Chapter 0: Origins
.
.
.
Quirks are such curious things, aren't they? 200 years ago, the first quirk appeared in the form of a glowing baby. Before long, the phenomenon swept the world into chaos as more and more people awakened these mysterious powers. Sides started to form, violemce spilling over into the streets as people turned the roadways into warzones and gangs fought over petty grievances, territory, and most of all to prove their strength.
.
Eventually, a group of people rose up above the rest to combat this chaos. Instead of using their powers for selfish means they put their lives on the line to bring peace. However, despite their eventual success, it was a very long and bloody conflict. 20 years this war raged, till finally the gangs were dispatched and rounded up as peace was finally restored. Thanks to this conflict much of our history in this era is completely lost to us. What wasn't destroyed in the flames of evolutionary chaos, was burried under mountains of secrecy by the government, desperate to make the memories disappear.
.
For the most part it worked. The majority of the survivors were too young to remember the war, many becoming orphans from the conflict while still in their dipers. Those that could died without ever spilling many details, taking their memories to their graves. Nobody knows for sure why, but scholar discussions never went far. Pressure from higher powers prevented them from diverting enough resources and it simply wasn't worth the trouble going through to find the truth.
.
It took a while, but life slowly returned to normal. Once the dust settled, the same brave group of people who took to the streets were granted the title of "Heroes" by the world. Governments quickly set up systems to provide support and funds for these heroes and started seeking out quirked individuals to hire to act as saviors of the public.
.
As time went on, quirks only got more powerful and complex. However, our understanding of them remained incredibly limited. Scientists were simply more focused on making things that work with quirks that they never really stopped to think about the how or why quirks work. What we do know however, is that it came from a mutation in the human genome. Dubbed the 'Quirk Gene' for lazy reasons, it caused the human body to develop adaptations for a specific powers. However, each quirk gene is unique in its own way. To this day it still baffles scientists how this gene is completely unique in every single subject.
.
Sure, quirks can look the same. But ultimately they all have subtle differences. Even if its a simple change in potency or potential. Eventually scientists stopped trying to understand quirks and simply accepted that they existed. While scientists moved on to trying to incorporate quirks into their technology, every other facet of life started to revolve around quirks. Strength quirks worked in construction, mining, carpentry. Intelligence quirks worked in hero tech, hospitals, colleges. Destructive quirks worked in waste management and disposal of unwanted materials. Those that had the balls to face death on the daily however? They continued to be heroes, now monetized by the government to fight dangerous quirk users now called 'Villians'.
.
Today, Heroes are more than just protective shields of the innocent. They were now bonifide celebrities! They made bank in advertisements, TV shows, merchandise, nowadays being a hero can be a lucrative career if you're good enough and charming enough. This created fandoms and further inflated the hero hype. 200 years after the first quirked child, you can hardly tell quirks weren't always a part of our society.
.
Todays Heroes are ranked on a letter grading scale. It goes from D being the Lowest to S being the highest. The full scale goes D, C, B, A, then S. D-ranks usually are only able to handle simple street crimes like muggings or drunk assaults by random civilians. Really they are glorified police officers, usually left to do the paperwork. C-rankers are significantly better, typically able to handle full minor gang operations by themselves with some being able to handle moderately powerful quirks. However, typically their quirks are either limited or barely trained meaning they either dont have much potential for growth or are to lazy to try. If you dont break B-rank by the end of your first year you'll probably be stuck in C for the rest of your life.
.
B-rank is were you start to see a variety. From your stong solo villian attackers to the rescue specialist, most everyone here has a strong or versatile quirk. Most of your top 100 heroes in the world are in this category. A-rank and up is almost exclusively filled with quirks built for battle. These are the heroes that respond to emergency calls for villians other heroes already failed to defeat. If they are nearby they are the first called for backup for a reason. Give or take 50 heroes worldwide boast this rank.
.
The pinnacle of the ranking system, however, is S-rank. There are a total of 10 heroes in this rank, the most in the history of quirks recorded. Originally, A-rank was tbe pinnacle, but soon quirks adapted beyond the rank of A, with S-rank quriks being powerful enough to level city blocks or incapacitate wirh increadible efficiency. The most powerful of all being All Might. With the power to change the weather with a single punch, he could rival nations with his sheer power, breaking the scale.
.
In this world, the powerful are worshipped. Heroes are loved and praised, with the strong being the most important in society. One fateful day, at a hospital in Musutafu, a young women wirh green hair was laid down on a hospital bed as she clenched her teeth trying to ignore the pain. To her right was a nurse, who she was holding onto for dear life. Another doctor was positioned at the end of the bed, where her legs where held up as he waited for the baby to arrive. This young womans name is Inko Midoriya. She has a simple attraction of small objects quirk, though that's not entirely accurate. However, its all shes ever been able to do so she never tried to do anything else with it.
.
Her late fiancé sadly died in an overseas trip one month after she had discovered her pregnancy. Hisashi Midoriya was not a very welthy or reputable man, but Inko fell for his charm anyway. When he discovered Inkos pregnancy he dropped all his usually goofing around and tried to find a job to support his family. He was on his way to America when the ship sank mysteriously. All bodies where recovered, but the victims families, including Inko, where devastated.
.
After hours of pushing, she finally gave birth to a boy. He had matching green hair, but brighter, almost emerald instead of her forest green. The tips of his curly tuft was white, from his father. Inko quickly took her child, cradling him to her chest as she looked into her boys closed eyes. "Oh...my beautiful baby boy..." Her voice is strained and hoarse, tired from the very long pregnancy process. As she was looking into his closed eyes they slowly open, revealing deep emerald pools that could suck you in and drown you in a sea of grean. He doesn't cry, instead he looks up at her almost curiously wirh those deep, vast, emerald eyes.
.
As she looks down at him, she smiles down at him as she stubbornly clings to consciousness, overcoming exhaustion to continue to hold her boy close. "Izuku...I just know you will be something special."
Chapter 1: The Strongest
.
.
.
Late in the afternoon, we see young Izuku on his way home from school. Over the years, thanks to the attention of his mother and his very powerful quirk he was treated with awe and reverence wherever he went. His hair remained the same throughout his child hood, with his eyes staying that startling deep void of green. He, at the moment, had his eyes covered by thick black glasses as the rest of his uniform featuring a black blazer, white undershirt, and black slacks all hastily thrown on. Next to him walked his best friend Katsuki Bakugo, a fiery young man with plenty of snark and ego to match the best. He had ash blond hair and red eyes that were almost always fixed in a glare of some sort.
.
Both of these boys have one thing in common: since they were old enough to walk they have been labeled the strongest.
.
Bakugo got the S-rank quirk Explosion, his body secretes a substance similar in composition to nitroglycerin when he sweats, which he can spark to life from the palms of his hands. Despite his age he can produce explosions large enough to rock buildings and the battle prowess to use his simple yet powerful quirk with incredible versatility. This has caused Bakugo, from the moment he manifested his quirk, to be praised for his strength and potential.
.
Izuku Midoriya however, had something that shook the very concept of quirks to their core. The Six Eyes, an eye based quirk granted to him from birth that is always active no matter what. It grants him a perfect memory with anything he sees, and boost his vision allowing him to see several kilometers away. It also can slow down his perception of reality to a crawl, allowing him to take in everything they see and process it in less than a second. However, the most confusing ability they possessed was their ability to see quirks at the atomic level.
.
