Nathaniel's body lay still, pale and lifeless, on a white hospital bed. Machines had long stopped beeping. The heart that once protected Evan—despite betrayal, pain, and manipulation—was quiet.
Evan stood alone by the window, arms wrapped around herself. Outside, the estate grounds were in ruins, but the skies were finally clear.
"I hated you," she whispered. "But I still prayed you'd live."
No one replied.
Only silence.

Abel sat before the Board of Directors.

"Luna Heir Involved in Secret Child Scandal."

The Chairman sneered. "You've brought this company to its knees. Not only did you hide a child—you were complicit in Cassandra's illegal research."
Abel's hands remained folded. Calm.
"I didn't hide anything. I exposed it," he said coolly. "And if that makes me the villain in your story—so be it."
The Chairman slammed the table. "You are hereby suspended from all CEO duties pending further legal—"
The door flew open.
Evan.
She walked in like fire and thunder, a black envelope in hand.
"Before you seal his fate, you should know what Cassandra did in your name."
She tossed the envelope onto the table.
Inside:
A final will from Cassandra Virelli.
And the name of her last secret:
"Project Eve."

The screen flickered on.
Cassandra appeared pale, gaunt, her once icy voice now hollow.

She leaned forward.
"But I didn't lose. Because I never put all my eggs in one basket."
She held up a vial.
"Meet Eve—my final daughter. Made from Evan's DNA… and someone far more powerful than Abel Luna. She was born in secret. Raised in shadow."
A photo flashed.
A girl. Ten years old. Red eyes. Black hair.
"She doesn't know what she is yet," Cassandra said with a smile. "But she's watching."
