~In the grand halls of an opulent castle towering above a kingdom in the skies lived two sisters.
One was constantly absent from said castle, finding joy in holding tournaments and interacting with her people. Her bright eyes and flaming hair were impossible to ignore. But what truly made her stand out was the light emanating from her pure heart and spirit. It was as blinding as the sun.
The other sister, on the other hand, lived more in seclusion, never truly interacting with her people. She observed all and judged all. Nothing in the world could escape her sight. Her presence was as cold and constant as the three moons in the sky.
Both were one of the gods formed by the world: Langa, the sun goddess, and Kamaria, the Luna goddess~
"What does all this have to do with how you basically turned into some flaming warrior?" I asked in weary confusion.
The battle with that reminant didn't last long. He ended it with one move once he transformed. Almost burnt my hair off in the process. Though I couldn't even look in his direction because of the blinding light he emitted.
"How come you don't know anything that's common knowledge?" He said, sighing in disappointment as his story was disturbed.
"I told you I am not from around here, and why did you restrain me? It's not like I pose a threat!" I complained letting out a huff as I trudged along following his lead.
"Don't cry, I only restrained your hands after all," he said, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, "Plus, what you saw back there was my Grace. It's a power that gods bestow upon mortals."
" You could have just said that instead of giving me a lengthy backstory, " I retorted.
"Come on it wasn't that long, " He replied with a mocking grin.
We had walked for a while, the sun had set but the sky was as blue as day. A piercing gaze that seemed to study my every being fell upon me as soon as we stepped foot out of the forest.
Accompanied by it was a bone-chilling breath that brushed the hairs on my neck.
Shifting slightly, in my awareness of its presence, it seemed to be taken aback.
"Well in any case we are almost at the kingdom of Helunaris.." he paused
"And you are to be brought in for trial"
"Fine, fine. It's not like I'm guilty of anything anyway," I retorted, "At least give me your name so that I can blame someone for reducing all those dead bodies left on the ground to ash"
He let out a light chuckle before saying," It's Liam... Liam Hemsworth. And you are?"
"Ellen... Just Ellen."I answered
"Okay 'Just Ellen,' nice to meet you"
"Hey!" I exclaimed, " 'Just' isn't part of my name it's Ellen got it"
Another light chuckle escaped his lips, "I know I was just messing with you."
The rest of the walk to Helunaris was plagued with silence, though it was short-lived.
"We are here, welcome to the capital city of the Kingdom of Helunaris," he announced.
"Wow," I grasped. My attention was immediately captured by how beautiful the plain field and the mountain pass merged with the city.
Its complexity resembled that of a spider web.
The off-putting ever constant gaze grew stronger.
As we drew closer to the city gate, my senses were flooded with a sense of unease. And each step I took was one of uncertainty.
"Something isn't right," Liam said, his voice filled with caution as he signaled for me to stop walking.
The city gates slowly opened and out came soldiers clad in heavy dark armor. Among them was a woman with a slender frame and dark short hair in a light white arm.
"Ah, Liam, we have been expecting you," she said, unsheathing her fencing sword that was bound at her hip.
"What's all this about?" Liam asked, his hand ready to draw his blade.
"Well, this doesn't really concern you, Liam," she said as her almond-shaped eyes flattered my way, "By order of the Luna goddess, I am to escort that descender you have with you, Liam."
Liam instantly backed away from me the fear stretched his movement dramatically upon hearing the words descender or Luna goddess.
"The hell, man, don't leave me just like that, I told you I am harmless," I replied angrily to his sudden movement.
"Good boy," The woman said as Liam backed away, "now come along, descender. We shouldn't keep the Luna goddess waiting. "
Looks like I have no choice. But why does she keep calling me a descender? Have they already figured out I am not from this world?
I took a step towards her. Then, from atop the city wall, a voice roared:
"SHE BELONGS TO ME!!!!"
And a body came crashing down in front of me, causing a cloud of dust to rise in the area.
