[I regained consciousness inside a castle and noticed my class teacher fighting armored people.]
[I surrendered and was locked in a cell with other classmates.]
[There were thirteen of us in one prison cell. The walls were made of stone, the iron bars and walls had some sort of inscription. It wouldn't bend or break even with Esper ability.]
[Without making it obvious, I moved and made a seat for myself in the corner while classmates came up with different conspiracy theories.]
[At dawn, a man in fancy clothes appeared with his group in armor and dragged out three classmates. I was left among the ten remaining students.]
[Soon after they left, the man in the red cape appeared. He looked very angry and disappointed at the guards. Then he quickly stormed out with his soldiers.]
[2 days later, the same thing happened, but this time all 10 of us were taken away by another group.]
[We were brought into a place like a coliseum. There were no spectators, but more than 50 people were in the arena.]
[Till now, we didn't understand anything they had said. But suddenly, words were spoken inside our mind.]
[They were saying that among the otherworlders our group of people are those deemed worthless. Which was true considering all of us here are those who chose to surrender without a fight. The leader here was called the Gladiator King. He was willing to take us under his wing, but only 5 of us.]
[He wants us all to prove our determination and prove that we were ready to leave our past lives behind, if we were ready to spill blood. In other words, he was telling us to fight and kill each other.]
[One classmate got angry and retaliated. They threw a spear at him that would have almost killed him had he manifested his forcefield even one second late.]
[But they relentlessly attacked him until his shield was broken. His body had punctures all over it. Even when his body dropped on the ground lifeless, they stabbed him repeatedly as if to make sure he really was dead.]
[All of this happened way too fast for anyone else to react.]
[They told us to fight again, and this time it didn't look like an order, more like a threat. The number the leader is willing to take is only 4 now.]
[From the atmosphere, all students had decided to fight. And obviously, the first target was me, an easy fight.]
[4 classmates attacked me to take the kill.]

[I stood up with my resisting classmates. Instead of rushing, I supported other classmates. When one classmate was being overpowered, I punched the soldier with all my might. But unfortunately, it didn't even put a dent in his armor.]
[I quickly retreated back in cover behind the class teacher and used the strategy a few more times attack and retreat behind my classmates or the teacher. At this rate, I was more of a nuisance than any danger.]
[But in the end, the class teacher lost the battle, and they captured me. Annoyed soldiers locked me up in prison with the 12 who surrendered. Looks like they deemed me worthless anyway.]
[At dawn, 3 classmates were taken away by a person in fancy clothes.]
[2 days later, all of us were dragged into the coliseum. By the Gladiator King's order, we were told to fight each other.]
[One classmate retaliated and was brutally killed on the spot.]
[They told us to fight again, but this time they were only willing to take 4 of us. I went ahead and quickly pulled out a spear from the dead classmate's body.]
[For some reason, the classmates still decided to gang up on me first. This time 5 people grouped up against me. This is the power of love and friendship, which I obviously don't have.]
[Before dying, I managed to put the spear inside one classmate's head and seriously injure another.]

'Escape is impossible. Surrender means becoming just another stepping stone for some scientific breakthrough about the human body. Or dying a "glorious" death like a gladiator. Fighting doesn't offer better odds either. I have no firepower, and my Esper ability is completely useless in combat.'
'Let's try fighting just one more time.'

[But when I landed outside, I saw the man in the red cape was already waiting for me there. I was locked in a cell with Anna.]
[Before she could speak, I laid down on the bed and started sleeping.]
[When I woke up, I realized I was on the floor. Anna took the bed.]
[On the 3rd day, Anna was acting different. I noticed how before she was so indifferent, but now she is a bit more emotional. Her behavior was also a bit different from the past two days. Each day she became more talkative and friendly. But today she is completely uneasy, unsettled.]
[At night, Anna asked if I was already asleep. I didn't respond.]

[I finally let her go and sighed in relief. The effort left me breathless, so I leaned against the bed to recover.]
[Just when I thought I had survived, Anna stood up.]
[While I was still figuring out how to beg for my life, hoping she wouldn't kill me, Anna turned around.]
[But instead of the Anna I expected, her eyes had turned a deep crimson, and her teeth had twisted into something monstrous.]
[This time Anna turned into a monster, chewed my organs, and ripped my guts out.]
