CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC148: Last Letter.
Chapter 148: Last Letter.
[Later That Day – Velyrian's Office]
'Oh, god.'
As Akamir walked towards the door of his office, he couldn't help but feel pained.
The one office that he used to visit was nothing like before.
Akamir pushed open the scorched wooden door, stepping into what remained of Velyrian's office.
The scent of burnt parchment and melted metal still lingered in the air.
The once disorderly room was now a shell of itself, with shelves charred to ash, papers reduced to dust.
The only thing untouched was the glowing staff that stood upright in the center of the room.
Its light was dim but steady, casting a soft red hue across the rubble.
Embedded in its center now was a faintly pulsing shard—part of a Ven Core.
'What the hell happened here!?'
Akamir couldn't help but wonder as he looked around the place.
He was gone for just one day and things took such a drastic turn.
Nayomi floated beside him, eyes all around the place.
"There is something wrong with the place," she whispered. "It's like space is working differently here."
Akamir didn't reply as his gaze fell on a girl.
Milo sat quietly on the far side, her back against what remained of a broken cabinet.
Her knees were pulled up, her arms wrapped tightly around herself.
Her eyes were swollen and red, evidence of the tears that had already dried on her cheeks.
She held a folded letter in her hands, worn at the edges, as if she had read it more than once already.
She didn't say a word as Akamir approached.
Without looking at him, she held the letter out.
Akamir took it gently and unfolded it.
The paper was stained in some spots, the ink slightly smudged, but the handwriting was unmistakably Velyrian.
Akamir looked at Milo, who refused to say anything, before he looked back at the letter.
---
"Akamir,
If you're reading this, then I've already done what I knew would happen."
Akamir remained silent as he slowly sat down on the floor.
"I'm sorry for what I did, and I know this is sudden. Maybe it seems cowardly... no, it is cowardly.
.....But I couldn't wait any longer. I had to try... to free myself from its influence."
---
Akamir sighed as he rubbed his temples. 'So, it was Ven Core.'
Akamir always had a bad feeling about that thing.
From the start, he didn't like how it could think on its own.
He tried to stop Velyrian but... it was already too late.
---
"The Ven Core isn't something that should exist in this world.
But it's also the only thing that can save my master.
There are things I've hidden... people I've let down... and many sins I carry.
But even now, I still have something selfish to ask of you."
---
He folded the paper back as he closed his eyes.
He was half sure what he was about to read... he wouldn't like it one bit.
'Why am I dragged into all this?'
He sighed before unfolding the letter.
---
"Please help my daughter...
...Please help my master.
My daughter is not just someone important to me—she is the Empress of the Elven Dominion.
She may not trust you, or anyone, but she will need help, and she deserves more than a broken kingdom left behind.
The staff must hold the Ven Core now.
If I am right, then it must be stable as well.
Deliver it to my master. He will know what to do with it.
And... he will want to hear what happened.
I don't expect forgiveness. But I hope... maybe in another life, I'll earn some.
—Velyrian."
---
Akamir read the letter twice before folding it carefully and slipping it into his coat.
Then, without a word, he stared down at the ground.
It was shocking enough to know who his daughter was, but Akamir didn't care about that for now.
His shoulder still ached faintly from the fight. His eyes moved to the staff.
It stood there silently, glowing with the soft, pulsing light of the fragment inside it.
Stable, just as Velyrian said.
Power still hummed beneath its core, but no longer chaotic.
Milo hadn't moved.
Her hands rested limply in her lap now.
She stared at nothing in particular, her expression empty.
"He didn't even say goodbye to me," she murmured after a long silence. "Not even a line."
Akamir didn't respond.
There wasn't anything he could say that would make it better.
"I hated the way he worked too much," she added, her voice cracking. "Always locking himself in here. Always pushing us away. But I still thought he'd make it out."
Her eyes shifted slowly toward the staff.
"I guess this was the only way he knew how to protect people," she said. "Throwing himself into the fire."
Akamir still didn't say a word.
Milo finally looked at him. "What did he ask you?"
"To look after his daughter," Akamir said softly. "And to deliver the staff to his master."
Milo chuckled, her voice bitter. "So, he trusted you more than me."
Akamir didn't say anything. She was right, though.
As Velyrian's assistant, it was her job to fulfil his last wish.
But...
'I am doing the heavy work.'
"He asked me to live my life," Milo whispered after a while. "He just wanted me..."
Tears began to trickle down her face once again.
Milo began crying once again as Akamir stood up.
He moved and stood in front of the staff.
Akamir reached out and gently placed a hand on the side of the staff.
It was warm to the touch, steady.
Velyrian had managed to do what others failed to—stabilize what even his master couldn't.
...But the cost was clear.
Milo wiped her eyes and gave a soft, bitter laugh. "Doesn't change much now."
She sat in silence for a long while and Akamir stared at the staff.
Eventually, he pulled the staff from where it had been anchored, feeling its weight shift in his hand.
It responded to touch, its glow faintly pulsing brighter for a second.
He looked down at it, then at the ruin around him.
"I'll deliver it to his master," he said, voice firm. "And I'll meet his daughter."
Milo didn't answer.
But she stood up too and quietly walked toward the broken doorway.
Akamir followed her out, the staff in his hand and the letter close to his chest.
But...
He didn't notice one thing.
The Ven Core was responding to his touch, like it was waiting for it.
...For him to arrive.

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC149: Talk with Zia.
Chapter 149: Talk with Zia.
[Late Night—Vyavan Estate.]
[Capital City.]
"I am home."
Akamir walked inside his house, his tired voice echoed within the place.
"Welcome home."
A voice echoed from the inside as a maid quickly rushed towards him.
Akamir smiled as he saw Zia, who quickly helped him.
"How was your day?" Zia asked, smiling brightly. "Royal Consort."
Akamir cringed at the title. "Just call me young master."
"Ay, ay, Consort." she said with a grin, walking ahead toward the kitchen.
He groaned but didn't argue.
Collapsing onto the couch, Akamir leaned his head back and let out a long breath.
The last two days haven't been really good for him.
'Argh, my back fucking hurts.'
He thought, rubbing his sore back.
'Having a fucking mermaid as a partner isn't a good idea.'
Akamir sighed, staring at Nayomi, who looked where Zia was.
"What now?" Akamir asked, looking at her.
"Aren't you going to ask about the necklace?" she said, looking back at him.
"Ah, right."
Back when he met with Duke Darvin, he was told that Zia had the necklace.
The one which he wore since he was a child.
'I should ask her about it.'
Akamir waited for a while for her to return.
Zia returned a few minutes later with a warm bowl of stew and a cup of tea.
She set them down in front of him before taking a seat on the nearby armrest.
"Eat," she said. "You look like you haven't had a bite since sunrise."
"I haven't," he muttered, lifting the spoon.
Zia watched him quietly for a moment.
Then she asked, more gently, "There was a message from the Main House."
Akamir didn't answer right away.
He took another spoonful, then set the bowl down and leaned back again.
"What did they say?" he asked, looking at her.
"Steward Veres is asking for your presence," she replied, her voice low. "There are a lot of things to do after Duke Darvin is gone."
Akamir let out a sigh as he rubbed his temples.
'I should have seen this coming.'
Being the next Duke of the Vyavan family, he was definitely needed there.
A dukedom can't be run without a duke and he was well aware of it.
But...
'I don't want to spend my time in a fucking office.'
That's the only reason he supported Inara instead of taking the throne himself.
Akamir was well aware how hard it was to rule a place and he would be damned to do it again.
"You don't want to?" Zia said, noticing the annoyance in his face.
"...Yeah." he replied, shaking his head.
Zia thought for a moment before she suggested:
"Why don't you make a proxy duke then?" she said, "someone you can trust with the job."
Akamir narrowed his eyes at her. "Should I make you?"
"Nope." she replied instantly. "I would rather be your maid."
Akamir sighed as he nodded his head thoughtfully.
'A proxy, huh?'
Akamir thought as he remembered someone.
'Mira.... She would be perfect.'
Akamir already made up his mind to give this role to the Judge of Apathy.
...Even though she was already drowning in paperwork.
"I will suggest someone good," he said, taking the bowl again. "Tell Steward Veres to not worry."
