Chapter 30- Venessa's shrewdness against Ryuk's middle finger
Outside the Gates of the Royal Palace of the Selvius Kingdom,
"I heard things aren't well in North,Count Eric " Many noblemen moved towards the palace to discuss countermeasures with Queen Alisia to address the problems arising in several parts of the Kingdom.
While walking, a man in his late twenties, with an exhausted face, turned towards the person who reminded him of his situation. A defeated smile formed on his face, "You already know, Baron, things aren't going well in the North; my last hope is the Queen."
It has been six months since the relentless cold hit the North, causing inhabitants to suffer from a lack of food due to destroyed crops.
Things became even more severe when the pandemic enveloped the entire County.
Count Eric, in an attempt to resolve the problems, contacted the Silvester Family, within whose duchy the major parts of the North fall.
However, he waited for three months just to get a chance to talk with the head of the family, and even then, he got nothing except for some words from Duke Silvester.
// Go and enjoy yourself, Count. If some people die, then it doesn't matter much; after all, fewer mouths to feed will only lessen your burden //
While moving, Count Eric felt helpless; for him, his people were the priority.
What would be the meaning of being called a Lord when he can't even protect his people? 'Queen Alisia will at least suggest some ways,' he hoped.
It was already known among every noble that the Kingdom was under Queen Alisia's control, not the King, who merely acted as a facade.
This caused a relentless struggle between the Silvester family and Queen's supporters.
Whenever noblemen tried to explain the danger the Silvester family posed, the Queen had only one reply: // Let them play //
These words seemed arrogant coming from the Queen's mouth, resulting in very few followers of the Selvius Royal family actually siding with her.
Count Eric was among those few.
'!?'
While walking, Count suddenly interrupted his path and turned towards the palace gates, narrowing his eyes.
"What happened, Count?" One of the nobles, feeling confused at such an interruption, inquired. Prompting a reply from his mouth, "Can't you hear someone's screams?"
Everyone hearing his words felt confused, turning towards each other.
They did not doubt Count Eric's words due to everyone being aware of the mana skills possessed by him, only kept waiting for the sound to become audible for them.
"Aaa....."
"AaaaaaGgg..."
Tack Tack
But making that sound fade away was another overlapping on it, the sound belonged to a horseshoe thundering with the ground while slowly becoming more vivid.
Slowly, a horse became visible as it entered the gates while dragging something behind, the power with which the horse moved evident from the dragged figure's condition.
Neeeeiiighhh
"AaaaGggghhh.....Thud...kugh!" The moment the horse stopped and galloped, causing the guard being dragged by it to get thrown forward before stopping in front of the nobles, groaning in pain with a completely destroyed body.
"Kughhh"
Ignoring the groans of the person, all of their eyes fell on the figure disembarking from the horse, the already known amber eyes making all of them realize the identity of the figure.
"C-crown Prince?!" All of them moved towards Ryuk while some noble identifying the guard from the Silvester family walked over his body to greet their future king.
Ryuk, standing there and seeing nobles coming towards him, directly recognized Count Eric, causing a smile to form on his face as he moved towards them.
The nobles were already shocked seeing everything in front of them.
"Count Eric, what is the reason for you to be here?" Ryuk's eyes were fixed on the person in question, causing Eric to feel different seeing how the Crown Prince recognized him, despite him not even having lived in the capital to begin with.
According to the rules, nobles were expected to leave a substitute in the capital city to attend emergency meetings or answer calls from the Royal family.
However, many nobles, using this as an excuse, preferred to stay in the capital while their proxies handled their positions in their respective Feigdoms, enjoying a luxurious lifestyle here, in the capital.
Yet, a few nobles like Baron Carlo or Count Eric chose to leave proxies in the capital, such as their wives, and faithfully handled their duties themselves.
This made such nobles easier to forget than those who visited the palace on every occasions.
"Your Highness, it is my pleasure to be remembered by you," Count Eric bowed, feeling slightly delighted at not being forgotten by the future king while battling on the borders, he continued, " I am here to request some aid from Her majesty about County, Your Highness"
"Is it about the pandemic and the monster rampage?" Ryuk, already aware of the reason for the count being here, couldn't help but ponder over the smallness of the world in reality.
The Silvester family's grand plan to awaken a sleeping beast had caused chaos in the North.
Disease and monster rampages led to the entire county engulfed in death.
Ryuk felt amused thinking about the coincidence that the very Saintess of Goddess Fela, Maria, who would later be known as Marianne, belonged to the North where her mother died due to the pandemic.
His amusement stemmed from the realization that the major future supporters of the Saintess would be the Silvesters themselves.
'I need to deal with that problem.' One of the major reasons for him to orchestrate provoking the Silvester family by declaring Adanyl as crown Princess was everything related to his upcoming journey to the North.
He was not a saint, neither in his previous life nor now.
Even in the past, his actions had motives behind them. And even now, his aim was definitely not solely focused on people's welfare.
"Yes, Your Highness, it is!" Count Eric, seeing how the Crown Prince was aware of his problems, felt a surge of hope, momentarily forgetting his etiquette in excitement. Realizing this, he promptly apologized, "Forgive my impudence, Your Highness."
"It's fine. I will personally talk with my mother about your problem," Ryuk assured them before shifting his gaze towards a large palace detached from the main one at some distance. "Also..."
He continued, "Do me a favor, Noblemen."
"With our pleasure, Your Highness," everyone present there deeply impressed by Ryuk, bowed, feeling somewhat relieved knowing their future was secured with a worthy king.
"A Royal carriage will arrive here shortly. I want you to instruct my butler to tend to that girl in my mother's presence," Ryuk stated, not wanting to delay any further as he moved towards the Elysium, ignoring the nobles who waited eagerly to carry out his orders.
...
After a few minutes, Ryuk finally arrived at the bustling gates of the Elysium. The area was already bustling with maids.
"Y-your Highness!?" Vivian, standing outside and already waiting for Ryuk's arrival, sprinted towards him before bowing in front of him, tears streaming from her eyes.
"Forgive me, Your Highness...hic... I wanted to, but..." Her voice faltered as she tried to plead and repent for her mistake of not being able to help the future Queen in such a condition.
Her tear-filled eyes were evidence of the pain she felt.
"It's not your fault. Tell me, where is she?"
Ryuk's words snapped Vivian out of her thoughts.
Overwhelmed, knowing this situation might ruin Olivia's and Ryuk's already unstable relationship, Vivian, with a quivering voice, replied, "Princess Olivia is—"
"Not her," Ryuk's firm tone interrupted Vivian's response, making her change her words, "Miss Adanyl is in her room."
"Lead the way."
Vivian swiftly composed herself, wiping away her tears, and guided Ryuk towards Adanyl's room.
Observing her, Ryuk slowly followed behind, a smile forming on his face.
His ears sensed a commotion that seemed to anticipate his arrival, but his current priorities lay elsewhere for the moment.
.
.
.
.
Adanyl's POV
Inside a lavishly decorated room, adorned with opulent furnishings, many maids and healers surrounded a bed where a small girl with white hair and ruby eyes lay.
'Thank God, I knew swimming.'
It would have been a disaster if I had drowned there, but strangely, I struggled more than usual to swim.
'They've really turned me into a piglet!' I glanced at the maids, their eyes filled with concern, but it was them whom persistently fed me various things without listening to my protests causing me to gain weight.
What would happen if His Highness saw me like this?
Would he think I'm lazy?
But despite my frustration, seeing their worried faces, I couldn't help but feel a warm sensation in my heart.
It was the first time someone had been genuinely concerned about my pain.
Even at the monastery, no one cared when I cried due to pain, which had made me somewhat accustomed to people's indifference.
However, it felt good, seeing these maid's genuine concern that was all thanks to His Highness.
"Please don't exert your body."
'Shut up, I'm not even moving.' I'm literally lying on my bed with both hands and legs in the maid's arms while they're rubbing them. 'Idiot, how could I even move?'
"Please don't move your head either. You there, maid, go hold her head too, or she'll get a neck cramp."
'Someone reprimand that old man!' I glanced towards the healer's head, who was constantly trying to keep me in bed as if I were seriously injured.
'Even a fool can see he just wants to make me look seriously injured.' I couldn't help but look towards the maids who were also fooled by these conmen, claiming my condition was worse than it actually was.
Krieeeeekk~
Suddenly, the door of the room opened, but I didn't turn my head. Who knew that old man would spout his nonsense again...
...
As Ryuk entered Adanyl's room, the first sight that met his eyes was five maids sitting on the bed, restraining a small girl. Each one was holding her legs, hands, and head.
'Are they torturing her?' Ryuk thought, concluding from the scene before him.
Everyone's gaze fixated on him except the little girl who looked towards the ceiling while her head was lightly held by a maid.
"Y-your Highness!?" The old man rushed to greet Ryuk, who found Adanyl's posture somewhat amusing.
He turned towards the man in front of him while the others also stood up from the bed and bowed.
"Is Crown Princess safe?"
'!?'
The moment those words reached Adanyl's ears, she swiftly turned her head towards Ryuk.
Her ruby red eyes met his amber ones, a smile visible on his face witnessing the surprise on the girl's face.
'He used me!' Adanyl cried inside her mind, understanding how she had been used as bait.
She was already aware of the real world and its ways.
