Gekko Hayate still clearly remembered it. Two years ago... an Uchiha clan prodigy named Uchiha Akainu, draped in the Police Force uniform, single-handedly stormed the Gekko clan compound.
The words he uttered were, "Police Force investigation. All non-essential personnel, step back. Otherwise, you will be killed."
Hayate didn't know how the conflict back then started. He only knew that he had personally witnessed his father being killed. Two of his uncles, elders of the clan, were also slain. That night... the Gekko clan compound reeked of a pungent sulfur smell, scorching lava flowed on the ground, and the walls of the buildings were covered in blade marks, riddled with kunai and shuriken.
Hayate also remembered that afterward, the entire Gekko clan collectively reported the Uchiha clan to the Third Hokage. They specifically demanded that the Hokage-sama arrest Uchiha Akainu and imprison him! They wanted that Uchiha clan demon on the execution block!
However... for some unknown reason... the matter was simply dropped. Some of the Gekko clan elders returned from the Hokage-sama, crestfallen, and never brought up the incident again. They also never pursued any further explanation from the Uchiha clan. Instead, they only instructed the younger generation to engrave the hatred deep in their hearts. And now, that "Uchiha Akainu"... was back!

Hayate snapped back to reality. He quickly drew his ninja blade, his movements hurried and panicked as he rushed towards his home. But just as he reached the Gekko clan's main gate, a thunderous boom echoed in his ears. In his line of sight, his younger brother, Gekko Seisui, with a ferocious expression, unleashed an Earth Style ninjutsu, attempting to kill a young man and woman in Uchiha Police Force attire. He also saw his brother's kunai-wielding figure momentarily turn transparent.
Hayate couldn't tell if his brother was using his Transparent Escape to attack the Police Force members or to make a quick getaway...
"Seisui! Don't!!!" he frantically yelled.
Because whether it was the former or the latter, he would be killed! The only chance to survive from the clutches of that demon, Uchiha Akainu, was to immediately drop his weapon and surrender!
Inside the compound, Uchiha Akainu grabbed Izumi's collar and tossed her aside. He himself lightly leaped, dodging a flying boulder. His eyes had taken on a chilling, eerie crimson hue, and the pattern of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan slowly materialized in his pupils.
His eyes suddenly darted to the left. Although there was no one there, the ground looked peculiar.
"Transparent Escape... heh."
Uchiha Akainu pulled out several shuriken and instantly threw them in that direction. The shuriken tore through the air with a sharp whistle, seemingly disappearing into something invisible.
"Ugh!!!"
A muffled groan echoed, and blood inexplicably appeared in the air.
"Seisui! Don't run away!!!" Hayate frantically shouted as he quickly rushed towards the bloodstain in the air. But Gekko Seisui, who had used "Transparent Escape" to conceal his body yet was still hit by the shuriken, became even more flustered upon seeing his older brother appear.
He dodged Hayate. Enduring the sharp pain in his back, he quickly fled in another direction. But before he could even escape the Gekko clan compound, a sharp ninja blade had already pierced him through the back of his heart!
Gekko Seisui's bloodshot eyes were wide and fixed. He opened his mouth, but the blade impaled in his chest twisted, then slowly and deliberately withdrew from his body.
Gekko Seisui's body stumbled, unable to maintain balance. He frantically clutched his chest, blood instantly soaking his palm. His Transparent Escape Kekkei Genkai couldn't be maintained either. His disheveled figure was revealed.
"Seisui—!!!" His brother's sorrowful cry grew closer. Gekko Seisui's consciousness, however, grew weaker and weaker.
"Gekko Seisui. Your mother's body has been found. The evil you committed has been exposed." Uchiha Akainu's cold tone made Gekko Seisui's face show a hint of despair in his final moments of life. "Today, in the name of [Absolute Justice], you are judged."
He clutched his chest, stumbled a few steps forward, and struggled to turn around, the world growing darker. "Ev... evidence...?"
"The traces on the body were indeed handled by you, but you can't erase the body's memories," Uchiha Akainu flicked the blood from his blade. "The Police Force will hand the body over to the Yamanaka clan. You should be familiar with the Yamanaka clan's secret techniques."
"The evidence you seek, perhaps your clansmen will burn it for you after you die. That's assuming they will forgive your 'evil of matricide.'"
Gekko Seisui seemed to have all his strength drained. He collapsed limply. Just as he was about to hit the ground, Gekko Hayate finally arrived. He frantically supported his brother's body, one hand firmly pressing against the large hole in his chest, trying to stop the blood loss.
"Seisui! Hold on, I'll take you to a medical ninja!"
Smack—
Hayate froze. His brother, Gekko Seisui, had swatted his hand away.
"Cough, don't... be hypocritical..." Gekko Seisui's lips were frightfully pale, his voice weak and mocking. "If she hadn't favored you so much, I wouldn't have... killed her. How ironic... the father who valued you the most died at Uchiha Akainu's hand; the mother who favored you the most died at my hand... Heh heh..."
Under Gekko Hayate's disbelieving gaze, Gekko Seisui uttered his last words: "I truly envied you so much..."
The light faded from Gekko Seisui's eyes. His gaze was empty. His breath ceased!

Uchiha Akainu had killed three members of the Gekko clan two years ago, but those three had dropped three different ninjutsu for him, not the Gekko clan's unique "Transparent Escape" Kekkei Genkai. Today, after executing "Gekko Seisui," this red-named evildoer, Uchiha Akainu now possessed another Kekkei Genkai—"Transparent Escape"—in addition to his "Sharingan" and "Scorch Release"!
"Akainu-senpai..."
Izumi's incredulous voice came from behind Uchiha Akainu. "That body... was his mother?"
Clearly, Izumi, who had just arrived, had heard everything Uchiha Akainu and Gekko Seisui had said. This had a profound impact on her worldview, leaving her in a daze.
"Yes," Uchiha Akainu replied.

Uchiha Akainu gazed at the corpse and at Gekko Hayate, who stood frozen, as if his mind had crashed. The power that ninjas possess makes them naively believe they can escape the judgment of justice."
