Chapter 15: The God of Mischief's Stage

Stuttgart, Germany. A picturesque city, now the unwitting stage for a god's theatrical debut. Adama and Morgan, having tracked Loki's movements through their new asset, Agent Miller, were there, blending into the panicked crowd. They were cloaked in invisibility, their presence a silent hum amidst the rising chaos.

"He's really leaning into the 'kneel before me' routine, isn't he?" Adama muttered, watching Loki with a detached amusement that belied the tension in the air. "Someone needs to tell him that whole 'divine right of kings' thing went out of style centuries ago."

Morgan, however, was focused on the civilians. "Adama, that building. It's unstable. And that family, they're trapped."

"Right. Less commentary, more saving the world. Got it."

Loki, in his grand display of power, was causing significant structural damage. A large piece of concrete, dislodged from a nearby building, began to plummet towards a group of terrified bystanders.

"Crown of Gravity," Adama commanded mentally, his focus absolute. He extended his will, a silent, invisible force reaching out. The concrete slab, mid-fall, seemed to hesitate, then, with a subtle shift, veered sharply to the side, crashing harmlessly into an empty street.

[System Message] Civilian Rescue: 30 Non-Permanent Luck Points gained.

"Thirty points! Loki's theatrics are surprisingly profitable. Who knew mass panic paid so well?"

Suddenly, a blur of red, white, and blue. Captain America. He landed with a thud, shield raised, ready to confront the god. Then, the hum of repulsor blasts. Iron Man. And finally, the quiet, deadly grace of Black Widow. The Avengers were assembling, piece by piece.

Morgan, in her Iron Maiden armor, remained invisible, but her internal systems were buzzing. She subtly linked into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s drone network, feeding Nick Fury updated tactical information, making her disguised armor appear as just another, highly efficient surveillance drone.

"Fury, you're welcome. Consider it a free upgrade to your intelligence gathering. Don't ask questions, just be grateful."

The fight raged. Loki, for all his power, was outmatched. Captain America's unwavering resolve, Iron Man's raw power, and Black Widow's tactical brilliance slowly pushed him back. Adama and Morgan continued their quiet work, a dance of subtle interference. They nudged falling debris away from civilians, created momentary distractions for Loki's illusions, and ensured the heroes had clear lines of sight.

At one point, Iron Man fired a repulsor blast that went wide, heading straight for a bus full of evacuees. Morgan, without hesitation, subtly shifted her armor's trajectory, creating a momentary, almost invisible energy shield that harmlessly deflected the blast. Tony, focused on Loki, didn't even notice.

As Loki was finally subdued and led away, looking thoroughly disgruntled, Adama and Morgan slipped away, leaving no trace. They watched from a distance as the heroes gathered, a silent understanding passing between them.

"Well," Morgan said, her voice a little breathless from the adrenaline. "That was quite the show. Loki really knows how to make an entrance."

"And an exit," Adama added, a wry smile on his face. "But hey, at least no one got flattened by a rogue chunk of concrete. And we got some nice shiny luck points out of it. Win-win, I'd say."

They knew this was just the beginning. The Avengers were forming, the cosmic threats were looming, and they, Adama and Morgan, were right in the thick of it, silent guardians, pulling the strings from the shadows. Stuttgart was just the opening act. The real show was yet to come.