Her background as a commoner and nothing particularly special made it clear why she had been declared as Crown Princess.
'What a smart girl,' Ryuk thought. There was a reason why he had used Adanyl as bait to lure the Silvesters.
From the moment he met her, he had been aware that she was far from stupid, and now, the shocked expression on her face confirmed his suspicions.
Turning his gaze towards the healers, Ryuk understood that this situation had been orchestrated by Venessa to portray Adanyl as severely injured, intending to manipulate his response.
"Not much, Your Highness, exactly—"
'!?'
Sensing Ryuk's gesture to halt, the healer's eyes shifted towards his cold amber orbs fixed on Adanyl.
"Who slapped her?" Ryuk's voice resonated with firmness as he directed his attention towards the maids, causing them to feel overwhelmed.
One of them, trembling, bowed before speaking, "It was the maids accompanying Her Highness."
Without any delay, Ryuk turned and left the room before looking at Adanyl, whose mouth was wide open due to the smirk she got from him.
'He is a devil!' Adanyl understood that he was once again acting to appear upset by her face slap, realizing how much her future was in danger now. 'I need to run away from here.'
'Wait!' Suddenly, a realization hit her, which seemed possible.
'Don't tell me he tasked the maids to make me heavy so I can't run away.'
While lost in her thoughts, the little girl kept looking toward the ceiling, clearly seeing her future as a chubby queen.
.
.
Ryuk moved out of the room, proceeding directly to the garden, where he had heard a very interesting sound.
Thwwukk! Thwwukk!
"Aaahhhhh...Forgive us, your Majesty!"
Upon arriving, Ryuk witnessed a woman with blonde hair and crimson eyes, beating two maids with a whip while they pleaded and cried for mercy.
'How gruesome,' he thought, observing the brutality the innocent maids had to endure simply because their use had ended. 'Pitiful.'
His already soft heart melted once again, prompting him to move towards them.
Feeling Ryuk's approach, Venessa continued whipping the maids, ignoring their safety as they were trained spies from the Silvester family.
Their bodies had been toughened to endure some whipping by Venessa, who had chosen to grant them a special position in the palace due to their performance.
As Ryuk approached, Venessa pretended anger, saying, "You filth, you know what you did."
Thwwukk!
"AaaGgghHh!.....Please have mercy, Your Majesty," the maids pleaded, feeling the pain.
Though it stung them, rising in position necessitated it.
Having completed their work, such opportunities for advancement were rare when they just needed to merely slap a little girl.
"Lady Venessa, you could stop now." Ryuk, feeling pity for these maids who had received merely ten or so hits, wanted to lessen their pain and decrease their suffering.
"Your Highness, when you arrived," Venessa feigned surprise upon seeing Ryuk's arrival.
However, noticing how his gaze was fixed on both maids pleading for mercy, she continued, "Please, you don't need to forgive them."
"But you have already hit them several times." Ryuk turned towards Venessa with a smile, confusing her as his expression and words didn't align.
"But they deserve it," Venessa slowly signaled the maids to continue their act, stealing glances at them.
"Forgive us, Your Highness! We deserve to die!" Both maids pleaded in unison, feeling guilty for their crime.
Ryuk fell into a dilemma, wanting to save them but also not wanting them to feel unrepentant.
"Sigh, you don't need to do this, Lady Venessa." He sighed while looking at the pleading maids, then turned his gaze towards Venessa, signaling for the whip. He added, "But only one whip. I will not hit them more. They are already pitiful. I am just doing this for their own satisfaction."
Hearing Ryuk's words, both maids smiled, understanding how easily they would escape this place with just a hit from a child.
Venessa passed the whip to Ryuk, his smile slowly fading before a cold glint passed through his eyes, looking towards the maids who were expecting only a single hit.
WHOOSH
'!?'
All of their eyes widened as the whip became shrouded in amethyst mana, making both maids realize what was about to happen, hardening their bodies using mana.
THHWWWUUUKKKK!!!!
SPLASH
Venessa stood there, her eyes becoming blurry due to some fluid on her face slowly dripping down.
Drip
A subtle sound made her lift her now trembling hands towards her face, already knowing what this crimson liquid was, yet confirming it with her own eyes.
"Kyaaaaa~!!" Other maids shouted while stumbling to the ground, leaving Venessa blankly staring at Ryuk, who stood without a single stain of blood on his body.
Slowly moving towards the blonde-haired woman, Ryuk passed the now red whip to Venessa with a smile before adding.
"I told you not to hit maids like that, Lady Venessa. It is cruel."

31 Chapter 31- Babysitter of Ryuk's Girlfriends
{ A/n: Happy New Year, dear readers! May this year overflow with even more joy than the last! }
------------------------------------------
In the Orange rays of Gaia signaling the arrival of Moon, a woman with same hued eyes as those light rays moved through a long hallway.
Tap Tap
Alisia's footsteps echoed in the empty corridor as she followed closely behind a man clad in a respectful butler outfit, making way for her.
"You better not waste my time"
Hearing Alisia's firm tone, Johan slowed down before bowing and apologising," Forgive me your Majesty, It's just His highness—"
"Stop it, I understand, Lead the way", She for formality told him to lead the path though already aware of everything since the moment Ryuk went out of the palace.
Being a mother, sometime overly protective behaviour caused her to check his wellbeing from time to time and the last thing she saw while observing, was him breaking the centre statue of Goddess Fela— adding another piece of work for her to deal with.
Now, with him bringing a trouble home and being already aware of the newly brought girl's lineage and bloodline, Alisia had another issue to contend with.
"We arrived Your majesty", Johan bowed before opening the door to the room where he had placed Bella with some maids and guards.
Kriiieeek~
BANG
"You Bastards!....let me go", Suddenly a loud noise of something launching towards the door accompanied by a cursing scream reached Johan's ears.
Swiftly, he disregarded his safety and stood between Alisia and a spirit beast that had appeared before his eyes.
WHOOSH
The black beast's sharp nails were inches away from Johan's eyes, yet he gazed at it without blinking, puzzled as to why he remained unharmed.
"That's why I detest these barbarians."
A soft yet cold tone reached both Johan and the little girl inside the beast, causing their eyes to turn towards the figure slowly moving past them.
Alisia moved towards the bed where several maids and guards lay on the floor, bloodied and evidence of struggle evident in the room.
"Heal" Gradually, everyone lying down began to be shrouded in an unknown energy, their bodies starting to heal on their own.
Alisia sat on the edge of the bed, elegantly crossing one leg over the other before resting her hands on them, exuding an aura of strength and majesty—The Alisia Devereaux.
CRACKLE
Slowly, the Spirit Beast, which had been halted in mid-air by an unknown force, turned towards Alisia, slowly leaving Bella's body.
Bella was shocked, feeling her core energy being sucked out. "W-what is happening!?"
Thud
Bella fell to the floor, her wide eyes fixed on her only pillar of support in this world—her spirit Beast, now moving towards Alisia in its intact form, leaving the already shocked little girl staring with widened eyes.
Normally, a Spirit Beast of a Demi-Human was like part of their soul, born with them and meant to perish with them but now, Without any pain, her part of the soul left her body.
"Meeeooowwww~" The black panther-like beast with its amethyst eyes sat on the floor, rubbing its head against Alisia's feet.
'!?'
"I-It's impossible!" Bella shouted, her eyes teary but slowly turning red with rage.
Demi-Humans, with their extraordinary strength, would never bow their heads to anyone.
Being captured by humans was humiliating enough, but now, seeing her own spirit Beast in such a state...
"What did you do to it?!"
SWISH
Bella's voice resonated loudly with anger as she sprinted towards Alisia, determined to attack her.
Alisia, however, regarded her with a look that seemed to diminish her significance— nothing more than an Ant.
"Kneel" a soft voice emanated from Alisia's mouth, her amber eyes glimmering with orange rays.
THUD
"Kugghh...." Bella collapsed onto the ground, her front body pressed against the ground by an immense force.
It didn't injure her internally, but the pressure felt akin to being crushed under mountains.
"You're quite weak for a cat," Alisia remarked, narrowing her gaze at the pitiful girl lying on the ground while referring to usual strength possessed by Cat-kin.
She lifted her hand, gesturing for Johan and the others who had been healed to leave the room.
Johan and the rest bowed; their bodies were unscathed, and not only were their wounds healed, but their torn clothes and armor had also been restored to their original form.
HUSH
Ignoring the others, Alisia extended her hands towards Bella, causing the little girl's body to gently levitate, closing the distance between them.
Exhaustion filled Bella's eyes.
She longed to return to her mother's embrace, wishing for eternal sleep.
She had relinquished hope for her life; death seemed more serene than the struggle to survive.
'I want to die.'
Thump
Suddenly, her trance-like state shattered.
A familiar warmth enveloped her the moment she felt a touch that felt incredibly close.
"It's okay, my child. I am here." A soothing, motherly voice reached her ears, prompting tears to stream down her face after holding them back for so long. "Sniff....hic....waaaahhhh.... It w-was hard, M-mother...hic"
Alisia wrapped her arms around the now-crying little girl, understanding the mental state of a lone girl left to survive in this world.
She gently rubbed Bella's back, allowing her to release her emotions through tears.
Already aware of the race to which this girl belonged—stubborn and known to fight till death—Alisia aimed to break through the girl's stubbornness by making her experience genuine helplessness.
