Chapter 2 - Ch: 44-51

Professor X ultimately agreed to the news Lu Yifang brought back. After all, the Level 5 clearance Lu Yifang possessed was a great gift, so Professor X felt he should express more of his goodwill and willingness to cooperate with S.H.I.E.L.D.

With Jean Grey's help, Tony successfully underwent his first surgery. Jean Grey's power far exceeded Fury's expectations; the original Doctor was effectively relegated to assisting with hemostasis and bandaging.

Tony was naturally very happy to hear this news, but when he learned that the surgery was only happening because of his father, all that happiness turned into a huge shock.

Of course, none of this concerned Lu Yifang; he merely delivered a message and then returned to his usual school life. Fury also did not disturb him during this time.

········

Inside the New York Museum, several adults were leading a group of students. As New York's largest museum, such student tour groups were not uncommon, but these students were somewhat different. Some appeared to be only seven or eight years old, while others were young men nearing twenty. This was a student tour group spanning from elementary to university.

Ignoring the curious glances from others, a woman with long White hair walked up to a Neanderthal exhibit from the Ice Age and began to lecture.

"Students, please look. This is a Neanderthal. We once believed that Neanderthals became extinct when they encountered the more advanced Cro-Magnons. However, recent DNA research suggests that these two types of humans intermingled..."

"Katie, how are you feeling now?" Lu Yifang was standing at the edge of the group, and beside him stood a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl.

"Although it's incredible, it's true. The Doctor said I originally needed a month to be discharged, but now it's only been less than two weeks, and I've already met the discharge criteria," Katie said, clenching her hands with a voice of uncertain surprise.

"That should be because you awakened as a Mutant," Lu Yifang mused.

In fact, even without Wolverine's healing ability, Mutants are considerably stronger than ordinary humans in terms of physical attributes. It must be said, Mutants truly are far superior to ordinary humans.

"Lu Yifang!" Storm's dissatisfied voice came at this moment.

"Can't You pay attention in class?" Storm said, her gaze involuntarily falling on Katie, who was beside Lu Yifang. After Lu Yifang brought this girl to the X-Men School two days ago, she had been inseparable from Lu Yifang.

How could she not see the ambiguity in their relationship? This made Storm sigh, and she couldn't help but look at herself, thinking, 'Am I getting old? Should I find a boyfriend, just like Jean?'

"Storm Teacher, what are You thinking about?" A child, seeing Storm lost in thought, asked at this moment.

"Nothing," Storm quickly shook her head upon hearing this, then turned her gaze back to Lu Yifang.

"By the way, Lu Yifang, have You seen Bobby, John, and Rogue?"

"I saw them earlier. They should have gone towards the food court," Lu Yifang thought for a moment before replying.

"They're such troublesome children. Lu Yifang, You and Katie go bring them back."

"Okay." Lu Yifang nodded and turned to leave with Katie.

"Hmm, let me think which way the food court is."

"We can just check the electronic map," Katie said, looking around, then walked to an electronic map on the wall.

Watching Katie operate the electronic map, Lu Yifang also leaned in. "Let me see, this should be... What is this!"

"What's wrong?" Katie looked at Lu Yifang, whose expression had drastically changed, with confusion. At that moment, the electronic map she was operating also began to flicker.

A buzzing sound rang out. At this moment, Lu Yifang felt as if countless mosquitoes were buzzing in his ears, making him extremely agitated. Lu Yifang was all too familiar with this feeling; it was mental power, and a very powerful one at that.

Lu Yifang had only felt such powerful mental energy from Professor X and White Queen, but compared to them, this mental energy was more violent and showed a continuous trend of strengthening.

"Damn it, what is that thing?" Lu Yifang gritted his teeth and looked at Katie.

"Katie, phase me through?"

"Are You sure?" Katie's expression was somewhat surprised. There were so many people here; using her powers in public was not a good idea. However, when Katie noticed Lu Yifang's serious and anxious gaze, Katie decisively grabbed Lu Yifang and phased through the wall. She trusted Lu Yifang and believed in his decision.

Katie was very fast; although a few people did notice, they instinctively rubbed their eyes, thinking they had imagined it.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, a woman with short red hair stood in a daze. She was Jean Grey, and around her, faint electrical sparks could be seen emanating from some electronic devices.

But this was just the surface phenomenon. In Lu Yifang's true World, he clearly saw that the surroundings had become an energy vortex, and the center of the energy vortex was Jean's body.

At this moment, her body seemed to have transformed into a black hole, and within the black hole, a pair of blood-red, beast-like eyes could vaguely be seen. This entity hidden within the energy black hole was struggling, seemingly trying to break free, but countless chains appeared around it, binding it tightly.

And just as it was in a stalemate with these chains, it suddenly paused, its gaze turning to Lu Yifang. It felt a huge threat from Lu Yifang.

A powerful mental force surged out at this moment, sweeping outwards. Passersby nearby clutched their heads, groaning in pain. Clearly, this was the entity's warning.

However, facing this scene, Lu Yifang merely snorted coldly and strode towards Jean.

"I am... Phoe... nix!" Jean looked at Lu Yifang, speaking in a cold voice.

"So what? Whether You're a Phoenix or a common hen, stay put in your nest," Lu Yifang said, extending his hand and placing it on Jean's body.

At this instant, the power that had been continuously surging from Jean's body suddenly paused, then began to flow back into Jean's body at an even faster rate.

"No... What... what did I just do?" After the Phoenix let out an unwilling growl, Jean's consciousness returned, and she began to gasp for breath.

"Jean, what's wrong?" Cyclops, who had noticed Jean's abnormality from a distance, rushed over at this moment.

"Scott." Looking at the worried Cyclops, Jean took a deep breath and then said in as calm a voice as possible.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. My telepathy is just a little off. I seem to have trouble concentrating lately."

"Jean, I don't think this is just a concentration issue. A month ago, when You concentrated your mental power, it only made a book float in the air. Now, when You have nightmares, the entire room shakes."

"Indeed, if the current situation is just You having trouble concentrating, then things are a bit serious," Lu Yifang said, gesturing to the surroundings as a hint.

Jean then noticed the extreme fear in the eyes of the passersby looking at her. A woman was trembling on the ground, and upon noticing Jean's gaze, she instinctively moved to scream.

However, at this moment, everyone's movements froze, as if time had stopped.

"It seems I'm not too late," Professor X said, slowly arriving before everyone in his wheelchair.

"Professor, I..."

"It's alright, Jean. We'll talk about everything slowly when we get back," Professor X said, waving his hand.

Ch 45

Scott, go help Ororo bring the children; it's time for us to go back," Professor X said to Cyclops.

