The room pulsed with energy.
Kael lay on black sheets, limbs bound in silver thread. Seren moved above him like a priestess mid-ritual. Every touch sparked pain, then pleasure, then something indescribable.
Runes glowed beneath their skin, mapping each nerve.
"Don't lie to me," she warned. "Even with your breath."
He didn't.
She straddled him, nails carving soft marks down his chest. Her lips touched his neck, collarbone, hips. Each kiss unlocked a new ache.
Then her voice turned sharp: "What do you want, Kael?"
"Power."
"No. What do you crave?"
He hesitated.
She gripped him harder. "Say it."
"You."
A smile bloomed. "Good."
Their bodies merged in rhythm.
Every thrust echoed with something deeper than sound. A shared hunger. His vision blurred. Her voice became music. His muscles ached, then pulsed, then overflowed.
Then she climaxed. And screamed.
Kael's magic exploded outward, blue flame and shadow.
Runes carved themselves into the stone walls.
He was no longer Unbound.