Even if she had to Appear Cruel to Others.
'Son, I can't always be here to babysit your girlfriends.' Alisia sighed, feeling helpless at the thought of the future awaiting the girl.
Her gaze turned towards the direction where the sharp sound of a whip had just resonated.
Disregarding whatever had occurred there, Alisia ensured no bloodstains would mar Ryuk's body.
After observing for a while, their eyes unexpectedly met, prompting a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth as she caught wind of what he had uttered.
.
"I told you not to hit maids like that, Lady Venessa. It is cruel."
Venessa's eyes remained fixated on her hand, now turned crimson due to the whip soaked in blood.
She was still trying to process everything.
Drip
The faint sound of liquid touching the ground beneath her snapped her out of her trance, causing her breath to quicken.
"Haa....haa...." Gasping for breath, her hands began to tremble, their movements growing more rapid, causing the whip to fall.
As her crimson eyes started to dim amidst the redness they had witnessed, a chilling sensation ran down her spine, followed by a guttural sound, "Blerrggg!"
Thud
Falling to the ground, she clasped her hands tightly, attempting to still their trembling.
Tears welled up in her eyes at the sight of the gruesome scene, while the metallic scent assaulting her nose only compounded her misery.
"Hic...sniff...no, I-I don't want to die," one of the maids, fallen on the ground and witnessing the bloody mess, crawled desperately, trying to escape.
She was one of the spies, just like those two maids who had been turned into a blood mist by a single whip.
"What's wrong with all of you?" Ryuk glanced at everyone's horrified faces, trembling and shivering as if they had seen a devil.
He couldn't comprehend how a child's whip could terrify them so profoundly. "Whatever."
Displaying his benevolence, Ryuk leaned in slightly to meet the tear-filled eyes of the blonde-haired woman, her body stained with blood.
He handed her a handkerchief and said, "Lady Venessa, I demand the Silvester family offer the North's Ruins as compensation for their maid's mistake."
His amber eyes flickered towards the ring adorning her finger, well aware of its true identity.
With a subtle gesture, he discreetly included a small addition—a gift meant to remind that figure to stay within her bounds.
Venessa was in a trance, her mind barely registering the situation.
She only managed to nod at Ryuk's words, which brought a satisfied smile to his face as he turned towards the maids.
Observing their trembling and fear-stricken faces, Ryuk, feeling pity, offered, "Your salaries will be increased tenfold. Before Adanyl sees this, clean up this place."
Realizing the maids were too terrified to respond, clinging to each other like frightened chickens, Ryuk left, ignoring their plight.
As he moved away, Ryuk felt content that everything had transpired as he anticipated.
Understanding Venessa's typical bargaining tendencies, he hadn't anticipated her quick agreement.
Making him disrupt her customary decision-making process by exposing her to that scene.
'!?'
Sensing an intense gaze from the Royal Palace, he turned in that direction, unable to see through the walls due to lack of power.
However, aware that someone was always watching over him, he nonchalantly shrugged and remarked, "You need to get used to babysitting, Mother "
.
.
Inside the Princess Palace, connected to the main palace,
'Should I go there myself?' Olivia kept walking restlessly in her room as she bit her nails, feeling anxious about her mother's assurance to handle Ryuk and resolve his anger toward her.
"Ughh... It's irritating." She tried to think about the reason for Ryuk to avoid her in this life, but every possibility only confused her more.
She couldn't think of him possessing past memories due to the strongest evidence she had—herself.
Olivia knew that if Ryuk had his previous life memories, then it was impossible for her to be alive right now.
This made her feel frustrated, thinking about the reason for him to act like this.
Due to many years passing by, she didn't know if at this age she had done something to spoil Ryuk's mood.
'Just leave it.' Not wanting to think much, she made her way out of the room but got interrupted by two maids who stood while bowing.
"What is the meaning of this?" Already feeling frustrated, Olivia looked towards both of the maids who tried to stop her from going outside.
"Forgive us, Your Highness, but Her Majesty had specially ordered us to not let you leave this room." The bowed maids informed her about the order they received from Venessa, who ensured no interruptions while dealing with the situation between Ryuk and Olivia.
"Let me go this instant!" Olivia burst out, feeling overwhelmed by everything going wrong, from Ryuk's aloofness to now her causing another big trouble by throwing Adanyl in the pond.
Of course, it was the maids who did this, but she also felt partly responsible for not properly educating them.
"You can't, Your Highness—" a maid persisted but was interrupted by another maid rushing in, panting and trying to relay urgent news.
"Let her go, there is a huge incident that occurred in Elysium!" Arriving after running directly here, the maid tried to inform everything as soon as possible, feeling Olivia being a support to Venessa, who was in completely turmoil.
"W-what!" Olivia swiftly moved closer, demanding more details, "Did something happen to that girl?!"
Her anxiety rose from the fact that if something happened to Adanyl, who was just declared as Crown Princess today, everything would be over for her.
"N-no, it's just... His Highness killed both maids." The maid, feeling her words stuck in her throat.
"I mean, His Highness—", tried to rectify after telling, regretting it, as even if Olivia was a princess, telling something gruesome to a child was not good.
"So?" Olivia looked at her in confusion, not understanding why this could be the reason for her arrival here on death of some mere maids and calling it a big event happening in Elysium.
'This.' All three maids present there looked towards each other, understanding that the little girl in front of them wouldn't flinch if someone was killed.
"Whatever, leave my way." Olivia, seeing the maid's blank gaze, directly sprinted towards the exit from where the maid arrived.
.
.
.
.
.
Swiftly arriving at the main palace, Venessa was brought to her bed by the maids after they cleared away the bloodstains.
Lying there, her vacant eyes remained fixed on the window, consumed by her thoughts,' What could I have accepted'
Her face formed a smile—one that reflected her own stupidity for not understanding that it was impossible for Ryuk to be in any way different from his mother, 'Both are monsters. '
Overwhelmed by everything, despite being a noblewoman accustomed to witnessing lesser bloodshed, Venessa teetered on the edge of losing her sanity.
'He's just a child!' the realization hit her hard.
Despite his young age, his unflinching eyes and the strength he possessed while taking a life made her reconsider her decisions.
"Haaa.....Haa...Mother?!" The door flung open, Olivia gasped for breath, having heard everything upon her arrival.
Concern for her mother's state, witnessing such violence, intensified her anxiety.
"My child," Venessa's eyes filled with tears upon seeing her daughter.
Everything she did was not only for revenge but also to ensure a safer future for Olivia, away from the fear of being targeted by far stronger forces like those who took her brother's life.
Venessa's pursuit of revenge was significant, yet her primary motivation remained the safety and well-being of her daughter, who had become intertwined with Ryuk, whose own mother was a killer.
In Venessa's eyes, anyone with amber eyes became synonymous with monsters—creatures responsible for the deaths of her own family.
Trusting someone with such eyes was inconceivable to her now.
"Are you alright, Mother?" Olivia approached Venessa, witnessing her mother's state far removed from that of a queen.
With a heavy heart, Olivia slowly neared her.
"Yes, I'm fine. You needn't worry. I'll handle Ry—" Venessa tried to muster a smile, defeatedly attempting to divert the conversation, understanding her daughter's concern for Ryuk.
"Forget him, Mother!" Olivia's eyes welled up with tears, seeing her mother's exhaustion.
Seated on the bed, Olivia's weary eyes reflected her self-reproach.
She despised herself for pushing Ryuk away in her previous life and now causing harm to her mother in her quest to gain his attention.
'What's the difference between who I was in the past and who I am now?' Olivia pondered silently, determined to make Ryuk communicate with her directly on his own initiative.
"O-Olivia?" Venessa looked perplexed at her daughter's sudden determination to intervene in her helping in issues with Ryuk, someone her daughter so desperately wanted to meet.
"Mother, do you have the ring I gave you?" Olivia inquired about the artifact she had given her mother, equipped with an image capturing feature.
Unable to directly communicate with Ryuk, Olivia had equipped the ring with a live image capturing function, longing to see him even from a distance.
She used her mother, who could meet him closely, to obtain a live image.
"Here," Venessa passed the ring to her determined daughter, sensing her resolve.
Slipping the ring onto her finger as a reminder of her ultimate goal, Olivia reaffirmed her determination.
Having experienced the consequences of distancing herself from this individual in her past, she vowed not to make choices she'd later regret.
Leaving the room and heading down the hallway towards her own palace, Olivia glanced at the ring on her finger before turning her gaze infront.
"I must craft additional artifacts to enhance my strength."
...
"Indeed, you must." Ryuk acknowledged, strolling towards the main palace with a smile adorning his face, pleased with the success of the changes he made to that ring.
Having already strategized for the future, he recognized the need to improve his current physical capabilities, prompting him to take some time to rest.
'Now, perhaps I should pay a bit more attention to myself'
'System..... '

32 Chapter 32- Another Variable
Bang! Bang!
"Haa... Haa... Bastards, if you have guts, then don't hide!" gasped a man in a black suit, seeking shelter against a concrete pillar after narrowly escaping gunshots.
Swiftly turning with his gun to retaliate, he heard a hollow sound.
Click Click 'Fuck,' realizing the cartridge was empty, he disregarded his gun before reaching for a knife at his knees.
"David, come here," a hushed whisper called from nearby barrels.