"Understood, Professor." Although Cyclops was a little worried about Jean, he felt very relieved now that Professor X was here.

Watching Cyclops leave, Professor X looked at Jean, who was still distraught, and sighed.

"It's alright, these people will soon forget what just happened, and your matter will also pass. Let's go."

"I'm afraid not yet. John, Bobby, and Rogue seem to have run off to the food street," Lu Yifang reminded.

"Such naughty little rascals." As Professor X spoke, his eyes suddenly blinked blankly, and Lu Yifang felt a powerful yet peaceful mental energy emanating at that moment.

"They seem to have run into a bit of trouble. We should go handle it."

"Wait a minute," Katie's voice suddenly rang out. She was standing in front of a display screen, which showed a large amount of data flashing by, and Katie was using a small tablet to adjust this data.

"Child, what are you doing?" Professor X turned and looked at Katie.

"Done," Katie said, having already unplugged the data cable. "Although Professor, you can erase these people's memories, there are also cameras here, so it's better to clear everything together."

Hearing this, Professor X was momentarily stunned, but then a relieved smile appeared on his face. "Good child, well done."

Meanwhile, on the other side, Bobby and John were looking at two provocative youths with amused expressions.

"Kid, why are you acting so tough in front of us?" a hooligan youth said unhappily.

This is what happened: these two idle hooligan youths were originally strolling around, and after seeing a pretty girl, they prepared to strike up a conversation.

However, the girl's two male companions completely ignored them, and their expressions even showed that they didn't take them seriously at all, which made the two hooligans very unhappy.

"It's simple, because I really am awesome," John said, playing with his lighter, but after hesitating for a moment, he finally gave up on lighting it.

"Why aren't you still showing off?" Bobby suddenly said at this moment. He was originally a calm person who didn't cause trouble, but now he noticed the way the two hooligans were looking at Rogue, which made him feel very unsettled and annoyed.

"They're not interested in the person I like, so why should I make a move?" John said disdainfully, not falling for Bobby's provocation at all.

But while John and Bobby were talking, one of the hooligan youths suddenly made a move and snatched John's lighter.

"Give it back to me!" John immediately stood up.

"Why?" the hooligan youth said, lighting a cigarette with the lighter and looking provocatively at John.

"Weren't you so awesome? Why aren't you still acting tough now?"

"I think you've made a…." Looking at the lit cigarette in the hooligan's mouth, John really wanted to make a move, but at that moment, he saw Lu Yifang walking towards him.

Seeing John stop his actions, the hooligan youth also turned around in confusion and saw an Asian youth already standing in front of him.

"A helper," the hooligan youth frowned, but soon his tightly furrowed brows relaxed. This kid didn't look like he could fight, so he probably just needed a threat.

"Kid, you… *slap*!"

Lu Yifang backhanded the idiot, sending him flying three meters away, then walked to the table without even looking.

"Guys, this extracurricular practice class is over; we should go back."

"Bastard, you're looking for death." The hooligan on the ground touched his swollen face and immediately became enraged.

"If you make another move, I won't go easy on you," Lu Yifang turned around and said with an unfriendly expression.

"You…." The hooligan youth and his companion immediately flinched back upon hearing this. That slap earlier had given him a feeling of being utterly unable to resist, and it was clear that even both of them together couldn't beat this guy in front of them.

"What's going on?" a woman in a police uniform holding a walkie-talkie walked over. Clearly, she was likely a police auxiliary responsible for maintaining public order here.

"Police, it's great that you're here. This guy suddenly attacked me!" Seeing the auxiliary police officer approach, the hooligan youth immediately acted as if he had found a savior and began to complain.

However, facing the unfriendly gaze of the auxiliary police, Lu Yifang calmly took out a small notebook.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. business, bystanders step aside!"

The female auxiliary police officer looked at Lu Yifang's small notebook with the eagle emblem, her pupils immediately constricted, and after apologizing, she quickly kept a wide distance from the two hooligan youths. Could these two youths, who could make S.H.I.E.L.D. take action, be Terrorists plotting a bombing?

"S.H.I.E.L.D.!" The two hooligan youths were also startled by this. They finally understood why this ordinary-looking guy in front of them was so good at fighting.

"Get lost," Lu Yifang waved his hand impatiently. They were just two ordinary hooligans; he wouldn't stoop to making things difficult for them.

However, just as the two hooligans felt as if they had been granted a great pardon, Lu Yifang's gaze suddenly fell upon the juice that Bobby and his two companions had ordered on the table.

"Wait a moment," Lu Yifang said, then asked the waitress for two more glasses of juice.

"You two pay the bill."

"Huh?" The two hooligan youths were somewhat taken aback by this sudden coercion.

Lu Yifang, meanwhile, handed the other glass of juice to Katie, who had followed him. Well, sometimes making things difficult was good; as for things possibly being dropped or lost, let them drop, they weren't valuable anyway.

"Dude, nice work," John couldn't help but give Lu Yifang a thumbs-up, watching the hooligan youth obediently paying the bill.

However, Lu Yifang did not answer him, instead turning his gaze to Professor X, who was slowly approaching in his wheelchair.

"Don't show off your abilities so easily in the future." Professor X looked at John with some displeasure. He had clearly seen that if Lu Yifang hadn't arrived in time, John would probably have used his abilities in public.

Upon hearing Professor X's words, John immediately became unhappy, as he clearly wasn't the one who had made a move. "That's not fair, Yifang clearly…."

"Yifang is different from you; he won't let things get out of control," Professor X said calmly. In terms of ability, as long as Lu Yifang didn't go too far, he would simply appear to be a bit good at fighting, whereas once John's Fire control ability was revealed, everyone would know he was a Mutant.

Moreover, Lu Yifang was also registered with S.H.I.E.L.D.; even if he exposed his abilities, who within the system would dare to easily confront him?

"I understand," John said, clenching his fists unwillingly, and finally said nothing more.

"Let's go." However, just as Professor X turned his wheelchair, a news report suddenly played on the television mounted on the wall, causing Professor X's body to pause involuntarily.

"Breaking News: Washington live report. The White House Oval Office has been attacked. The specific situation is still unfolding, but it can be confirmed that President Obama was not injured. According to multiple sources, the attacker is likely one or more Mutants."

"Oh, this is not good news," Professor X muttered to himself. After a moment of silence, he looked at Lu Yifang.

"Yifang, I hope you immediately go find Nick Fury. He should have some information we want to know."

