Adrian's POV
Oh, she was begging now.
That made it even better.
"You smell so sweet..." I purred, breathing in her scent.
Then, without even giving her a chance to react, I grabbed her and threw her to the ground. She hit the earth hard with a gasp. Before she could move, before she could even think about crawling away, I was on top of her, hovering over her trembling form.
My hand pressed against her chest, right over her beating heart.
Thump-thump. Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
I could feel it racing beneath my palm, so fast, so alive. My nails began to elongate, sharpening into claws. They pressed against the fabric of her dress, right over that beautiful, beating heart.
I leaned down close to her face, watching the tears stream down her cheeks, watching her lips tremble as she tried to speak. "Adrian... Blake... stop... please..... It's me... Seraphina... wake up...."
