The fantasy I thought I wanted

It was a Friday morning I was headed to the store when I bumped into him...no I mean literally bumped into him, he said excuse me I was in na rush and said my name is Proof, as he continues to talk I was staring at him in a daze because he had the most perfect set of teeth. All the while I didn't realize he was asking me my name until he said "hello" that's when I snapped back to reality and said Pudding he started laughing and said like the snack I shook my head and said exactly. As we are exchanging conversation his phone began to ring, he looks at it and takes a deep breath and puts it in his pocket and continues to talk, his phone goes off again so I ask him are you going to answer it.. It seems really important someone really wants to talk to you lol, it might be an emergency. He looks up at me and says let best it's not emergency and holds out his hand up shake. I looked at him and asked what's the best Proof then replied with your phone number I said ok and should his hand. He pulls out his phone and puts it on speaker and says yes mom what's the emergency, I started laughing because his mom said why you didn't answer the first time I called I could have been dying. He said Mom I'm at the store and you know I don't answer my phone when I'm busy but what is it you want, she said can you come by today my damn is blowing out hot air. Proof hung up his phone so fast after he curse under his breath. He looked up at me and said you lost, a bet is a bet so I grab his phone and put my number in it. We stayed there and talked for half an hour enjoying a good conversation until I looked at the time and realized I had to get going because I had a lunch date with my best friend Samantha. Time has slipped passed me and I didn't care to say the least, we finally said our goodbyes and said we would call each other that night or the next day, Little did I know that I would see Proof again that day. As I am walking into Sam's house I hear her laughing I also hear a man's voice that sounds some what familiar, as I proceed inside I see Proof sitting on my best friend couch holding my God daughter Love. My mouth dropped open and I stopped dead in my tracks, my bestie then runs up to me and hugs me very excitedly and say Pudding let me introduce you to my fiance Proof and also Love daddy. Now as you can imagine how much my mind is going through every single scenario at this moment, proof stands up and shakes my hand and say it's nice to meet you, I could not utter a single word my breathing became shallow and I told Sam I needed water so I turned around and ran into the kitchen. As I'm drinking my water I hear Sam and proof talking I take my phone out and immediately delete his phone number. I felt so guilty because this bastard was her soon to be husband, how was I going to break the news to her because if he approached me the way he did I'm pretty sure he was comfortable addressing many other women while being engaged. I had returned to the living room and sat down not trying to be wired or upset at the situation, I ask Sam I this the reason why you wanted me to come over last minute. She said yes I wanted you to meet him. I sent him to the store to pick up some items giving you some time to get here,I'm speechless at this point but when you called and told me you would be running late because of parking lot guy I said alright that's perfect because I had to finish setting up. Sam's then says you could have bought parking lot guy with you because the way you talked about him you two really hit it off. At this point I wanted the ground to swallow me up. I started choking hearing her comment... Proof put down love and walked towards me trying to pat my back, I pushed his hands away from me and whispered don't fucking touch me bastard, by this time Samantha went into the kitchen to set up the rest of the lunch, proof tried to explain himself but I was in no mood nor did I have anything to say to him. As I'm sitting in the house I'm trying my best to find a way to get out of here. God must have heard my cry because at that moment my boss calls me to see if I wanted to pick up a extra shift, I have never been more happy to hear from my boss, I jumped up ran into the kitchen and told Sam I had to go into work right now someone called off ,she was disappointed but understood. As I am leaving proof grabs my hand which I yanked it back so hard and said don't touch me ever again don't even speak to me unless your fiancee is with you and I stormed out the house. Here Iam feeling bad and guilty about this cluster fuck of shit that is happening in front of me when I had no idea or knowledge of who he is but him knowing he has a fiancee which turns out to be my best friend out of all people. Disappointed and disappointment was beyond what I was feeling..