"Are you sure?" Lu Yifang looked at Jean. Clearly, Jean's previous risky use of Cerebro had loosened the Phoenix mental seal within her, and she needed to reinforce the seal immediately. Without Lu Yifang, if Jean went out of control again, who would be able to control her?

"Don't worry, I know very well that thing doesn't come out easily."

Ch 46

Mr. President, I must say you're quite lucky; it was just by a hair's breadth." An elderly man with glasses stared at a small hole on the table. Hours earlier, a Mutant had pinned the U.S. President to this very table. If it had been just a little bit closer, that small knife wouldn't have been stuck in the table, but in the President's forehead.

"I wonder if you'll be so lucky next time?" The man's gaze shifted to Obama.

"You didn't come here to mock me, William Stryker," Obama said, meeting the man's eyes.

"Of course not. Who in this World would dare to mock the President of the United States?" the man said calmly.

"Then stop beating around the bush. What do you want?" Obama knew this guy had significant influence in the Military, and his visit was definitely not without reason.

"I'm here to ask for your approval of a special operation."

Hearing this, Obama's heart immediately became wary. "You want me to authorize a special operation? Haven't you in the Military already done enough things on your own initiative, acting first and reporting later?"

"The fact that you're specifically coming to me this time means this matter is absolutely huge, so big that even you in the Military dare not easily bear the consequences. So, if something goes wrong, you want to drag me down with you, right?" Obama wasn't so easily fooled into becoming a scapegoat for no reason.

"Oh, is that so? I thought you were here to discuss the school reform plan," Obama said with a smile, pouring himself a drink to calm his nerves.

"Mr. President, you're truly humorous."

As the two spoke, a man in a suit walked in through the door.

"Mr. President, I'm here," the man said.

"Councilor Kelly, welcome," Obama said, shaking hands with the man before beginning introductions.

"This is Colonel Stryker, a senior scientist in the Military. He has deep research into Mutants. And this is… "

"I know, the famous Councilor Kelly. I heard that since the President took office, the Mutant department has been under your charge," Stryker said, extending his hand proactively.

"I heard you were a staunch supporter of the MutantRegistration Act. The proposal of this act gained you a lot of votes, but it seems your attitude towards Mutants has changed now. Is that really okay?"

Hearing the obvious jab, Councilor Kelly showed no sign of anger. After all, he wasn't Councilor Kelly at all. The real councilor who clamored to lock all Mutants in prison had long been experimented on and killed by the hot-tempered Magneto. The current Councilor Kellywas merely Mystique in disguise.

"This is just for the greater good," the fake Councilor Kelly said with a smile.

"I, however, think this is encouraging an increase in danger," Stryker said, placing a folder he had tucked under his arm onto the table and opening it.

"We've collected some evidence showing that there's a training institution in the northern suburbs of New Yorkthat specializes in training Mutants."

"Is the information reliable?" Obama asked in return.

"The intelligence comes from a prisoner detained after the Liberty Island incident."

"Are you talking about Eric Lensherr? You've seen him?" Mystique, disguised as Councilor Kelly, subconsciously blurted out.

"That's right, it's our infamous Magneto. Speaking of the construction of his plastic prison, I contributed quite a bit, so naturally, I pay him regular visits to ask for his after-sales feedback."

"Oh, I see." Mystique nodded, secretly thinking, "This time, Magneto's secluded spot seems a bit dangerous. He's run into a tough opponent. I should get him out early."

As Mystique pondered how to rescue Magneto this time, she inadvertently glanced at a photo in the President's hand, and her pupils immediately constricted. "Holy crap, isn't this Professor X's Mutant Academy?"

Thinking this, Mystique's gaze towards Stryker couldn't help but change. "Barking dogs don't bite, but biting dogs don't bark randomly. Compared to Councilor Kelly, who only knows how to clamor about locking Mutants in prison, this guy is much more ruthless, and he knows a lot more. This posture clearly shows he intends to raid Professor X's stronghold and deal with Mutants to the death."

"Mr. President, please consider this carefully. What Colonel Stryker calls a 'training institution' appears to be a school," Mystique reminded Obama. Although the Brotherhood and the X-Men sometimes fight fiercely among themselves, they are all Mutants after all, and fundamentally, they are on the same side.

"Oh, I don't think it's just a school," Stryker said, throwing out another photo. This photo wasn't very clear, only vaguely showing a blurry object that looked like an airplane.

"What the hell is this? A jet?" Obama asked, looking at the photo in confusion.

"Who knows, but it can take off from a basketball court. That much is certain."

"This is truly…" Obama ruffled his hair, realizing he had already stood up.

"Mr. President, I think it's time we did something," Stryker added appropriately at this moment.

Obama didn't answer directly but let out a long sigh. He finally understood why Stryker had come. Imagine: 'U.S. Soldiers Attack a New York School.' Once this news got out, its explosiveness would probably be no less than the Abomination incident. After all, it touched upon some of the public's bottom lines.

And the Military's prestige had already significantly dropped during the last Abomination incident. If another such event occurred, even a five-star General Rosscouldn't handle it.

Stryker's purpose was indeed as he had thought: this was clearly to make him take the blame.

But he couldn't refuse to take this blame. In New York City, right under his nose, there was a Mutant training organization, and this organization very likely possessed large-scale offensive weapons, yet he knew nothing about it.

"Damn it, are the Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the CIA, and that S.H.I.E.L.D. all pigs? They can't even find this? They should all just go eat shit, it's a waste of taxpayers' hard-earned money."

Of course, there was another possibility: that some of them knew about the existence of this organization but tacitly allowed it. Thinking this, Obama couldn't help but clench his fists.

During peacetime, the power of the President of the United States is not as great as imagined. Not every U.S. President is as powerful as Roosevelt. Just like him now, he felt somewhat sidelined. Especially considering he had just been the target of an attempted assassination by a Mutant, this added to Obama's sense of frustration. "If I, Obama, don't show my power, are you all going to stop treating me as the President of the United States?"

"Alright, William, listen to me." Obama turned to Colonel Stryker, his eyes now firm.

"You have the right to search, detain, and interrogate. But you better not let me see the bodies of Mutantchildren wantonly killed on tomorrow's morning news."

Facing Obama's obviously symbolic threat and warning, Colonel Stryker smiled slightly. "As you wish, Mr. President."

Ch 47

President, I do know something about what you're talking about, but this is..." Fury held the phone, somewhat anxiously trying to explain to Obama.

"Beep, beep, beep..." However, at this moment, a busy signal came from the other end of the phone. Clearly, the other party did not want to hear an explanation.

"Damn it, who the hell screwed me over?" Fury slammed the phone down, his already dark face growing even darker.

After a moment of silence, Fury opened his communicator. "Coulson, notify Lu Yifang. I need to see him."

