Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

"We'll see about that" Luna Kirsten sneers

"Mother technically Emily is 18 now and she no longer has to stay in the Alpha residence she can return to her parents former residence, she is of a legal age to take care of herself now." Logan says

"Fine, whatever. I don't want her under my roof anymore too. Get your things and get out by this evening still!" The Luna snarls.

"Yes Luna, Goodbye" I say

Pushing past the Luna, logan instructs his driver and assistant to help get the things they brought up back down again and he helped me pack up everything I wanted to keep in the room. Which wasn't much.

Not long we made our way over to the Beta residence. Logan had already instructed the Omegas to clean the place and get it neat again.

As I stepped inside my former residence, tears well my eyes as memories start drifting back to me, I let my fingers slide across all the picture frames. Willing the great memories of my adopted parents to enter my head. It was like someone opened the tap and I found myself in Logan's arms coddling me, whispering sweet nothings.

I remember crying on his shoulder, him holding me in this arms while sitting on the sofa and me drifting off to sleep. I woke up with a startle in the middle of the night and looked around. I was in my bed with Logan beside me.

I looked at his sleeping form, he looked so peaceful and handsome with his chiseled jaw line and baby boyish look, tan skin, his long eye lashes and plump lips. He looked nothing like his parents, perhaps when they were younger I guess. His mother right now wears a permanent scowl on her perfectly make-upped face and his father always stern looking and never smiling. It's like life has made them bitter.

I decide to get up and see for anything to eat. I find the 2 pizzas untouched in the kitchen as well as a fully stocked fridge and freezer, all thanks to Logan no less.

I heat up 2 slices of pizza and make myself some hot cocoa and decide to curl up on the couch. Opposite me a glint of something shiny was peaking out. I saw a box that belonged to mom at the bottom of the book shelf next to the automatic fireplace which I switched on for some heat. I got up and retrieved the box and put it onto the coffee table infront of me.

I sat down deciding if I was yet ready to go through mum and dad's things. I would probably have done so a long time ago if I never had to have left for the Pack house for a year. I eyed the box carefully and removed the lid.

Inside I found photos of us as a family and baby photos of me. In all I see the smiles of everyone who was happy. It brought tears to my eyes. Drying my eyes, I decided to move towards the huge carpet infront of the fireplace with a pillow and a plush throw that I found on the couch which still had a lingering scent of mum.
