Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Strange Newcomer

The king of the kingdom, Aziel, had no child. He and his wife were deeply saddened, as were their parents. They tried every possible way to have a child, seeking the wisdom of healers and the blessings of priests, but fate was not on their side. Their hearts grew heavier with each passing year, and joy became a rare guest in their lives.

One day, a boat arrived at their seashore carrying five people: a man, his wife, and their three children. They begged the king to give them a place in the kingdom where they could live. They were wearing strange clothes, and mysterious signs were painted on their bodies. Because of this, the king did not want them to stay in the kingdom. Then they turned to the king's wife and pleaded with her. She was kind-hearted and gentle, and her heart melted the moment she saw the face of the newcomers' youngest child, his wide eyes brimming with fear and innocence. Moved by their situation, she spoke to her husband. Because of her request, the king finally allowed them to stay in the village.

That new family was very suspicious. They kept to themselves, spoke little, and often wandered the forest at night. What the others didn't know was that they were secretly performing satanic rituals — dark ceremonies carried out deep in the woods, hidden from the eyes of the villagers.

They always returned before sunrise, their faces calm, as if nothing had happened. But the forest began to change.

The children of the new family were also mysterious. They never played with the other children. The children were afraid of them — they said their eyes were too dark, their smiles too quiet, and they whispered to things that weren't there.

Slowly, the kingdom began to change.

Crops that once grew in abundance started to wither and rot. The animals — cows, goats, hens, even geese — were found dead near the forest's edge, their bodies cold and untouched, with no sign of what had killed them.

Fear crept into every home. The villagers began to whisper that something was wrong… deeply wrong. But no one dared speak it aloud.

Not yet.

One day, a man was found dead near the edge of the forest. His body was cold and stiff, his eyes wide open in terror. There were no wounds, no blood — only a strange mark burned into his neck, shaped like a twisted symbol no one had ever seen before.

The villagers started to think, "WHO KILLED HIM?"