"No need, I'm already here." Lu Yifang stood at the door and knocked.

"That saves me a bit of trouble. Professor X sent you, didn't he?" Fury waved his hand, signaling Lu Yifang to come in.

"That's right. He felt that some things needed to be discussed with you to avoid any misunderstandings between us." Lu Yifang walked over and plopped down onto a chair.

"You seem to be in trouble too."

"It's a bit troublesome. President Obama just called me personally to inquire about the Mutants," Fury said with a gloomy expression.

"President Obama was just assassinated by a Mutant, and then someone immediately complained to the President, presenting evidence of my close ties with Mutants recently. This is clearly an attempt to stab me in the back." At this moment, Fury's mind was racing, wondering who did it. The Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the CIA, or the Military, or perhaps a few others? It seemed all were possible.

Thinking of this, Fury couldn't help but be stunned. When did I make so many enemies? As expected, a tall tree catches the wind, and a dark person gets more trouble.

"That sounds pretty serious."

"It's fine, I'm okay for now." Fury waved his hand.

Although he was inexplicably rebuked by the U.S. President, it wasn't enough to make Fury panic. S.H.I.E.L.D. is not directly subordinate to the U.S. Government; his superior is the World Security Council. Although the United States still holds a significant position within it, and his headquarters are located in New York, just like the United Nations, no matter how powerful the U.S. President is, he can't simply issue an order to remove the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

"Do you think Magneto did this?" Fury looked at Lu Yifang. Although Magneto is currently imprisoned, he knows that the prison will not be able to hold Magneto forever, so it's not impossible for him to be remotely controlling this matter from inside.

"Are you insulting Magneto's intelligence?" Lu Yifang rolled his eyes at the remark.

"First, this matter doesn't fit Magneto's style at all. As a true gentleman, if he's going to do something, he'll make it big news. If he were to assassinate the U.S. President, he would choose a major holiday like U.S. National Day, doing it live in front of all viewers to make the United States and the World feel the long-standing anger and dissatisfaction from Mutants."

"And besides that, more importantly, what's the point of doing this? Magneto has never bothered to hide his agenda; he yearns for the prosperity and development of Mutants. Assassinating the U.S. President would only make the public hate Mutants even more, pushing the halted Mutant Registration Act back into effect, which would bring no benefit to Mutants."

"That makes some sense," Fury mused.

Seeing Fury's expression, Lu Yifang knew that the guy wasn't entirely convinced, so he added again.

"You should be very clear about Mystique's abilities. If the Brotherhood has truly reached the point of infiltrating the White House and playing with knives around the U.S. President, then wouldn't a swap be much better in comparison?"

"Alright, although your statement is very dangerous, it has indeed dispelled my suspicions." Fury nodded, acknowledging Lu Yifang's words.

"So do you think it could be a single Mutant?"

"With all due respect, it's no longer the situation of the Cold War in the 1960s and 1970s. Both in technology and understanding of Mutants, you have made great strides."

"And in the White House, you must have had defense designs against Mutants, right? In such a situation, if a single Mutant with no power still managed to infiltrate, even if that Mutant was a spatial type, it wouldn't wash away the shame of your security and intelligence organizations."

"In fact, we suspect that Mutant definitely knew about the White House's security situation, and that level of classified information is definitely not something a single Mutant could access," Fury explained.

"There are only two Mutant organizations with such strength right now. We've already ruled out Magneto, and it can't be the X-Men, so I think you should have a suspect in mind," Lu Yifang said, leaning on the table and looking at Fury.

"I was a bit uncertain before, but now after exchanging information, I can pinpoint the target. Whoever benefits the most from this is naturally the one who did it," Fury said coldly.

"The Military." Compared to the weakened Federal Bureau of Investigation, the CIA, and so on, the only entity with the power to orchestrate this assassination and also manage to frame S.H.I.E.L.D. is likely the U.S. Military. Of course, it's not ruled out that other forces were kicking someone while they were down, but the main perpetrator of this incident is definitely the Military.

Speaking of which, Fury's struggle with the Military has never ceased. General Ross leaving was not enough to stop all of this.

Because, to be honest, the main reason is that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s functions are too comprehensive. Fury gets involved in everything, which naturally makes many people unhappy.

There was a period when the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the CIA, also intelligence organizations, had even more intense conflicts with S.H.I.E.L.D. However, they didn't have the backing of the U.S. Military, and after clashing for so long and not being able to win, they no longer dared to confront them openly.

"Based on the intelligence I've obtained, the most likely suspect is this person." Fury pulled up a photo of Colonel Stryker from a holographic display.

"And your Mutant traitor."

Hearing this, Lu Yifang immediately replied, "Don't worry, you don't need to trouble yourselves with the traitor. We will handle it ourselves. With Professor X here, we will quickly catch that guy and understand the whole truth."

"That would be for the best." Fury nodded. He also believed in Professor X's strength.

"So now there's only Colonel Stryker. Our Colonel Stryker is truly bold," Fury said, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

This plan seemed perfect, but unfortunately, Colonel Stryker seemed to underestimate the extent of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cooperation with Mutants. Because Lu Yifang acted as a communication link in the middle, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the X-Men were able to exchange information in a timely manner.

And since the enemy had been identified, Fury was not one to take a loss.

"According to the information we've obtained, President Obama has authorized Colonel Stryker to launch a military operation against the Mutant Academy," Fury stated, sharing the intelligence he had just received.

"What?" Hearing this, Lu Yifang almost jumped up. Damn it, this was an attempt to wipe out the X-Men's stronghold.

"Calm down, because I'm about to give you a mission." Fury said, deliberately clearing his throat.

"We at S.H.I.E.L.D. recently had a batch of new Agents join. I have some doubts about their abilities, so I've decided to arrange a counter-terrorism exercise for them. And as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s special security Advisor, I authorize Coulson and Melinda to assist you in completing this mission. Do you accept this mission?"

"Yes, I'm very willing." Lu Yifang sneered at the words. If he still didn't understand Fury's meaning, then he would be a fool.

"I will arrange the exercise location well, and I hope no real Terrorists appear during the exercise."

"Good, that's best. You may go." Fury said, waving his hand.

Watching Lu Yifang leave in a hurry, the smile on Fury's face also began to fade.

Ch 48

Late at night, near the outskirts of Mutant Academy, a group of figures quietly gathered.

"Officer, newly promoted Agent 0233 of S.H.I.E.L.D. reports." A young Agent strode up to Lu Yifang, saluting Lu Yifang and Coulson and Melinda beside him.

