During the lunch hour, Shen Yi and Jiang Qi sat in the dining area, sharing their meal in a silence that felt deceptively peaceful. As was his habit, Shen Yi could not help but steal occasional glances at Jiang Qi. For his part, Jiang Qi tried his best to remain indifferent, though a faint, ghost-like smile haunted the corner of his lips. That tranquility was short-lived, however, as the two "intruders" disrupted the atmosphere once again.
Descending the stairs, Nico carried Jiang Lin in his arms like a prize. The younger boy refused to be silent, his mouth a constant stream of creative curses and desperate cries for release.
"I promise you, I will be your death," Jiang Lin hissed through gritted teeth. His glare, directed squarely at Nico, was unwavering and sharp. The older man merely met the look with an amused, effortless smirk.
"Can you even manage it?" Nico chuckled, shaking his head at the bravado. "Killing is not child's play, Piccolo." (Little one)