See, these eyes allow him to see the flow of someones quirk through their body, like a river of energy. Izuku personally has dubbed this quirk energy. As the only and first person to see it, for a while everyone thought it just gave him quirk prediction abilities. However, they were very wrong. See, quirks are not very well researched, as many gave up on the why and how quirks work. Quirk energy is created by consuming the body's regular energy and converting it to quirk energy through a small organ sown into the heart. The quirk factor then gives us the ability to automatically transform this energy into power. Depending on the quirk factor, the body would mutate to use it more effectively, though sometimes it mutates just to mutate.
.
Izuku is the only one able to see this. His eyes reveal it all to him, the way the energy shifts wildly in most, completely unaware they are able to control this energy and push their quirks even further beyond their perceived limits. This is how quirk evolutions happen after all. Its only once a hero can completely control the flow of their quirk energy that they can use their quirk to maximum efficiency. These great eyes of Midoriya allow him to see it all, but ultimately they are a mutation to allow him to use his actual quirk.
.
Limitless. The ability to bring ifinity to reality with just a thought. He can manipulate space in a variety of ways, able to control his quirk energy at an atomic level thanks to theSix Eyes allowing him to see details no one else can. His perfect control essentially prevents him from ever getting tired or suffering the drawbacks of Limitless, and his slowed down perspective and enhanced brain capacity allow him to preform the complex equations necessary to use thelimitless properly. These quirks combined broke the scale, just like All Might did in his debut. Each borderline S-rank on their own, combined made them one of the best quirks to ever exist.
.
The green haired boy sighed dramatically as he leaned on his friend in mock mourning as the Blond boy simply growls in annoyance. "I can't believe it Kachan! They killed the main characters love interest! Its only the second movie..." Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo are on their way home from the movies, having been dragged there by Midoriya himself. "Shut the hell up Deku! Stop wasting my time with your shitty rom com horror flicks!" Bakugou, for obvious reasons, was furious. He was planning on doing some training before he was dragged away by his...friend? Yeah, friend.
.
"Relax Kachan, its not like anyone will be able to stop us at the exam. We're the strongest." A cocky wide grin adorns Izukus face as he finally straightens himself to walk beside Bakugou. "I'm sure whatever we get thrown at will be so easy it's boring." He simply receives a glare from Bakugo, thoroughly annoyed with his compatriot already. "I don't care, I'd rather train then spend my afternoon watching soft core horror porn." A rain cloud seems to hover over his head as he pouts dramatically. "So mean Kachan!"
.
Through their bickering they walk under a bridge, taking a shortcut towards their home before suddenly stopping. "This seems like a good spot, hey Deku! Mind if I take care of the losers following us?" Izuku simply laughs as they both turn towards the entrance of the bridge tunnel as 10 men seemingly armed with knives block that exit. Behind them another group of 10 appeared blocking the other way out. If it we're any other 14 year old teenagers, they might have pulled it off.
.
"Sure thing Kachan, just don't go overboard again. Aunty Mitsuki doesn't want to pay for any more property damage until you're in UA." Bakugo shrugs off his black blazer, deciding he doesn't want to risk messing it up. He doesn't care much for his clothes getting damaged but his mother is a different story. His dress shirt is short sleeved so at least his quirk shouldn't destroy it. As he cracks his knuckles Izuku takes Bakugo's jacket and walks to the side casually tossing it to the ground. "I don't need you to tell me that Deku!" Then an explosion rocked through the tunnel as Bakugou shot himself like a rocket towards the thugs landing a haymaker that sends a full grown man skidding across the ground slamming into a building as an insane grin adorns the blonds face. No one else makes a move, too stunned and scared, expecting some easy targets. "You should move by the way." Another explosion rocks the tunnel as he blasts the ground at his feet sending the group surrounding him flying.
.
Their allies across the tunnel started to finally move, wanting to rush to grab their group and get the hell out when Izuku blocks their path. "Come on, you're not actually going to ignore me are you?" A joyful, all too innocent grin adorns his face as the men continue their charge with knives raised. However, when they go to stab him he doesn't budge as they feel their attack stopped by literally nothing. They dont feel any resistance, yet they can't move even an inch closer. Izuku's grin widens to an almost sadistic degree. "What's wrong, having a little trouble?" With a flick of his wrist the thugs feel an invisible force pull them back, flinging them back down the corridor. Izuku slowly walks towards them, the smile never leaving his face. "Come on, I'm not even trying! Tell your what, I'll even give you all another free shot."
.
Before the battle can heat up too much however, a small group of random C rank heroes arrive that heard the commotion as they quickly intervene apprehending the mostly injured thugs. Before the heroes can even talk to the two young men they were walking off bickering again. "I thought I told you I would take care of things Deku!" Bakugo was pissed the fight was over, barely even able to stretch his legs and really get into it before it was interrupted. "But Kachaaaan! They were so weak and I was so bored!" Izuku was whining dramatically like always, and Bakugou was grumbling like always. Just another day for two children blessed with far too much power at a very young age.
.
Eventually they split ways, Bakugo heading to his parents house and Midoriya heading to his mothers apartment. As they part, their minds drift to the entrance exam in 10 months. Both are supremely confident in their personal abilities, both with and without their quirks. Both believed whatever exam they got would be a cake walk. However, it's the start of both their dreams. Despite supreme confidence, they can't help the anticipation creeping into their bones.
.
.
.
10 months later...
.
.
.
The days passed in a blur as the two threw themselves into training. Izuku primarily focused on his physical skills, working his body like a slave driver to maximize his durability and power. Bakugou focused on his control and precision while also increasing his quirk stamina. Both barely attended school, only going enough and doing well enough to not risk their record. Considering their grades were always perfect anyways, they never had any absences put in the system. They spent this time instead studying physics and matter, Izuku studying them to further his knowledge on his quirk's possibilities and Bakugo focusing on physics to improve his ability to use explosions to enhance his movements. Before long, they are standing before the massive building of UA, ready to take on whatever the school has to throw at them.
Chapter 2: Reveal
Ochako Uraraka is having a very bad morning. After rushing out the house in a hurry for the exam, she wasn't paying attention and slipped on the slick wet ground. It rained recently, and the temperature dropped low enough to make a thin sheet of ice layer the concrete where she was walking making her fall flat on her rear. To make matters worse, when she tried to stop at her favorite cheap Mochi place she forgot it was closed for renovations. She scowled to herself before perking up, trying to put her grievances and doubts out of her mind as she looked up at the massive gates before UA. She took a deep breath taking one step forward towards her dream...
.
But she didn't look down, causing her to once again fall, this time face first on the stairs. As she groans getting up, she hears snickers from he right, turning her head to see a green haired boy and blond haired kid walking away with the green one laughing at her misfortune. She blushes vigorously, embarrassed at slipping here of all places. "Argh, god damnit Ochako! Get it together!" She smacks her cheeks, putting on a serious face as she walks into the academy to find where the written test was.
.
3 hours later...
.
All the teachers where gathered around in a monitor room, waiting for the second round to begin. At a desk in that room sat Nezu, a hybrid rodent mammal of some kind with a quirk that severely enhances his intelligence to levels beyond human capabilities. While not having the ability to slow down his perception of time, his brain still works at incredibly fast rates as it neatly organizes each peice of information he gains, no matter how small, in the infinite library of his mind. Also in the room were a wide variety of A-rank heroes.
.
