Chapter 2 - New Family

With the other Deamon gone, I was left in the silence of the hospital room once more until a new screen appeared.

[Beginning system breakdown]

[Main Functions: Status: Projects the host's physical and magical abilities in a numerical rating. Additionally, it allows the host to track skill level and limitations. [Does the host have any questions?]

"No, I am fine for now, it all seems simple enough to understand for now, but can you show me my status. I wish to know my current limits," I replied after reading over the system functions.

"System, how do my stats fare against the average person?"

[Most in this world do not have mana. But Most humans have stats ranging from 7 to 12]

"I should have guessed, but there are other races than humans here?"

[Yes, Demons, Spirits, Angels, Fallen Angels, Gods, Dragon, and many more inhabit this world]

"...I see, do I know this world from my past life at all?" I questioned

[The Universe is called Highschool DxD. Quite the weird show in your world}

"...I-I see so it's this world where people get stronger the hornier they are," I sighed in response.

Thinking about the world I was now stuck in, I heard the sound of the door opening. Looking to my right, I saw a familiar woman with short grey hair and golden eyes standing at the doorway holding a fruit basket in her arms. Dressed in a red button-up top and a grey business skirt, she had a visible look of surprise on her face.

"D...Deamon...Doctor, hurry, my son has awakened!" my mother spoke with tears welling up in her eyes as she dropped the basket.

Next thing I knew, the doctor, an older gentleman, was examining for anything that would be concerning after being in a coma.

"Oh my sweet boy, you're awake...you have no idea how worried your grandmother and I were," my mother spoke as he rubbed my cheek with her hand.

Even though I knew she was truly not my mother, it felt nice. The warm embrace of a mother helps me forget about my anger, even if only for a moment.

"Well, Mr.Silva, it seems that your son is terrific except for the bruising on his arms, chest, and a hairline fracture on his leg. In my opinion, he can get checked out tomorrow after we run a few more steps and monitor him," the doctor explained.

"Thank you, Doctor...if you don't mind, I would like to have a moment alone with my son,"

"Of course, I will be right down the hall if you need anything," the doctor said with a small smile before walking away.

"Deamon...I'm sorry, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I should have been a better mother. I spent so much time working, I did not realize you were suffering alone," my mother spoke, tears running down her face as she gripped my hands.

"M-mother, don't blame yourself. I was the one who hid it from you. I did not wish to burden you anymore...Please don't cry, I promise I won't cause such a problem again," I replied, attempting to calm her.

"But why did you not come to me or grandmother...why go through it alone?" she asked, wiping her tears.

"Because you have been through so much. With father leaving and the dept to pay back i did not need to worry you. But I promise I will be strong and will help you instead of burdening you," I spoke my thought that of the other Deamon, not myself.

"Oh my sweet boy, you could never be a burden to me, not in a million years," my mother spoke, placing a small kiss on my forehead that made me think of my mother.

I began to wonder how she was doing. If she ever found out what happened to me, if she knew who had done it to me.

[Your rage is growing: +58 Rage]

Ignoring the notification, I focused on the moment.

"Also, I took you out of the school and transferred you to a new school called Kouh Academy. We will be moving in two weeks. Maybe a fresh start will help you heal better," my mother informed me.

(Kouh Academy...if I'm remembering correctly, that's the school where the main storyline takes place)

"I see...I think a change will be good," I replied

"Good...I have to go now, but I will be back tomorrow to pick you up. Just wait until your grandmother hears about this, she will smother you in hugs and food," my mother said with a small laugh.

Thinking back to my new memories of a kind and overprotective grandmother, I could not help but have a slight smirk on my face.

"I will see you tomorrow, mother, be safe," I said as she left the room