"Agent 0233, have you completed everything I instructed you to do?" Lu Yifang cleared his throat and said seriously.

"Of course, it's ready, Officer, but..." Agent 0233 nodded, but his expression was hesitant. As an Agent, he shouldn't ask what he shouldn't, especially since he was just a newly promoted S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, and the person in front of him was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Special Security Advisor, and the two beside the Advisor were S.H.I.E.L.D.'s famous Senior Level Seven Agents. But even so, thinking of the Special Security Advisor's command just now, he was really a bit...

"Agent 0233, do you have any questions?"

"Just a little." Agent 0233 gritted his teeth and finally said so. If he didn't understand, he felt this exercise couldn't continue.

"Officer, aren't we having an anti-terrorism exercise? Why are we using live ammunition, and why did you even bring this guy?" Agent 0233 looked at the small Rocket launcher not far away, unconsciously pouting.

"May I ask, when the enemy appears later, do we really have to shoot?"

"Nonsense, of course, you have to shoot. And if you can hit the head, never hit the chest; if you hit the chest, definitely add two more shots. Don't hesitate when you see the armed helicopter; immediately take it down with a single shot. Anyway, bring out all your unique skills and go all out, absolutely don't treat it as an exercise," Lu Yifang instructed seriously.

"So this isn't an exercise at all, but a real battle disguised as an exercise," Agent 0233 muttered silently in his heart when he heard this.

But to say it wasn't an exercise, Agent 0233 was also a bit suspicious, because if it was an exercise, besides live ammunition and small Rocket launchers, they also brought a lot of fake blood, and a lot of makeup equipment and cameras. Wait, even an exercise doesn't need these things; only acting needs these things, right? What exactly are these bigshots trying to do?

"Agent 0233, I have a very important question for you: can you film and take photos?" Lu Yifang patted Agent 0233's shoulder and said seriously.

"Although I wouldn't say I'm proficient, I'm quite skilled at using them," Agent 0233 answered subconsciously. Filming and photography are definitely basic skills for an excellent Agent. He was a bit confused why the Security Advisor would ask this.

"Very good, then can you do makeup?" Lu Yifang nodded and continued to ask.

"Makeup?" Agent 0233 was even more bewildered.

"Officer, I only know some basic makeup, but the female colleagues in the team have received professional training and mostly have good makeup skills."

"That puts my mind at ease. You can go and wait for orders now," Lu Yifang said with a sigh of relief, waving his hand.

"My God, 'at ease'! Your answers, which vary so greatly from front to back, make us even more uneasy, okay? Are all the S.H.I.E.L.D. seniors a bunch of lunatics?" Agent 0233 said with a long face, silently retreating.

"These newly promoted Agents, their obedience has decreased," Melinda observed Agent 0233's actions throughout, then shook her head and said with some dissatisfaction.

"Mei, they've done quite well. After all, even you and I in the past would have felt uneasy facing such strange orders," Coulson said with a smile.

"Lu Yifang, I actually think this might be too much. After all, with Professor X here, with just a thought, none of those guys can escape."

"It would be great if Professor X were at the Academy. I already called Katie at the Academy earlier. Shortly after Professor X returned, he rushed to find Magneto to understand the situation," Lu Yifang said, shrugging helplessly.

"Even if Professor X isn't here, there are others..."

"They all went out," Lu Yifang interrupted Coulson. "Cyclops left with Professor X, and Jean and Storm went to capture that Mutant traitor who assassinated the President."

It must be said that Colonel Stryker picked the perfect timing. If it weren't for Fury's reminder, he would have been home tonight, and he naturally wouldn't have known what would happen at the Academy. At that time, something might have really gone wrong.

"That doesn't sound very good."

"Fortunately, after I informed Katie, most of the Mutant children escaped into the secret passage. The remaining ones are the ones who can fight." As Lu Yifang spoke, seven or eight armed helicopters quickly flew across the sky.

"Very good, they're all here, and they haven't discovered us. Agent 0233, are you ready?" Lu Yifang turned to look at the young Agent behind him.

"Officer, I'm ready." Agent 0233 shouldered the Rocket launcher, already aiming at an armed helicopter.

"Idiot, who told you to take that? I want photos and videos; record all of this for me."

"Sorry, Officer." Hearing this, Agent 0233 obediently switched to a video camera.

Several armed helicopters finally stopped above Mutant Academy. Some armed helicopters landed on the ground, while the others began to drop fully armed soldiers from the air.

Under Lu Yifang's gaze, a group of soldiers had already rushed into the Academy building, and at that moment, the soldier at the very front was blasted out by a burst of Fire.

"Very good, evidence acquired. Now it's our turn to act." Seeing the Fire created by John, Lu Yifang immediately ordered them to move.

"Don't worry, Officer, I'll definitely film all of this," Agent 0233 said confidently.

"Are you brain-damaged? Who told you to film? Give me the Rocket launcher!" Lu Yifang said, snatching the Rocket launcher and firing a shot at one of the armed helicopters.

"See? This is real action."

"I..." At this moment, Agent 0233 seemed to vaguely see Lu Yifang putting on sunglasses, clenching a cigar, and with a large gold chain around his neck, accompanied by what seemed to be a mocking melody echoing in his ears.

Thus, Agent 0233, filled with inner curses, shouted "It's high noon!" and grabbed his gun, charging out.

"Boom! Boom!" Several armed helicopters were successively shot down by small Rocket launchers, and before the special forces could react, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s newly promoted Agents had already charged out.

Although these soldiers selected by Stryker for the mission were elites and not much different from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Agents, their mission was to capture targets alive, so they mostly carried tranquilizer darts. After all, President Barack Obama's threat still had some effect.

However, Lu Yifang's side was absolutely standard with live ammunition, and with Lu Yifang and the Mutants like Wolverine still at the Academy, they were quickly overwhelmed.

Ch 49

Where is Stryker?" Lu Yifang grabbed a special forces soldier and pressed him against the wall. Judging by his commanding posture, he seemed to be a squad leader.

"Die." Feeling the strong threat from the Mutant in front of him, the special forces squad leader decisively drew his live-ammunition gun and pulled the trigger, aiming at Lu Yifang's forehead.

Bang! The bullet fired, hitting Lu Yifang's forehead at point-blank range, a shot impossible to dodge. However, the moment it touched Lu Yifang, the bullet stopped, and after spinning rapidly for a moment, it fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

"Monst… Monster!" The special forces squad leader's face showed extreme terror.

At this moment, Lu Yifang snatched the gun from the special forces squad leader's hand and pressed it against the special forces squad leader's forehead.

