Chapter 1 - Chapter Zero: Guidance.

There was once a land, vast and wide,

Rich and calm,

And home to Four.

A mother and the 3 of her kin,

the mother took care of her children sole.

The children were kind, they took it from her.

But they were cursed, they took it from her.

One was cursed with Hollowness , Emptiness, and the communications of substances of this realm, allowing them to gaze into what others deem unliving.

The other was cursed with overflowing Emotions, the tears of happiness and the laughter of grief, the wrong of the provoked and the gratitude of solitude.

And the last was cursed with the perception of the flow of the realms, the events it will succumb too, perceiving from the minute seconds to the years that will pass by.

These 3 children were named according to a Guidance they will follow.

The perception of Matter, Void.

The perception of Soul, Abyss.

The perception of Progress, Time.

The mother, giving them these roles, knew that her duty as a mere caretaker was over. She fell ill one night, and witnessed the blessing in what the living call Death.

The children carried her Legacy, expanding this ideal of roles for each Guidance. They took on to find more people able to bear such roles.

They found a child, a child that held a figure of age. He seemed wise, yet youthful at the same moment. He expressed his love of change, the beaming aura of a different person, the change of a person. That is what he desires. And so they gave him the role of…

The perception of Growth, Light.

With their new member they set out to find the rest of the people suitable for the rest of the Guidances.

They came across two children, a boy and a girl, sister and brother.

The brother, filled with hatred of the evil in the world. He saw what others couldn't, if someone misbehaved, was acting cruel or even being unfair. He kept this feeling within himself ablaze, claiming the role of…

The perception of Wrath, Flame.

And the sister, filled with determination to keep the people within the justice of the world, preventing others from getting out of line and yearning for an equal world, yet still having a fluid personality to keep the lawful right and the chaotic wrong. Allowing her to claim the role of…

The perception of Law, Aqua.

The group of children was expanding exponentially, they only needed a few more roles to be filled.

And so they kept to their journey, to find the next Guidances bearer.

They found a boy with an unusual look, a single eye, a single ear and a single arm. Incomplete — like a painting left mid-stroke, a song missing its final note. He knew this, wore it like a badge, and in defiance, carved himself into something whole. His voice echoed louder because it had to — and thus, he became the bearer of…

The perception of Echo, Rift.

The group of children seemed to have found all the people they needed for each Guidance, they considered their journey complete.

They kept their roles dear to them.

Void with the Guidance of Matter,

Abyss with the Guidance of Soul,

Time with the Guidance of Progress,

Light with the Guidance of Growth,

Flame with the Guidance of Wrath,

Aqua with the Guidance of Law

and Rift with the Guidance of Echo.

The group of children wanted people to follow their Guidances, whether along or beside them, they needed followers to become their true selves. So they sent their Guidances to their people, the "Humans." and gave the people who wanted to follow a power like no other.

The Divergent Source.

They kept this power scarce, only giving it to the humans they could trust. They didn't know who was worthy of such power so they gave it to specific people

People who were made for the Guidances.

People who will do anything to preserve and protect the Guidance.

The Primordials.

7 individuals who can give their powers at death to who they may please allowing the Guidance to live on as long as it is inherited to a new and worthy owner.

The children succeeded in their mission, the 3 siblings' mothers would be proud. And as they rest from their long and tiring journey, they can only think about what their mother is thinking right now.

The end.

How did you like that Vathra?

Was it a good story?

Your brother used to beg me to read it every night, but I'm sure you're no different.

Oh you did like it, well I'm glad you did.

Huh? What Guidance do you think you will take?

Oh well only Time can tell, though between you and me-

I think you'll end up Abyssal like me.

But don't tell your dad, ok?

Hehe, sleep well my dear child.