Zia gave a short nod and stood up. "I'll send word first thing in the morning."
Akamir muttered a quiet thanks before taking another bite of stew.
The warmth of the food spread through him slowly, easing some of the tightness in his shoulders.
Zia hovered nearby for a moment, then sat back down again.
She looked like she was debating something.
"What is it?" Akamir asked, catching her expression.
Zia hesitated, then reached into the pocket of her apron.
"I was going to wait," she said, "but... you should probably have this back now."
She handed him something small, wrapped in a soft cloth.
Akamir unwrapped it slowly.
Inside was a simple silver chain, and hanging from it—the necklace. His necklace.
The one he talked about with Duke Darvin.
He stared at it in silence, without speaking anything.
"Where did you get this?" he asked finally.
Zia leaned back slightly. "You gave it to me when we were kids. You said you didn't want to lose it while playing outside."
Akamir blinked. "That long ago?"
She nodded. "I've kept it safe ever since."
Akamir didn't say anything as he slowly reached out for it.
Nayomi floated closer, looking at the necklace. "That's an Artifact."
"Hmm?" Akamir blinked twice, taking the necklace.
Just as she said, the moment he touched it, a new message appeared in his status screen.
Akamir opened it without a second thought.
=====
Name: Phoenix's Womb.
• Can store one of the picture within it.
• Can summon a phoenix for protection. (1/3)
• Can heal the wearer from near-death wounds. (1/3)
=====
Akamir blinked, surprised at the uses of the thing.
Akamir leaned back on the couch, still staring at the glowing message hovering before him.
"Phoenix's Womb," he muttered under his breath. "What kind of name is that?"
"Whoever made it wasn't subtle," Nayomi said, circling lazily above him. "But it's a good defense Artifact."
He glanced at Zia, who stood there without a word.
'How did she not notice the Artifact?'
He wondered, before he wore the necklace once again.
"It's already used once, isn't it?" Nayomi said. "Artifacts like this... they stay asleep until the right moment."
Akamir nodded as he looked at Zia once again.
"There is one more thing that I wanted you to know," he said, "I will be going away for a while."
Zia blinked. "Where?"
"To the Elven Kingdom," Akamir said, standing up. "I need to help someone..."
Zia stared at him, confused. "Help someone? Who?"
Akamir didn't answer right away.
He let out a sigh before replying. "It's important, I can't say."
Zia looked at him then sighed. "And when are you going to return?"
"I have no idea," Akamir replied, shaking his head. "I will be coming back and forth though."
Zia blinked, not understanding his words.
Though, Akamir could really do it.
With the help of the Crown, he can travel to the Elven Kingdom and come back here in one day.
'I would need to talk with Inara as well.'
Akamir sighed as he turned around. "I will be in my room now."
"Have a good night, young master."
Akamir waved at her as he moved back to his room.
When he arrived, he quickly jumped on his bed.
"Urgh."
A groan escaped his lips as he felt a stinging pain on his collarbone.
"Akamir," Nayomi said, floating beside him. "Are you not going to check what picture is inside it?"
Akamir blinked and touched his necklace. "Oh, right."
He willed for it to show the picture.
The necklace flickered.
Then...
A 3D image appeared around him.
"....What?"
Akamir mumbled, looking around.
Because...
It was the map of the world he was in.

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC150: Protagonist of The Game.
Chapter 150: Protagonist of The Game.
[Pandora Academy]
Within one of the rooms of the library, three boys sat on the sofa.
A holographic 3D image was hovering over them as they looked at the image.
"So..." Akamir said, looking at them. "What do you guys think?"
Viros blinked innocently as he looked back. "I have no idea which is which."
"I was expecting this kind of answer." Akamir nodded, not sparing him another look. "What do you think, Luca?"
The shorter boy of the group with ginger hair looked at the map in astonishment.
"It's really fascinating." He mumbled softly, his voice awe-filled. "It even has places that I am not even aware of."
Akamir nodded slowly. "Can you map the places?"
Luca looked troubled.
The map inside his necklace was anything but ordinary.
It had all the places around the world drawn.
Yet....
There was only one problem.
'Why are the places not fucking marked.'
The world in which Akamir was now, is an enormous place.
It was so large that Nayomi said that almost six Earths can fit inside it.
'Though, I have no idea how big Earth was.' He thought, glancing at the floating woman. 'And neither does this idiot know the size of her own world.'
"Are you badmouthing me in your mind?" Nayomi asked, glancing at him.
Akamir looked away. "No."
Nayomi narrowed her eyes at him but didn't push it further.
Instead, she floated above the table, spinning slowly as if trying to read the upside-down projection of the map.
Luca leaned in, trying to make sense of the massive terrain displayed in front of them.
"If I had a few reference points... maybe I could figure it out. But this map—there's no labels, no borders, no cardinal directions. Just land."
"Maybe it's an ancient map," Viros offered, tapping his chin. "Like... from before the current nations were drawn up."
"That would make sense," Luca agreed, tracing his finger over a mountain range that twisted like a serpent across the continent.
"But even then, we should be able to recognize at least one landmark."
Akamir walked forward as he pointed at one of the lands.
It was a large island. 'Nayomi said it's as big as Australia.'
And Akamir still has no idea how big that is.
"That's the land of extinct dragons." Akamir said, pointing at the map. "Dracarys."
Luca walked towards the marking as he looked at it deeply.
"Hmm..." he mumbled, rubbing his chin. "If this is Dracarys, then....."
He took three steps as he reached a different portion of the map.
"This is where we are now." He said, pointing at an empty land. "This is Krivos Kingdom."
Akamir closed his eyes and marked the place with the help of Phoenix's Womb.
Opening his eyes, he looked at Luca, who was moving around the map.
"If this section is Krivos," Luca said, stopping near the eastern ridge of a vast green belt, "then this range should be the Ironveil Mountains... and that bend over there must be the River Vaelin."
He started placing faint mana markers across the map, each one dim but distinct.
Viros leaned forward again, squinting. "How are you even figuring this out?"
Luca shrugged. "I read a lot."
Akamir smirked slightly. "Good. I can always count on you."
Luca squeezed his eyes before nodding.
"Give me a few hours and I can help more." He said. "I need to check some references."
Akamir gave him a nod as he closed the map.
It vanished as the glow of his necklace faded.
Akamir sighed as he looked at the map on the table.
"...The way for him to reach the Elven Kingdom."
Akamir sighed as he looked at the letter Velyrian gave him.
Behind the letter was the address of his master.
'I also need to give them both their letters.'
Akamir thought, tapping his fingers on the Elven Kingdom.
"Wait." He said, glancing back at both of them. "Are you guys free?"
They both looked at him in confusion.
"Kinda." Viros replied. "Why do you ask?"
"Do you want to go to Elven Kingdom?" Akamir asked, turning fully towards them. "I will be visiting them."
Viros looked like he wanted to nod his head. "...I would love to but... money."
"I will pay for the trip." Akamir said, looking at them. "For both of you."
Luca stood in front of him. "When are we going?"
"Tomorrow morning." Akamir said. "First thing in the morning."
They both dashed out of the room in an instant.
"We need to pack our stuff." Viros said.
"We are in, my Royal Consort!!"
Akamir chuckled, shaking his head.
Nayomi gave them a weird look. "They accepted the offer just like that?"
Akamir shrugged. "What do you expect."
Nayomi opened her mouth but didn't say anything else.
Akamir rolled the map as he began to walk out of the room.
"By the way." Akamir said, glancing at Nayomi. "How do you know about the Dracarys?"
Nayomi glanced at him, her eyes shining.
"Because I have seen that place a thousand times." She replied, smiling. "That's where the game starts."
"Oh." Akamir raised his brow. "The one you played in your world?"
"Yes." She nodded in response. "I know that place like the back of my hand."
Akamir grew curious as he looked at her.
He had asked a lot about the novel in which Zaina was the heroine but he rarely asked about the game.
"Wait, how was the game anyway?" He asked, his voice curious. "Did they have a character or were the players the character?"
"It did have the character." She replied. "His name was Ren."
Akamir raised his brow. "Ren?"
"Yeah, he was the youngest son of a family with dragon bloodline."