He turned to see his comrade, Max, lying with a shoulder wound, calling him to a safer spot.
He swiftly leaped towards the barrels.
Bang!
"Kughh?!", He felt a searing pain as a bullet pierced his thigh, though he managed to get half his body under cover.
"David!" Max, spotting the bullet in David's legs, quickly shifted to pull him further into cover.
"Ugh, David, we might not survive this time," Max looked at his comrade, who removed his suit and tore a piece to tightly wrap around his wound, staunching the bleeding.
"Max, you know, right? How many times I've said I won't die at the hands of some bastards." David turned to his comrade before reaching for the karambit knife strapped to his knees.
"You wait here, buddy. We're getting out of this damn place and enjoy some massage." With those words, David stood despite his leg wound, and sprinted toward the broken walls amid the gunfire.
Bang! Bang!
Watching David run despite his injury, Max felt a glimmer of hope that everything would be alright.
Swish
David darted through the walls, evading the gunfire directed at him, leaping forward and turning towards a ladder leading to the building's first floor.
Tap Tap
Upon entering the building, a dozen armed men followed, leaving behind the already injured Max.
"Where's Code 0?" one of the men asked, using a flashlight to scan the dark room beside him, pointing his gun cautiously.
"He's here," a voice suddenly called out, making the man turn, but before he could react completely.
SCHLKT! Bang! "Kugghh!... Thud."
With a slashed neck and a silenced gunshot, the man fell, alerting others who rushed in that direction.
David, having dealt with one of the assailants, noticed another arriving.
Taking advantage of the darkness, he zigzagged towards the newcomer, dodging gunfire.
Bang! Bang!
SCHLKT
"AggGh!....Thud." With each move, he dispatched his pursuers, triggering a chain reaction as more came, and utilizing his superior visibility, David took down each one of them.
Bang! Bang!
The entire night resounded with gunshots and the screams of assailants meeting their end, unable to touch the man known as the special Agent, Code 0.
.....
"Is it over?" Max, hearing the gunshots cease and sensing approaching footsteps, already knew that his comrade had, as usual, eliminated all the assailants.
A smile formed on his face as he lifted himself, gripping a knife to finish the job.
Slowly, he moved toward the silhouette covered in bloodstains, recognizing it as David.
"Max, let's go. We've taken care of them," David said, going to support his stumbling comrade.
Both, despite their wounds, moved away from that place.
"Hey David, you know what I'm about to say, right?", Wrapping his arms around his shoulder, Max asked with a smile.
While they moved forward, David, anticipating Max's usual words, preemptively repeated, "Yeah, yeah, your usual spiel about feeling jealous of me and how you...!? "
SCHLKT!
David's gaze slowly lowered to his ribs, where a knife had pierced through, before turning towards Max who finished his sentence.
"How I feel inferior to you and how everything would have been better if not for you. Die, you bastard!" Max forcefully twisted the knife before kicking David to the ground.
"Kughh!... Y-you?" Fallen on the ground, David slowly looked at Max, who had just stabbed him and was looking down at him.
"Yes, you fucker. How do you think there's still no backup arrived yet?" Slowly bending his knees, Max sat on the ground, gazing at the widened eyes of the man who had become nothing but a hurdle in his life.
He had been perfect, excelling in everything as if the heavens favored him—always the top ranker.
But then, this man entered his life.
For the first time, he felt inferior to someone.
Sitting on his toes with folded knees, he swirled the knife, observing David's struggle. "Oh, you're wondering why you can't stop your bleeding even using Med-T."
As a member of the special division, agents were provided with a medicine to swiftly form blood clots upon contact with oxygen, instantly stopping their bleeding.
"How far you've fallen.....Ughh!" David realized he was not only stabbed but also poisoned.
"See, that's why I hate you. Pretty smart, but let me tell you, this is Russell Viper's poison." With those words, Max, moving the knife, inflicted another cut, seeing David groan in pain, a smile formed on his face.
"Hahahaha, it hurts, right?" he laughed heartily with a twisted grin, witnessing how much the person he despised was finally going to leave him alone, before continuing, "It's a pity you're going to die this way, David. Pffftt."
Click
Suddenly, a sound made Max's face freeze in its place as he slowly turned towards the man who had a pin in his mouth, slowly understanding what it was, his face contorted.
"You remember how many times I said I am not going to die at the hands of some bastard "
Upon seeing the smile on David's face, Max swiftly lowered his gaze only to discover a grenade beneath his legs, accompanied by another remark from David.
"Fuck you Asshole!, Let your ass be burn—"
BOOOOOOOOOM!
Beeeeeeep!
A loud sound accompanied with a light, left Max's eyes blinded by the bright light before the searing heat enveloped his body from beneath with his ears ringing violently.
...
Before a voice pulled him out of his misery.
『 Child 』
'?!'
That voice seemed to hold a different type of energy, causing Max to slowly remove his hands and look towards that direction.
All Max's eyes could see was a very bright light, causing him to use his hands to cover his eyes.
"Who are you?" Max gritted his teeth, already understanding that just a moment ago, a grenade had detonated on his butt, and now he found himself hearing some unknown voices.
『 You don't need to know about us. Just remember to kill him. 』
Feeling confused about the unfolding events, Max, irritated with everything, inquired, "Who are you talking about?"
『 You will recognize him. His presence will overshadow yours, making you identify him at first glance. 』
"Don't give me these damn riddles. Just be clear— Kuuggghh!"
Before Max could try to understand the whole situation, he felt a force pushing him backward from an unknown height.
He could only hear some words before falling.
『 Fela, Would he be able to deal with Ruken's son? 』
Those words faded as he fell into an endless depth, prompting only screams.
"Aaaaaahhhhhhh!"
.....
"AaaaHhhh...."
"Haa....haa...", Suddenly, two emerald eyes snapped open before the young boy sat up on his bed.
"Y-young Master Edward!"
A voice caused him to turn towards a servant who looked at him in surprise before running away from the room to call for others.
'Ughh.' Sitting on his bed, Edward clenched his head as memories of his previous life slowly started to resurface. 'Am I Edward or Max?'
"T-this?" His eyes turned towards his right, feeling pain, only to see a severed arm wrapped in bandages.
"N-no, my arm!" Edward shouted, feeling the shock of his missing limb, as memories of that night started flooding his mind.
Thud
He fell from the bed as he tried to lift his body from it.
"Ah, Why can't I walk?"
He felt as if there was no energy left in his body; it felt like he was paralyzed.
BANG
The room's door swung open, revealing a man with blonde hair and the same emerald eyes.
"Edward!" Swiftly moving towards the boy, the man lifted him up and settled him back onto the bed. He continued, "Are you fine, my nephew?"
"Where is that bastard!" Edward shouted, remembering an amber-eyed boy cutting his hand off while mocking him, making his anger surge.
"W-who?" Augustus felt confused, seeing Edward gritting his teeth while clenching his cloth as he inquired about someone.
"That amber-eyed bastard!" Edward shouted, wanting to tear down the boy who dared to touch him.
He didn't know why his memories returned after losing his hand, but now, he wanted nothing but to shred that boy into pieces.
"Edward!...Control your mouth!" Augustus shouted before standing, making Edward feel surprised, not understanding the sudden reaction.
It had been a few days since he arrived in this place after being protected by this man who claimed to be his uncle.
But due to his body not working properly, he could only hear things and nothing else.
From what he gathered, he came to know that he was an Abernathy, albeit without many details, as he had always been in a coma while this man visited him, making him understand the attachment this man had with him.
"S-sorry?" But now, seeing that frown on the man's face, Edward couldn't understand what wrong he had said.
Seeing Edward's expression, Augustus's anger slowly subsided, realizing the potential impact of his words.
Recognizing it as his first mistake, he warned him, "Don't mention that kid until you're over twelve years old, or there will be consequences."
'What the hell,' Edward, already feeling overwhelmed by memories that should have surfaced since birth instead of when he lost his hands, felt even more agitated by everything.
Understanding that he needed the support of the man who had saved him, he conceded, "I-i Understand, forgive me, Uncle."
Augustus, upon hearing Edward's response, felt calmer.
Observing Edward's attempts to move his paralyzed legs without success, he explained the situation Edward was facing.
"I've sought the help of specialized healers. Your legs will recover in a few days, but your hand..." Augustus trailed off, his eyes narrowing in confusion about the energy that had drained mana entirely from Edward's body, leaving even his mana vessel dry causing him to get paralysed.
Though they can heal his other body parts but that energy concentration is higher on his hand.
"Don't tell me it can't be healed," Edward's eyes widened as he looked at the man, who shook his head before continuing, "Your hand was severed by something with mana-suppressing properties, rendering any healing ineffective."
'That bastard did it intentionally!' Realization dawned on Edward, understanding that his sudden kidnapping by someone who first calmly requested his company and then forcefully brought him to a dungeon resulted in a boy his age, cutting off his hand.
Observing Edward lost in deep thought, Augustus continued, "Nephew, don't worry. There are far better prosthetic hands available that can surpass the capabilities of your own."
'Sigh, at least there's still hope.' Edward felt slightly relieved knowing that he still had a chance to recover.
But then, he gritted his teeth, clenched his fist, and vowed.
'I will kill you one day, you bastard!'