"Can we start already Nezu? All the kids are getting restless, they want action." A blond with his hair slicked up like a cockatoo spoke, while obviously trying to be quiet his voice filled the room. "Be patient Yamada, I am still reviewing a few examines tests. They are truly interesting." Nezu, despite his appearance, is quite old for a rodent. He has seen just about everything. But many of this year's prospects have extremely powerful and versatile quirks. Not to mention two particularly fascinating students as he looks over the tests of Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. The only two ever to get perfect scores on the exam.
.
A man dressed in all black steps forward from where he was hiding in the corner of the room. His hair is scruffy and unkept, his eyes showing just how tired he was. "For once I agree with Present Mic on this. I'm tired and wasting time is irrational." From behind him, a curvaceous woman in a skin tight purple costume suddenly drapes her arms over his shoulders as a vein in his forehead pops out. "Relax Eraser, you know how Nezu is with his paperwork." Her voice was dripping wirh fake sensuality, simple teasing as he pushes her off and walks closer to the now dubbed Present Mic.
.
Finally putting his papers away, he nods towards Mic. "Alright Yamada, you may start the exam."
.
.
.
Uraraka couldn't believe the scale of UA. Standing before the false city, her nerves ablaze from the anticipation. She tried taking deep breaths to calm herself but it only made things worse as her mind started spiraling. She needed to make it, otherwise she can never achieve her goal. Just as she is about to loose her mind to her own insecurities she hears someone shouting. "What on earth do you think you're doing!" Her head snaps to her right, seeing a blue haired boy shouting at the same green haird kid she saw at the entrance as he was...walking around on his hands?
.
"Relax, I'm not hurting anyone. Besides speedy, shouldn't you be thinking about the exam?" The blue haired boy, who on closer inspection had engines in his calves, continued to shout at and berate the boy as ge continued to walk around on his hands. "It is disrespectful to this great school that you treat the exams so lightly! Not to mention your distracting other participants!" The green haired boy had a cocky yet jovial smirk on his face. She then noticed his glasses. 'Strange, those look incredibly dark. The sun isn't even out, it's cloudy...is that his quirk?' Suddenly the boy flipped back up to his feet as he brushed his hands on his pants. "Fine Mr. Stick in the mud. But for the record, they didn't notice till you got all upity about it."
.
The distraction helped clear her mind and lighten her spirit as she turned back towards the doors to the city as they suddenly open. The speakers crackle to life as they all hear Present Mic's voice fill the area. "Listen up kiddies! You already know the rules: No attacking other examinees, take as many robots as you can! Ready? Go!" Not everyone reacted right awat, only a small handful jumped straight into action while the rest sat back confused.
.
"Don't just stand there! Countdowns only exist in video games, go! Go! GOOOOO!" With that the rest jumped to action as Ochako quickly falls behind as she goes a different path from the rest hoping for uncontested points. 'I have to succeed...for my dream and for my family!'
.
.
.
Meanwhile, on top of the tallest building stood a lone figure with green hair with faint white tips as he stares down at the city. His glasses are in his hands, his emerald eyes blazing as they scan below. "So, we have thirty 3-pointers, sixty 2-pointers, and a hundred 1-pointers. I should only need 70 points to guarantee a spot, so that means..." he does the quick math, trying to find the fastest route to this number. "...ten 3-pointers and five 2-pointers. Not to mention the big ugly underground somewhere since the 0-pointer is nowhere...interesting." He then claps his hands together, vanashing without even leaving a trace.
.
.
.
In the observation room, heroes could only look on in shock. The exams had been normal for the most part, kids in every sector showed promise. The whole robot points thing was bogus. Sure, they kept track of it but how many robots you destroyed had nothing to do with whether you were selected. Sure, they had a very strong factor, but ultimately its teachers discretion who makes it and who doesn't.
.
However, in ground A they realized something. A kid was just standing watching everything from above. Just as Eraserhead was about to chastise him they saw him disappear and reappear on another camera before kicking a robots legs completely crumpling them before uppercutting its head making it implode on impact. Just as fast as he appeared he disappeared right by another robot. He repeated this over and over, popping in and out of existence in the blink of an eye and destroying robots. "Holy...shit..." A man wearing a cowboy get up and a gas mask said what everyone else was thinking. Nezu turned to him, a faint knowing smirk on his face as he turns to ground C.
.
"He's not the only one you know. Young Bakugou has just about destroyed all the robots in his section of ground C." On screen showed an ash blond boy with an almost wicked grin of pleasure as he was surrounded by scrap mettle from robots. "More brutal but incredibly effective. His control of such a volatile quirk is impressive." Everyone watches the screens with intrigue, both keeping Nezu's words and their own thoughts together as they analyze the other prospects. "Lets see how they handle a walking disaster?" Nezu flipped a switch on his desk, revealing a small red botton as his smile widens ever so slightly as he slams his paw down.
.
.
.
Katsuki was having the time of his life. With the exception of his spars with Izuku, he can never go all out with his quirk. This test lets him do what he does best: destroy. Just as he was about to throw himself at another robot the ground rumbled beneath his feet as he turned around. Out of the ground rose a goliath of metal, towering even the tall makeshift skyscrapers in size. Everyone started to run in panic as Bakugou locks his gaze with the red glass that is the robots eyes. He charges up an explosion to launch himself directly at the beast at full speed. As he flew straight at it he was cackling like a mad man. 'Finally! An opponent worth my strongest attack!'
.
As he flew above his opponent, the other participants look up in shock and awe of the boy hovering over the robot. Katsuki presses his hands together as his eyes sharpen in concentration. His palms start sweating at a rapid pace trying to prepare for the attack. "ATOMIC EXPLOSION!" A deafening boom rattles the entire city as the explosion releases a blinding light, preventing anyone from being able to see. The buildings shake from the concussive force, examines later saying it felt like a powerful earthquake.
.
When the dust settles, all thats left is a deep crater with Katsuki standing in the center. Flakes of scrap and ash from the intense heat float and fall through the air as he slowly starts climbing out. "The exam is finally over! Everyone please head towards the exit!"
.
.
.
Izuku floated in front of the 0-pointer with an almost dispationate look on his face. "Really? Just a larger 3-pointer? Couldn't they have been a bit more clever?" He sighs in mock annoyance as he holds his palm out towards the robot. "Lets try this, Quirk Amplification: Blue." Invisible to everyone else's eyes, a blue sphere appears in his hands as he gestures it forward. As it reaches the robot the metal starts to peel from the frame like it's being sucked into a black hole and ripped to nothingness. Slowly piece by piece, the giant robot was sucked up and crushed into a ball of crumpled metal before vanishing completely almost as if swallowed by the space itself. He brushes his hands together before putting his glasses back on his face. "Well now I'm hungry, wonder Kachan was as disappointed as me by the lack of creativity...nah! He's just happy to destroy some stuff haha!"
.
.
.
In the observation run is stunned silence. Nezu has his smile but behind it is excitement he hasn't felt since All Might walked the halls. Present Mic broke the silence. "Soooo...those two pass right?"
Chapter 3: First Inpresions
Ururaka stood outside the massive doors to her new classroom nervously. Sure, she got enough points to pass by the skin of her teeth, but she saw what the green haired boy did single handedly. How could she forget? After all, she had been watching from a distance like everyone else when he nonchalantly deleted the 0-pointer from existance.'How the hell do I compete with that?!' With a deep breath she steadied her resolve taking a step in before being met with a wave of noise. "GET YOUR FEET OFF THAT DESK THIS INSTANT!" In front if her stood the blue haired boy with engine legs making chopping motions at a boy with ash blond hair glaring daggers from his fiery red eyes. "And I said FUCK OFF TEACHERS PET!" With just as much volume but twice the ferocity, the blond yelled back at the boy with no regard for those around him as a tired looking boy with purple hair sticking straight up lets out a sigh.