She replied, floating just beside him.
"He had the power of dragons."
"Hmm." Akamir mumbled, nodding. "He must be strong."
"Not even a little." She shook her head. "As we speak, his entire family is dying from a disease called Dragon Riot."
"Dragon Riot," she repeated, twirling in the air.
"It's a degenerative disease that only affects those with dragon bloodlines. Their mana becomes unstable and begins to destroy their body from the inside out."
"That's... oddly specific," Akamir muttered.
Nayomi shrugged. "It was one of the main plotlines in the early game."
"How did this thing even come from?" Akamir asked, looking at her.
"Because of the evil monks."
"..The what?"
"It's too much to explain." She replied lazily. "I will tell you when it's needed."
Akamir let out a sigh as he looked forward.
Only to stop in his tracks.
A girl walked towards him with a smile on her face.
Akamir smiled back. "Zaina."

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC151: Zaina.
Chapter 151: Zaina.
A girl walked towards him with a smile on her face.
Akamir smiled back. "Zaina."
The girl stood in front of him as Akamir observed her quietly.
Since the last time he saw her, she had changed a bit.
There was a little more maturity in her amber eyes while her lavender hair fell behind her.
'Did something happen with her?'
Akamir wondered, finding something amiss in her.
"Are you free?" Zaina asked, tilting her head.
"Yeah, I am right now." Akamir replied, nodding his head.
"Sweet." She said, walking to his side. "Can I have some time?"
"...Sure."
Akamir said, and the girl nodded.
Without his permission, she grabbed his hand and intertwined her fingers with his.
Though a little confused by her sudden boldness, Akamir didn't stop her.
"I...I have a good place for us." She said, already dragging him. "Let's go."
'Hmm, is she embarrassed?'
Akamir wondered as he glanced at her ears.
They both were uncannily red, making her emotions clear.
"It seems like you becoming the royal Consort has had an effect on her as well."
Nayomi mused, looking at the girl curiously.
"Vani believes the same girl ended humanity in the game."
Akamir ignored her words as he focused on the girl.
Zaina held his hand tightly as she led him through the quiet corridors of the academy.
Akamir followed her without resistance, letting her set the pace.
She didn't speak much.
Just a gentle tug here and there, occasionally glancing back to check if he was still beside her.
Eventually, they reached a quiet spot behind the greenhouse.
The area was surrounded by tall hedges and flowering trees, almost like a hidden garden.
A single stone bench rested under a blooming arch of violet petals.
"I found this place a few days ago," Zaina said softly, letting go of his hand and stepping forward. "No one really comes here."
"It's peaceful," Akamir said, glancing around. "Smells like mint."
She smiled. "There's a patch just behind the flowers."
She walked over to the bench and sat down, patting the space beside her.
Akamir followed and took the seat, resting his arms on his knees.
There was a long pause between them.
"...Did something happen?" Akamir asked finally, turning to look at her.
Zaina didn't speak for a while as she lowered her gaze.
"I talked with aunty Vernier." She whispered, her voice soft. "...She is really worried about Arthur."
"...."
Akamir didn't say anything as he looked at her.
'Vernier should be his mother.'
He did remember that she had taken care of Zaina like her own child.
Vernier was her mother figure when her own mother died.
"I tried finding him." Akamir replied, his voice soft. "He is nowhere to be seen."
Zaina just gave him a short nod as she stared at her hand.
Akamir let out a sigh as he wrapped his hand over her shoulder.
He gently rubbed her arms while Zaina placed her head on his chest.
"Everything will be fine." Akamir said, "don't worry."
Zaina closed her eyes as she leaned against him, her fingers curling lightly into his shirt.
"...I hope so," she murmured.
Akamir let her be for a while before he asked. "Did you talk with the church?"
"Not yet." She muttered, her breathing shallow. "I think I will wait for a while."
"..I see." Akamir mumbled softly. "Just tell me when you are ready."
.....She just nodded in response.
The silence followed between them for a while.
Zaina didn't seem to talk about the whole royal Consort thing at all.
And Akamir was happy that he doesn't have to address it now.
'I still need to make sure everything is alright.'
Even though the kingdom has accepted Inara's words, Akamir was sure none were satisfied.
His public image was already too low for them to consider him a good match for Inara.
'I need the mimickers to do something about it.'
Even though he doesn't really care about the opinion of the sheep, he did want to keep an image.
'It's better if they know I am capable of Inara so no one has ulterior motives.'
Zaina slowly raised her head to look at him. "My father asked me to bring you home."
Akamir blinked in surprise. "Why so?"
"He says he needs to talk with you about something." She replied, shaking her head. "He didn't give me any specific reason."
Akamir gave her a short nod. "I will talk with him."
Zaina looked a little relieved by his answer.
"Thanks," she said quietly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
Akamir leaned back against the bench, stretching his legs out a bit. "I have something to tell you as well."
Zaina blinked at him. "What is it?"
"I will be out of the kingdom for a while." Akamir replied, looking at her. "I will be traveling around."
"..."
Zaina's face immediately showed a disappointed look. "...I see."
"Don't worry." Akamir said, patting her head. "I will come see you from time to time."
Zaina lowered her gaze, trying to hide the faint frown on her lips.
"You better," she muttered. "You always say that and then disappear for days."
Akamir gave a small chuckle. "Not this time."
Zaina didn't look convinced, but she didn't argue either.
Instead, she fiddled with the hem of her sleeve.
"Where are you going?" she asked quietly.
"Elven Kingdom first," he answered. "There are a few people I need to meet... and some things I have to understand."
Zaina nodded slowly. "Is it dangerous?"
Akamir paused for a moment, then shook his head. "I don't think so, but I'll be careful either way."
She slowly nodded as if thinking about something else.
Akamir tilted his head. "Do you want to come with us?"
She blinked. "Can I?"
"Yeah." He nodded his head. "But...things would be difficult."
Like Akamir had noticed since day one, this world isn't very advanced—at least a part of it.
If she does come with them, she would have to face a little too much difficulty.
"I think I would pass for now." She said, her voice soft. "Maybe next time."
Akamir gave her a small nod, understanding her hesitation.
"Alright," he said. "Next time then."
Zaina smiled faintly. "You better not forget."
"I won't." He leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees. "I have a good memory for promises."
She slowly stood up from her seat as she walked in front of him.
With a smile, she said. "Close your eyes."
Akamir blinked in confusion. "Why?"
"Just do it." She replied, "please?"
Akamir let out a sigh as he did as she told him.
Just when he closed his eyes, Zaina leaned forward.
'Hmm?'
Akamir felt something begin to cover his face...like a mask.
'Is it—?'
He couldn't even think properly as a soft sensation touched his lips.
For a second, Akamir froze in his place as he returned the kiss.
Zaina's lips were gentle... they were warm, unsure, but determined.
His mind blanked as the sensation settled, not rushed, just... soft.
By the time he opened his eyes, Zaina had already stepped back, her face red from ear to ear.
She looked down, brushing invisible dust off her dress, clearly avoiding his gaze.
"I just... wanted to do that once," she muttered under her breath.
Akamir stared at her quietly, unsure of what to say.
It wasn't like it was unpleasant.
Just... surprising.
"Zaina," he said softly.
She peeked up at him, still flustered. "Don't make a big deal out of it."
"...Alright." Akamir smiled faintly.
Zaina quickly turned on her heels. "Alright, I will see you later then."
Before he could reply, she dashed away.
Nayomi, who was watching everything, floated close by.
"How does it feel?" She asked. "Taking the first kiss of both a princess and an apostle."
Akamir wasn't sure how to reply to that.
'Ahh, fuck.'

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC152: Situation.
Chapter 152: Situation.
[Late night.]
[Queen Inara's bedroom.]
The soft light over the table flickered as Inara leaned forward doing her paperwork.
She was wearing her nightgown, her long silver hair loosely tied back, strands falling over her shoulder.
Despite how much people praised her beauty, the real thing couldn't be captured in words.
Even among races known for their charm and grace, she stood apart—not because of perfection, but because of presence.
Still...
The faint wrinkles on her face betrayed her exhaustion.
They weren't ugly, not truly, but they made her seem older than she was.
