The Chapter get Retranslated
Athrun Zala stole the Aegis Gundam, while Murrue Ramius and Kira Yamato entered the Strike Gundam.
The two Mobile Suits burst out of the completely destroyed factory.
Since both Mobile Suits were equipped with the new Phase Shift Armor system, they were entirely gray before activation. Only after activation would their true colors appear.
Once Phase Shift Armor activated, physical weapons could barely damage a Gundam. However, this type of armor was not without its drawbacks; prolonged use of Phase Shift Armor would deplete the power reactor, meaning it consumed energy extremely quickly.
Conversely, if the energy ran out, the Phase Shift Armor would deactivate, and solid-projectile weapons would then be able to inflict damage.
Although Murrue had entered the Strike Gundam's cockpit, she wasn't the pilot. Moreover, a Natural couldn't use a Gundam's Operating System.
Murrue could start the Gundam, but she couldn't control it at all; she wobbled just trying to walk.
Meanwhile, Athrun Zala, sitting in the Aegis Gundam, successfully flew it away under the cover of two Ginn Mobile Suits, returning to the Vesalius. Although he was concerned about seeing someone resembling Kira Yamato earlier, the mission came first.
The two remaining Ginn Mobile Suits naturally intended to either capture or destroy the remaining Gundam; in short, they couldn't leave it for the Earth Alliance.
Murrue struggled to move the Strike Gundam forward, trying to attack, but the enemy easily dodged her.
However, only a Coordinator could adapt to this Operating System; as a Natural, she couldn't operate it freely.
The Ginn pilot sneered,
"Hmph, can't even walk steadily? What a waste.
Rassgath, capture it, pilot and all."
"It won't be that easy, will it? Don't forget the Mobile Suit has a self-destruct device. The Earth Alliance pilots aren't fools."
"Ah, you're right. No choice then, destroy it."
Saying this, one Ginn raised its heavy solid-projectile rifle and fired at the activated Phase Shift Armor of the Strike Gundam.
Dada-dada-da.
The bullets hit the Strike Gundam without causing any damage. The Ginn pilot's expression turned cold as he recalled the intel Athrun Zala had sent him before leaving.
"Phase Shift Armor, huh?"
Another pilot drew his Ginn's physical sword and sneered,
"It's fine, the pilot is a Natural. If they can't control it freely, it's no different from a live target."
"Heh heh, you're right."
Rassgath, the Ginn pilot who spoke first, also revealed a cold smile, looking at the Strike Gundam as if it were a prey to be butchered.
The Ginn's sword slammed onto the Strike Gundam's shoulder. Although it caused no damage due to the Phase Shift Armor, the immense force was too much for the imperfectly tuned Strike Gundam and its amateur pilot to withstand.
The Strike Gundam was inevitably knocked to the ground by a single sword strike, crashing into the building behind it.
Murrue quickly operated the Strike Gundam to get up, dodging to the side, avoiding the second Ginn's attack.
Retreating in a panic, Kira Yamato, standing beside the pilot's seat, saw the display screen showing his four companions not far from the Strike Gundam's feet.
"Everyone!"
At this moment, the Ginn's attack arrived again, and the pilot's arrogant voice echoed,
"Naturals aren't fit to pilot a Mobile Suit. Accept your fate!"
The Ginn raised its sword and thrust forward...
Due to her arm injury, Murrue couldn't react in time, watching helplessly as the Ginn's sword plunged towards the cockpit...
The scene slowed down at this moment.
Beep beep beep.
An unknown alarm simultaneously blared inside all three Mobile Suits.
Rassgath followed the alarm's indication and looked southeast, where a black dot was rapidly approaching.
"That is..."
His pupils constricted violently when he finally saw that the flying object seemed to be a weapon.
"Damn it, dodge quickly..."
But before he could finish his sentence, his companion's Ginn was struck by the black long-handled weapon and exploded.
"What's going on... Who is it! You bastard!"
Rassgath roared in rage.
Murrue, in the Strike Gundam, was also stunned by this sight, momentarily forgetting the pain in her arm.
"Is that... a lance?"
Kira Yamato frowned, saying,
"It looks a bit like... a mace."
It wasn't their fault for not recognizing it; the Gundam Barbatos's mace was simply too rare. Almost no one used it in this world; it was all Beam Rifles, Railguns, longswords, or Beam Sabers.
Physical weapons were extremely scarce.
A red dot suddenly appeared on the Strike Gundam's radar.
"Above!"
No sooner had Murrue exclaimed in shock than a majestic Mobile Suit descended from the sky in front of the Strike Gundam, kicking up thick dust and a hurricane.
As the dust settled, Murrue gasped when she saw the true form of the appearing Mobile Suit.
"A Gundam? How can this be? No... no, there were only five Gundams in the plan. It's impossible for there to be another Gundam. What is that, exactly..."
"Hey, you in the Gundam, still alive?"
A calm voice came through the Strike Gundam's communication, and Murrue, looking at the Mobile Suit in front of her, hesitated before asking,
"Who are you?"
"Huh? Ah, me, well... Tekkadan's leader, Mikazuki Augus."
"Tekkadan's leader? What's that? Who exactly are you? And your Mobile Suit, report your unit immediately!"
Murrue had never heard of any Tekkadan and thought Mikazuki Augus was mocking her.
Inside the Gundam Barbatos, a shirtless Mikazuki Augus scratched his head. He wasn't very good at talking; if Orga Itsuka hadn't insisted, he wouldn't have contacted Murrue proactively.
However, he still said,
"This isn't the time to talk about that, is it? It's good that you're alive, otherwise it wouldn't count as saving you.
Then Orga would just nag me again. He's been so chatty since we reunited, almost like an old grandma."
"Huh?"
"Don't worry about it."
Just as Mikazuki Augus and Murrue were bickering, the opposing Ginn moved. Rassgath pushed the control stick, roaring,
"Bastard! Was that you? How dare you ambush me! I'll take care of you!"
Mikazuki Augus shed his casual demeanor, tightening and loosening his grip on the control stick.
The Gundam Barbatos lowered its head, its green eyes glowing. It grabbed the mace beside it, staring at the approaching Ginn like a wolf hunting its prey.
