🧠 The Boy Who Rewrote Me
Chapter 1: The Blank Between Us
Written by Day
INT. RAVENSHAW ACADEMY — MORNING
The bell rings with surgical precision.
EON LEE, 18, opens his eyes in the middle of literature class. He doesn't remember when he sat down. Or how he got there.
He blinks at the name on the notebook in front of him.
LEE, EON.
Block letters. His handwriting. But he doesn't recognize it.
He looks around.
Mahogany desks. Students in navy blazers. A chalkboard half-erased with Latin quotes.
"We write to remember. We erase to forget."
A headache pulses behind his eyes.
INT. HALLWAY — MINUTES LATER
Eon stares at his reflection in the hallway mirror.
He looks normal.
Hair neat. Tie knotted. Eyes dull.
But his memory ends sixteen months ago. A void after that.
No one seems concerned.
Even his best friend, Jiwan, just shrugs.
JIWAN
"You transferred in this semester. You've always been quiet, but… not like this."
EON
"What was I like before?"
Jiwan hesitates.
JIWAN
"You smiled. A lot. But it was always like... you knew something we didn't."
Eon touches his lips.
They feel foreign.
EXT. CAMPUS GARDEN — LUNCH
Eon sits alone, picking apart bread.
A shadow falls over him.
THAME, 19. Pale, composed, eyes like an unfinished novel.
He sits without asking.
THAME
You forgot me.
No greeting. No introduction.
Eon stares.
EON
Do I know you?
Thame chuckles softly.
THAME
That's what you said last time.
EON
Last time?
THAME
When you begged me to take it all away.
Beat.
THAME
You said: "If I forget you, make me fall again."
INT. LIBRARY — EVENING
Eon follows his own handwriting in the margins of an old novel:
"T — remind me why I chose to forget you."
He flips the page.
Tucked inside is a single photo.
Two boys. One smiling too hard.
The other looking like he knew the ending already.
They're holding hands.
The one smiling?
Eon.
The other?
Thame.