It's only been a day since she became the queen but there was so much work for her to do.
The former king had ruled with a passive hand—never doing too much, never doing too little.
Now all that neglect had caught up and it was her job to clean it up.
"Hey, tell me." Inara said, leaning back on her chair. "How much money should I provide with for the military?"
She turned her head to look at the young man, laying on his bed.
Akamir turned to look at her as well.
"That depends," he replied, his voice wise. "Do you want them to protect the borders, or start a war?"
"I don't have the luxury to start a war," Inara muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Just defense. For now."
"Then cut the budget by twenty percent," Akamir said calmly, turning to his side.
"Most of the funds were being funneled into outdated equipment anyway."
Inara nodded slowly, scribbling a note onto the paper in front of her.
Looking at her tired face, Akamir couldn't help but ask.
"Are things that bad?" he said. "Or is there something else."
"The kingdom's condition was always bad." She replied, not raising her head. "But things are only getting worse."
"How so?" he asked, looking at her.
"Both Aure and Lythanis Kingdoms have sent marriage proposals." Inara groaned, rubbing her temples.
"I can understand Aure, but this fucking Lythanis, they are asking me to marry my cousin."
Akamir let out a chuckle. "And your answer?"
"I am already taken advantage of by you." She replied, shrugging. "I can't show my poor face to others, an impure lady who lost her virginity before marriage."
Akamir blinked. "...That's not exactly how I remember it."
Inara finally looked up, a sly smile playing at her lips. "Oh? Then enlighten me."
He raised an eyebrow. "You were the one who called me in your room."
"And you were the one who didn't object."
Akamir grinned. "You seduced someone younger than you."
"I was the one who got seduced here." She replied, closing her paperwork. "And remind me again who killed his brother so he can have me?"
Akamir chuckled softly. "Careful, I still outrank you."
"Doesn't count in the bedroom," she muttered.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, my baby."
Inara smiled as she got up from her chair and walked towards him.
She fell down over him as soon as she got close.
Akamir caught her in his arms in which she settled comfortably.
"Still..." Inara whispered, her voice soft. "The council will throw a fit if I reject both kingdoms outright. They'll call it arrogance."
"Fuck them." Akamir replied, rubbing her hair. "I can always change them if you need."
"That's a really scary thing to say, you know." She replied, glancing up at him. "You really are scary."
Akamir tilted his head, looking down at her. "You say that, but you still crawl into my arms like a cat."
Inara closed her eyes, her lips curving slightly. "That's because you're warm."
His fingers continued to gently comb through her silver hair.
"When are you going?" She asked, glancing up at him. "To the elven kingdom?"
"Day after tomorrow." Akamir replied, looking into her eyes. "There are a few things I need to do."
She gave him a nod and didn't say anything else.
It remained like that for a while before she whispered.
"The Aure kingdom." She whispered softly. "They might wage war on us."
Akamir paused his hand. "Why do you say so?"
"Remember how we humiliated them?" She asked, without looking up. "They could use that as a pretext."
Akamir gave her a thoughtful nod.
'If they really wanted a war, they could use this chance.'
Right now, their kingdom is in its weakest stage.
With a civil war ending between the siblings and a new queen in the mix.
'They might really do it.'
Akamir once again began to comb her hair.
"What if I take over them?" He asked, his voice soft. "Replace their royal family with a mimicker."
Inara slowly opened her eyes, blinking at his words. "You make it sound like it's as easy as swapping out furniture."
Akamir shrugged slightly. "For me, it is."
She gave him a long look, her fingers absently tracing circles over his chest. "Do you ever stop and think about how insane you sound sometimes?"
"Not really," he replied with a faint smile. "I've learned that worrying about normal doesn't get anything done."
Inara closed her eyes again. "You shouldn't use your power recklessly." She said. "I can tell there will be consequences for your actions."
Akamir gave her a short nod without arguing.
'It really is true though.'
It's all because humans are the weakest race in this world that he is still safe.
Once he goes out and begins to meet new people, Akamir was sure a few will be able to differentiate between mimickers and others.
'That would definitely be a problem for me.'
Still, right now, he was safe and he really wants to keep his powers in control.
"You know, maybe I should look into other kingdoms as well." She replied, looking at him. "Make good relationships with non-human kingdoms."
"The elves and the beastmen, huh?" Akamir mumbled, nodding his head. "That could work."
"Yeah." She nodded in response as well. "I was thinking about it for a while now."
Akamir didn't say a word for a while as he looked at her. "You know I can help?"
She blinked in response. "How so?"
"I am already visiting the elves soon." He explained, his voice thoughtful. "Maybe I can arrange something for you."
Though he sounds doubtful, he was sure he can pull this off.
'I mean, I already have the way to do it.'
The spirit herbs.
Akamir was sure that the elves will accept the request for a good political relationship with Krivos Kingdom if he requested it.
"Well, then." Inara said, hugging his body once again. "I will leave it to you, husband."
Akamir cringed at her words but he didn't show it on his face.
Women are really observant about things like this.
"By the way." She said, as if she only remembered it now. "Zaina tried to contact me."
Akamir blinked in confusion. "Why?"
"Pretty sure it's to talk about you." She replied, smiling softly. "As a queen, I might take you all for myself."
Akamir let out a sigh as he asked. "Do you know—."
"She is an Apostle, I know." Inara said, slowly sitting on the bed. "Father told me before."
Akamir stared dead into her eyes. "And?"
Inara's smile grew wider as she leaned forward.
"Even if she is an Apostle."
She whispered, as she reached out for his trousers.
"Doesn't mean, I will give up on you."

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC153: Assigning Tasks.
Chapter 153: Assigning Tasks.
[Eldergorve Town.]
[The Old Palace.]
Akamir leaned back on his throne as he looked at the six mimickers kneeling in front of him.
Except Elore who was in a faraway island, all the Sins were present with him right now.
Even though they didn't show themselves in the battle against Lucien.
All of them were working behind the scenes.
Especially Elene who was the main person, blocking all the news coming from in and out.
Thinking about her, Akamir looked at the faceless girl.
"Elene." He called.
"Yes, my lord?"
"How are things going with your work?" He asked. "Is the network system doing good?"
Elene raised her head slightly, the folds of her hood shifting as if trying to mimic the idea of a face.
"The network is stable," she said. "Right now, all the news within the kingdom goes through us first."
Akamir gave her a short nod, satisfied with her outcome. "And what about the nobles?"
"We have a list of them as you asked." She replied and Mira stood up. "I have gathered them all."
Mira gave him the list that Elene had prepared to him.
Akamir used his telekinesis to place the papers high in front of him.
...The list of all those who supported Lucien and the most corrupted nobles in the kingdom.
Most names overlapped as Lucien wasn't a good guy to begin with.
'He must have promised them money in return of their support.'
The kingdom of Krivos is enormous in size.
There are a lot of nobles that lived in the corner of the borders or in remote places.
Most of them were level but incredibly wealthy.
Simply because they did tax evasion for generations.
In short, they were leeches that neither him nor Inara wants to be in the kingdom.
Akamir's eyes scanned the list, flipping through page after page with a flick of his fingers.
"How many of these are in contact with other kingdoms?" he asked calmly, eyes still locked on the list.
"Nearly sixty percent," Elene answered, her tone cold and matter-of-fact. "Most of them are barons or wealthy landlords who are selling information."
"...I see." Akamir mumbled as he placed the document down on the side. "They will be a problem."
Akamir sighed and leaned further back into his throne, resting his chin on his knuckles.
Even though he wasn't needed to look into the affairs of the kingdom.
Akamir couldn't help it.
His habit that he got from ruling his empire in his previous life made him itch to make a better kingdom.
It was like a second nature to him by now.
'I should really leave all this to Inara.'
Akamir let out a sigh as he planned to give the list to her.
She can deal with them all like she desires.
"Anyway." Akamir said, looking back at them. "As I said before, I will be going out for a little while."
Mira and Elene both looked disappointed but didn't raise their voices.
'How is Elene showing so much emotions without any face?'
He really wondered, glancing at the faceless girl.
Akamir ignored her for a while as he looked at the others.
"I have a task for all of you now."
As of now, Akamir has three main forces under him.
