Chapter 42 - The Sound of Madness

> ⚠️ Themes: Psychological horror, paranoia, mind games, power shift, fear, obsession.

Boss's uncle hadn't been sleeping.

The last few days blurred together—boardroom chaos, betrayal from old friends, lawyers backing out of calls, a sudden freeze on one of his main accounts.

> "It's not possible," he growled, smashing a glass of whiskey. "He's just a boy."

But he wasn't.

Not anymore.

Boss was his worst fear with a human face.

Calculating. Cold. Dangerous. Just like him—but smarter. Less patient.

And now… cruel.

---

It started with the letters.

Handwritten. No address. No fingerprints.

Each one delivered to his house—no signs of entry.

> "I see you.

I know what you did.

You're running out of days."

Then came the pictures.

Old, blurry photos of him—outside the hospital.

Watching Sea.

Then one of him asleep.

In his home.

He ripped the photo in half, rage boiling.

> "Who the hell is watching me?!"

His guards found nothing.

Surveillance? Glitched.

And worse…

He started hearing things.

---

🕯️ The Mind Games Begin

At night, the lights would flicker.

The hallway cameras looped.

He heard someone whispering Sea's name in his office—but no one was there.

One night, he walked past the mirror in his bathroom… and Sea's terrified face flashed across it for a split second.

> "It's not real," he said, gripping the sink, eyes bloodshot. "He's just bluffing. He's bluffing—"

But in his heart, he knew.

Boss was inside his walls. Inside his mind.

And there was no escaping him.

---

🔥 Meanwhile… in Boss's World

Boss stood by the large glass windows of his penthouse, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a burner phone.

A voice on the other end spoke:

> "It's working. He hasn't left his house. He thinks he's being followed."

Boss smiled slowly.

> "Good. Phase three starts tonight."

He turned toward the couch—where Sea was sitting, curled up in one of Boss's oversized sweaters.

Their eyes met.

Sea saw something terrifying in Boss's eyes. Not toward him… but for someone else.

> "Are you okay?" Sea asked quietly.

Boss sat beside him, placing a gentle hand on his thigh.

> "I'm perfect. He's almost where I want him."

Sea hesitated.

> "Are you going to… kill him?"

Boss didn't lie.

> "Yes. But not yet."

> "Because you want him to feel fear first?" Sea asked.

Boss looked at him. Then pulled him close, whispering against his ear:

> "Because fear is the only language he ever taught."

And outside, in the darkness...

Boss's uncle sat in his office, lights flickering, staring at a mirror—watching his own reflection laugh when he wasn't smiling.

He whispered to himself:

> "He's coming for me."
