The atmosphere in the room was very tense. Eryx was sitting on his chair. Jay was digging holes in his head by his glare and Seon was just too scared to talk.
"What did you do Eryx Vantae?" Jay asked again. Eryx was just staring ahead, not a single expression on his face.
Seon looked at Jay with big eyes when he said that, Jay looked back at him, "What? Isn't that his name? Isn't that the name he told that COP! I repeat COP! You hear me Eryx Vantae? You just gave your name to a cop! A police officer! One that can come and arrest you right away?
"You know why? Because you are wanted for the past 10 years for fucking murder! You remember that or did you forget that too? Huh? Tell me?
"You know very well that, that cop can come through that door anytime and arrest you? The one person you are supposed to avoid and what do you do? You just go and have a date with a cop? Great just great" Jay stopped, breathing heavily.
He did not even realise what he said. He didn't even realise the things no one discusses, he just said them out loud.
Eryx was listening to everything calmly, when Jay finished, he stood up and walked up to Jay and looked at him with dark eyes inching closer.
"Do not, ever, raise your voice at me again." He said in such a deep voice that Jay couldn't help but nod immediately regret his actions.
"Sorry Van, I didn't mean to shout..." Jay was cut off.
"Also i don't believe i gave you the right to call me by my name again. And i don't think i need to explain things to people who don't even give me a chance to do so."
With that Eryx left the room leaving a guilty Jay behind.

"What really happened Van?" The woman asked. The second Eryx had entered her house, he did nothing but just stare at no place in particular. He looked deep in thoughts.
After the fight with Jay, Eryx had decided to drop by his cousin's house. The one place he can go anytime. His sister knows everything about his past and she helps Eryx in everything she can.
Eryx was lying down on the couch, looking at the ceiling sighed at his sister's question. He knew his cousin knew him too well.
He looked at his cousin and after taking a deep breath, he smiled,
"I think i've fallen for someone, sister."
His sister, Susan's eyes went wide and she went closer to Eryx and checked his temperature by putting a hand on his forehead,
"Van, what did you have for breakfast in the morning?"
She was really surprised to see her own brother smiling after so long. Even
though it was a small smile, it was still a big thing. Plus the words that left his mouth left her speechless.
Eryx removed his hand and looked at her sister with big eyes,
"Am not joking. I really believe i have. I mean I am not sure if it's love or not but i know for a fact, she's special. And i really like her maybe more than that too."
And even if i don't love her yet, i know i will soon enough. She is that special. It's like all those times in fairytales when you feel butterflies inside your stomach. It happened sister! It really happened. Even i am surprised.
And i know she's a cop and i shouldn't get involved. But how can I not when my heart has already taken the decision. And Jay, i thought he understood me, but he didn't even give me a chance to explain myself.
This is not just a fling sister, it's real. I feel like I changed into a completely different person around her. I smile sister, can you believe it? I smile, i laugh around her. Heck, she even managed to make me almost cry in just one day. I can't let go of her. I have come too far to do that.
But that doesn't mean i forgot what I needed to do. I will never forget that. But I can't ignore her sister. Now that i know she exists, how can i not fall?" Eryx finished,
even though his voice lacked emotions. His sister saw every single one of them in his eyes.
She saw how her brother's eyes shined while talking about the girl said a lot. She saw how the cold Van for once after so many years was opening up. And she wasn't going to let anything ruin this happiness. She missed this side of her brother.
Susan put a hand on her brother's shoulder but removed it when she saw Eryx close his eyes. It's hard for him to let people touch him after what happened 10 years ago.
"I believe you Van, I am sure the girl y must be very special to have caught your eyes. I can already see the change. Just make sure you don't end up in trouble okay? Anyways I am always gonna be here with you." She said and smiled when her brother nodded at her.
"I know sister. I know you will always be there." He said and slightly smiled at her sister who couldn't be happier.
"Van," as soon as Van came back, the first thing he heard was Jay's vulnerable voice. He took a deep breath and looked at Jay who was standing in front of the club waiting for Van.
Van walked up to Jay and looked him in the eyes,
"It's okay Jay, I understand you care about me that's why you got worked up. But please don't ever question my decisions again. If she does get to know about my truth I will handle it someway, if she does come to arrest me, we will handle it. But when I say I really like her, you are supposed to be a good friend and understand me, instead of worrying about things that might not even happen."