The Imoyan company that deals with trading and other things.
It was mainly under Mira who looked over the stuffs.
The Spirit Life Mercenary who have hundreds of Mimickers under them posing as adventurers.
They are under the Twin of Hypocrisy and work for money.
At last was the Daily Star newspapers that are basically his ears and eyes.
It's the side that is controlled by Elene and interestingly the only one which doesn't make much profit.
At least for now.
'Now, it's time to assign them work.'
Akamir thought, rubbing his chin.
Akamir shifted slightly on his throne, his fingers tapping against the armrest in a steady rhythm.
The room remained silent, the six mimickers kneeling before him unmoving.
He finally looked up. "Let's begin."
His gaze landed on Mira first who stood by his side.
"You'll take over the eastern trade routes," he said, looking at her. "Spend as much as you want but form a connection with the other side of the world."
Many know about it, how Aure kingdom has created an established trade route from the sea.
It was the only way in which his continent was connected to the different continents.
And Akamir was really interested in that specific trade route.
No matter what people say, Akamir wanted to see from his own eyes how powerful are their weapons.
'It would be great if we can take over their trade route.'
Mira bowed her head, her voice firm. "Understood. I'll handle it personally."
"And Mira," Akamir added. "No unnecessary deaths. We still need their market for now."
She gave a small smile. "Of course."
Akamir's eyes moved to the twins kneeling side by side, the 'Twin of Hypocrisy.'
Varion and Vear.
Though they shared the same face, their auras were wildly different.
One calm and composed, the other twitching with restrained energy.
"You two will take the mercenaries west," he instructed, his voice firm.
"The Lythanis border towns are dealing with rising monster activity. Use it as cover. Infiltrate and begin establishing presence. I want our influence in those towns within two months."
"We'll take care of it," said the calm twin.
"Just give us freedom to kill a few nobles," the twitchy one muttered under his breath.
Akamir didn't respond. Even if he ordered them not to, he was sure they would get enough chance for it.
'Mercenary is already one of the worst jobs in this world.'
The death rate was already high enough for a normal person to consider twice about it.
Akamir finally looked at Elene, who he had the most work for.
"The Daily Star needs to change direction. I want less gossip and more... narrative control. Focus on building Inara's image—graceful, powerful, and kind. Paint her as the queen the people begged for."
"Yes, my lord," Elene said with a small nod.
"And," Akamir continued, "Start subtle campaigns against the nobles on the list. Don't name them. Just plant seeds of doubt. Let the public grow restless on their own."
Elene tilted her head slightly. "You're going to use public pressure?"
Akamir nodded. "It's more effective than a sword."
He leaned forward now, his voice calm but firm. "And starting now, we will focus more on the non-human race."
They looked at him confusingly. "What do you mean?" Mira asked.
"Humans are the weakest." He replied, shrugging. "I am more interested in other races."
The room fell silent for a moment after Akamir's words.
It was Elene who finally spoke. "You want to expand mimickers into other races."
"Exactly, but not yet." Akamir replied, nodding his head. "I want more information about them before I make up my mind."
His fingers tapped once on the armrest of the throne.
Akamir right now wasn't in need for anything.
If he just rests here, he could live a normal life without any problem.
Just a few more months and he would be the strongest human in history.
But...
'I can't do that.'
There was a growing fear inside his heart.
The stronger he gets, the more clear it became.
For some reason, Akamir felt like there is a greater power that is controlling his move.
Like something far beyond his power is using him for their own gains.
It could be the one who brought him here or it could be something else.
He can never be truly sure about it.
Until...
'I be strong enough to make my own decision.'
That was his goal for now.
To know what actually was happening behind the scenes.
And he was ready to deal with whatever came in between his goal.

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC154: VEpilogue Two.
Chapter 154: Volume Epilogue Two.
[The next morning.]
[Outside of the Capital City.]
On the other side of the city wall, three boys placed their bags on a carriage.
Viros and Luca, who were tagging along with Akamir, had an excited look on their faces.
Viros adjusted the straps of his travel cloak and grinned. "Finally! I was starting to think you'd change your mind."
Akamir, standing beside the carriage with his arms crossed, raised an eyebrow. "Why would I do that?"
"I don't know." He replied, shrugging. "Maybe because you are Royal Consort and a Duke."
Akamir chuckled as he shook his head.
Yesterday, when he talked with Mira, he had also talked about the Duke matter.
Despite the clear dissatisfaction from the extra work, Mira did say no to him.
That did make Akamir a little sad about her, but he still gave her all the rights as the Duke.
She was his proxy now, and with some help from Inara, no one in the dukedom had a problem with it.
'I will make up to her later on.'
He thought, praying for the poor woman and her mental health.
The carriage creaked under the weight of their bags as the horses gave a soft huff, ready to move.
Morning mist still clung to the road, and the sky was a pale blue, tinged with orange near the horizon.
Luca climbed up into the back, plopping down onto a rolled-up blanket.
"Man, I've never traveled alone with a friend. I still can't believe you're dragging us to an elven kingdom of all places."
"No one's dragging you," Akamir said, climbing in after him. "You insisted."
"I thought you were joking," Luca muttered. "By the way, where are we going?"
"To the capital city of Sylvan." Akamir replied, as he looked at the coachman. "Let's go."
It was one of the mimickers that Akamir selected.
With his help, they can travel day and night without any problem.
'Though, we would need to change the horses a few times.'
Akamir didn't have any problem with it, as they have a lot of money.
The coachman gave a short nod and snapped the reins.
The horses neighed softly and began their slow trot down the dirt road, wheels crunching over pebbles and dry grass.
Viros leaned out the side of the carriage, watching the capital city grow smaller in the distance.
"Sylvan, huh? That's the heart of the Elven Kingdom, right?"
Luca nodded his head as he glanced at Akamir.
"It's one of the oldest cities in the continent. If we're going to find anything useful about the old faith or elven relics, it'll be there."
Viros let out a low whistle. "So we're treasure hunting?"
"No." Akamir cut in his words. "We are going to meet someone special."
Akamir didn't bother to explain much as he leaned back on the wall.
He already knows the exact location of Velyrian's master house.
Akamir planned to go to meet him first before he goes to meet his daughter.
'Still, the Empress.....'
Despite he already knows about her, Akamir wasn't sure how to react.
It felt too much like a coincidence that he got to meet with the royal blood here in a human kingdom.
'Am I thinking too much into it?' He wondered, frowning in confusion.
"Come to think of it." Nayomi said, floating close by. "Didn't Velyrian ask you to not go to Elven Kingdom?"
Akamir glanced at her as he remembered his words.
'....Yeah.'
He did ask him to never visit the Elven Kingdom.
'Then why did he change his mind?'
What made him change his mind when he was so firm on him not visiting the elves?
'Was it the Ven Core?'
He thought, a growing concern began to creep in his mind.
Akamir wasn't sure about it, but he could feel uneasiness in his heart.
'Hopefully it's nothing.'
The carriage moved for a few minutes in silence.
Then, suddenly a loud voice echoed.
It startled not only the horses but even Akamir who was inside.
"Whoever is inside, come out!"
An arrogant voice echoed from the outside.
Akamir sighed as he rubbed his head. "What a pain."
Apparently, some bandits are eager to die.
---
[Sylvan Kingdom.]
[At the branch of the World Tree.]
The morning sun filtered through the leaves of the great World Tree.
A small cottage remained still close to the root of the World Tree.
Inside, the quiet hum of nature was broken by a loud, panicked cry.
"Fire! The World Tree is on fire!"
An old elf woman stumbled back from the glowing basin at the center of the room, her eyes wide and her breath shallow.
Her long, moss-colored robes swayed around her as she turned toward the young girl kneeling beside her.
"Grandmother Elya?" the apprentice asked, rising quickly to steady her. "What happened!?"
She quickly got a hold of the old elf who was panicking around.
Elya grabbed the girl's wrists with bony hands.
"The spirit of the tree showed me, Lia." The old lady whispered. "It's burning, Lia. The World Tree... it's bleeding fire."
Lia's eyes widened. "Bleeding...? But that's—"
"Something terrible is going to happen, Lia!!" The old elf yelled, her voice serious. "The World Tree is going to die. All of us are going to die!!"