.
From behind the blond she sees the green haired kid from the exams. On closer inspection she realized the strange whisps of white at the tips she never noticed before has he threw himself over the blond's shoulders. "C'mon Kachan, no need to get so riled up over speedy over there. He's like...maybe half as strong as you? You wouldn't be satisfied." The boys anger quickly shifts to the teasing green head as the sunglasses clad boy smirked victoriously. The boy called 'Kachan' put his feet down as he swiveled glaring daggers at him. "Shut up Deku, stay out of my shit!" The blue haired boy noticing her after giving up on 'Kachan' ran over. "My names Iida fron Somei Private Academy!" 'He is way to serious!' Is what Uraraka thought. But she couldn't say that, so instead she smiled politely to hide her nerves. "My names Ochako Uraraka! I went to public school." As she looks around the classroom she notices she was the last of the 20 students to arrive.
.
"Nice to meet you! Wish I could say the same for all my new classmates..." He gave a very minor glare towards 'Kachan' and the green haired kid. As he looked over he saw the boy look over and playfully wink making him even more annoyed. "This is a school, not a playground."
.
She smiles slightly at the interactions. She hopes that she can make friends with most of her classmates. Most didn't want to be friends with her because of her family's situation though so she wasn't holding her breath. She started making her way to the only open seat available, behind the green haired kid. She waited for class to start, wanting to get the first day over with so she can wash out the nerves.
.
.
.
Shōta Aizawa is a rational man. He follows protocol, works efficiently, and doesn't like wasting time on pointless frivolous activities. He takes his job as both hero and teacher very seriously despite claiming to collegues not necessarily liking either. According to him, its just where his talents were most profitable. However, thats not to say he is bad. He is considered the best undergrounf hero in current history. His ability to sneak into heavily guarded locations and take out incredibly powerful targets all by himself has granted him a high A rank despite not necessarily having an offensive quirk. His quirk is erasure. The ability to disable the quirk of whoever he is looking at. This levels the playing field and only doesn't work against mutant type quirks.
.
He is currently laying at the door of his classroom, listening to his students chatter aimlessly about nonsense.'Seriously, these are supposed to be the great future? I have been here for a minute and only one of them has noticed me. I'm in a bright yellow bag for christ sake!' That one however, was Izuku Midoriya. Interesting kid. Extraordinary power, control beyond his years, and a past deeply buried by the HPSC. No doubt an attempt to keep villian eyes off him till he was older. 'However...' he thought to himself, 'That attitude will probably get him killed. He is too bored for his own good, and too much information is missing from his files.'
.
He decided to make his appearance, slowly sliding in on the ground with the most deadpan serious face he can muster as the class slowly falls into silence. Of course, with the exception of Midoriya who couldn't help but snort as he tried to hold back his laughter, not scared at all of the hobo looking man. Bakugou swung blindly behind making Izuku yelp as he dodged it. "It took you over a minute to even notice me, longer to shut up. That's lives lost and ruined because you were too slow messing around. Not good enough." He turned to the board as he slowly wrote his name out in chalk. "My name is l Shota Aizawa. I will be your homeroom teacher here at UA until you graduate, fail out, or die trying. This isn't the career for the faint of heart, so if you aren't ready to see behind the sunshine curtain that is TV heroics then leave."
.
No one stands. No one leaves. Silence fills the classroom, not even the faintest of breaths can be heard. 'Good. At least they can listen. Better than last year.' He places a stack of UA track suits on his front desk. "Grab a suit and meet me by the activities field. Be there dressed in 10 minutes or you're expelled." With those words he opens the window before climbing out and jumping to the grounf floor. He can hear the chaos of children rushing to grab uniforms as he didn't even let them ask questions. 'Guess I can't say all parts of the job suck.' He smirks to himself beneath his capture scarf as he makes his way to the field. 'Still, if they truly want to make it they will thank me later. This job isn't what they make it look like in the advertisement. They will need to be quick on their feet.'
.
Once there he is met by Izuku Midoriya already dressed waiting for him. "Hey Eraserhead, how was the fall?" Based on his knowledge of the boys abilities from the exam he went through he already knew he would be here. "Pretty good. Hope you weren't expecting too much praise for meeting basic expectations." He noted the slighty annoyed frown from the boy, knowing he is probably not used to having people talk down to him. 'Good. Maybe his ego can still be crippled before its a major problem.' Izuku chooses not to respond as the rest of the class show up shortly.
.
"Great, the rest showed up. I expect you to beat me here. I am not exactly moving at maximum effort." As he continued his usual harsh teacher routine he analyzed his students, picking apart their personalities as he decides how he is going to handle their development. "Now we can start the physical exam." A raven haired girl with rather...generous assests for her age named Momo raised her hand. "What about the orientation ceremony for first years with Nezu?"
.
He hears Izuku snort a bit as he answers her question for him. "That orientation ritual thingy is just Nezu's way of hazing the first years by forcing them to listen to him rant about hair shampoo." Aizawa nods at Midoriya, agreeing with his statement if not his word choice. "At UA, us teachers have full control of our students curriculum. Home room teachers especially have freedom to do as they please to help their students in whatever they believe they need." He walked towards the center of the clearing picking up a small ball. "We will go through the same Junior High physical you went through last year, only this time you will use your quirks."
.
He tosses the ball at Bakugou, hitting him in the chest before he caught it. Katsuki growled in irritation but let him continue. "Bakugou. You destroyed the most robots during the exam. What's your farthest throw without your quirk?" As Bakugou approaches the circle he scoffs at him. "A couple hundred yards." Aizawa nods as he pulls out a tablet to record results. "Do it again with your quirk." A feral grin emerges on his face as he cocks his arm back and releases it forward with a scream as a window shattering boom echoed from his hands as he sent the ball flying so fast it disappeared in an instant.
.
After a few seconds, the tablet beeped and Aizawa announced the score. "1,273 yards. Not bad." The reaction from the crowd varied but all of them were in some form of awe. Excitement started brewing amongst the students. Eventually one said something that made Aizawa flip. "This will be fun!" Mina Ashido, acid quirk user with an alien like appearance thanks to her pink skin and strange eyes. "Fun huh?" At his almost icy tone they froze in their tracks. However, a voice cut through the tension. Izuku Midoriya. "Why wouldn't it be fun? A chance to actually flex and use our quirks is never a bad time."
.
Aizawa activated his quirk, making his eyes glow red and his hair float ominously. "Fine, how about a game? Last place is deemed hopeless and black balled from any hero school in Japan for one year. How is that for fun?" A cacophony of noise followed, silenced once more by his simple glare. "I don't care how you feel. No one cares how you feel. No villian is going to stop what they are doing because it makes your feelings hurt, they don't care. I'm not hear to grant hero status to a bunch of immature brats." I sinply toss another ball at Mina. "Your next Ashido. I hope you have fun."
.
.
.
Izuku analyzed his teacher curiously. Of course he knew Eraserhead was strict but he didn't think he would be this much of a stick in the mud. Of course he got first in everything. He teleported in the 100 meter dash, used Blue to crush the grip machine, naturally got really high on the side jumb using natural athleticism, so on and so forth. Nobody outside of Bakugou had any clue what his quirk was and nobody was brave enough to ask. He got first, naturally. Second went to Kachan and third went to Todoroki. 'Interesting, the number two heroes child...weaker than I expected.' His class had incredible potential, his eyes showed him that. But his overall disappointment was not very well hidden. 'Seems I will need to coach them up a bit in my free time.'
