Chapter 1 - The Rise of The Abyss

The alley was cloaked in thick darkness, the faint hum of the distant city sounds muted by the heaviness in the air. The only light came from a flickering streetlamp, casting a feeble glow over Adrian Blake, a man whose name once commanded respect, power, and fear.

He was a politician—a senator no less—who had played the game of corruption for decades, pulling the strings behind the scenes, always above the law. But now, bound to a chair, the mighty Adrian Blake was nothing more than a pathetic, broken shell of a man. His suit was disheveled, sweat drenching his brow, his lips quivering as he tried to piece together what had gone wrong.

He was important. He was supposed to be untouchable. But Raphael was different. Raphael did not care about names. He did not care about titles. Nothing mattered to him except the final act.

"P-Please… I'm Adrian Blake. You don't understand, I can—"

Raphael's voice, calm and measured, cut through the man's pleas with surgical precision.

" Raphael repeated, the word tasting like poison on his tongue. "You still think that matters?" His tone was dry, almost amused. "You think your position will save you from the consequences of your actions?"

Adrian tried to stay calm. He was used to power, used to manipulating others. He had made enemies disappear, schemed his way to the top of the political ladder. Surely, this… this insignificant man couldn't touch him.

"I… I can give you anything. Money, information… I have ties, I can—"

Raphael's eyes never left Adrian's, and his voice grew colder. "Do you think that's what I want?" he asked, as if genuinely confused. "Your money, your connections, they're worthless to me."

Adrian's heart began to race, his mouth dry. Raphael, the man before him—his eyes so full of emptiness—had no care for the things Adrian had spent his entire life accumulating. Raphael had no fear, no hesitation, only a chilling certainty.

"No one can touch me," Adrian insisted, his voice shaky, his hands gripping the chair so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "I am above the law. Do you know what I could do for you? You don't know who I am, you—"

"That's where you're wrong." Raphael gave a cold smile, his tone deceptively calm. "You're nothing."

He stepped forward, his every movement deliberate and measured. The dark alley seemed to close in around them, the shadows lengthening, the air thickening with the weight of Raphael's words. Adrian swallowed hard, his eyes flicking to the glint of the cold metal in Raphael's hand.

"No, wait! Wait! You don't understand!" Adrian pleaded. "I can help you! I—"

"Help me?" Raphael's voice was quiet, but the way he said it made Adrian's stomach churn. "You think you can help me? You're just a corrupt politician. A pawn in a world that's too broken to fix."

Adrian's mouth opened, but no words came out. The reality of his situation hit him like a freight train. This wasn't some street thug or criminal. This was someone who was untouchable, someone whose cold like a demon, indifference was final.

"I've watched you," Raphael continued, his eyes narrowing, his tone laced with disdain. "I've saw you manipulate, destroy lives. You've torn down so many to build your fortress of lies. You shot down Mr.Albert like a stray dog ? You thought you were above it all. Above everyone else. But now… now, you're just a rotting bastard"

The gun in Raphael's hand gleamed, and for a moment, it seemed like time itself had frozen. Adrian's breathing became ragged, his mind racing for any escape, any way to buy even a second of time.

"No… please," Adrian whimpered. "I can make them all disappear. I know how this works! You—"

"No one is coming for you," Raphael whispered, stepping closer, his face inches from Adrian's. "No one even cares that you're gone. Do you know what that feels like? To realize that, after all the years you spent building your reputation, your empire, you were never was anything more than a pawn? The world won't even blink when you die."

The last shred of hope drained from Adrian's face as the truth settled in like ice in his veins. His entire life, his power, was built on sand—shifting, unstable, and easily washed away. All of it, everything he thought he had, was meaningless.

Raphael's voice was low, but it cut deep. "You were just a tool for the crimes. A tool I'll break and discard just like all the others."

Adrian's body trembled, his mind caught in the web of his own regret. "I—I didn't… I didn't know…" he gasped.

"Of course you didn't," Raphael said with a sigh. "You never bothered to look. Never bothered to realize that everyone around you is just another pawn waiting to be sacrificed. You were too busy playing at being untouchable."

Adrian's breath hitched as Raphael raised the gun slowly, deliberately.

"At the last You are just a parasite that feed on the blood of people who trust you. "Your name will be forgotten the moment the blood leaves your body. You were just another toy I destroyed."

Bang.

The Bullet went inside Adrian's head. The Blood began to pool beneath him.

Raphael stood over the corpse, unmoved. His cold gaze lingered on the lifeless form of the once-feared senator.

"No one will remember you," he murmured. "No one will care. You were never important. Just noise."

Without a backward glance, Raphael holstered the gun and walked into the shadows, vanishing without a trace.