Lia quickly stopped her grandmother from creating a scene in the early morning.
She looked into her eyes. "Was it a vision?"
The old elf nodded her head in response.
She turned back to the glowing basin. The water inside was still rippling, a faint shimmer of gold across its surface.
But behind it, a faint trace of smoke curled upward, as if the vision had left something behind.
"I saw something else," Elya muttered, eyes narrowed. "A figure."
Lia looked up. "Who?"
"I couldn't see his face," the old woman murmured. "But his shadow was long... and behind him marched thousands. His hands were stained red... "
Lia swallowed. "Is it war?"
"No," Elya said. "It's something worse. A calamity."
She turned slowly, her gaze piercing despite her age. "Tell the elders. A curse is coming. One that will not stop at our borders."
Lia bowed her head quickly and ran out of the room, the echo of her hurried footsteps bouncing off the walls.
Elya, now alone, looked once more at the basin.
The golden glow dimmed, replaced by a dull red hue.
She closed her eyes and whispered softly.
"Look after us, oh golden Sun."

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC155: Sylvan Kingdom [1]
Chapter 155: Sylvan Kingdom [1]
[Five Days Later.]
"Am I some kind of main character or what?"
Viros mumbled to himself as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
His long sea-green hair tied in a loose ponytail while a smug look was on his face.
Luca glared at his cousin who kept on gloating over something.
"What are you speaking?" He asked, punching Viros. "Have you gone senile?"
Viros rubbed his side, walking side by side with his brother.
"No, think about it carefully. During the last few days we have been attacked six times!" He said, wrapping his hand over his shoulder. "Isn't it too much of a coincidence?"
Akamir, who was leading the group, looked back at the boy.
"It's because of the path we are in." He said, his voice clear. "It's almost a jungle, best place for the bandits."
Just like how Viros had said, they were attacked a total of six times.
Most of them were low-level bandits who couldn't even use mana properly.
Elves, being secretive as they are, give the humans only one way to reach them.
The other paths are all completely guarded by their armed forces.
Akamir slowed his pace a little so the two boys could catch up beside him.
The path ahead was narrow, with trees crowding close on either side.
The air smelled damp, the kind of earthy scent that stuck to their clothes and hair.
Midway through their journey, their carriage crashed, forcing them to continue on foot.
"From the looks of it, we are close." Akamir said, glancing back. "Perhaps a few more hours."
"That's good." Viros replied, massaging his hips. "Man, my ass hurts."
"What did you do at night, Luca?" Akamir asked, glaring at the ginger-haired boy. "I thought you were the bottom one."
"Wha—What do you mean!?" He rebuked, his mouth half open. "I swear I didn't touch—."
"Tch. I always had my suspicions." Viros cut in his words with a disappointed look. "That's why elder sister always beat you up."
Luca visibly trembled at the mention of his sister. "Don't remind me of her!"
"Wait, you guys have an elder sister?" Akamir asked, raising his brow. "Aren't you guys orphans?"
"Why are you shocked?" Viros grumbled, noticing their blunder. "Can't orphans have sisters as well?"
Akamir stared at them for a moment, then let out a short laugh. "I guess that's fair."
Luca, still flustered, crossed his arms. "Trust me, you don't want to meet her. She is the scariest woman I've ever met."
"And the strongest," Viros added, rubbing his neck.
"She once threw a grown man through a wall just because he looked at Luca wrongly."
"Well, with his twig-like frame, I don't blame the man." Akamir replied, observing the boy.
Viros rubbed his chest lewdly. "Neither do I."
Luca glared at both of them. "One more word and I will kill you both."
"Keep dreaming." Akamir said, leading them once again. "Not like it's achievable."
Viros stifled a laugh while Luca groaned, dragging his feet behind them.
The jungle path ahead dipped into a slope, roots sticking out from the soil like bones buried halfway through.
The sound of birds and the occasional rustle in the brush followed them.
As they kept walking, the air grew cooler, the sunlight dimmed by the thick canopy above.
The trees were taller here—abnormally so—and far older.
Moss clung to the bark, and small patches of glowing fungi shimmered faintly at the bases of trunks.
"We're getting close to elven territory now," Akamir said, brushing aside a low-hanging branch. "The forest here is different."
"How do you know?" Viros asked, wiping sweat off his forehead.
"I've studied their land before," Akamir said. "Besides, can't you feel it? The mana here is... heavier."
Luca paused, frowning. He looked around as if only now noticing the change. "It's true. Even I can feel the change."
Viros groaned, rubbing his chin. "Wait, why the fuck is mana thicker now?"
"Don't you know?"
"What?"
Luca let out a sigh as he looked at Viros like he was seeing an idiot.
"It's because of the World Tree." He replied, his voice soft. "The World Tree refines the mana and makes it thicker."
"That's why the elves are both physically and mentally stronger. They live in a better place." Akamir added, looking at him.
"And also the reason they spend most of their time close to the World Tree."
Viros blinked slowly, letting the explanation sink in. "...So you're saying the tree makes them jacked?"
Luca facepalmed. "No, you idiot. It refines the mana in the area, which affects their bodies, minds, and magic over time."
"Right, right..." Viros nodded, pretending to understand. "Jacked tree magic. Got it."
"How are they jacked?" Luca groaned in confusion. "They look weaker than me."
Viros grinned. "Genderless femboy."
"That's not a thing." Luca frowned. "How can a genderless—."
Akamir ignored the comment and pressed forward.
"Keep your voices low from now on." He said, quietly. "We're too close to the border. Elves may already be watching us."
"Honestly, I hate how much we have affected this world." Nayomi suddenly grumbled softly. "They were pure before we arrived and 'educated' them."
Akamir let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, telling them things like femboys wasn't a great idea."
"What can I say." She replied, her voice ashamed. "Few of my classmates have weird tastes."
Akamir smiled but didn't comment on it.
Viros and Luca fell silent as well, their footsteps more cautious now as they followed Akamir.
The deeper they moved, the more the forest felt... alive.
It wasn't just in the rustle of wind or animal calls, but a subtle presence in the air, like the forest was listening.
They passed an old stone marker half-buried in moss.
Elegant writing in a language neither Viros nor Luca could read glowed faintly on its surface.
Akamir paused briefly beside it.
"What does it say?" Luca whispered.
"It's a boundary rune," Akamir replied. "It marks the edge of the elven domain. We're officially on their land now."
The two boys tensed, suddenly hyperaware of every sound around them.
The trail curved slightly, revealing a clear stream running across it.
The water sparkled unnaturally, like tiny stars had been dropped inside.
"Holy crap," Viros muttered, kneeling down. "Even the water looks magical here."
"Don't drink it," Akamir warned. "Some streams near the World Tree are laced with mana too strong for humans."
Viros yanked his hand back quickly. "Good to know."
A soft rustling came from the trees ahead.
All three of them tensed up instantly.
Then, as if melting out of the forest, two figures appeared—elves, dressed in long cloaks of green and silver, bows in hand and eyes like cold glass.
Akamir didn't flinch. He stepped forward slowly and raised his right hand.
A wooden slate with engraving in his hand.
It was the seal given to the elves who have a friendly relationship with their kingdom.
"I come bearing the seal of Imoyan Company," he said calmly. "We request entry to Sylvan."
One of the elves narrowed her eyes. She looked at his hand, then at his face.
"Wait here," she said curtly before vanishing back into the forest without a sound.
The other remained still, watching them carefully.
Minutes passed in silence.
Luca leaned closer to Akamir. "Are we actually gonna be let in?"
"We will," Akamir said confidently.
"How can you be so sure?"
Akamir didn't reply; instead, he shrugged.
He can't just say that he was holding one of their favorite resources.
As they waited, the trees ahead parted slightly, and a taller elf with golden hair and a high crest of armor stepped through.
His eyes landed on Akamir. Then slowly, he gave a short bow.
"The one who bears Velyrian's mark," he said. "You may enter."
The elf stepped aside, and the forest behind him seemed to shift—revealing a hidden path lined with glowing stones and silver vines.
Akamir looked back at the boys. "Let's go."
Viros smiled as he walked towards the elf with the armor. "Brother, is there any brothel—."