'What can I expect from an Idiot'
Ryuk looked toward the system's window that suddenly popped out:

╚═══━━━──── • ─────━━━═══╝
'So, Heaven is compensating his son like this.' Ryuk looked at the system's window, a smile forming on his face as he understood that things were becoming interesting.
He continued moving toward the main palace, not feeling overwhelmed by the revelation about Edward.
Having already accepted such occurrences when he decided to make these individual's lives hell.
Ryuk knew Heaven wouldn't remain passive and would try to compensate in some way.
Just like how Maria, influenced by the Demon Seed, suddenly awakened her Divine Energy and became a saintess, advancing her status sooner than expected.
And now, Edward, facing a setback due to losing his arm, received an overpowered perk: past life memories.
Having memories from a previous life in this world might seem insignificant, where the laws of nature were entirely different. However, given enough time, it could become overpowered.
Similar to how Ryuk adapted to a child's body and focused on self-improvement, it was evident that Edward's growth would also accelerate significantly.
However, it wouldn't reach a level where Ryuk needed to fear him.
By severing his hand, Ryuk had ensured that no future variables would stand in his way.
Instead of concerning himself with a handicapped prodigy possessing memories from a past life, he decided to focus on his own improvement.

33 Chapter 33- A drama Indeed
Inside the prince's palace, a small girl was walking down the long hallway in a maid's outfit.
Alia moved through the extended corridor on her way to work.
"Hey, have you heard about the Prince being possessed by a demon?"
Suddenly halting, Alia heard maids murmuring ahead and slowly moved toward them.
"Yes, he is possessed by a devil," one of the maids whispered, referencing the recent event where the crown prince mercilessly killed two maids.
"What did you just say?"
'!?'
Startled, both maids turned towards a little girl with sapphire eyes and short silver hair.
Seeing a little girl they felt somewhat Relieved for not getting caught.
"It's not like we are lying or something, you are still a child to u-nd-.....Kheeukkk?! " Before the maid could finish her sentence, her breath got stuck.
Thud
"Kyaa~!!"
Another maid fell to the ground, witnessing a water ball forming on the other maid's head, causing suffocation.
"Ah, my legs?!"
The fallen maid suddenly felt paralyzed; it seemed as if she couldn't move.
Both maids could only watch as the little girl moved towards them.
"If not for my current status, I would have killed both of you," Alia's cold voice reached them, horror filling their faces before she turned to leave.
SWOOSH
"S-to-p....Cough!...Haa..haa." The water ball on the maid's face suddenly vanished, making her struggle for breath before collapsing on her knees with teary eyes that had just witnessed death.
Ignoring them, Alia continued towards her work, her mind filled with various thoughts, the major one being a recollection of the maid's words.
Those words had triggered a very familiar memory that resurfaced, compelling her to use her abilities.
Alia possessed complete control over water Essence.
Although, from a normal perspective, control over water might not seem overpowered, being a heroine, her control surpassed to the point that manipulation of bodily fluids like blood was the least of her strength.
Her absolute control over this element allowed her to handle it at an atomic level, manipulating the very essence of fluids.
This ability enabled her to alter the very properties of any liquid by changing the bonds between atoms from weak Vander waal Forces to strong Nuclear forces, causing her crystalline ice to reach the hardness of a diamond.
But the point remained: how was Alia, from this world, aware of forces like Nuclear or Van der Waals?
Then, all credit goes to Ryuk Von Selvius.
Being with her since childhood, Ryuk taught her the complete way to utilize her abilities, enabling her to control and understand her abilities much faster than others due to personal guidance from a genius.
While walking, those words of the maid reverberated in her mind repeatedly, making her realize that she was also one of the people who called Ryuk being possessed by a demon.
Since the time he started telling her about ways to utilize her abilities, she started to realize how much knowledge a seven-year-old kid held.
The problem was the fact that this knowledge was uncommon in this world, making her doubt if he was possessed by something otherworldly.
Slowly, from being interested to bewildered, and then to fear—this was the transition phase she went through until reaching 25 years of her life.
But even these thoughts were not enough to make her betray him, 'I will make sure to kill you Dia—'
"Hey, Alia." The voice broke her out of her thoughts. Turning towards that direction, she saw the head maid approaching her.
"You need to go to the Princess's palace now." The head maid hurriedly informed Alia about being called by Olivia.
'Why is she calling me?' Alia felt confused, not understanding the reason for Olivia to call her when they don't even know each other in this life.
"I will go then." Alia moved towards the direction of the palace while thinking about the reasons for which she could be called, 'Does she have past life memories too?' Several doubts arose in her mind, but not wanting to delve into something she was not sure about, she kept moving.
.....
Inside the princess's palace, the scene differed from other's expectations.
Instead of going to the prince's palace to talk or something, the princess was relentlessly pacing inside her room while biting her nails, clearly in a state of agitation.
'Is the princess angry?' One of the maids thought, noticing Olivia's unusual expression that differed from her usual demeanor.
Krieeeek
The door slowly opened, drawing everyone's attention towards it.
They saw a little girl with sapphire eyes standing before them.
Alia bowed while clutching her dress in noble's Etiquette "Greetings, Your Highness. I was informed abou—"
"Everyone, leave," Olivia interrupted Alia, commanding the others to exit the room.
While still in a greeting position, Alia understood that Olivia would likely ask her to stay away from Ryuk, as she had done before.
In the previous life, at this age, Olivia had begun summoning her to the palace to warn her to stay away from Ryuk.
Alia couldn't comprehend how Olivia could do that when she was appointed by Her Majesty herself as His higness's personal maid.
Gradually, Alia began paying less attention to Olivia's warnings because they became increasingly unbearable, evolving from mere maid to using terms like commoner and filth in her words.
After everyone left, Alia anticipated what was about to happen. 'She will call me a mere maid at fir—'
"Alia, I want a favour from you."
'!?'
'This was unexpected,' Alia thought upon hearing those words from Olivia.
It was the least she expected, especially her asking for help. 'Is she trying to ask for my help to talk with Ryuk?' Alia couldn't fathom the whole situation and attempted to inquire, "I-I don't understand, Your Highness."
"Alia, I can help you awaken your powers," Olivia said, folding her hands as she looked at Alia.
She understood that now was the time to use her past life knowledge to gather these powerful individuals and gain loyal supporters.
Although this strategy was efficient in securing loyalty, there was a slight problem—the girl in question was different.
'Is she for real?' Alia turned to look at Olivia, who stood confidently, as if she had formulated a master plan.
Alia quickly deduced that Olivia was aware of her possessing powers and had knowledge about her.
Alia was certain that Olivia could never have calculated the possibility of her possessing something like that; it felt more like Olivia knew.
Everything pointed to one conclusion—'She has past life memories too.'
Despite wanting to tell Olivia that she, too, possessed past life memories, Alia stopped herself.
Calmly assessing the whole situation, She understood that Olivia was just like her, possessing memories of a past life.
From Olivia's approach, it was clear she was unaware that she also had these memories.
'Are others the same, too?' A doubt arose in Alia's mind.
There could be a chance for other women to have these memories too, causing her to clench her fist as she remembered one of them, someone who had been involved in the destruction of her life.
'Don't tell me Ryuk, too.' Alia's pupils dilated with anxiety.
Although she had observed something amiss from his usual behaviour these days but there was still a sense of confusion.
Unlike these maids who saw a young Ryuk acting like an adult, Alia had become accustomed to his behavior from previous life, which caused her to neglect the fact that his actions were unlike a child's.
Familiarity with his ways played a significant role in preventing Alia from doubting him.
'If she really has memories then,' Alia saw a glimmer of hope.
It was hope to use Olivia as a ladder to achieve what she desired.
Alia was nothing but a mere maid but Olivia..
She belonged to royalty, and her maternal family were Dukes, possessing enough power to sponsor her ambitions.
Unlike commoners, Alia didn't seek noble titles or superficial distinctions; what she craved was strength.
Her ability and It's understanding had allowed her to grow much stronger than in her previous life, but witnessing the events of that day on the battlefield, made her realize she needed to become even stronger.
'I need to become strong enough,' she thought, desiring to reach a level where she could stand shoulder to shoulder with Ryuk.
And to achieve that, she needed the source of her energy — Elemental Stones.
In the Heindal Continent, Mana mines existed, producing Mana Crystals used as energy sources for magic circles or artifacts.
These crystals contained dense amounts of mana, enough to open teleportation gates to other kingdoms, showcasing their immense power.
However, within these same mines lay another energy source — Elemental Stones.
Unlike the shiny, lustrous glow of Mana Crystals, these stones had a rough appearance and were often discarded as mere pebbles.
Little did many know, these stones had the ability to enhance one's elemental affinity.
Alia knew that at present, no one was aware of the existence of Elemental Stones.
Until Ryuk discovered their properties in his research, it would remain impossible for others to know.
But Olivia might be aware of them, prompting Alia to calmly contemplate everything.
"But do I really have some power, Your Highness?" Alia feigned ignorance, pretending to examine her hands, not wanting to raise any suspicion.
This gesture seemed to satisfy Olivia before she moved towards her table.
"Yes, you have that power, and I can help you with that," Olivia stated as she moved towards her drawer, retrieving a rock engraved with a small water droplet marking—a pebble-like object.
"Here, check for yourself," Olivia handed the Elemental Stone to Alia.