.
Last place turned out to be a boy named Shinso Hitoshi. Just as he was about to feel bad for the obviously dejected and angry boy Aizawa spoke to the class. "Congratulations. You all pass." Silence once again followed his statement as it always seems too. "Expelling you was just a logical ruse to make sure you tried your best. However, if I deemed you worthless don't think I would have hesitated to cut you from the Program."
.
He watched his still wary students glare at him but not saying a thing. They really didn't want to get on his bad side and risk expulsion. "Be back in the classroom in 15 minutes so we can finish homeroom. I expect you know the consequences of being late?" They didn't need to be told anything else as they sprint off again in panic to rush back to the classroom. As he turns back the way he came, he can't help the grin that hides beneath his scarf.
.
'I really do love my job.'
Chapter 4: Roll Call
Once everyone made it back to class Aizawa made one final announcement. "You have till noon to get to know each other. Usually home room will be shorter, but usually they won't include quirk tests either. I don't care how, but introduce yourself and your quirk and whatever else you wish. I'm going to take a nap." He walks straight out of the room, taking his massive yellow sleeping bag with him. Once he is out of the room, it's like a pressure is lifted instantly lightening the moods of his students as they start discussing amongst themselves. Eventually as a group they decide to go up front one by one on a volunteer basis.
.
The first to introduce herself is a pink skinned girl with black scalera and yellow irises. Her hair was an deeper shade of pink with bright yellow antennae matching her eyes. "Hello everybody! My name is Mina Ashido! My quirk is called Acid as it allows me to expel acid fron my skin in different concentrations depending on what I need." As she explains her quirk Izuku leans forward curiously as his eyes scan over her quirk energy. 'Her energy is constantly humming and circling all right beneath the skin. Is that why its pink?' She heads back to her seat while he's still thinking prompting the next person to come up.
.
He had red spiky hair and shark like teeth curved up in an easy going smile. "Names Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet you. My quirk is Hardening. It allows me to harden my skin increasing my durability. I like manly things and wish to be like Crimson Riot!" Passing him was a very interesting girl with light green hair with flecks of blue sprinkled in. Her eyes have a shimmering effect over blueish green irises. 'She's cute, but why is her quirk energy running through every inch of her skin? Even her hair has it flooding through. How interesting...' As Izuku continues thinking to himself the girl introduces herself. "My names Toru Hagakure. My quirk is called Invisibility and it, as it says, makes me invisible! I don't know how to turn it off though..." She rubs her head nervously, not used to so much attention as the normally invisible one as she puts on a cheerful tone with ger voice to hide it. 'Ah, that explains the quirk energy I an seeing. Wonder if she can control it...?' So far all if his classmates quirks have potential as well as potent quirk energy. Izuku woulf have to take off his glasses to take a closer look but he would rather not reveal all his tricks.
.
Next to introduce herself is a girl he actually recognizes from the entrance exam as the one who ate shit at the entrance slipping on the steps. "My name is Ochako Uraraka, and my quirk is called Zero Gravity. It allows me to remove the effects of gravity on whatever I touch with the pads on my fingers." At the explanation of her quirk Midoriya's eyes widen significantly under his glasses.'Removing the effects of gravity for whatever she touches? Huh...that's actually very powerful. It's probably got more to it than she thinks, she definitely doesn't conciously control her quirk energy as it runs wild through her arms to her finger tips.' He notes to research her quirk later.
.
A boy with purple, shaggy hair slicked up and eye bags to match Aizawa steps up once Uraraka is finished. "Names Shinso Hitoshi. Quirk: Brainwashing." After that very brief introduction he sits back down, earning a snort from Izuku. Following him was a short...Bird? Man? Birdman, wirh the head of some type of bird similar to a ceow or raven with a human body. "My name is Fumikage Tokoyami. My quirk's name is Dark Shadow. Revelry in the dark." A bead of sweat fell down everyones faces at the emo introductions.
.
Next up came a boy with bright yellow hair and a jagged bolt of black through the side. "Sup dudes! Names Denki Kaminari. My quirk is Electrification which allows me to use electricity. I am hoping to learn how to properly control it." With his eyes, Izuku couldn't help but notice how his energy seemed to be even more unstable than the rest. Almost like it's restless, barely able to stay under the surface of his skin. After him was a girl with ear jacks for earlobes and dark purple hair. She also wore a punk rock jacket over her uniform. 'That's definitely not regulation. Bet speedy is pissed right now.' "Hey, names Kyoka Jiro. My quirk is Earphone Jack which is a mutation quirk. It severely increases my hearing and even allows me to hear throughout an entire building just by plugging into the walls. I hate perverts so don't even think about trying anything." As she walks back Speedy steps up and introduces himself. "My names Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy! I follow the rules and regulations to perfection as I believe in order. My quirk is Engine, a mutation making my calves into fully functioning motors powering leg boosters." As Iida walks back he sighs in disappointment, already anticipating the chaos he will have to deal with.
.
Bakugo decided to finally step forward. "Names Katsuki Bakugo. My quirk is Explosion. I only care about and respect strength. Keep up or stay out of my way, I don't care which." He walks off without another word as Izuku smiled brightly, knowing the introduction speech he initially planned was much worse. He could swear he heard someone mutter "So manly..." behind him. He decided he should get his own introduction out of the way as well as he pops into existence in front of the class. "Hello children! My name is Izkuku Midoriya, and my quirk is way to complicated to explain during meet and greet but I will share their names as I have two technically. Six Eyes andLimitless." His tone was singsongy and light, childish even. Those that have seen his powet first hand are incredibly wary, knowing just how far above the rest of the class he was.
.
He teleports back to his seat, happy with his first impression as the Todoroki stepped forward. "My name is Shoto. My power is called Half-cold Half-hot." His tone is icy, barren of any emotion as he quickly finishes his introduction and return to his seat. Surprised and not ready for her turn, a girl with black hair tied back in a ponytail steps forward. "Hey, my names Momo Yaoyorozu. My quirk is called Creation letting me use my fat lipids to create non organic matter and tools. I hope we can be friends." She bows respectfully before heading back to her seat. 'Must be rich, way to formal. Like Iida. Or should I keep calling him speedy...'
.
.
.
With the final introduction, the students make their way towards the cafeteria. There were a few more in his class, but to Izuku they were either too weak or to boring for him to notice. Him and Bakugou quickly distance themselves sitting alone while the rest of the class gathers at a single table. "I'm so excited Kachan! At least half our class has B or A-rank quirks! Some even have S-rank potential like us!" Izuku spoke with tons of energy, however it was mostly fake. While his class had a lot of potential it was disappointingly lacking immediate power to entice him.
.
Katsuki merely scoffs at the notion. "Really?Just seemed like a bunch of extras to me." He took a giant bite out of his steak, eating with anger as if the cow did something too him. "One of them is just invisible. She can't even turn it off!" Izuku chuckles at his lack of manners, watching Katsuki attenpt to talk while eating. As he finishes his own bite of katsudon he wipes his mouth with his napkins. "Oh, that Toru girl right? She's kinda cute. Her quirk energy flows through every inch of her, including her hair." While Izuku continues to rant about quirks of his classmates he thinks back to one girl with rosy cheeks and brown hair. "Hey, gravity bitch, what was her name?" With an eyebrow raised and a curious glint behind his glasses he responds. "Ochako Uraraka. She's the girl I laughed at before the entrance exam." Katsuki nods along as he thinks about what her quirk would look like once it fully develops, if it fully develops.