Luca quickly walked forward and grabbed his mouth. "He doesn't say anything!"
He quickly dragged the boy along with him towards Akamir.
Akamir walked on the path as they slowly saw it.
The World Tree.
Its enormous branches floated in the air like they held the entire sky.
'Damn, this place is nice.'
He let out a sigh as he looked down on the pathway.
It led them to a city.
Contrary to what Akamir thought, the place was like an ancient elf domain.
It was far more modern, made around the world tree without even harming it.
Tall white towers made of polished stone stood proudly between thick trees.
Bridges arched over small rivers running through the city like veins, and glowing blue lights floated above the streets, giving the entire place a gentle radiance.
Smooth, rune-etched roads curved through the city, guiding their way as the elf escorted them silently.
It was far more magical than they had expected.
Viros glanced around, wide-eyed. "Okay... I take it back. Elves might be cooler than I thought."
Luca elbowed him. "You've barely been here five minutes. Don't jinx it."
His steps slowed down as he noticed the elf taking them somewhere.
"Excuse me." Akamir said, his voice soft. "But where are we going?"
The elf with the armor glanced back at them.
"Our leader would like to meet you." He said, his voice cold.
"The Empress?" Akamir guessed, narrowing his eyes in suspicion.
"No."
The elf shook his head.
"Our royal advisor—Sir Lewin Anthris Faelor."

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC156: Sylvan Kingdom [2]
Chapter 156: Sylvan Kingdom [2]
Akamir tapped his fingers on the armrest as he looked at the elf standing on the side.
Impatience was clear on his face that he wasn't even trying to hide now.
The room they were in was beautiful.
Curved wooden beams, walls etched with glowing runes.
A ceiling that opened just enough to let soft sunlight trickle in.
But no amount of beauty could hide the fact that they were being stalled.
"When is your Royal advisor coming?" Viros groaned, sitting on the corner. "It's been two hours already."
"Sir Lewin is a busy person." The elf in armour said. "Please wait for a little longer."
Though it may sound like a request, it was rather an order.
Akamir rubbed the back of his neck as he stared at the elf.
'They are doing this on purpose.'
Akamir was far more aware of their tactics than they expected.
How could he not? He has used it a lot of times before.
To create a psychological pressure on his opponent.
Like they were the ones who were in the wrong.
'Lewin is trying to make sure we are being suppressed.'
Maybe it was because of the Imoyan company.
The elves always wanted to take over the company since the beginning.
The elf standing by the door didn't react to any of it.
His expression hadn't changed once since they entered the room.
Akamir narrowed his eyes slightly at the elf. "Is this normal treatment for guests who come with your kingdom's seal?"
"Sir Lewin handles all affairs relating to foreign mana disturbances." The elf blinked once. "Your arrival falls under his purview."
Akamir let out a chuckle as he looked up at the ceiling. 'Fucking pieces of shits.'
Finally, after six more minutes, the door opened up.
The air seemed to shift in an instant.
In walked a tall elf, dressed in a long robe of deep emerald with golden lining.
His hair was white, not with age, but from birth, glowing faintly like moonlight.
His steps were soundless, his presence commanding.
The elf guard at the door straightened instantly. "Sir Lewin."
Lewin gave a nod in response, then turned his piercing eyes toward Akamir.
"So," he said slowly, his voice smooth but firm. "You are the one with the Imoyan company's seal?"
Akamir stood up, brushing the folds of his coat. "Took your time."
Lewin didn't smile. "Time is the one thing I can't afford to waste. So I suggest we skip the pleasantries."
He walked further into the room and took a seat across from Akamir, resting his hands on the table between them.
"I've done some... digging into you." He said, his golden eyes on him. "Why is the Krivos royal consort here?"
"Sightseeing." Akamir said without a change in his tone. "I came to see the beauty of the elven kingdom."
Lewin didn't seem to buy his words as his face morphed into anger.
"I suggest you speak the truth." He said, his voice low. "Otherwise...."
"I am telling the truth." Akamir replied, staring at him. "Why would I lie?"
Lewin's fingers tapped once on the table, making sharp sounds.
'He is trying to irritate me into speaking more than necessary.'
Akamir held back his laugh as he looked at the elf.
Despite his appearance, Akamir was sure the man was more than two hundred years old.
His way of doing things wasn't something a youngling would do.
"You really expect me to believe that the royal consort of Krivos crossed half the kingdom just to sightsee?" he finally said, his tone flat. "You insult our intelligence."
"And you insult mine by assuming I'd come here without a reason I can defend." Akamir replied coolly, meeting his gaze without hesitation.
The two stared at each other in silence, neither blinking.
Luca fidgeted nervously in his seat while Viros munched on something he had pulled from his pocket, completely unfazed.
Lewin finally leaned back, exhaling slowly. "What is your relationship with Imoyan company?"
Akamir shrugged as he was already expecting the question.
He was sure this was the reason why Lewin even stopped them in the first place.
"I have no relationship with them." He replied, looking at him. "It was them who approached Queen Inara to help her."
"For the battle of the throne?" Lewin guessed, his tone even.
Akamir just nodded without any words.
"So, you have no relation with the Imoyan company?" He asked, like he was confirming it. "But you still have their seal?"
Akamir didn't flinch at his calm yet threatening voice. "Is there a problem?"
"This reason alone is enough for me to throw you away." Lewin said, "to keep my kingdom safe."
Akamir leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on the table. "If I were here to cause trouble, don't you think I'd have done it by now?"
Lewin didn't answer immediately.
"And yet," Lewin said at last, "your presence stirs unease."
"That's because you don't like not being in control," Akamir said plainly. "I get it. If someone walked into my house waving another man's seal, I'd be suspicious too."
"You speak boldly for a guest."
"I speak honestly," Akamir corrected him. "You can spend all day grilling me, but it won't change the fact that I'm not here to challenge your authority."
Lewin let out a chuckle. "There is no one in the kingdom who can do that."
Akamir leaned forward, eyes on him. "Is this a challenge?"
Lewin's smile faded as fast as it had come.
"Careful there." Nayomi's voice echoed from the side. "He is stronger than you by a lot."
'It doesn't matter.'
Akamir, as of now, was here with the name of the Imoyan company.
If he even tried to touch him, Lewin would risk losing everything.
And Akamir was sure the man was smart enough to understand that.
'It's easy to control a smart one who always thinks ahead.'
Lewin slowly stood up from his seat as he began to walk away.
"You have three days." He said, without looking at him. "After that, you will get out of my kingdom."
Akamir didn't mind his attitude as he stood up as well. "Well, thanks. I guess."
Just when Lewin was about to walk away, Akamir stopped him once again.
"I have a request." Akamir said, looking at him.
Lewin looked back at him. "I am listening."
"I wish to meet with the Empress Seraphina." Akamir said, "it's important."
For the first time since they met, Lewin showed an abnormal reaction.
An anger like Akamir had asked for his possession.
But it only lasted for a second.
He drew in a deep breath, calming himself down. "Tell me, I will relay the message."
"I would like to do it myself." Akamir said, his voice even. "Like I said, it's important."
"You must be either very bold," Lewin said slowly, "or very stupid."
"Maybe both," Akamir replied calmly. "But that doesn't change what I asked."
"Do you even understand what you're requesting?" Lewin's voice dropped lower, his tone sharp now. "The Empress hasn't granted a private audience in over a decade."
"My request still stands."
"You either tell me or you keep your words to yourself."
Saying so, Lewin walked out of the room without even looking back.
Akamir remained within the room for a while as even the guard elf left.
'...Hmm.'
He rubbed the back of his neck as he picked up his bag, and so did Luca and Viros.
'Something is definitely wrong here.'
Had he not sensed the weirdness of the place, Akamir would have given the letter to Lewin.
'...But I don't think he would pass the letter to the Empress.'
Call it a king's intuition, but Akamir was sure it will happen.
Lewin is keeping the Empress in a cage for a reason.
They walked out of the room and found themselves on the streets of the city.
"So, what now?" Viros asked, looking at Akamir.
The wheat-blonde-haired boy let out a sigh as he looked around.
His plan was to meet with the Empress, pass her the letter, and then get to Velyrian's master.
