The stairs led them out onto a dock. It had cut through the mountains. The dark lapis water sloshed quietly under them. "Why did she let you leave instead of you helping to look for Faizure?" Atlus asks, wicking as the cold water splashes up and soaks his pant leg. Rock formations and shrubbery surround the outskirts of the islands edge. The sunlight is pale, showing signs of nightfall. "She doesn't put us to work. Doesn't want us to get hurt by doing anything. So she just lets us do whatever." Fiero whispers, listening to Hollowa short breathing. Is he hiding his face in my shoulder?, Fiero thinks. Sliding off his own mask, he plants it on his mates face. "Damn." Atlus says, taking in Fieros now revealed features. His pale skin goes great with his amber eyes, his lips holding a tinge of pink from the cold, his maroon hair laying over his brow. Atlus hates to admit it, but Fieros face made his piece lurch up. "Thank you." Hollow breathes in Fieros ear. He nods. Naut kicks a rock of the dock into the water, basically gagging at the scene. "I'm sorry, again. If I never would have said anything about you, he'd still love you." Fiero says, frowning. "He would've figured it out sooner or later, anyway." Hollow says. They turn away from the dock and walk up the sandy trail.
