The melon flesh flowed along the jade river channel, collected by the waiting townsfolk in bamboo baskets, and transported back to the town by carriage.
Once the melon flesh is dried, it only needs to be soaked in water to instantly return to its original state. In the winter, when there are no fresh vegetables, or while traveling, you can soak a few pieces to enjoy the delicious melons.
After the pieces of melon flesh were sent away, the Jade Fragrance Civet Cats continued their work. They reached into the melons with their paws and quickly dug out seeds that looked like tiny watermelon seeds with a jade hue.
Although called watermelon seeds, they are actually very slender.
They appear identical to rice grains.
This is the "Jade Fragrant Rice" from the Jade Fragrant Melon, with a texture indistinguishable from real rice, or perhaps even chewier and stickier.
Similar to glutinous rice.