.
"Have you made any progress on your Quirk Evolution research Deku?" A sigh from the green haired boys lips is all he needs to hear to know it's not going well. "Not really. Only thing I've been able to figure out is that it's real and mostly up to chance to figure it out. If only I could see it in action..." He rubbed his head in frustration, before hanging his head with a rain cloud over his head. "But it takes a near death experience to have a chance at triggering. Good luck at me ever finding someone strong enough to do that."
.
.
.
Over at the other table most of the remaining class 1-A students gathered around. Todoroki sat alone away from everyone and most of the quite ones sat together off to the side away from the commotion the group caused. "Ok, what the hell is up with Midoriya and Bakugo? Sure they are the top of the class at the moment, but why are they so cocky?" Mina was the one speaking at the moment, not enjoying how the two boys so clearly looked down on the rest of their class. Next to her, Kirishima looked over towards Bakugou with slight admiration. "I don't know, I thought Bakugou was pretty manly! I saw him during the exam too, he is badass!" Next to speak up was Uraraka, having her own take on the conversation. "Midoriya is insane...he turned the 0-pointer to literally nothing! What is his quirk..."
.
Iida sighed as he pushed up his glasses. "I hate to admit it as annoying as he is, but I understand why he acts that way. Those two are definitely the strong." Shinso, who was dragged in by Kaminari, was surprisingly invested in the conversation. "They definitely have raw power. They seem to be rather intimate with their quirks, particularly Midoriya."'Maybe I could ask him for help with improving my quirk? He's cocky as hell but he doesn't seem ljke a bad guy.' "I suggest we talk to them a bit in our free time. We could probably learn something from them. Maybe."
.
Kaminari let out a sigh as he laid his chin on his hands. "I doubt they would help. Remember that Bakugo guy? He said 'keep up or stay out of the way.' Not exactly willing to cooperate." A few of the quiet kids slid over to be included in the discussion as Kyoka Jiro and a boy with multiple arms walk up. "I overheard the two talking by themselves. It's strange, it's almost as if they were already pro heroes and are only at this school as a formality." The boy with multiple arms, Mezuo Shoji, finished garnering the attention of everyone. "If you want to talk to anyone, I recommend Midoriya. He seems like a bit of a quirk fanatic." Almost as if called by his presence, Izuku Midoriya popped into existence from behind with his signature grin. "Talking about little old me?" Nobody saw him arive beside Mezuo of course. He takes a couple steps forward as the group falls into silence. "Oh please, don't stop for my sake. What are we talking about?"
.
Suddenly socking him over the head from behind is Bakugou Katauki. "Shut the hell up Deku, stop being a creep." He suddenly points randomly towards Ochako, Toru, and Shinso. "You three go with Dumbass over there, he wants to run some tests on your quirks." Before they can even respond Midoriya appears behind them one at a time teleporting away and out of the cafeteria somewhere. The remaining start babbling even more chaotically, the sudden arrivals of Bakugou and Midoriya. "While Deku is busy with Pinky, Eyebags, and Invisabitch he asked me to quiz the rest of you on something." He ends up taking Shinso's seat, leaning back with his legs kicked up. "What do you guys know about quirk energy?"
.
.
.
'What the actual fuck happened?' Toru was very confused. One second she was talking with the rest of her classmates. The next, she is in the middle of a forest with Ochako Uraraka and Shinsi Hitoshi with a certain green haired boy just sitting there looking at them with an expectant gaze. "Ahhhhh!" Finally, Ochako broke the silence with a scream ripping through the forest as the rest cover their ears. "H-How did you do that!? I didn't even feel the air get displaced!" He waves her off with a disinterested hand motion. "Maa, I just rendered the space between you and another point zero. Its simple math." Without even bothering to explain things he pops out and reappears directly behind them as he grabs Shinso taking him away somewhere leaving the other two alone wirh their thoughts. "Uhhh, what?"
.
.
.
Izuku was giddy with excitement. It's been a long time since he was able to experiment with quirks. His own quirk he has pretty much mastered outside of a few techniques he needs inspiration from, so it's been years since he has used his eyes to fully break down a quirk too its core. His eyes eagerly took in every quirk they see and have been desperate for something to do. "So, brainwashing huh? How does it work?" Hitoshi gulps nervously as he back ups slightly, eyeing the other boy suspiciously. While he was planning on eventually talking to him, nobody has ever actively approached him about his quirk. He doesn't respond right away, illiciting a chuckle from Izuku. "Don't worry little guy, I don't bite!" A sigh of annoyance and acceptance escapes his lips before he starts his explanation. "Anyone who responds to my questions, I am able to take control of their body. So far all I can do are simple commands while they are in a trance like state from my quirk."
.
Izuku nods along with his explanation, half listening, half focusing on his energy. 'Hmmm, that's rather weak for how dense his quirk energy is. I need to take a closer look.' As he thinks this he reaches up and takes off his sunglasses as Shinso's eyes widen in shock as he stares into his eyes.'What the...are those his quirk? Just looking into them makes my skin crawl...' "Use it on me." Shinso has to preform a double take. "Are you sure? I've been told it's unpleasant to be under my control." Again; Midoriya completely dismisses his concerns like he does with every concern he hears. "Don't worry, I'm the strongest! Besides, you're we-" Before he can finish his sentence the quirk takes hold of him as Izuku's eyes seemingly shimmer with intensity. 'So, it controls the body without severing consciousness...you are very interesting Shinso.' As his eyes take in his energy he realizes something; Shinso's quirk ties his physical body to Shinso's concious using quirk energy, almost like puppet strings.
.
Once he is finished analyzing his quirk he uses an application of Blue to pull himself into a tree knocking him back into control as Shinso widens his eyes in surprise. 'No one has broken control of my quirk like that...just what the hell is this guy?' A nervous sweat drop beads down his head before suddenly they are next to the other two. "You can go home if you want now Shinso, or you can stay behind with these two. See you tomorrow!" He then grabbed Toru before disappearing again.
.
.
.
Toru Hagakure didn't know what to expect from her first day at UA, but she definitely didn't expect to be dragged off by some elderich being. Izuku Midoriya was a bag of mystery wrapped up in arrogance and ego. Missing his glasses he always wore, she got her first look into his eyes. She doesn't know how long she has been looking into those beautiful haunting orbs of deep emerald that swallowed her entire being whole. "You have quite the interesting quirk. How exactly does you're invisibility work?" Toru lets out a sigh scratching her head. "I don't really know for sure. I've just always been invisible for as long as I can remember."
.
'How interesting...why is her quirk energy radiating through her entire body instead of just the skin? On closer inspection it's like she is absorbing light like a solar panel. Is she absorbing and redirecting light?' Izuku has never been stumped by a quirk. His eyes see everything. However, Hagakure's quirk stumped him a bit because he wasn't sure if it was passive invisibility or active invisibility she just doesn't know how to turn off. Toru can barely catch hints of his quite mumbles to himself. "There is something more to this. What exactly am I missing..." He suddenly teleports with her back once again, where Shinso and Uraraka were sitting in very awkward silence. "We're back!" Once more, not even waiting for a reply he snatches Uraraka and disappears again with her leaving Toru alone with Shinso.
.
.
.
