500 years ago, the central continent was a bit more chaotic than it seems today.
The city of Lunareth, where the Stardust family would later establish themselves, was just one of the many scattered villages near the Dark Forest.
If you go back many centuries, one of those villages would be the birthplace of Henry Stardust.
At that time, he didn't have a last name, since, like most commoners in the world of Celestium, he hadn't been given a last name at birth.
From a young age, Henry demonstrated a talent for fighting, something that helped him survive the countless beast tides that the Valka region faced.
However, unfortunately, over the years, the beast tides increased in strength and frequency, costing Henry his family and many other inhabitants.
After losing his loved ones, Henry embarked on a journey across the central continent, where he grew stronger. By the time he turned 400, he was already renowned across the continent, especially in Lysandria.
During one of his journeys, he met an extremely talented and beautiful woman.
At that time, this woman was incredibly famous and talented for her great strength, having reached the Holy Kingdom at just over 500 years old.
That woman was Kassandra Lionheart, a member of the royal family and the most likely candidate to ascend to the throne.
She had always been a woman with a strong temperament, but that didn't stop her from having a long list of suitors that could span the entire continent.
Yet, despite all her temperament and great talent, she ended up falling in love with a commoner with whom she spent many years of her life traveling and fighting.
Upon learning of this, many noble houses from both Lysandria and the rest of the kingdoms of the central continent decided to unite and speak out to prevent a relationship between Henry and Kassandra.
Kassandra, besides being considered extremely beautiful, had something else: marrying her meant marrying the future queen of one of the strongest kingdoms in the world, the Kingdom of Lysandria.
Thanks to these nobles with ulterior motives, Henry and Kassandra endured numerous difficulties for over a century.
Until the breaking point came. One night after Kassandra went to meet with the royal family, a group of masked men ambushed Henry.
In that ambush, he ended up with very serious injuries. Fortunately, Kassandra arrived in time, or he could have died.
She was completely enraged. So much so that she almost instantly killed everyone who ambushed her lover.
After transporting him to a safe place, she headed for the capital. Upon arriving, she entered the palace directly and began a large-scale slaughter of all the members of the royal family who had conspired with the other noble houses to try to separate her from Henry.
That night, a large part of the royal palace burned to the ground, and the scene was like purgatory on earth.
The carnage was so intense that the ancestors of the royal family had to come out of their seclusion to try to stop her, something she took as a personal challenge, leading to even more fights that caused significant damage to the capital of Lysandria, the city of Elarion.
Fire dragons and thousands of weapons were seen adorning the night sky of the kingdom's capital, each radiating an aura terrifying to terrifying to both ordinary citizens and cultivators.
To the surprise of many, that battle was won by Kassandra, who not long before had managed to enter the late stage of the Holy Realm, and used her power in that realm to fight the demigod ancestors.
Although Kassandra was filled with rage, she still retained her love for her country, so she only wounded the ancestors and retreated.
They didn't stop her either. It wasn't that they didn't want to; they couldn't. After leaving the palace that same night, the slaughter didn't end. Approximately 30% of Lysandria's noble houses at that time disappeared in her wrath.
This anger also spread to the neighboring kingdoms, which lost both nobles and members of the royal family. All of them were involved in Henry's incident.
That night, Kassandra made a name for herself not only on the central continent but also throughout the rest of the world. A saint who fights a demigod and still wins.
Furthermore, her brutality made her notorious. Almost no one on the continent dared to think anything of her.
That night was called The Crimson Judgment.
After that night, even the king who ruled Lysandria abdicated and passed the throne to another branch of the royal family.
All of this was the product of the anger of a woman in love.
In fact, Henry himself was shocked when he learned this. While he was in a coma from his injuries, Kassandra devastated the central continent for him.
The two then decided to stay in one of the settlements in the Valka region and protect the people from the beastly tides coming from the Dark Forest.
Over the years, the small settlement grew into a village and then a large city.
This wouldn't have worked if Kassandra's reputation hadn't spread enough to attract many people to want to live under her wing.
In the process, Henry decided to found the Stardust family to provide a new home for the woman who was willing to destroy the world for him.
Since the Valka region was basically an abandoned region due to its dangers, they didn't encounter much resistance when it came to creating their family and expanding Lunareth City.
But as they grew older, the other nobles realized the region's enormous potential. The Dark Forest was a nearly unexplored territory, with vast amounts of accumulated resources, from magical plants to rare minerals.
The monsters seemed almost endless, providing both training experience for warriors and mages, as well as vast quantities of special resources for blacksmiths and alchemists.
Although many grew greedy over the years upon seeing the benefits, they still remembered the horror of the Crimson Judgment that shook the central continent. Therefore, their ideas were heavily repressed.
Likewise, they knew they lacked the strength to stem the tides of beasts and go cause trouble in the territory Kassandra and Henry were guarding.
Thanks to Kassandra and Henry, peace exists in the Valka region. It is a legacy built in blood and fire.
Thanks to them, Lunareth exists, the city that is now called the City of Adventurers.