Then, she took out a small ring-like Artifact, tossing it onto the floor and creating an illusion that enveloped the area.
This precautionary measure was to prevent others from discovering the stone's abilities, confirming her control over this young girl, whom she planned to use extensively before discarding.
Olivia's intentions were clear; she needed Alia's help to grow stronger until Ryuk himself began to approach her.
After that, Olivia was determined not to let anyone, especially the other women, touch a single strand of Ryuk's hair.
Unlike in her past life, she would not struggle for his attention.
This time, she vowed to become powerful enough for Ryuk to seek her out, recognizing her true worth and realizing how valuable she truly was.
WHOOSH
The moment Alia's hand made contact with the stone, it began glowing brightly in a resonating blue light, aligning perfectly with her elemental affinity.
It was an Aqua Elemental Stone, exactly what she desired.
Without any hesitation, she started absorbing its essence, causing cracks to form on the stone.
CRACK
In a matter of seconds, the stone shattered into pieces.
"S-See, this is what I was telling you," Olivia looked on in confusion as she witnessed Alia suddenly absorbing the stone's energy.
Initially expecting the stone to merely resonate with Alia's body's energy affinity, Olivia was surprised to see her absorb the energy.
Though unexpected to some extent, Olivia didn't dwell on it much.
"Y-Your Highness!" Alia swiftly lifted her gaze towards Olivia, sprinting towards her and clasping her hands between hers.
"W-What?!" Startled by Alia's sudden action, Olivia couldn't comprehend what had just happened before hearing Alia's words, "Thank you, Your Highness. You are just as His Highness described, a kind-hearted and merciful fairy."
'Did you really think I would fall for this again?' Olivia was accustomed to hearing similar flattery from everyone who attempted to manipulate her, be it servants or maids.
'As expected from you,' Alia noticed Olivia's expression, betraying her thoughts while trying to suppress her smile, felt satisfied.
"Leave my hands," Olivia, feeling uncomfortable with a mere maid—though it was Alia, whom she knew better than others—slowly withdrew her hands.
"F-Forgive me, Your Highness." Alia bowed in apology, both of them harboring different thoughts about each other.
"You can leave for now." Olivia ordered Alia, not wishing to spend more time with her as she was already reaching her limit.
Before Alia left, Olivia added, "You need to regularly come here to obtain these stones."
Olivia had decided to provide Alia with the stones regularly instead of in bulk, intending to extract information about Ryuk while also ensuring Alia's loyalty.
'Just for some time,' Alia heard Olivia's words and narrowed her eyes, comprehending the motives behind them.
Despite her discomfort, she kept it to herself, acknowledging that she currently had a use for Olivia.
"I understand, Your Highness," she replied before leaving the room.
As Alia departed, Olivia kept her gaze fixed on her disappearing figure, slowly fading into the hallway.
She reached for a handkerchief on the table to clean her hands, murmuring to herself
"Guess, I need to bathe again."
.
.
.
.
'Are they playing some kind of drama or something?'
"Leave me, You Bastard!"
Ryuk snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing a voice from beneath him.
He turned to see a little girl with caramel hair and two furry ears, struggling as he pressed her down on the floor.
"But weren't you the one who told me that you would not leave me?" Ryuk referred to the time when this girl had jumped on him while warning about not letting him go unscathed now.
"Ughh... Y-you're dead once I free myself!" Bella, unable to look at Ryuk, gritted her teeth in humiliation as he calmly sat on her body with folded legs.
"So, Mother, what were you saying?" Ignoring the girl who had attacked him upon his entrance, Ryuk turned to look at his mother, Alisia, who sat on the bed with her chin supported by her legs.
"Ryuk, don't pretend you didn't hear me," Alisia narrowed her eyes at Ryuk, who feigned confusion, prompting her to repeat herself, "Tell me, how did both of them become so proficient in their abilities?"
Present inside the palace, Alisia found it impossible not to notice Alia using her ability to harm some maids, despite partially understanding that it might be due to Alia inheriting her mother's bloodline, causing her ability to awaken sooner.
However, the issue lay with Olivia.
Olivia's ability was rooted in learning and experience.
The more artifacts she built, the more her ability improved.
This puzzled Alisia, especially when she witnessed the girl using an Illusion artifact—of course, it was useless against her.
"Because they are prodigies," Ryuk stated the obvious, maintaining his posture to conceal any further information from Alisia.
Alisia, observing her child, noticed how Ryuk seemed to have changed in just a few days.
'Your child is just like you, Ruken.' She couldn't help but see similarities between him and the personality of someone else,' Hiding things from me.'
"Now, leave her," Alisia commanded Ryuk, who then turned his attention to the exhausted girl lying flat on the floor.
"Are you dead?" Ryuk slowly stood, trying to tease Bella.
"Sniff....hic...You're all e-evil people," Bella burst into tears once again, feeling helpless before the son and mother duo. 'I want to go home.'
From being chased by unknown pursuers to escaping to this continent, then being kidnapped by cultists and having her blood extracted daily for rituals — Bella found her situation unbearable.
"You made her cry again," Alisia reproached the lying girl before looking at her.
SWISH
Slowly, Bella's body lifted and fell into Alisia's embrace. "It's okay, I told you to stay away from him."
"S-sob.....sniff," Bella wrapped her arms around Alisia, clinging to her like a koala, her tears gradually subsiding.
Before departing, Alisia reminded Ryuk.
"Your training will begin tomorrow."

Six years later.....
In the Selvius Kingdom, the Main Royal Palace, unlike its usual bustling self, stood completely barren.
There were no maids gossiping or the sounds of footsteps echoing within its premises.
Passed time left little impact on the outer walls of the palace as the seasons cycled from spring to summer and fall to winter, repeating this process six times.
Seasons carried numerous stories but witnessed few changes.
Days passed in a regular schedule, with nobles seeking aid and occasional bustling activities here and there.
Within this time frame, the epicenter of activity had shifted from the Main Palace to the Training Ground.
Approaching it, which was now filled with several people gathered to witness their present ruler and the future one engage in their regular training activity which had become a norm.
"Isn't that a real sword?" one of the maids, observing an Amber-eyed boy holding a metal sword, felt confused, not understanding its significance in the training against Her Majesty, Alisia Von Selvius.
"Shhhh, quiet and go bring that pineapple cake here," another maid silenced her colleague, prioritizing the task of serving someone special over observing the training arena.
"Just give me a minute!" the maid swiftly sprinted to fetch the Pineapple Cake from the Royal Kitchen.
Seeing the disappearing maid's back, the other maid turned her attention to the center figure of this place.
It was definitely not His Highness or Her Majesty but a ten-year-old girl surrounded by several maids, attending to her needs.
Sitting on a lavish chair, her Ruby eyes reflecting the numerous food items from cake to small chocolate fountain while several maids stood at her service, fitting for the future Crown Princess—Adanyl Von Selvius.
'Stop it, you idiots!' Adanyl screamed in her mind, trying to evade several maids who insisted on feeding her various things, already feeling frustrated due to their increased care ever since she was officially declared Crown Princess.
"Don't tell me, is it Raspberry?" Taking a spoon full of pastry, feeling delighted Adanyl rubbed her cheeks savouring the flavour while lost in her thought before realizing how she again fell into their tricks, 'I need to ban this maid!'
Adanyl's eyes turned towards the girl beside her with only one maid standing by her side. Seeing how Bella was safe, Adanyl felt jealous, "Tch, you are very lucky, Bella."
Bella's Amethyst eyes were fixed on the battle in front of her.
Hearing Adanyl's regular words, she felt disturbed and turned towards the girl who was preparing her mouth for another bite,"You are acting frustrated while eating like a pig."
"W-what!?" Adanyl interrupted, swiftly turning towards the caramel-haired girl sitting calmly on the chair with a composed expression while deeply observing the fight.
"Did you just call—" Before she could protest, a loud sound pulled her attention.
BOOOOM!
'Is he again trying that,' Bella's eyes reflected an eleven-year-old boy standing amidst the broken platform.
"You need to do much better than this, child," Alisia looked at her son, whose growth had far surpassed any geniuses of this continent.
Though she expected more, it was a relief that her son was not a monster with unfathomable strength, which an heir of Devereaux needed, and a relief she could always be here.
" I am doing my best," Ryuk looked at her with a genuine expression, not understanding how it was possible for him to hide anything from his mother.
SWISH
Suddenly, his figure blurred before closing meters of distance within a millisecond, his body shrouded in an amber aura while hands in amethyst.
"Again," a smile formed on Alisia's face seeing his futile struggle, her hand folded behind, a glint passing through her amber eyes.
In that mere moment where the world seemed to freeze, Alisia vanished, directly appearing behind Ryuk before her delicate finger tapped on his back.
BOOOM!
Ryuk's figure directly got smashed on the ground, causing the ground to be pushed down several inches.
Narrowing her eyes, Alisia found something amiss before swiftly brought her hand forward to block a sword aimed at her face.
SCREECH
The blade being pressed between Alisia's thumb and forefinger, shrouded in Amber mana, slowly started to get bent due to her sheer strength, causing the metal to create a sharp sound.
"As expected of you, Mother. You are faster."
Hearing Ryuk's words, Alisia turned her eyes towards the floor where just a moment ago, she had thrown him but found noone. 'Again this trick.'
