Chapter 4 - Persistent Princess

Scene opens on a sunny morning, outside Yukio's apartment.

Yukio (Internally):

Walking calmly across the street

"There's this new offer at the store — 100 chocolate bars and 25 instant noodles for just 3,500 yen. Can't miss that special deal, only 100 in stock."

Yukio adjusts his jacket, eyes focused, serene.

Suddenly, Pekora appears beside him, almost out of nowhere.

Pekora (cheerful, loud):

"Hey, hey, Yukio-kun! What are you doing here, walking all alone? Don't worry! I, Usada Pekora, will happily accompany you, peko!"

Yukio glances at her briefly but keeps walking faster.

Pekora (Internally, shocked):

"Eh?! He ignored me?! Doesn't matter, I'll try again!"

Pekora (louder):

"Hey Yukio-kun! You know… it's rude to ignore people like that!"

Yukio quickens his pace, ignoring her completely.

Yukio (Internally, frustrated):

"Oh god. Why does this popular and persistent chick keep following me even though I'm ignoring her? Doesn't matter, I'll avoid her no matter what."

Pekora (Internally, determined):

"Again?! This guy is so mean! But I won't give up!"

Pekora quickens to match his pace.

Pekora:

"Hey, Yukio-kun! Stop ignoring m—"

Suddenly, a loud commotion — a horde of screaming fans surrounds Pekora, pushing her into a crowd.

Pekora (Internally, panicking):

"Why did this have to happen right now?! But well... they're my fans, I love my fans! Can't ignore them."

Yukio side-eyes the scene behind him, sighing deeply.

Yukio (Internally, sarcastic):

"Thank you, Fans-kun. Now I finally have some peace to grab that special offer, which ends in an hour."

Scene shifts to inside the crowded store. Pekora tries to weave through the fans but keeps getting pushed back. Her eyes scan for Yukio.

Pekora (Internally, desperate):

"He's gotta be around here somewhere... I can't let him get away!"

After a tense minute, she spots Yukio near the snack aisle, calmly picking up chocolate bars.

Pekora (loud whisper):

"Yukio-kun!"

Yukio stiffens, trying to move faster, but Pekora gently grabs his sleeve.

Pekora (cheerful):

"See? I'm not so bad, right? Walking with me is fun!"

Yukio (flat):

"I'm not interested. Please let go."

Pekora smiles sheepishly but stays close.

Pekora (Internally):

"He's so blunt... but I like that honesty."

Suddenly, Yukio looks down to find the last chocolate bar he wanted—gone. Another shopper grabbed it first.

Yukio (frustrated):

"Great, just great."

Pekora (apologetic):

"Oh no, I'm sorry, Yukio-kun. I didn't mean to mess things up-peko."

Yukio (brutally honest):

"You know what? I don't care who you are. Idol, princess, or whatever. You're just another person bothering me."

Pekora's smile falters, hurt flashing in her eyes.

Pekora (softly):

"That was... really mean, Yukio-kun."

Yukio notices the hurt expression and feels a sudden pang of regret.

Yukio (hesitant, quieter):

"Yeah, maybe I went a little too far... I'm sorry. I-I said it without thinking."

He fidgets awkwardly.

Yukio (still hesitant):

"Maybe... I'll watch one of your livestreams. Just to understand."

Pekora's face brightens instantly, eyes sparkling.

Pekora (excited):

"Really?! That's so cool-peko! I promise you'll have fun!"

Yukio nods slightly, then starts walking away.

Yukio (Internally):

"Why is she so persistent? Guess I have no other option..."

Scene fades out with Pekora waving enthusiastically, and Yukio walking off into the bustling city streets.