'...But it seems like I can't do that now.'
Now, the only way to get an audience with her was to force his way in.
'Well, I can't do that alone.'
He let out a sigh as he rubbed his chin.
Akamir took out the letter he got from Velyrian and read the address on the back.
He then looked back at the two brothers.
"We are going to Avlyen."

CROWNLESS REINCARNATION: NEW WORLD? NAH I'D WINC157: Sylvan Kingdom [3] [Bonus]
Chapter 157: Sylvan Kingdom [3] [Bonus]
[Sylvan Kingdom.]
In the heart of the biggest kingdom by land in the Vyrinthia Continent.
The enormous World Tree that touched the sky looked over the kingdom.
A small, cozy and beautiful house lay at the top middle branch.
Not many are aware of it, but the World Tree wasn't always here to begin with.
It was the part of a much larger tree that is situated in the other end of the world.
The World Tree of Elves is connected to the "Primordial Naraina Tree."
The tree that was gifted to the first elven queen along with the eight-fingered hand.
It was given to her as a way to rule the world under the command of the Golden Sun.
Legends have it that the branches of the World Tree are connected with the "Primordial Naraina Tree."
Though there were fairies that used to live here once.
After the corruption of the spirit world, every fairy was killed or corrupted.
....Except one.
The only fairy who survived the massacre was her.
"Get up, Seraph!!"
Who was now doing a part-time job as an alarm clock.
Faint sunlight seeped through the cracks of the small windows.
"Come on, how long are you going to sleep!!"
The small fairy, not bigger than the size of a hand, was pulling the cheek of a woman.
Calling her a woman won't be right as she was genderless with a woman's body frame.
"Mmm..."
As if stimulated by the continuous shouting, the woman lying there like a sculpture raised her head.
Her hair resembling the molten gold cascaded down her neck.
As she opened her golden eyes, they sparkled like starlight.
The eyes that have destroyed the lives of thousands.
The beauty of the elf was far higher than any living being could handle.
Only a spirit animal or fairy can be herself after looking into her eyes.
She was the Empress of the Elves; Seraphina Lilith Sylvan.
Though she doesn't look like one right now.
The fairy huffed as she crossed her tiny arms, wings fluttering in annoyance.
"I swear, Seraph, you're worse than a cursed boulder. At least that rolls when you kick it!"
Seraphina blinked slowly, then yawned loudly.
Her voice came out low and soft, barely above a whisper. "...Five more minutes, Lili."
"Five—! You said that an hour ago!" Lili screeched, zipping above her head. "You're the Empress, not some lazy potato!"
Seraphina rolled onto her side, burying half her face in the pillow. "Exactly. I'm the Empress. I make the rules."
Lili groaned and collapsed face-first onto Seraphina's head. "You've got a meeting with the Moon Root Council in an hour."
"They can wait." Seraphina replied slowly. "I don't have anything else to do."
The fairy fluttered over to her. "Don't you wanna go out?"
At that, Seraphina's eyes opened a little wider.
She stayed still for a moment.
"....Is today the day?"
"Yeah."
Seraphina slowly sat up, strands of her golden hair spilling over her bare shoulders like liquid fire.
She rubbed her temples. "Finally, I can see the world once again...."
"You need to get ready first!" Lili said, placing her hands on her waist. "Get ready!"
The room was small, yet filled with warmth.
Seraphina stood up from her bed as she opened the window.
Immediately, light rushed inside, making her squint her eyes.
And then came the scenery from the above.
Seraphina could see almost the entirety of her kingdom from here.
When the cold wind hit her face, the Empress closed her eyes.
"It's been so long..." she whispered softly. "I want to go out."
Within the Elves, Seraphina has another name.
The Witch of Madness.
Due to the curse that she had on her, anyone that sees her face loses their mind.
They fell into an incurable disease to helplessly fall in love with her.
And when they can't have her... they kill themselves in a few months.
In her entire lifetime, there are only three people who could see her face without dying.
Lili, her father, and... for some reason, Lewin.
Thinking about her father, her gaze fell on the photo on her table.
A picture frame of her younger self along with her father lay there.
A sadness crept in her mind which she immediately suppressed.
'He should be out there... living his life.'
And Seraphina never blamed him for that.
She did take away his wife when she was born and then his legs....
Seraphina reached over and turned the photo frame face-down.
Lili landed on her shoulder, placing her tiny hand over Seraphina's cheek. "Hey."
"I'm fine," Seraphina said before she could ask. "Just... not used to sunlight yet."
Lili didn't seem to buy her words. "It's not that." She said. "...Are you worried about that prophecy?"
Seraphina's mood immediately changed as she heard about it.
A few days ago, the Seer and the voice of the World Tree broke the news.
That her kingdom was in great danger and the World Tree would die.
At first, Seraphina didn't believe her words, but the more she thinks about it, the more unrested her heart becomes.
"Don't worry too much." Lili coaxed, her voice soft. "You are strong enough to protect the World Tree."
"But still." Seraphina hesitated before sighing. "I don't like being in the dark."
It's been so long since the World Tree has given Seer Elya a vision.
Seraphina just couldn't bring herself to be relaxed about it.
"What if they are the Servants of Skinless?" She muttered, uneasiness clear in her voice. "We can't fight them—."
"You are thinking too much!" Lili said, puffing her cheeks. "Seriously, you are such a troublesome child."
Seraphina wanted to retort as she was over forty but kept her mouth shut.
An average fairy lives a lot longer than an average elf.
Lili let a smile bloom on her face as she said. "Come on, let's let you out of here!"
Seraphina also smiled softly as she moved back and sat on the bed.
Lili hovered close by. "Ready?"
The Empress nodded her head excitedly as she closed her eyes.
Lili moved and sat on her head, whispering. "Merge."
Slowly, a change occurred in them.
Seraphina blinked as she looked around.
Now, she wasn't seeing from her own eyes but from Lili's eyes.
The world from Lili's eyes looked... different.
"Whoa..." Seraphina muttered through Lili's lips.
She was no longer inside her body.
Her consciousness rested gently within Lili, allowing the fairy to act as her vessel to see and feel things.
It was the only way she could step outside without killing half the kingdom by accident.
Seraphina might use it on a daily basis but she can do it only once a month.
Because there was no spirit world to take pure energy from... Lili couldn't exert too much strength.
"I forgot how weird your eyes are," Seraphina said as she glanced down from their perch on the balcony.
Lili chuckled. "That's rude. You're using them."
"Doesn't make it less weird."
"Well, you're welcome."
Seraphina, through Lili, flew up from the balcony and hovered above the canopy.
The Sylvan Kingdom was truly a paradise... and also a prison.
"Where to first?" Lili asked as she hovered in the open sky, spinning slightly in place.
"Let's visit somewhere random," Seraphina replied. "Maybe a village."
The fairy zipped downward in a graceful arc, dodging leaf-blades and mana vines that twisted lazily from branch to branch.
Lili giggled. "Off. We. Go!"
Her body vanished in the thin air.
When the light returned, Lili was in a completely different place.
"Whoa...." Seraphina exclaimed softly as she 'looked' at it.
The village was far away from the World Tree.
It was built around curved bark walkways and floating wooden lanterns that glowed with trapped spirit lights.
Children with pointy ears ran around barefoot, chasing spirit butterflies.
"It's so... alive," Seraphina whispered.
"Of course it is," Lili said with pride, twirling in the air. "These are your people, after all."
"But they've never seen me," Seraphina replied quietly.
"And yet, they still love you."
Seraphina watched a young elf girl kneel by a fox, gently feeding it something.
Lili flew lower, weaving between vines and buildings until they reached a wide circular platform.
It was still early in the morning as they moved around.
Lili didn't have much problem as no one could see her.
With every new generation of Elves, they have forgotten about the Fairies.
Lili blinked and vanished once again.
"Ouch!"
Seraphina winced as she felt Lili's pain who had collided with something.
She blinked and looked up.
A giant with crimson eyes and wheat-blonde hair blinked back at her.
Seraphina panicked. "Lili!?"
But Lili was too terrified to even move.
She could 'see' and 'feel' from him what Seraphina couldn't.
Akamir blinked in confusion. "A fairy?"
