Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Precision

Bran was pale and sweating, the jagged black tooth still embedded deep in his thigh. Blood soaked his trousers, and the skin around the wound had already started to swell with a sickly discoloration.

Kael crouched beside him, hands steady, voice calm. "I need to look at it closely. May I?"

Bran grunted and nodded through clenched teeth.

Kael activated Omni-Vision.

His vision shifted—flesh peeled away into transparent layers, revealing bone, muscle, veins, and the thing lodged between them: the beast's tooth. But something was wrong. The structure wasn't solid—it was hollow.

Kael's eyes widened. A fang. Not just a tooth.

"It's poisonous," he said aloud. "I need to remove it before it spreads."

Erion cursed under his breath. Mira covered her mouth.

Kael steadied himself and reached for his skill.

He concentrated on the fang—its shape, the exact dimensions—and teleported it out in a single clean motion. It blinked into existence beside him, still slick with blood.

Bran gasped, the sudden absence of pain visible in his expression—but it wasn't over.

Kael leaned in, pupils dilated with the golden glow of Omni-Vision. He followed the faint, threadlike trails of the toxin snaking through Bran's leg like a spiderweb of death. The poison had begun to seep through the tissues, slowly but surely.

He had to be exact.

One by one, Kael located the concentrated pockets and, using Minor Teleport, blinked the venom out of the muscle and veins. His hands trembled from the precision required. It was like pulling needles from threads without snapping them.

Ten minutes later, he leaned back, sweat on his brow.

"It's out," he said. "All of it."

Bran was breathing easier, the color slowly returning to his face.

The second guard, Thorne, stepped forward and placed his hand over the wound. A soft green glow spread across his palm.

Restoration Touch.

The torn muscle began to stitch back together. Swelling faded. Skin closed. In moments, the leg looked nearly untouched—aside from the blood still staining the cloth.

Silence followed.

Then Erion let out a low whistle. "Well, I'll be damned."

Mira blinked. "You saw the poison… and just… pulled it out?"

Kael nodded slowly. "Omni-Vision shows me everything. And Minor Teleport is more precise than most people think—if you understand how to use it."

Thorne gave him a respectful nod. "I've seen healers, but that? That was something else."

Bran grinned weakly. "Glad you're on our side."

Kael offered a sheepish smile. "I'm just glad it worked."

He pocketed the dark fang for later study. Something about it still unsettled him.

And deep inside, a truth solidified—there was no limit to what his powers could do, if he kept learning.