Like the rest of her class, Ochaco isn't sure what to make of her classmates Izuku Midoriya. He always acted with a childish and gitty personality and has yet to take a single thing seriously. Yet, he is immensely powerful, and clearly way smarter than he acts. Then there are those distinguishable eyes of his. At a quick glance they aren't special but anyone who took more than a second to look into his eyes would be sucked in by a disturbing sea of emerald and their instincts screaming to run. They seemed to pierce through her very soul, and the thought alone made her uncomfortable.
.
He takes a second to really look at her quirk, this one had him the most interested after all. 'So it is touch based, but she has a way too strong a quirk factor for just gravity nullification. There's probably more she could do if she just knew how to properly control her quirk energy.' "So, gravity nullification. You sure that's all it does?" She raises her eyebrow suspiciously, finding the way he said it suspicious. "...yes, though I am curious why you invited us out."
.
He simply shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly, a small grin on his face. "Quirks simply facinate me, and you three had the most eye catching." He chuckles to himself at his own pun while Uraraka simply gets more confused. Before she can really process his words, she is suddenly in front of Toru and Hitoshi again already teleported back. "Ok! That's all I needed you all for. I'll go ahead and teleport us back." Shinso jumps to his feet to intervene. "Hey wait a minute, why did yo-" Before he could finish their sentence they we're suddenly in the cafeteria once again. Bakugou looks up from his spot with a slightly surprised but more irritated expression. "Hey dumbass, what took you so long?"
.
"Come on Kachan! I was only gone for 40 minutes. Their quirks are just so intriguing to me. I'm sorry you missed me so-" "Just shut the hell up, I want to get an extra work out in." As Katsuki completed shrugged the over dramatic green head, making him leak crocodile tears as they walked away from their class, nothing but stunned and confused expression on their faces. After a few seconds Izuku snapped out of his fake hurtshow as he turned to his class, waving as they leave. "See you tomorrow everybody!"
Chapter 5: Slice of Life
Class 1-A was expecting the worst after their introduction to UA, curtesy of a certain bitter hobo, but were grateful surprised. A simple roll call was preformed on the second day, making sure everyone was there as Aizawa explained the basic rules of the school. "First, you should know most school days don't end after lunch. Home room is one hour, spent working on your weakest academic subject. Then, you have math, history/geography, english, and science as your core 4 subjects. After that you will eat lunch in the cafeteria prepared by our head chef Lunch Rush. Once you're finished eating the rest of the day is committed to hero course work."
.
He walks around handing out sheets of paper to the class. The top of the paper read 'Hero Costume Registration Forms'. Aizawa continues his speech. "For the rest of home room, I want you to think about your costume. Those of you who already have designs can take the time now to submit said design to the support course class. I hope you think practically when it cones to this, though I know most of you won't. You can change it later if you don't like the look, what matters is that it works with you not against you." As he finishes handing out papers, he heads back to the front of the class. "I also advise you do so as soon as possible. While these aren't technically required to take part in hero classes, you are going to want it." With that slightly ominous warning, he steps into his sleeping bag and falls to the floor, seemingly unconscious.
.
Izuku already knew what he was going to do. After all, he doesn't need a flashy costume to stand out. He quickly wrote out his design details in an essay before leaving a detailed drawing and handing it in within 30 seconds of receiving it. He spends the rest of his time subtly using his eyes to spy on others papers to see what they were coming up with. 'Most of these aren't practical at all. I mean, Kirishima isn't even wearing a shirt! Granted, his quirk is making himself hard...hehe nice.' Half way through homeroom, the last of the papers are slowly turned in as the students naturally form groups and start talking.
.
Izuku and Bakugo sat together obviously like always. With them were the three he researched (cough cough kidnapped cough cough) Toru Hagakure, Hitoshi Shinso, and Ochako Uraraka. Each of them was equally confused by what happened the previous day, and wanting answers. "Why the hell did you drag us into the middle of the forest yesterday?" The annoyed monotone drawl from Hitoshi spoke the question they all had. Bakugo rolls his eyes. "Get used to it. The fucker loves taking people on surprise field trips." Izuku pouts dramatically, as he throws himself over the blonds shoulders. "Don't be like that Kachan, you know you love me." Bakugo swings behind him causing Izuku to dodge his swipe. "Just answer their damn question cabbage patch!" Izuku sticks his tongue out before turning to the other three expecting answers.
.
"Well, I just found you three interesting is all." His cheeky grin only annoyed Shinso as he let out an exasperated sigh planting his face in his forearms. Uraraka decided instead to try and talk to the blond. "Is Midoriya always like..." She gestures towards the greenette, waving her arms exasperated. "...that?" Bakugo simply gives her a non reassuring shrug. "I guess. You get used to it." Toru sits behind Midoriya while the other two sit in the seats next to Bakugo and Midoriya. "You too seem to know each other pretty well, how long have you known each other?" Toru spoke up, causing Izuku's attention to turn to her as he leans straight back letting his head lay on her desk wirh his feet kicked up on Bakugo's chair. "Kachan and I are soulmates, together from the dawn of ti-" "I met Deku in an ally behind a fast food joint. We also went to the same school since kindergarten and parents who have known each other for decades." Bakugo cut him off not wanting to hear his rants. "Like I said, soulmates before birth~!" A visible tick mark appears on Bakugo's face as he tries to maintain his composure while the other three deadpan at Midoriya's antics.
.
.
.
Another group consists of Mina Ashido, Enjiro Kirishina, and Denki Kaminari. Passively listening to the conversation was Koji Koda, a mute boy with a quirk allowing him to communicate with and command animals. He has a rock like appearance that could look intimidating if you didn't know the boy was practically harmless.
.
Kaminari started the conversation with a groan. "You know, when I came to UA, I didn't think we would be learning algebra..." He was disappointed. After the first day he thought they would be jumping straight into exercises, combat training, something! Not sitting at a desk doing paperwork. Kirishima gently nudges him. "Come on Kaminari, it's still a school. What did you expect?" Mina was the only one who hadn't yet turned in her hero costume as she was idly making extra notes and flairs to her initial design. "I mean, I kinda agree. I really wanted to get to work improving my quirk. Especially after seeing what monsters we have in our class." Kaminari snaps his fingers, shooting her finger guns. "See? She gets it! I am so far behind Midoriya and Bakugo its not even funny. Even Todoroki!"
.
Kirishima bangs his fists together. "I know, I'm excited too! I want to be pushed to my limits!" Mjna stands up to go turn her paper in as the rest of home room is spent discussing what teachers will run the other subjects.
.
.
.
Shouto Todoroki stared blankly out the window, his mind wandering to the only two boys who have the power to take him down. To his right, Kyoka Jiro, Momo Yaoyorozu, Tenya Iida and Fumikage Tokoyami. Todoroki could hear them talking, not really paying attention as he was lost in thought.'Those two are decent. Doesn't matter, ill crush them beneath my glaciers. I will become the best without using that bastards fire.' The boys heterochromia eyes sweep over the rest of the classroom dispassionately. 'The rest of them are pathetic.'
.
"So what do you think Midoriya's quirk is?" Jiro and Momo are in debate over Izuku's quirk, trying to pinpoint it without just flat out asking. "I don't know...maybe it has too do with his eyes? He does always wear those sunglasses." Jiro shakes her head in disagreement of Momo's idea, gesturing to her own jacket. "He probably just likes how they look. Besides, did you see the stunts he pulled during the physical test? He definitely has some sort of psychokinesis alongside whatever his eyes do." Momo hums in thought as she rubs her chin. 'Yeah, but those glasses are way too dark to just be for show.' Tokoyami decided to interrupt her thoughts with his own opinion. "He could have two quirks. Would also explain his behavior a bit."