Slowly turning towards her son, who had grown in six years enough to attack his mother with the intent to kill, her face formed a smile adding, "As expected of you, son. Attacking your own mother."
"When?" Ryuk feigned confusion, not understanding how his move, which was nothing in front of her, could be considered as an attack.
{ Ryuk's Present Illustration}
Tap. tap.
A man entered the training ground, drenched in sweat, swiftly moving towards the platform before bowing in front of Alisia.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty, but there are some Bishops from Goddess Fela's religion," the man informed about the arrival of people from the now widely accepted religion of the Heindal Continent.
Within the period of six years, after the emergence of Saintess Marianne, several kingdoms accepted it as their state religion except Selvius Kingdom, which declared the whole religion as cultist.
Though everyone expected the end of the entire Selvius kingdom within just a year due to their announcement but major heads like Priest Kermit and even Saintess Marianne seemed to keep their silence on this matter, except for some small kingdoms who tried to declare the whole Selvius Royal family as tyrants.
The word should be heretics instead of tyrants, but due to fear of becoming meat pulp, no one seemed to use it.
It was widely known throughout the continent that a year ago, several nobles from neighboring kingdoms were found dead in their mansions with missing limbs after their previous statements about Queen Alisia being a heretic.
However, there still existed some people who tried to use this as an opportunity to establish the religion inside the Selvius Kingdom, which had completely banished the whole religion beyond their boundaries.
After the Crown Prince broke the Idol of Goddess Fela, there was a small struggle due to retaliation from her devotees, but everything subsided the moment it was revealed that the Crown Prince did all this to awaken the Saintess.
'What are they here for?' Alisia turned to look towards the direction of the palace, her gaze easily penetrating any obstacles before falling on three cloaked figures.
'I see.' Alisia moved out of the platform before turning towards Ryuk, who was also about to follow her. "Stop here."
Hearing that, he calmly nodded before observing Alisia's disappearing figure through the training hall's exit.
'System,' Ryuk commanded, turning his eyes towards the window, which had been warning him since the battle began.

The window kept warning him to control his energy, which was on the verge of breaking the restrictions Ryuk had applied to his body.
While fighting, aware of his body's primary disadvantage—physical strength—he added additional weight to his body.
Instead of simply stopping his senses, he malfunctioned them, causing his ears, eyes, and all other senses to give him wrong information; his actions were solely based on instinct.
Though from a normal perspective, it seems impossible for anyone to achieve such a feat, it wasn't for someone whose body was, in itself, a walking killing machine.
Ryuk Von Selvius was an Emperor considered a tyrant, not only due to his unjustifiable actions but also because of his valor in battle—an instinct to anticipate an arrow coming from the left and discern the weakest opponent among present— something what some people referred to as Battle Instincts.
Ryuk would have found it amusing from his original world's perspective, hearing tales of ancient kings swinging a 50kg sword or covering 70km on horseback in an hour.
But now he knew, the human body far surpassed the already fixed norms, and in this world, it shattered the perspective of human senses.
Making him want to reach the limit of his human body, yet he still felt that somehow his body didn't seem to have what people call a bottleneck.
Even in his past life, he kept reaching new heights without ever feeling he had reached his limits.
Now, after intense training for these years, he had an answer—Devereaux Bloodline.
'How much time will it take to form the first circle?' he inquired about his Ether Core, which had formed two years ago, causing his mana to become denser and more enormous in amount.
But he needed to reach the last cycle of it to utilize its full potential, while it contained total five circles.

As he turned to leave the training ground, both Adanyl and Bella swiftly stood to follow behind him.
"What's with you guys?" Feeling confused at both of them following him, he inquired.
"Her Majesty said to always keep an eye on you," Adanyl told him, referring to the instructions she had received from Alisia.
Upon hearing Adanyl's words, he immediately understood that his mother's instructions were solely intended to irritate him and prevent him from getting involved with her.
Four years ago, he had checked Adanyl's bloodline name after his system reached second level, which clarified that Adanyl belonged to the family his mother wanted him to avoid— Tenebri Family.
He would have kept his distance from Adanyl, but he required her assistance after learning about the abilities associated with that bloodline.
He turned towards Bella, "And what about you?"
"Do I need a reason to follow you?" Bella averted her gaze, already contemplating a way to deal with the people who had arrived to meet Alisia.
"Whatever, just don't go killing nobles around the kingdom," Ryuk blankly looked at her, referring to the incident where, after some noblemen referred to Selvius Kingdom's Royal Family as Heretics, she had killed all of them overnight.
"....", Bella seeing him felt frustrated, wanting nothing more than to beat him but already knowing end result controlled herself,' Just you wait'
Getting no response he moved out of the training ground to take bath, while his aim was different but seeing how both followed behind him, he just needed to get rid of one of them — Bella iliaas.
She had started to refer her with that title like that after three years of arriving here, though her explaintion for taking this title was random but Ryuk knew, that title was nothing but name of his Mother in jumbled form.
An another reason to not go easy on her— she needs to be more align towards him not his mother.
Moving inside the long hallway Ryuk arrived inside his room while both of them had already left since the moment he had called maids to prepare for bath.
'System, Isolate the space and use all kill points to heal my heart the moment it destroys', Commanding he sat in Lotus form, focussing his brain towards creating the first cycle by forcing himself.

Suddenly, a transparent black dome shrouded the space surrounding Ryuk.
The enlarging shape became ten meters in radius before halting.
"Phew," exhaling deeply, Ryuk's mind solely focused on his heart before moving towards mana veins, while sitting in that position.
Time slowly passed, each second feeling like hours to him.
Drip
Disturbing the room's tranquility was a crimson drop trickling down his mouth before falling on the floor.
As Gaia's rays fell on his face, they accentuated its details, making the blood dripping from the corner of his lips vividly visible.
The entire process caused unbearable pain, its sheer intensity pushing the limits that could break anyone but him.
'Not enough,' slowly guiding the Ether—a form of mana—to his heart, a type of energy unsuitable for use inside the body.
Slowly, his veins bulged on forehead, the green nerves becoming visible beneath his closed eyes, each of them evident of the intense pain rapidly reaching new heights.
"Ughh," a small sound escaped, yet the pain was tremendous—thousands of burning needles piercing his flesh, finding their way towards his heart in the form of ether.
His body endured the agony, veins reconstructed by an intense energy resonating within every cell.
badump
"Khuekk!" Ryuk's eyes widened, feeling his heart burst from not being able to contain the newly formed circle.
Thud
His body fell to the floor, his head hitting the tiles as his eyes slowly started to loose their amber hues.

Feeling the heartbeat, he fallen on the floor, utterly exhausted from the pain he had endured.
The redness in his amber eyes and the pink hue on his face were evident signs of the agony he had just endured.
BANG!
Suddenly, the room's door burst open, flinging them to a distance due to the force that had opened them.
"YOU IDIOT!"

Inside the Guest room of Selvius Kingdom's main royal palace, the atmosphere was remarkably calm and peaceful.
Drip
A small drop of sweat fell from the forehead of a man on the floor, shattering the room's tranquility.
"Add some sugar in it," Alisia said, taking a sip of her tea. Slowly, she placed the cup on the table before turning her gaze toward the three people.
The trio sat on the ground, their faces filled with horror while drenched in sweat.
Their now crimson, tear-filled eyes reflected the image of a woman sitting elegantly on the sofa, savoring her tea.
"P-please f-forgive us, Y-your Majesty," one of them stuttered, struggling to speak, already feeling his heart beating rapidly, desperate to escape this place.
"And what is your mistake?" Alisia interlocked her fingers and leaned forward before placing them on her folded knees, fixing her gaze on the trio who had overstepped their bounds.
Hearing her question, the man with pink hair seated on the ground recalled their first crime, ".....We posed ourselves as paladins, hiding our true identities"
His eyes remained fixed on the floor tiles, harboring the horror he had just experienced, known only to himself.
The second man in the middle quivered as he tried to recall their second crime, "...We are from Aidiac Kingdom's Marquess Family."
Tears welled in the man's eyes, mirroring his helplessness.
His fear of being killed here was evident, not for himself but for his daughter. He dreaded what might happen to her if he were to die in this place.
Their act was a crime as they hailed from an enemy kingdom and had infiltrated the royal palace of the Selvius Kingdom while disguised.
"And the very special one," Alisia's gaze turned towards the last man, observing his slow movement as his hand reached for a locket around his neck.
WHOOSH
Gradually, the figure of the third individual began to transform.
The illusion that veiled him, taking the form of a man, started to disintegrate.
Aware of the formidable strength of the being before him, he deactivated his facade.
{ Celestian's Present Illustration}
The illusion faded away, unveiling a ten-year-old child with pink hair and crystal blue eyes, kneeling on the floor.
Slowly, the child's gaze lifted toward Alisia, who patiently awaited the youngster's response.
"I shouldn't have changed my appearance." Those now teary eyes locked with Amber ones, which held nothing, neither mercy nor pity, fitting for Alisia Von Selvius.
"Give me a reason that I should not kill you," Alisia, disregarding the little child who still concealed his true appearance behind a facade which was irrelevant for her, she turned toward the middle-aged man beside him.
At Alisia's gaze, the man's eyes trembled. He had already heard of the Ruthlessness of the Queen of Selvius Kingdom, and seeing her in person intensified everything.
