Luthor started screaming and cursing at me, even throwing in a few threats.

"You dumb idiot! You'll pay for this!"

"Yeah, sure, and you'll pay me for the time I wasted listening to your stupid speeches."

Luthor was about to throw back some smartass comment, but I shut him up the fastest way possible, by punching him square in the face. Luthor immediately went silent, his body slumping to the ground. One hit. That's all it took. Luthor was out cold, efficiently silenced.

"Tch, so weak." I lifted Luthor's limp body with the Force and tossed him over to the pile where the other captured villains were. Then I walked over to the rest of the League.

"So, where are Lantern and Shazam, huh?"

Batman was about to answer, but Flash beat him to it.

"Lantern's apparently on some 'super dangerous mission to save the entire galaxy', at least, that's what he said. But I think he's capping and just slacking off somewhere. And Shazam? Yeah, he's definitely slacking."

"I wish I could slack off too... anyway, it's late. I did what I had to do. I'm heading home, I need my beauty sleep."

The moment those words left my mouth, Weather Wizard suddenly snapped back to consciousness. Even with cuffs on, he got to his feet and started running. I heard Flash say,

"He's getting away, guys!"

Flash let the Wizard get a head start, probably for fun, and then bolted after him. Meanwhile, I was thinking to myself, why does this scene feel so familiar?

"League of Doom... Weather Wizard... hmmm... OH! I remember! This must be that movie where Trigon shows up, aka the devil! Although wait, isn't Lucifer supposed to be Satan? Ugh, the DC universe is too complicated for my brain anyway."

I said that to myself, then hopped onto my glider Rock II, and took off in the direction Flash ran. I landed on a rooftop nearby, planning to just observe. But what I saw next honestly shocked me.

Weather Wizard's body had turned red, with a strange pinkish tint, and instead of two human eyes, he now had four demonic ones. But that wasn't what surprised me most not even the crazy stuff coming out of his mouth.

"Azarath calls... the child must obey... HIS hour is coming..."

The possessed Weather Wizard slowly started levitating. Flash was so startled by the transformation that he took a step back. Then Superman showed up, saying he'd handle it.

And like I said before, it wasn't the demon's appearance or his creepy chanting that shocked me, it was the fact that when Superman flew at him to land a punch, the demonized Weather Wizard backhanded him clean through a building like it was nothing.

Superman didn't stop flying until he crashed into some poor guy's car, someone who's probably going to regret not buying superhero insurance. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that's a real thing in this world. Every time superheroes show up, something gets destroyed.

Back to the present.

So yeah, that's basically how I ended up here. Right now, I'm watching Superman slowly get back up while the demonized Weather Wizard summons a dark storm filled with black-and-red lightning.

"Ughhhh... guess I'll have to step in. What a pain in the ass... wait, could I absorb the life force of a demon? Hmm... or maybe his magic, like I did with the Trident of the King of Atlantis? Well, let's try it all."

The demonized Weather Wizard surrounded himself with a tornado, and when Wonder Woman got close, he blasted her with bolts of demonic lightning that sent her flying straight into Cyborg. The demon just scored a double kill.

I watched Superman, once again, destroy public property. He grabbed some poor guy's car and threw it at the demon. Then he rushed in with a few punches, but the demon blocked him easily and started charging what looked like an AOE attack. Black-and-red lightning crackled everywhere around him.

I got on my glider, ready to show this demon his place.

Once I got close enough, I extended my hand towards him, towards that storm of power, and focused on absorbing the Force from his demonic energy. The black-and-red lightning around him began to flicker, growing weaker and weaker. The demon looked confused... until he noticed me. That's when he realized I was the one draining his magic.

"What are you doing!?" the demon snarled, his voice distorted. I ignored him and kept absorbing every last drop of the Force from his magic.

He roared again, louder this time, and lunged straight at me, but I raised my other hand and hurled a blast of his own demonic power back at him. A massive bolt of black-and-red lightning shot from my palm, like the one I used against Orm, but even stronger.

The demon reacted quickly, though clearly caught off guard. He dodged and sent several ice spikes flying my way. I simply swung my hand, sending them all flying back at him.

He dodged again and this time unleashed a freaking tornado at me, but I just flew straight through it, jumped off my glider, and strengthened my arm with the Force before punching him square in the head. I was pretty sure Weather Wizard now had brain damage, but hey, I hoped he didn't.

The demon still wouldn't quit. Black-and-red lightning crackled wildly around his body again as he tried to electrocute me, but his bolts just slammed harmlessly into my Force barrier.

Unfortunately, our fight was interrupted, by a freaking Batwing screaming down toward us. I used the demon's body as a trampoline, launched myself back up, and landed on my glider just in time.

And the very next second... the demon was hit by the Batwing

and the whole thing exploded in a massive blast.
