Chapter 37 - 37

Ron finally understood what Jasmine's ability was after observing her and then listening to her explain it.

Simply put, Jasmine can accelerate the decay rate of any substance, including energy, kinetic energy, and—life!

Ron was shocked when he learned of Jasmine's ability.

Everything in the world is composed of matter. If this little girl could make all matter decay quickly over a large range, then she would definitely be a Level 5 Omega-level mutant.

However, Jasmine explained that her ability could at most decay matter to the point of complete damage, but not make it completely disappear, so it wasn't very powerful.

Furthermore, Jasmine's ability only worked when her body touched the substance, which was a significant limitation.

This ability was somewhat similar to Rogue's Anna, but one absorbed the abilities of others through contact, while the other caused any substance to decay directly, making it lose its original function and be damaged!

Because of this ability, Jasmine, like Rogue, was not very popular with others and sat alone in a corner.

However, Ron estimated that if this ability truly grew to its limit, even ordinary Level 5 Omega-level mutants might not be a match for Jasmine.

This ability was indeed terrifying!

After learning about Jasmine's ability, Ron also pondered whether this decay ability could give him some inspiration to break through the singularity bottleneck in his sea of consciousness.

However, before Ron could think for long, his psychic sense suddenly detected a sneaky fellow in the hallway outside the classroom.

This fellow was Wolverine, who was currently made of adamantium. Wolverine had likely just woken up and didn't know where he was, so he was cautiously observing his surroundings.

"Alright, the final winner of the little game is Jasmine. This class is over; everyone can go home!"

Ron checked the time and realized it was almost time for class to end, so he dismissed the students.

"Thank you, Teacher Ron, goodbye!"

As soon as they heard class was dismissed, these guys all cheered and quickly ran out of the classroom, not wanting to stay for another second.

This was normal; ordinary humans didn't like classes, let alone these super-powered individuals.

After everyone left, Jasmine, with her decay ability, remained behind. She looked at Ron, gently bowed, and said, "Thank you, Teacher Ron."

"You're welcome." Ron smiled. Jasmine was thanking him for the vibranium coin he had given her!

Jasmine's ability must have grown quite a bit... Ron smiled and shook his head, curious about how far Jasmine's ability would develop in the future... It was night, and Ron's psychic sense suddenly pulsed, detecting that something was happening nearby.

The situation was simple: at night, Wolverine became agitated after recalling some past events. Rogue, who had come to the X-Mansion with Wolverine, lived in the same room.

Rogue wanted to check on Wolverine's condition and was accidentally stabbed by the agitated Wolverine.

Knowing that this plot point had occurred, Ron stood up and went to the source of the shouts.

Ron saw Rogue in the room absorbing Wolverine's healing ability to treat her injured body.

Looking at Rogue absorbing Wolverine's ability, Ron wondered if Rogue could absorb the ability of the singularity in his sea of consciousness if he let her touch him.

Ron thought it shouldn't be possible, because his singularity was just a point, and Rogue had no reason to absorb its ability.

To test his idea, Ron walked towards Rogue and gently placed his finger on her skin, wanting to see if his idea was correct.

Of course, Ron also prepared an emergency plan in case of an accident.

There was no accident. As Ron expected, after his finger touched Rogue's skin, Ron could very clearly feel that Rogue only absorbed some of his powerful physical abilities from the strengthening serum he had injected, and his singularity was not affected by Rogue's ability in the slightest.

Ron smiled and did not rush to withdraw his finger.

Because he finally discovered what the bottleneck of the singularity in his sea of consciousness was.

Simply put, that bottleneck was Ron's body.

The singularity was currently housed within Ron's body. Although they weren't truly together, the singularity was still affected by this body, preventing Ron from truly transforming into the singularity.

There were many solutions. Ron could completely abandon his current body, reintegrate all his consciousness into the singularity, and then develop further.

However, this method had some flaws. Ron couldn't fully guarantee that he could completely integrate into the singularity now. If he acted rashly, he might lose consciousness again until the singularity he embodied grew into a cosmic form, at which point Ron would regain some consciousness.

Ron had already experienced this method once when he first became a universe, and he didn't want to relive the feeling of being in darkness and nothingness, so Ron immediately discarded this option.

The second method was for Ron to directly merge his body with the singularity, allowing him to freely enter the singularity and this body, thus passing this stage.

This method also had flaws, of course; Ron found it somewhat difficult to proceed, and it would require a very long time, among other things.

However, for safety, Ron still chose the second method, trying to find a way to merge his body with the singularity.

After clarifying these thoughts, Ron released his finger from Rogue's body, so his body would no longer be affected by Rogue's ability.

At this moment, Rogue, who had completely healed, looked at Ron beside her in shock, feeling a bit strange.

Who was this person, and why would he place his finger on her?

Rogue saw that this guy's body was clearly affected by her ability, yet his consciousness was very clear, and he even seemed to be thinking about something, not panicking at all.

"You're called Rogue, right? Your ability is quite good."

However, Ron ignored Rogue's meaning. He smiled at Rogue, said thank you, and then walked out of the room.

"Huh?" Rogue was bewildered by Ron's words. How could this guy thank her even though he was affected by her ability?

What on earth was going on?

Rogue didn't understand, and neither did the X-Men and some X-Academy students who were watching outside the room.

They had rushed over immediately after Wolverine called for help. Upon arriving, they saw Rogue absorbing Wolverine's superpower, a terrifying sight.

But even more terrifying was that they also saw Ron, who had just been invited to the academy by the Professor this morning, voluntarily placing his finger on Rogue's body, allowing Rogue to absorb his ability.

This kind of thing was too crazy!

Seeing Ron walking towards the door, they all very consciously made way for him to pass.

Among these people, 'Iceman' Bobby looked at Ron walking out, his brow slightly furrowed, clearly very puzzled by Ron's appearance!

However, the next sentence Ron uttered, which puzzled him, immediately alarmed 'Iceman' Bobby.

"Hey, Grey, Scott, Ororo, haven't you noticed that little guy Bobby standing by the door is a bit different?"

Ron glanced at 'Iceman' Bobby standing by the door, smiling as he spoke to Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm.

"'He' seems to have a layer of blue skin covering him!"
