Scene opens in the same conference room at Hololive HQ. The sun has risen higher—no longer the soft hues of early morning, but a bright, intense glare pouring through the window. Several Hololive staff members (all female) sit at the long oval table, stacks of files now replaced with digital screens showing profiles, livestream clips, and statistics.
A-chan: Typing rapidly on her laptop, her glasses reflecting the screen "We've already exhausted every viable female candidate. Now, we shift focus."
Manager 1: Rubbing her eyes "We're seriously considering men now...? I don't know if it'll sit well with the board…"
Manager 2: Shrugs, sipping from a coffee mug that says "I Survive Idol Chaos Daily" "The board wanted results, not another idol."
Manager 3: "Let's at least look. We've gone this far…"
A large monitor flickers to life on the wall. A-chan starts pulling up male streamers, entertainers, academics, and influencers.
Manager 2: Scrolling through a file "This guy graduated from Tokyo U with a genius-level IQ, but he's a total shut-in. Refused every job offer since."
Manager 1: "That sounds... familiar."
A-chan: "Too unmotivated."
The next profile appears—a pro gamer.
Manager 3: "Top 0.01% in PvP. Has the mindset of a war general."
Manager 1: "Banned for toxic behavior in three different games."
A-chan: "Next."
Dozens of profiles are displayed, analyzed, discarded. Most are too reckless, too prideful, or lacking emotional restraint. Some are overly extroverted, others too apathetic.
Time passes. The vibe in the room turns heavy.
Manager 2: Slumps forward "We've been at this for hours…"
Manager 1: Face buried in the desk "I didn't sign up for a talent scavenger hunt…"
Manager 3: "I think I lost three years off my life…"
A-chan leans back, her fingers steepled beneath her chin, deep in thought.
A-chan (internally): All of them… disqualified by their own extremes. Either too weak or too arrogant. There must be someone… someone balanced. Someone unexpected.
Suddenly, a memory strikes.
Suisei (in A-chan's flashback): "...a boy. I don't know who he is or how he got Pekora's attention, but he's been hanging out with her. It worries me…"
Flashback ends.
A-chan: Eyes widening slightly behind her glasses "There's one last person to review."
Everyone in the room turns toward her.
Manager 2: "Huh?"
Manager 3: "Who?"
A-chan: Stands up and walks toward the whiteboard, writing down a name she only just remembered "We don't know much about him. Only that he's a boy, lives alone, and somehow got involved with Usada Pekora. No background. No data. Just an anomaly."
Manager 1: "You mean… that random civilian Suisei was obsessing over?"
A-chan: Smirks faintly "Exactly. Suisei's instincts are sharp. And if he was able to keep up with Pekora for more than five minutes… then he's not just some background character."
Manager 2: "Do we even know his name?"
A-chan: "We'll find it by tomorrow. For now…" she turns to the group "Rest. Tomorrow, we decide."
Scene ends with everyone silent, their tired expressions slowly giving way to curiosity.
The final panel is of the whiteboard, now clean except for one scribbled line of text, underlined:
"Last Option – The Boy With Pekora"