"I'll ask you one more time, where is Stryker? I'm sure you don't have the ability to block bullets, do you?" Lu Yifang said with a cold smile.

He was not a soft-hearted person, especially since Colonel Stryker had targeted Mutant Academy. This had already crossed Lu Yifang's bottom line. Since Stryker dared to extend his claws, Lu Yifang dared to chop them off.

"Colonel Stryker is still in the air. According to the plan, he will arrive five minutes after us." With Lu Yifang holding a gun to his forehead, the squad leader compromised and revealed his intelligence.

"In the air." Lu Yifang's pupils contracted upon hearing this. He looked up and realized that besides the shot-down helicopters, there was an armed transport plane not far away, with two armed helicopters flanking it.

"That old fox." Lu Yifang instantly understood Stryker's intention. After all, he was attacking Mutant Academy, and Mutant abilities were ever-changing. Who knew if a Mutant might appear and directly capture him, following the tactic of 'capturing the leader to capture the bandits'? Therefore, this old fox deliberately delayed by five minutes to let his subordinate combat squad scout out Mutant Academy first.

"Damn it, I acted too quickly." Lu Yifang, with a look of annoyance, knocked out the squad leader and turned his gaze to Coulson.

"Coulson, can you hit it from this distance?"

"Don't worry, I'm a professional." Coulson said with a smile as he shouldered the small rocket launcher and aimed at the largest armed transport plane.

However, just as Coulson was aiming, he suddenly noticed a flash of Fire from one of the armed helicopters.

"Damn it, they got the first move." Coulson said, his face changing drastically. Based on his years of combat experience, that flash of Fire was definitely a rocket fired by the enemy first.

"Perfect timing. Since you're seeking death, it saves me the trouble of aiming." Lu Yifang said with a cold smile upon hearing this, and immediately moved to meet the flash of Fire.

Reflection!

The moment the shell touched Lu Yifang's body, his ability activated. The shell did not explode; instead, it bounced back along the exact same trajectory.

Boom! The armed helicopter that fired the shell instantly exploded, and the dazzling Fire engulfed the two planes next to it.

"Officer, what should we do?" Inside the armed transport plane, a soldier asked Stryker.

Given the distance between the two planes, the explosion of that armed helicopter would at most cause the armed transport plane to jolt. But in terms of momentum, it seemed somewhat unfavorable.

"What do you mean, what should we do? Of course, retreat!" Colonel Stryker roared furiously.

When he received the news and learned that another unknown force had infiltrated Mutant Academy, he immediately knew he had been tricked. But that was not the worst part; the most terrifying thing was this one shell.

Because Professor X, who was determined to meet Magneto, had fallen into the trap he had specifically set, Colonel Stryker had come personally with such confidence. And although he had promised President Obama earlier not to escalate the situation, for his great cause of overthrowing all Mutants in the World, he had secretly brought heavy weaponry as a precaution. If he encountered a tough opponent, he would absolutely not hesitate to use it.

With air superiority, overwhelming troop numbers, a surprise attack when the enemy's main force was absent, and heavy weaponry. Colonel Stryker, having calculated everything, was full of confidence. How could he lose in a situation where helicopters were practically riding on the enemy's face?

But the current reality was that the suddenly appearing unknown armed force seemed to have even stronger firepower than them. Hadn't that rocket launcher already fired its shell? How did it come back? This was clearly cheating! How could they fight this? How could they win?

"I still underestimated Mutant Academy. I didn't expect that even without Professor X, the Water in this Mutant Academy is still so deep." At this moment, Colonel Stryker was very unwilling, but he wasn't so foolish as to stubbornly resist now.

Anyway, the other side had already succeeded. It was better to run away quickly now. Stryker lifted his arm, glanced at his illuminated electronic watch, and immediately showed a strange smile.

"Tch, he didn't get blown up. He's lucky." As the Fire dissipated, Lu Yifang looked at the distant armed transport plane and said with some regret.

"Reporting, Officer, the battle is over. A small portion of the enemies were annihilated, and the rest have all surrendered and been captured alive," Agent 0233 reported.

"Very good. Now gather all the female Agents and bring makeup items and fake blood."

"Understood, Officer!" Agent 0233 replied firmly. At this point, he had finally completely given up on questioning this Officer's commands.

"Lu Yifang, what's going on?" Katie also walked over at this moment. Lu Yifang hadn't explained too clearly over the phone. It was fortunate that Lu Yifang had such authority within Mutant Academy, otherwise, if other Mutant students had said someone was coming to bomb the Academy tonight, they would probably have been laughed at.

"Of course, we've been targeted by enemies, and it seems quite troublesome," Lu Yifang said with a grim expression.

"Who are the enemies?" Logan bared his claws. To be honest, he hadn't really enjoyed the fight just now before it ended. And standing beside him at this moment, besides Pyro John and Iceman Bobby, was a young man who could turn his body into steel.

Among the students at this stage, apart from Lu Yifang, these three also had good potential and could be considered capable fighters.

"I'll tell you later, Colossus, please go bring out the students hiding in the secret passage."

The young man whose entire body could turn into steel nodded upon hearing this and turned to walk into the school. Soon after, he brought the students out.

Although the battle above had been intense, the students in the secret passage were not greatly affected, so they did not appear frightened at this moment; instead, they looked around with curiosity.

And when all the students had gathered in front of Lu Yifang, Lu Yifang deliberately coughed.

"Hello, everyone. I am Lu Yifang, your Student Union President."

Upon hearing this, a group of students immediately froze, then began to whisper to each other. Soon, a Mutant child of about ten years old stepped forward.

"But we haven't heard of a Student Union in the school."

"Oh, really? Well, now there is." Lu Yifang said, and to increase credibility, he turned his gaze to Logan.

At this moment, Wolverine Logan was boredly extending and retracting his claws, enjoying the painful yet stimulating sensation. Suddenly, he noticed Lu Yifang's gaze and immediately froze.

"What are you looking at?"

Ch 50

Before Logan could react, the students nodded knowingly, taking his silence as agreement. It seemed they truly had a Student Union President now.

"As your Student Union President, I have something to say. Soon, these Agent sisters will put makeup on you, and your task is to play dead. The more tragically dead, the better."

Hearing Lu Yifang's words, the children nodded, half-understanding, as the S.H.I.E.L.D. female Agents approached with their makeup kits.

"Everyone, change into your pajamas! Don't be stingy with the fake blood, and don't worry about your clothes getting stained beyond washing. Professor X will buy you new pajamas when he gets back," Lu Yifang said, posing the Mutant children while Agent 0233 and others began taking photos.

"Buddy, what are you doing?" John asked curiously.