Preparing himself for what might be considered a humiliating act, he bit his lip and clenched his fist before swiftly moving his head forward.
Thud
"Please help me!" The man swiftly kowtowed, his head colliding with the floor tiles, the sound indicating the sincerity he held.
He might have been a Marquess, residing third in the hierarchy after the King and Duke, but at that moment, he was just a desperate father, having ventured onto enemy territory solely to protect his daughter's life.
"Why would I?" Alisia calmly stated, studying their faces. She understood their fear didn't just stem from this moment; it was rooted in their prior knowledge of her.
Letting her understand that these individuals were in dire need, seeking help from her, even being already aware of her methods to handle such situations.
Though their tears and helplessness might have melted other's hearts but not her.
She was well aware that showing pity to others was a sin in this world.
Upon hearing her words, a glimmer of hope flickered across their faces, as they thought maybe they had a chance to negotiate or bargain.
The Marquess was the first to put forth his offer, "Everything I have, from gold to every mines under me"
His smiling face betrayed his helplessness, casting aside every bit of self-respect. A man of noble standing in such a situation was truly inconceivable.
But as the saying goes, when one loves someone dearly, self-respect becomes the last thing one cares about.
Alisia slowly lifted the cup, taking a sip after the maid had added some sugar a moment ago.
"Aren't you from the Reinguard family?" Turning toward the individuals, she spoke.
"Y-yes, Your Majesty, we are," another man beside the Marquess excitedly spoke, hoping their combat abilities might increase their chances of receiving aid.
"Heh, you can't even afford to feed your own citizens and yet talk about giving everything to me," Alisia, already aware of the Reinguard estate's condition, felt amused at their offering of a barren piece of land.
"W-we," both men realized they had nothing substantial to offer her.
They turned their heads down, nervousness gripping them as they anticipated the consequences if they didn't receive help from the Queen of Selvius Kingdom.
The child, witnessing his uncle and father in such a state, felt tears welling up but suppressed them, not wanting to reveal weakness. Instead, he turned towards Alisia.
"I can become your slave."
"Celes?!" Hearing his son's words, the Marquess swiftly moved between him and Alisia.
The Queen's eyes widened for some unknown reason, and interpreting it as greed, the Marquess acted quickly.
"Your Majesty, Celestian is a child. Please don't consider—kughhh?! " Before he could finish his plea, an unseen force silenced him, lifting him into the air abruptly.
"Umph... Yo... Majes..." Despite being restrained and lifted off the ground, he struggled to speak as he watched Alisia slowly rise from her seat, a sense of urgency seizing him.
He had come here to save his daughter, not to lose his son too.
"Y-your Majesty, he doesn't know wha—BOOM!" As Alisia moved toward his nephew, the man tried to explain hastily, strengthening his body to resist her force unlike his brother.
However, his attempt resulted in his body being thrown, crashing forcefully into the room's wall.
To others, this might have seemed excessive, but those easily subdued by her were formidable enough to lay waste to an army alone.
The Reinguard family was hailed as the swords of Aidiac, the strongest warriors who had once prevented even the Selvius Kingdom from expanding its borders.
However, that sword had begun to corrode under the current king's reign.
The king leaned toward dictatorship, manipulating various methods, from marrying noble women to abducting them, to control noble families and fulfill his bodily desires.
"Now, you seem to have something worth listening to," Alisia, already aware of the potential within the child, felt inclined to hear their plea.
She intended to wait until she discovered the child's true potential before taking any further action.
"Please save my sister, I will be your slav—" Before Celes could finish his plea, Alisia intervened.
"No, you don't have to become a slave or something," Alisia reassured the little child with a smile.
She slowly lifted her hands and then snapped her fingers.
SWOOSH
An Isolation Barrier swiftly formed, enclosing both Alisia and the bewildered little boy.
.
.
.
.
WOOSH
Gradually, the barrier dissipated, revealing Alisia and Celestian standing there.
The child was on his knees, holding a sword that seemingly appeared out of thin air, offering it to Alisia with bowed head.
Seeing his son, the Marquess widened his eyes, understanding that instead of reducing his son to a mere slave, the Queen of Selvius Kingdom had accepted his child as her Knight.
Unbeknownst to him, while Alisia had indeed accepted Celestian as a Knight instead of a slave but it wasn't for herself but for her son.
Snap
Thud
The moment she snapped her fingers, the Marquess fell to the floor, and simultaneously, the other man lying unconscious on the ground began to heal.
"Now, tell your problem?" Alisia moved towards sofa before taking her seat, looking at now standing three individuals, looking towards each other before turning towards her.
"Your Majesty, you already know about the personality of the present king," he began, noticing Alisia calmly listening before continuing, "Just like how other noble families were coerced into sending their daughters or women to the Royal Palace of Aidiac Kingdom."
Biting his lips, overwhelmed with helplessness, he reluctantly revealed, "They demanded that I send my fourteen-year-old daughter to them as a concubine."
Alisia narrowed her eyes upon hearing this information but remained silent, giving him space to continue.
"Indeed, I sacrificed half of my assets to protect my little daughter. But by the age of five, she underwent a complete transformation, becoming the center of attention throughout the Estate. While her growth significantly boosted our standing over the past eight years, she somehow caught the attention of the King."
To protect his daughter from a worse fate, he handed over half of their assets to the Royal Family in the hope of surrendering himself.
However, when his daughter began involving herself in state affairs, the sudden surge in development and the advancing standings of their state drew the attention of the Royal Family.
Alisia slowly began to comprehend the similarities between this situation and her son's experience, realizing that handling children at the age of five seemed particularly challenging— referring to Ryuk's changes when he turned five years old.
"By the way, what is the name of your daughter?" she inquired before redirecting her focus to the prince's palace, attempting to catch sight of her son.
However, something interrupted her vision.
'!?'
'Again, that sensation.' Alisia's narrowed eyes detected the familiar disturbance she had experienced two years ago, which consistently interrupted her senses whenever she tried to check on Ryuk during his training sessions.
"It's Karina," the Marquess informed her about his daughter, feeling slightly relieved that things would improve now.
Alisia didn't inquire about how she could assist in this matter, well aware that the best she could offer was shelter within Selvius Kingdom for his daughter.
"Send her as soon as you can, and you follow me," Alisia ordered Celes to accompany her as she headed towards the prince's palace to visit her son.
She brought Celes along as a precaution, providing an excuse to avoid accusations similar to the past incident when she, sensing something amiss, entered Ryuk's room without permission and was labeled shameless for intruding into a grown man's room by him.
Recalling that day, Alisia's mouth twitched.
Even after noticing small bloodstains on the floor, she couldn't address the issue due to Ryuk's words.
Now, turning toward Celes trailing behind her, she said, "Pick up your pace. We need to catch someone red-handed."
.
.
.
BANG!
Alisia kicked the door directly, causing it to break and fly several meters away.
Celestian's mouth dropped open in shock as he saw the state of the door and then looked at Alisia.
"You idiot!" Alisia exclaimed, noticing Ryuk lying half-naked on the floor, blood stains around him.
Finally feeling she had the upper hand, she moved towards him.
'What is she doing here so soon?' Ryuk thought, glancing in Alisia's direction, though his thoughts were not about his mother.
"You were trying to do something again, weren't you?" Alisia folded her arms, looking down at the boy lying on the floor, who looked back at her before sitting up.
"Mother, I was just waiting for you," Ryuk said, looking towards Alisia.
He knew well that the moment he tried to use the system, just like two years ago when he formed his Ether Core, she would appear again.
'Is he trying to change the topic?' Looking at her son, Alisia felt confused.
She wanted to reprimand him, but it seemed difficult as he always had some excuse to escape punishment.
However, today she was prepared too.
"Of course, we can talk, but first, meet him," Alisia turned towards Celestian, who was looking blankly at Ryuk.
Celestian's eyes were fixed on him, observing his muscular physique and dominating aura, which was uncommon for a mere eleven-year-old child.
Inside Celestian's mind, jealousy brewed.
He possessed an ability hidden from everyone, an ABSOLUTE MEMORY.
This ability allowed him to recall memories since his mother's womb—every voice and detail vivid as if they happened minutes ago.
Despite this remarkable ability, he could never achieve what his sister had accomplished at the mere age of five.
This realization made him understand that if anyone deserved to inherit his father's position, it should be his sister, not him.
"G-greetings, Your Highness," Celestian stammered, bowing deeply as he greeted Ryuk, who continued to look at him, memories slowly becoming vivid in his mind.
"It's nice meeting you again, Celes," a smile formed on Ryuk's face as he saw the boy who was slightly different from what he remembered, yet Ryuk felt happy to see him once again.
Approaching Celestian, he offered his hand, which momentarily puzzled him before reciprocating the handshake.
Ryuk looked at him with a smile.
The reason behind his amused smile baffled both Alisia and Celestian.
Alisia, especially, feeling perplexed at seeing Ryuk continuously shaking Celestian's hand, inquired, "What are you doing, Ryuk?"
"Nothing, mother, but his hand is just too soft," Ryuk replied, still smiling.
'!?'
Celestian's eyes widened as he swiftly pulled his hand away, looking at Ryuk with widened eyes.
Celestian stammered, feeling startled and eager to clarify the misunderstanding.
"Y-your Highness, I am not like that"
