Sea had heard the rumors before.
"Don't mess with him."
"He's untouchable."
"His family built this school, literally."
But none of that prepared him for the reality of seeing Boss up close for the first time.
It wasn't in the hallways or during some fancy scholarship welcome speech.
It was in the library—because of course Boss would have his own private section there. Not a room, no. A whole level. Off-limits to regular students. Off-limits to Sea.
And yet, Sea was there. Completely lost and looking for a quiet place to sit.
He opened the wrong door.
The room went still.
A deep voice, too calm to be casual, said:
"Who told you you could be here?"
Sea's breath caught. His eyes locked on the tall figure at the window, backlit by golden sunlight, dressed like he owned the whole damn city.
He didn't just look powerful.
He was power.
Black uniform jacket unbuttoned like rules didn't apply to him, lips curled in amusement like he knew everything about Sea without asking.
And those eyes.
Cold. Sharp. Hungry.
Sea backed away instantly.
"I—I'm sorry. I didn't know—"
"Clearly." Boss stepped forward slowly, like a panther toying with prey. "You're the scholarship kid, right? Sea."
Sea froze again.
He knows my name?
"You're in my school," Boss continued, voice like velvet with blades in it. "Every brick here has my name on it. Every classroom… my rules. That scholarship? My father's charity. So tell me…" he tilted his head. "Do you still think you're free?"
Sea's lips parted but no words came out.
Boss smirked, stepping close enough that Sea could smell his cologne — spicy, clean, dangerous.
"You're shaking," Boss whispered. "Cute."
Then he leaned in, close enough to brush Sea's ear.
"But next time you trespass, I won't let you leave so easily."
Sea fled, heart pounding.
And from behind the glass, Boss watched him go…
Smiling like a wolf that just found his favorite prey.