"Stop talking nonsense. You and Bobby go check the kitchen for any leftover tofu pudding or pig intestines. Get it all over yourselves. I'll have them give you two a close-up that will definitely make you the tragic headline of tomorrow's New York Times."

"...??" John and Bobby exchanged bewildered glances, their faces blank.

"I have to say, that's a pretty wicked idea," Coulson said, walking over. Having been involved in the plan from the start, he naturally knew what Lu Yifang was trying to do.

"But I believe Director Fury will love it."

"It's my honor to serve Director Fury," Lu Yifang and Coulson exchanged glances, both chuckling mischievously.

"Then I'll leave the rest to you. I think you're better at handling this kind of thing than I am. And please help look after these Mutant children," Lu Yifang said, patting Coulson's shoulder.

"What about you?" Coulson's smile faded at the question.

"I have other matters to attend to. This isn't over yet," Lu Yifang said coldly.

"Where are we going now?" Logan asked, seeing Lu Yifang approach him. Although he was technically the oldest and most authoritative person there, Logan knew very well that Lu Yifang knew much more than him.

In both the Liberty Island incident and this unprovoked disaster, Lu Yifang had demonstrated his abilities well. And Wolverine preferred the role of a super enforcer rather than a leader.

"First, to Magneto's prison. Professor X hasn't returned after all this time, and we can't contact him. I suspect he's met with an accident," Lu Yifang said with a sigh.

In his heart, he had roughly guessed that Professor X had fallen into a trap. It could only be said that Professor X was a bit too eager and careless. If he had waited for Lu Yifang to return, or talked to him, things wouldn't have turned out this way.

"Lu Yifang, can we come?" Katie's voice came, and behind her, Bobby, John, and Colossus had also gathered around.

"Although we don't know what's going on, the current situation indicates there's a problem, so... we want to help," Bobby said earnestly to Lu Yifang.

Lu Yifang glanced at them, a slight smile on his lips. "Then come along."

"So, the first problem is, we need to find transportation to Magneto's prison."

"That's not difficult," Logan said, smiling at the mention.

Three minutes later, the group arrived at the garage, where more than a dozen luxury cars were parked.

"I remember this seems to be Cyclops's private garage." After a full ten seconds of 'down with the rich, redistribute the land' scrolling through his mind, a bold, uncontrollable idea suddenly arose in Lu Yifang's heart.

"Do you think Cyclops is Professor X's illegitimate son?"

Hearing this, everyone present immediately fell silent. After all, Cyclops, who was constantly busy with Professor X, didn't seem to have time to earn money, yet he had such a large private garage. How could this be...?

"Uh, let's get in the car first. I think that guy definitely won't mind us borrowing it." It was Logan who finally broke the silence. Although Wolverine, as a love rival, usually enjoyed picking on Cyclops, if he joked about this, Cyclops would surely poke hundreds of holes in him with his gaze.

No, the above sentence has no metaphorical exaggeration.

On a dark night, a red Rolls-Royce Phantom drove out of the Mutant Academy. Besides Logan, who was driving, Katie, John, and Bobby were also in the car. As for Colossus, because a reliable senior had to stay at the Mutant Academy, Colossus voluntarily remained behind.

Okay, the real reason was that he was too big and it was a bit tight inside, so everyone unanimously decided to kick him out.

"Katie, have you contacted Storm and Jean?" Lu Yifang looked at Katie, who was tinkering with a computer behind him. They had been out for so long; with Storm and Jean's abilities, they should have already caught the guy and be preparing to return in the stealth jet.

"Of course, I've sent them our situation and used the computer as a location beacon. I believe they'll rendezvous with us in the jet soon," Katie said, looking up.

"Kid, are you sure you want to rescue Magneto?" Many times, Wolverine was willing to be a strongman, but that didn't mean he was brainless.

Magneto was a high-profile prisoner. Not to mention the dangers of rescuing him, the most important thing was that they were the X-Men. The X-Men, under Professor X, attacking a prison was a very dangerous signal in itself.

"Don't worry, we don't need to make a move." Knowing Logan's concerns, Lu Yifang had already pulled out his phone.

"The X-Men can't do it, but the Brotherhood can. Wait a moment, let me make a call to Mystique. We'll just provide some help from the shadows," Lu Yifang said, already dialing his phone.

"Is something wrong?" Mystique's cold voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Mystique, I'm going to rescue Magneto. What do you say, interested in causing some trouble together?" Lu Yifang expected Mystique to agree immediately, but to his surprise, there was silence on the other end. After a moment, a relieved, aged voice came through.

"Lu Yifang, knowing you care about me so much, this is the best news I've heard today."

"Magneto, you're already out?" Hearing the voice on the other end, Lu Yifang was stunned, thinking how fast Mystique's efficiency was.

"So where are you now?"

"I'm right in front of you." Just as the voice on the other end of the phone finished speaking, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Lu Yifang was in suddenly vibrated and floated into the air.

The car drifted suspended for a hundred meters, then from the bushes in the forest ahead of the car, Magneto, with a smiling face, walked out.

Ch 51

How much longer until we rendezvous with Lu Yifangand the others?" Jean asked Storm in the fighter jet.

"It should be soon. According to the coordinates, they've stopped, so they should be waiting for us to meet up," Storm said, staring at the radar.

"Finally, some good news. I must say, today has been terrible. It's rare for me to go on a mission, and yet I've encountered so many things." Jean let out a long sigh and turned to look at the corner of the cabin.

Crouching there was a man with blue skin and a tail, with strange patterns etched on his skin. Although his appearance would make anyone think he was a devil at first glance, he acted like a devout religious person, earnestly performing confession and prayer.

This Mutant before them was Nightcrawler, possessing the ability to teleport, and the assassin of the President. Originally, Storm and Jean thought he was either a madman or a darkened chuunibyou who constantly thought about retaliating against society. However, after truly interacting with him, they realized how incredibly wrong they were. This guy, despite constantly being ostracized by ordinary people, still had a heart that wanted to forgive the world. If you disregarded his appearance, this guy could be a saint if he were thrown into the Vatican.

According to Nightcrawler's recollection, the reason he assassinated the President was likely because he was being controlled. Jean and Storm had originally wanted to delve deeper into this clue, but then news came that their Base had almost been overrun.

Fortunately, Lu Yifang resolved the matter in time; otherwise, if a group of special forces had stormed the school, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Just as the two were celebrating the academy's safety, the radar suddenly blared an alarm. Two fighter jets swiftly flew over, surrounding their aircraft.

"Damn it, how were we discovered?" Jean's expression changed.

