John drove April home slowly, April leaned on John's shoulder. She wanted to be with John for as long as she could be. After about 15 minutes they arrived at April's house, it had only taken so long because John was going slow. Normally it would only take around 7 minutes.
John parked in front of April's house and got out with her. John walked her to the door and April opened it. John then walked in with April, and they saw Lisa sitting on the couch watching a drama on TV. Lisa said, "Oh, you are finally here. Took you long enough."

Nancy waited for a while to speak. She said, "So... me and Barb are gonna study at her house tonight. That's cool, right?"

Nancy asked, "What? Why not?"
Karen said, "Why do you think? Am I speaking Chinese in this house?" Until we know Will is okay, no one leaves."
Nancy said, "This is such bullshit."
Ted said flatly, "Language."
Nancy asked, "so we are under house arrest? Just because Mike's friend got lost on the way home from..." Nancy stopped as she heard what she was saying and felt bad. John liked the little dork and she used to play with him when she was younger.
Mike said, "Wait, this is Will's fault?"
Karen said, "Nancy, take that back."
Nancy said, "I'm sorry, I didn't think."
Mike said, "You're just pissed off because you want to hang out with Steve." Nancy glared at Mike and then they both looked at their parents.
Ted said, "Steve?"
Karen said heatedly, "Who is Steve?"
Mike said, "Her new boyfriend." Karen was a little surprised by this.
Karen thought, 'I could have sworn that Nancy loved John. I can't think of anyone that could be better than John.'
Karen was broken out of her thoughts quickly as Nancy said, "You're such a douchebag, Mike!"
Ted said flatly, "Language!" Nancy groaned and stood up from her seat before she stormed off.
Karen said, "Nancy, come back. Come back!" Nancy didn't listen and continued walking. When she reached the stairs, she stomped on her way up.
Karen sighed and looked over at Holly who was a little startled by the small argument. Karen said, "It's okay. It's okay, Holly. Here, have some juice, okay?"
Ted said, "You see, Michae'? You see what happens?"
Mike got frustrated and shouted, "What happens when what? I'm the only one that's acting normal here! I'm the only one that cares about Will!"
Ted said, "That is really unfair, son. We care." Ted then stuffed a piece of chicken into his face. He didn't look concerned at all.
Will scoffed at the asshole before he stormed off to his room. Karen said, "Mike!"
Ted said, "Let him go."
Karen looked back at Todd and saw him stuffing his face without any care for how his son was feeling. Karen said, "I hope you are enjoying your chicken, Ted." Karen then picked up Holly and and walked out of the room.
Ted asked, "What did I do? Hey, what did I do?!" Karen ignored him however as she walked to Mike's room. Karen walked into Mike's room and saw Mike sitting on his bed with a scrunched-up face.
Karen said, "Sweety, I know you are worried about Will. I am too, but it is too dangerous for you to go out and look for Will."
Mike said, "I should be out there."
Karen sighed and said, "I'm sorry, but I can't allow you to."
Mike stayed quiet and looked down. Karen sighed and tried to think of a way to cheer Mike up. Karen said after a couple minutes, "You know, John is out there looking for Will."
Mike asked, "What? Really?"
Karen nodded and said, "Yep, he said he was going to join the search party." Mike cheered up a little, but he was still down.
Karen walked over to him and kissed his head before she said, "Goodnight, Sweety. I love you."
Mike said, "I love you, Mom." Karen smiled as she walked out of the room to her room. Karen walked into her room and locked the door behind her. She put a note on the outside of the door. It read, 'You're sleeping on the couch, Ted.' Karen put Holly on the bed and lay her down before she tucked her in.
Karen then walked into over to her closet and stripped her clothes off. Standing in all her glory, even though she had just had a baby a year ago she still looked hot as ever. At the meeting point, John had just pulled over to the side of the road. John saw about 16 other cars lining the road, John parked behind one of the many cars and hopped out. We will split apart from each other, about 5 feet in between each person. Then we will walk forward and look for any possible clues. Any questions?"
No one said anything, so Hopper said, "Let's get started then." Everyone nodded and they began to walk forward and spread out. John stayed near the middle close to Hopper and Mr. Clarke. John looked around and searched for any clues as he had forgotten where exactly the pipe was that led to Hawkins Lab.
Many people were shouting, "Will!" Or something similar. John also raised his voice a couple times. John could overhear an awkward conversation between Hopper and Mr. Clarke.
Mr. Clarke said, "He's a good student."
Hopper said confusedly, "What?"
Mr. Clarke said, "Will. He's a good student. Great one, actually. I don't think we've met. Scott Clarke. I teach at Hawkins middle. Earth and biology."
Hopper said, "I always had a distaste of science."

