Gasp!
Pluvia Tempest awoke with a sharp gasp as she hastily looked around her.
Slowly, her breathing calmed as she recognized the familiar environment of her room. Shaking her head, she spoke lightly into the air, " ...What was that? ".
The little girl's thoughts wandered as she contemplated this strange dream she had awoke from. After a few moments, she came to her conclusion, " It was probably Father... ".
Not too long ago, on her tenth birthday, Pluvia had declared to her family that she was a big girl now and didn't need their help anymore. Ever since then, her father had been playing pranks on her in an attempt to get her to concede that she was still his baby.
Pluvia steadied herself as she disregarded the dream as just another attempt by her father to get her to come running back to him.
Swinging her legs off the side of her bed, she lowered herself onto the floor. The cold wood caused her to immediately retract them as she searched for her slippers.
Finding them under the bed, she put them on and walked through her room. Her eyes glanced along the empty space. Her room was mostly blank as she had all of her toys and childish objects moved to a separate room. Pluvia had vowed to herself that she would never play with any of them again. After all, she was a big girl now; she couldn't be playing with toys anymore.
Stretching lightly, Pluvia shook the bell by her bedside as she moved to her desk.
Ring Ring
The sound of the bell echoed through her room for a few moments. It didn't take very long for someone to respond to the sound. The door opened to her room as a figure stepped in.
The woman wore a white and red kimono that gave her a priestly vibe. Her pink hair cascaded down her shoulders with two white horns running out from beneath them.
" Shuna! "
Pluvia exclaimed in delight. While it was not uncommon for the kjin to act as the young girl's caretaker for a day, it wasn't something that happened very often.
" Lady Pluvia~, did you enjoy your sleep? "
The kjin made her way to Pluvia and gently patted her head. Pluvia leaned her head away with a giggle.
" Stop it, Shuna~! I told you I'm a big girl now. I don't need you to baby me! "
" And yet you still called for someone to help you get dressed~? "
Pluvia blushed lightly in embarrassment as she sulked.
" Well... just because I'm a big girl doesn't mean I don't need some help to get dressed... I-I mean Father still has you and Shion help him get dressed! "
Shuna shook her head with a light chuckle.
" What we do with your father is a bit different... "
Taking Pluvia's hand, Shuna walked them to the walk-in closet and helped the young girl get dressed while they talked about some of the happenings in the castle.
After getting Pluvia dressed, Shuna led the girl out of the room and down to the dining room.
" Come, Lady Pluvia. Your family is waiting for you so that they can start breakfast. "
Nodding with an excited smile, Pluvia rushed ahead of Shuna and quickly reached the large double doors that led to the dining room. The guards bowed as she approached and opened the doors behind them for her.
