Chapter 8 - Sweet home.

They packed all their things and started going.

They were riding on a horse cart, and its luxurious inside.

Sara is pretty excited to see the new home, but on the other hand Cliffdon looks at Reinhead with a worried face.

He is sitting with a relaxed posture and leaning on the seat. As Sara is looking out off the window, Cliffdon goes near his ears and whisper, "Where the hell are we even going?" Reinhead gives a gentle smile and says, "Don't worry you will find out."

Cliffdon sits down, Sara looks at him and asks, "Is something wrong?"

"..Nothing everything is fine." As he scratches his face.

Sara with curiosity on her mind asks to Reinhead.. "Um.. Sir, what work does my brother do?"

Cliffdon suprised with the unexpected call trys to stop her, but she does not listen.

"Why don't you ask him yourself." Reinhead as he puts his cigarette on his mouth.

"I tried but, he is not telling." She replies.

Reinhead takes out his Cigarette from his mouth and blows a smoke, he throws it out of the window and says, "You brother works as an medical doctor in our department."

Cliffdon is stunned, so is Sara. She looks at him with a suprised face and then she gently hugs him.

He is shocked by how suprise Sara is. Cliffdon actually took four years of medical training on the National University of Baskar.

But unfortunately even after getting the doctor's degree he did not get a job, due to lack of opportunities in the kingdom.

I guess they went through all my files, it is creepy that how skillful they really are.

Cliffdon gently pats on Saras shoulders, requesting her to stop hugging him.

She slowly goes back, and as she moves she wipes her tears off from her eyes. She tells that she was so happy to hear that her brother finally got a job. It is not easy to get a job in this kingdom this days, So she was so happy that she couldn't hold her emotions.

Cliffdon becomes down after hearing it, knowing that it is just a play, and everything is just a set up.

After a few minutes they reach the place. It was around thirty minutes of journey and the place was located in a colony called Manaster.

They come out, the house was in the neighborhood area, and it was huge. It had a large area, and the house was nice shaped. Everything was made up of bricks, and the colour of the house was white. It had two floors and a large balcony. They go inside, they are stunned to see high ceilings and bright floor. The windows are big and the doors are thick.

Sara in an excitement, starts wondering around the house. Cliffdon looks at Reinhead with a worried face and asks..

"Is it alright for us to stay here?"

"Don't worry, every agent from our department lives like this. I have also changed my identity and I work as an assistant professor at a college."

"But.. unlike you people I am not an agent." Cliffdon replies.

"What do you mean? Did Inspector told you that from now on you are going to work for us."

Cliffdon is shocked to hear it. He grabs Reinhead shoulders and says,

"What to you mean! I never agreed to it."

As he shakes his body.

"It's for your own safety, you don't need to panic, and moreover if you work for us you will be paid."

"But.." Reinhead moves his hands from his shoulder and says.. "If we don't do anything you and your sister might get into a big problem, so please co-operate with us."

Cliffdon sits down on the nearest sofa and goes into a deep thought.

Its true that my life is in deep danger right now, but should I trust them? What if they end up betraying me. Ah...! It's a big problem. but, for my sister I have to do this. Or else..

"Mr. Williams."

"..."

"So what do you think?"

Cliffdon thinks for a moment and answers..

"Ok, I am ready I'll work for you people."

Reinhead smiles at him, and sits down on the sofa, he takes out a cigarette and a lighter from his pocket puts it on his mouth and starts smoking. ''Than that means it's settled, You don't need to worry about anything from now on."

Cliffdon just sits on the sofa and stays quite.

Suddenly a man comes from outside and tells something to Reinhead. His face suddenly changes. Cliffdon confused asks..

"What's wrong?"

Reinhead stands up from the sofa.

"I can't say much, but I'll be coming to pick you up tonight. You better be ready." As he takes out his Cigarette from his mouth and leaves.

What was that all about. He thinks.

But really, this place is huge. I never thought that I would get a chance to live here. As he looks around.

He goes upstairs, there are seven rooms in total and each one has a bed. He goes near the nearest room just to find Sara snuggling on the bed. "What are you doing?" Cliffdon asks.

"This house is so big, I am so happy." With a joyful voice.

"Sara, behave yourself, we are getting a chance to live here just because of the department." Cliffdon replies.

"Jeez.. fine." As she stands up from the bed.

After that they started putting their things inside their new house. It took them a whole day of hard work to finish everything.

As they finish it was already dark outside.

After having dinner Cliffdon goes inside his new room and sits down on his chair.

He starts thinking about how things are going to go from now on, basically worried.

He trys calming himself down by picking a book from his book shelf. He starts reading it, and as he reads he goes so into it that it was already midnight. Cliffdon after realising the time, decides to go to sleep, as he was a person who really valued time.

And just as he is about to go to his bed, someone knocks at his window. Cliffdon goes to check and as he opens it for his suprise it was Reinhead sitting on the nearest tree looking at him. Cliffdon blinked, at the figure perched on the tree, the moon casting Reinhead Silhouette in silver light.

"...What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" Cliffdon asked, his voice low, trying not to wake up his sister.

Reinhead jumped down soundlessly, his long coat fluttering slightly as his boots lanted on the damp earth. His eyes, sharp as always, locked with Cliffdons.

"No time to talk. Just come with me.''

Cliffdon hesitated for only a moment, and stepped outside and shut the door behind him.

They walked in silence through the fog-laced garden. The only Sounds were the soft crunch of gravel and the distant hoot of an owl. Reinhead didn't explain and Cliffdon knew better than to ask not yet.

After turning a corner around the iron gate, they reached a black horse drawn carriage waiting at the end of the line, its lamps flickering dimly.

"In," Reinhead said, opening the door.

Cliffdon climped in, the old leather seat creaking beneath him. As the carriage started moving, he finnally asked, "So? What's so urgent?"

Reinhead taking out his cigarette from his coat. Blows a smoke, and with a serious face he replies, "It's time, for you to show us your real power."