.
Momo mentally agrees with his points. 'That's what would make sense, but it still doesn't explain what those quirks even are.' She puts his quirk in the background for now, not wanting to be too hung up on it. 'In time he will explain it. Still, just how strong are you Midoriya?' Iida shakes his head disappointedly. "Still, he acts like a clown with no regard for his peers well being. I don't trust him one bit."
.
.
.
Once home room ended, Aizawa picked up his sleeping bag and walked out as a very tall man with a black mask and an obsurdly long trench coat that covers his entire body as it scrapes against the ground. "I am Ectoplasm, and I will be your math teacher. Today we will be going over the basics of Algebra like 'what's a variable' and PeMDAS." He creates a clone of himself for each row of desks as they stroll down handing out thick math textbooks. "We will start at page one, and by the end of the first semester I expect you all to at least be half way through this book. Now, open it up and lets get started."
.
.
.
Snipe walks towards the 1-A doors as he sees Ectoplasm leave. He chuckles, gesturing towards the door as he passes Snipe. "They are ready for you." With a raised eyebrow he steps into the room, only to be met with a room of teens completely drained off all their energy. Even Midoriya looked about ready to snap from boredom. He lets out a sigh, as he prepares himself. "Howdy class, call me Snipe sensei. I'll be teaching you about the history of Japan, as well as the geography of the land. Ill be covering everything, from the densest villian populations to the era of civil war." His speech drug the few still concious students back to their senses as they shook their classmates awake to pay attention. "Since it's the first day, we are just going to go over the timeline of the last 200 years briefly."
.
.
.
"ARE YOU READYYYY?!" Present Mic burst into the room, using his quirk to amplify his voice. Snipe just finished and was about to leave, getting knocked down from the sudden intrusion. After helping him up and out of the classroom, he steps to the front with an enthusiastic grin. "Hope you are because English is possibly the most important subject for Heroes outside heroics. As the most commonly used language, it's valuable being able communicate with foreigner victims." He takes a piece of chalk and starts writing on the bored behind him. His strokes are surprisingly eloquent for how over the top the man is. "My name is Present Mic, and I will be your english teacher."
.
.
.
Present Mic left after going through the English alphabet, whipping it off the board before leaving. After him came a grey rectangular man, with an appearance formed seemingly from concrete. "I am Cenentoss, science teacher here at UA. Some of you need a basis in this to use your quirks, those of you that don't could still benefit from knowing about the rules that allow our world to exist." He grabs some chalk and writes down a variety of subjects. "We will go over biology, chemistry, physics, and quirk theory. Pay attention as many of the lesons you learn here can be taken into the field and could save your life."
.
.
.
Finally, base classes where over as 1-A split into lunch groups identical to class groups earlier. Bakugo and Midoriya arrive at the same table as last time, followed by Hagakure, Shinso, and Uraraka. Bakugo sat across from Midoriya with Shinso on one and and Uraraka in between Shinso and Bakugo. Next to Midoriya sat Hagakure. "So what do you think of classes so far?" Uraraka was the first to speakup, having had the most trouble following along during class. "Outside of physics I'm not very good at math or science."
.
"Too easy." Midoriya sighs dramatically as he speaks. "But that's to be expected from me. Kachan over there can relate though, he sucks at history." Bakugo glares at him as he responds through gritted teeth. "I got a 99 instead of 100 one time you fucking asshole..." He promptly leaves the conversation as he digs into his steak wildly. Shinso sweat dropped at the display feeling bad for Uraraka who was sitting next to him. "I mean, its just regular school so far. Nothing too crazy, next is heroics though." Hagakure spoke up herself, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "I'm just hoping it's nothing too extreme. I mean, it's only the second day and we don't have costumes."
.
Midoriya leans back, kicking his legs up on the bench seat across from him next to Bakugo. "Who knows? They probably won't do any actual training till we get costumes. Mostly gonna just be spars." The logical thought puts the worries on the back burner for the others as conversation moves to the different heroes they had as teachers. "Pretty impressive arraay of teachers though. All of them are high B to A-ranking." Shinso gives the greenete a raised eyebrow at the letter grading scale being used instead of the Hero Rankings.
.
The other two however, have no idea what he's talking about. "Huh?" Uraraka and Hagakure both ineloquently. Shinso sighed as he began explaining. "The letter grading scale is a power scale used by the HPSC to properly send response to villian attacks. The hero rankings, the one you are used too, is purely a publicity contest and while important for brand deals is worthless at gauging strength." While not exactly following they nod along to his explanation. Midoriya chimes in, smiling slightly as he explains. "The letter scale goes from D to S, with S-rank being the current highest. They though about making another class for All Might but decided against it." He holds up 5 fingers. As he goes through the ranks he puts a corresponding finger down. "D-rank is just for muggings and simple petty street crime, glorified police officers. C-rank focus primarily on gang activities and responding to any villian attacks to gage the threat level. B-rank is where most of your known heroes are. They preform the vast majority of villian take downs. A and S-ranks are called in to handle situations on a per case basis as they are too valuable to just send on daily patrols, though some run patrols anyway."
.
The two girls listen attentively to his explanation of the scale. Shinso pipes in, already having known about the letter grading scale from personal research into underground heroes. "What grade are you two?" Bakugo snorts indignantly as if the answer should be obvious while Midoriya simply glows in satisfaction at having an opportunity to brag. "Me and Kachan are both S-rank, though I'm the strongest." While playfull in tone, the other three present could feel the arrogance behind his playful attitude. "Fuck no you aren't, I am Deku!" Izuku simply chuckles as he reaches over to boop at Bakugo's nose. "And how many times have you beat me in a spar?" Bakugo simply growls in response as he bites even more aggressively into his steak. "W-wait, if both of you are S-rank, why are you in a hero school?" Toru Hagakure couldn't seem to grasp why such powerful people where sitting in a classroom. Shinso deadpans in her direction.
.
"Seriously? You do know they don't just hand out hero licenses to anyone with a strong quirk right?" When she continues to look at him in confusion he decides to continue. "In order to obtain a hero's license, you need recommendations. The easiest way is simply attending a hero school as it grants you an automatic invitation to the exam if you graduate." Toru makes an 'oh' shape with her mouth as Bakugo glares straight at the greenete across from him, already annoyed with his new company. "I better get to hit something soon..."

After lunch, the students make their way over to their homeroom classes, settling into their seats as they wait for their teacher. Before long, Aizawa walks in as everyone instantly silences their conversation. 'Much better than yesterday. Good.' Once at the front of the class, he turns towards his students with a neutral look on his face. "Good, no one's missing. Time to start what you came to UA in the first place to do." He turns to the bored and writes out the words 'Combat Training'. "Every day we will focus on a different core of heroism. Once I figure out your specialities, strengths, and weaknesses, each student will have a tailored training schedule for their hero training period. Today is simple. Get dressed in the locker rooms and meet me at the fake City training grounds in..." He pushes a botton on his watch before looking back at his students. "...20 minutes or your expelled." As he goes to leave he notices the much more organized scramble then the first day as they quickly file out of the classroom before he gets to the window. His hidden smile widens slightly at the display. 'And they are getting used to me quickly. Seems I got a decent group of brats to break this year. Better than last year's at least.' With that last thought he falls from the window making his leave
