Chapter 15 ( sing a long)
Celestia was in her room, and the silence was deafening to her ears. She was getting impatient, so she decided to take a walk outside. She felt around the bed to find her walking stick, which was her only support. When she finally found it, she slowly moved, not knowing the layout of the place or what surrounded her. As she approached the door, she slowly opened it.
"Awwwwww—" she cried out in pain as she bumped into a post.
"Where are you headed?" a familiar voice asked.
"Just over there," she replied curtly.
"Do you think it's a good idea to do what you're doing, Celestia? Don't you realize you might get hurt?" the voice said in a soft but firm tone.
"I'm just going over there—wait, why are you interfering? I can take care of myself!" she snapped.
"I'm Doctor Kheo, and I'm assigned to take care of you and check on you regularly. So, if I were you, I'd go back to bed and rest," the doctor said in an annoyed tone.
"What's with you? You're so nosy! Move out of my way, you're talking too much!" Celestia shouted.
For a few seconds, there was no response, so Celestia felt her way around to see if there were any obstacles using her walking stick. When she realized there weren't any, she quickly walked out.
"Awwwwww!!" she cried out again as her fingers bumped into a hard metal object. When she felt it, she realized it was a chair attached to the wall.
"See, I told you you're not ready to take care of yourself," Doctor Kheo said.
The doctor had just stepped aside and let her go to prove that Celestia wasn't ready to take care of herself.
"You're always like this, just leave me alone. You're like a leech that won't go away," Celestia snapped at Doctor Kheo.
"Let me accompany you, or else I'll carry you back to your room," the doctor threatened.
"Fine, accompany me if you want!" Celestia shouted.
The doctor held her right hand, supporting her as they walked slowly. Celestia didn't know where they were headed, and Doctor Kheo remained silent, not making a sound as he supported her. Despite the silence, Celestia began to calm down because she was finally getting out, and besides being cooped up in her room was suffocating, and she couldn't even get a breath of fresh air.
Four minutes of walking and Doctor Kheo stopped her. She didn't know why or what the reason was for him to stop her.
"What now—" she stopped speaking to ask when she felt the warmth of the sun on her skin.
Wait, am I outside now?
"We're here, come on, I'll help you sit down," Doctor Kheo said.
"Okay," she replied curtly.
He supported her as she sat down, and as she did, a gentle breeze blew, lifting her spirits. It felt like she was in paradise, but her blind eyes couldn't see the beauty of the world.
"Thanks," she said shyly, thanking Doctor Kheo.
"It's a small thing, but it seems like a big deal to you, judging by the nice words coming out of your mouth now," he replied with a hint of sarcasm.
"You know, sometimes when people are kind to you, you still manage to annoy them," she said sharply.
"That's not my fault," Doctor Kheo replied.
"How is it not your fault when this is the first time I've been in this hospital and you're already teasing me all the time?" she shouted.
"That's called caring for patients," he said.
"Seriously, it's better if you just shut up if you don't want me to stuff rocks in your mouth," she replied angrily, something she never thought she'd do.
"I don't want to, and by the way, just so you know, we're in the hospital garden right now, and if you notice, the breeze smells nice," he said.
"Okay!" she replied, still fuming at Doctor Kheo.
Doctor Kheo fell silent, but later started making annoying sounds that irritated her hearing. She didn't show that she was affected by his noise-making. He was using the chair as an instrument and humming like a mosquito that wouldn't die.
"Can you please, Doctor Kheo, just give me a few hours of silence?" she said irritated.
"What can I do? Do you want me to do something?" he replied philosophically.
"Maybe it's better if you sing instead of making mosquito sounds," Celestia replied.
"Wow, you're harsh. But okay, what song do you want me to sing?" Doctor Kheo asked.
"Anything but mosquito sounds," she replied teasingly.
"Okay," he said. "One, two, three." He started counting before singing.
"Darling, I hope you'll listen to this song of mine
I'm willing to change for you alone~~"
Surprisingly, his voice was beautiful.
"I'll do anything, just don't leave me
And I hope you'll own my heart and mind
And feel the love for you."
He sang on.
"Sing along," he urged. She didn't say anything and started singing along.
"Don't waste the love you've given
And I'm willing to change everything about me
Just love me, that's my only wish."
Celestia sang.
"My love, I hope you feel it
And know that you're the only one I'm thinking of~"
Doctor Kheo sang.
"A person like me who loves you
Hoping you'll hear these prayers and this song~"
Celestia smiled at what they were doing, simple but it brought joy to her heart.
"My love, I hope you'll reciprocate
And I just hope you'll feel it
A person like me who loves you
Hoping you'll hear these prayers and this song~"
Doctor Kheo finished singing the short and sweet song.
"You are good at something," Celestia said with a smile.
"At least I made you happy," he replied, and his voice showed that he was happy too.
Celestia laughed and didn't feel annoyed anymore. Everything felt lighter, and her mood improved. His voice was beautiful and melodious, captivating her heart.
Wait, what's captivating? What am I saying? Celestia slapped herself.
"Are you crazy?" she shouted, startling Doctor Kheo.
"Huh, why?" Doctor Kheo asked, surprised.
"Nothing, nothing," she replied, feeling nervous.
This is bad, her mind whispered