As he increased the distance he said, "Thanks for coming out, Teach. We really appreciate it." John looked at Hopper back and sighed sadly. He could only imagine if any of his kids had died slowly from sickness, and he was unable to help them.
A lady came over to Scott and said, "She died a few years back."
Scott said, "I'm sorry?"
The lady said, "His kid." The area then got quiet. John walked through the woods keeping up with everyone else, maybe even going 10 feet ahead of them. Suddenly, a wolf popped out in front of John and began to growl. Hopper saw this and was ready to shoot when he saw something peculiar.
Hopper saw the unknown man walk forward towards the wolf without fear. The man reached down and pet the wolfs head before it scurried away. This scene shocked Hopper as usually a lone wolf is the most dangerous. A lone wolf has been abandoned of lost its pack, so it moves by itself and fights with no mercy as it knows that it has no pack to come to its rescue.
Hopper looked at the man as he continued forward. Hopper got bored eventually and began to look around once more.
Back at the Wheeler's house, Mike was sitting in his room brooding when he decided enough was enough. He grabbed his radio and contacted Lucas. Mike said, "Lucas?"
Lucas answered after a second and said, "Hey, it's Lucas."
Mike said, "I know it's you. And say over when your done speaking so I know you are finished. Over."
Lucas said, "I'm done. Over."
Mike said, "I'm worried about Will. Over."
Lucas sighed heavily before he said, "Yeah... This is crazy. Over."
Mike said, "I was thinking, Will could have casted protection last night, but he didn't. He cast fireball. Over."
Lucas asked, "What's your point? Over."
My point is... he could've played it safe, but he didn't. He put himself in danger to help the party. Over."
The radio then went quiet for a while before Lucas said, "Meet me in ten. Over and out." Mike snuck his way out of his room, and it was pretty easy as his dad was focused on the TV and his mom was somewhere else.
Mike walked into the garage and grabbed his bike before he walked his bike out the side door. As he was leaving the garage, he saw Steve having trouble climbing onto the garage to get access to Nancy's window. Steve saw Mike looking at him and looked over. Mike had more important things to do however, so he turned away and began to pedal down the road.
Nancy was in her room studying when she heard noise at her window. She got up and saw Steve standing outside. She opened the window and Steve came inside clumsily. Nancy and Steve talked for a little while before they began kissing.
Eleven was sitting in the kitchen eating some strawberry ice cream while Benny cleaned the pots and pans, he had used during the day. Benny turned and looked at Eleven enjoying her ice cream. Benny said, "You like that ice cream, huh?"
Eleven smiled, her face had been cleaned of soot and it was easier to tell that she was a girl now. Benny said, "Smile looks good on you. You know, smile." Benny then smiled widely, causing Eleven's smile to grow bigger. Benny laughed before he went back to cleaning pans.
A couple minutes later, they could hear some faint knocking on the door of the diner. This startled Eleven a little. Benny said, All right. You just sit tight. Whoever it is, I'll tell 'em to go away really quick, all right?" Benny then walked out of the kitchen and made his way to the front door.
Benny arrived in at the front door and opened it to see a blonde-haired woman standing outside. Benny asked, "Hey, can I help you?"
The woman said, "Hi, you must be Benny Hammond."
Benny shook the woman's hand before he said, "I'm afraid I am. I'm afraid we're closed for the evening, too. So try back in the morning."
The woman said, "Connie Frazier. Social Services."
Benny said, "Ah, Social Services. My apologies. I didn't expect you so soon. That's a heck of a drive."
Connie said, "Not too bad this time of night."
Benny said, "Yeah. Hey, listen, I... I haven't told her that you're coming yet. I didn't want her running off again. She's a tad skittish."
Connie said, "The children I work with usaully are."
Benny said, "Right, right. "
Connie said, "So, where is she?"
Benny said, "Right. She's in the kitchen." Benny then turned around and said, "Come on up, I'll introduce you."
Connie said, "Thank you."
Benny said, "Sorry again for trying to turn you away back there."
Connie said, "It's fine."
Benny said, "You know, it's funny. Your, uh, voice sounds different on the--" Benny was unable to continue as he had shockingly been shot in the back of the head. Benny fell to the ground lifelessly, his body making a sizable thudding sound.