"The plane's energy consumption was too high, and to prepare for what might happen next, I had turned off the stealth device. I didn't expect to be discovered so quickly," Storm said with a solemn expression.

"Unidentified aircraft, you are ordered to immediately descend to 20,000 feet. We will escort you to the @#$ Air Base. You have ten seconds to comply with the order," a warning came through the communicator.

"Oh, this isn't good. If they attack, do we have any weapons on the plane for retaliation?" Jean looked at Storm.

"Of course." As Storm spoke, her eyes turned White. At this moment, the sky outside suddenly darkened, and large Storm clouds gathered. The speed of the airflow began to rapidly increase, and tornadoes formed at a visible rate, looking like black tentacles reaching down from the sky.

Under such conditions, the flight of the fighter jets was naturally greatly disturbed. Seeing that this tornado Storm was about to completely separate them from the unidentified aircraft, one of the pilots decisively pressed the missile launch button.

"Beep beep!" The radar emitted a violent alarm.

"Damn it." Seeing the missile about to hit the plane, at this critical moment, Jean's pupils instantly turned fiery red, and a dangerous power surged from within her.

At this moment, one of the two missiles locked onto the plane suddenly began to twist, as if grabbed by an invisible hand, and directly self-destructed amidst the continuous distortion.

But just as Jean was about to attack the second missile, her body suddenly trembled. At this moment, she had a feeling that something terrifying was about to burst out of her body. The mental seal that Professor had just reinforced now had cracks again, and the Phoenix within Jean began to struggle once more.

"Jean!" Storm shouted, but it was too late. The other missile exploded near the plane, and the force of the explosion tore open the plane's outer shell. As the world spun, the plane rapidly plummeted towards the ground. Just as the thought of their grim fate flashed through Storm's mind,

The large hole blown open in the plane inexplicably healed at a visible rate, and although the altimeter showed the plane was still descending, the rate of descent was slowing.

And when the plane was about to touch the ground, it finally came to a complete stop. When Storm looked through the front window of the plane, she saw an old man in a red robe and cape.

"Lu Yifang, is there no one among the X-Men who has seriously learned how to fly a plane?" Magneto turned around and said to Lu Yifang with a smile. It was a very pleasant thing for Magneto to routinely mock his best friend's students.

"Cool!" John's eyes lit up as he watched Magnetoeffortlessly catch a falling plane. Compared to Professor X's invisible psychic power, the power Magnetodisplayed with every gesture seemed to better fit his image of a powerful Mutant.

"Oh my God, I finally see You all." Storm got off the plane and strode towards the group.

Seeing Storm's somewhat agitated expression, Wolverine took a step forward and waved his hand. "No need to be so..."

But at this moment, Storm had already opened her arms and walked straight through Wolverine, embracing Lu Yifang. After a long moment, she looked at Katie and the others, her face filled with relief. "It's so good to see that you all are fine."

Wolverine's mouth twitched at this sight, and he silently withdrew his hand. Fortunately, Jean walked over at this moment.

"Are You okay?" Jean's tone was calm, but it eased much of Wolverine's embarrassment.

"I'm fine," Wolverine said, smiling at Jean.

"Lu Yifang, can you tell us what happened?" On the other side, Storm asked Lu Yifang seriously.

"Of course." Lu Yifang nodded. "Everyone who should be here is here now. It's a good time to consolidate information from all three parties."

At night, a group of people gathered around a Fire. They should have discussed it on the road, but the stealth fighter had a large hole from a missile graze. Although Magneto, who was already awesome, patched it up, it would still be difficult to take off without a proper repair.

"For Colonel Stryker, attacking the academy and capturing Mutant children was just an incidental act. His real target was Cerebro."

"But Cerebro can only be used by Professor X," Jean said at this point. She had used that machine and could therefore better appreciate the difficulty of using it. It felt like her soul was being stretched and torn, and even when she was exhausted, the machine had only performed a small fraction of its functions.

"I know that too," Magneto said with a smile. "So that's the only reason my old friend is still alive after being knocked out by anesthetic gas when he came to visit me."

"Oh, that's not good news," Storm's expression changed instantly upon hearing this.

"It seems you've already figured it out," Magnetonodded to Storm. "Charles is currently the strongest psychic ability user, just one step away from being a Level Five psychic Mutant, and Cerebro can bridge that gap. Charles, with Cerebro, can kill almost all Mutants."

Magneto suddenly glanced at Lu Yifang as he spoke, and his voice paused. "Almost able to kill most Mutants."

"You shouldn't have to worry about that. Stryker didn't even get off the plane before he fled in disarray, let alone steal Cerebro," Lu Yifang said at this point.

"Oh, is that so? In my impression, Colonel Stryker isn't so easily compromised. Are You sure his people didn't enter the Cerebro room?" Magneto pressed.

"What does that mean?" Lu Yifang frowned upon hearing this. Although at that time he was mostly thinking about how to kill Stryker, even so, if Stryker's people were to pack up and take the entire Cerebro, Lu Yifang wouldn't have failed to notice.

"Lu Yifang, although You are excellent, You are still too young after all," Magneto shook his head slightly.

"Mystique previously infiltrated Stryker's office, where she obtained information that Stryker had already replicated Cerebro, though with some minor flaws that made it less effective. While using original parts would make it easier to fix these minor flaws, if someone infiltrated and transmitted instrument scan data, Colonel Stryker could still fix it based on that data. He's a genius; You can tell from his creation of Wolverine." Magneto specifically looked at Wolverine.

"That's impossible, isn't it? Even if he's a genius, he couldn't replicate Cerebro that he's never even seen before," Storm said, somewhat disbelievingly.

"It's possible," Magneto said, looking a bit embarrassed. "Because I helped Charles develop Cerebro, Stryker got all the knowledge about Cerebro from me."

Hearing this, everyone immediately turned their gaze to Magneto. So it was You who screwed us over.

"Stryker has a method to control Mutants, cough cough." Feeling everyone's stares, Magneto coughed and finally decided to quickly change the subject.

"The top priority now is to find Stryker's Base. Although Mystique knows about Stryker building Cerebro in his Base, she doesn't know where this so-called Base is, and someone here has a way of knowing."

"Professor has already tried; I simply can't remember where the Base that modified my body is," Wolverinesaid at this point.

"Why do You always think You're the protagonist?" Magneto looked at Wolverine playfully.

At this moment, Lu Yifang had already pulled out his phone and stood up. Wanting to know where Stryker's Base was, this question was simple; just ask Nick Fury.

Given that guy's never-lose personality, he might just be waiting for Lu Yifang to call him right now. Kicking an enemy when they're down is something Nick Fury loves most.
