Episode XII: To Stand at the Top
…Chaos, pure and utter chaos...
That's what it looked like as soon as the buzzer went off. All Eleven Classes piled towards the gate, as they tried to get to the head of the group. However, it was there they met their first challenge. A narrowing corridor. Bodies smushed in together with barely any wiggle room to move. An obstacle designed to weed out the cunning from the passionate. Simple but effective…
Luckily this was no problem for those that could climb the walls, as Izuku jumped over the crowd and crawled along the surface of the walls.
"Geez, even the starting gate is a challenge? UA does not kid around," Izuku noted as he looked at the ground where all the students were smooshing themselves against the walls. "Well, not so much for someone who can crawl on walls."
"I agree," he heard as he looked to the opposite wall to see Tsuyu as she crawled along the wall as well.
"Hey, Asui, I see you had the same idea too?"
"I did, and I told you to call me Tsu," she said as Izuku flinched slightly.
"Right, sorry. Well, at least this way we can - !'' Suddenly his spider sense went off as he noticed ice crawling up the walls rapidly. "Crap! Asui, move!" he shouted as they jumped off just as the ice covered the ground and the walls. Izuku shot a web line as he and Asui hung from the ceiling.
"Good call Midoriya, that was a close one. So I'll forgive you for calling me Asui this time," Tsuyu said as she managed to jump onto Izuku, as said boy was trying his best to ignore the presence of a girl hanging off him.
"T-Tell me about it. This ice, it can only mean…" he looked to the front as Todoroki ran forward, ice travelling from his right leg as it encased the feet of those behind him.
"I Apologize…" Todoroki froze the others behind him. "But I don't have time to wait around," he declared as he rushed ahead of them.
"Not so fast!" Bakugo yelled as he, Momo, Ojiro, Aoyama and Kirishima leaped over the crowd, while Izuku swung on his webs. "You won't get away, you icey hot bastard!"
'Oh great, Kacchan is fired up…Super," Izuku thought as the others of Class 1-A managed to make it through the ice. While Shinso was carried over the ice by other students who had dulled expressions.
"So that's their Quirks…" he commented while he looked up to Izuku as he shot a webline and flew over the crowd. "Interesting."
"I expected some of you to make it past, but this many…" Todoroi looked up to Izuku who was speeding towards him. "Just more obstacles to overcome…"
"Don't get ahead of yourself!" he heard as he noticed Mineta throwing clumps of his grape hair and bouncing off them in succession.
"You think you're so cool, but I've outsmarted you! Now prepare for my ultimate attack!" he shouted as he leapt over and pulled off one of his hair. It was at that moment that Izuku's Spider-Sense went off as he looked up and his eyes widened.
"Mineta, wait!" he tried to warn as Mineta reared back his arm.
"GRAPE-!" he never got to finish as he was slammed by a metal arm. And then flung away from the course as he bounced painfully. "AHHHHHHH!" he screamed all the way, as Izuku grimaced.
"I did try to warn him…" he looked back as everyone looked up with shock.
"Yahoo! Now we come to the first major hurdle of the show! ROBO - INFERNO!" Present Mic shouted as the classes were before a large gathering of robots with large 0-Pointers behind them.
"Holy crap! Is that the 0-Pointers from the Entrance Exam!?" Denki shouted while Momo looked up in awe.
"Where does U.A. get the funding for these things?!" she shouted, as Todoroki glared.
"So this is what the others had to face?" Todoroki said as one of the robots raised its arm and began to attack. "I appreciate the effort, but…" he raised his right arm to summon his ice when Izuku suddenly leapt over him, fired a web line straight at the nearest robot and pulled himself towards the mechanical behemoth. His fist clenched as he channelled his power. Green lightning surged over his body as he pulled back his fist.
'One for All: Full Cowling…20%!' he mentally channeled his energy, as he dove right towards the 0-Pointers face. "Arachnid…SMASH!" he yelled as he slammed his Enhanced Fist Full Spider Strength straight into the robot's face and deeply dented the metal plating, causing it to stumble back and fall to the ground.
'Hmmm ... still not feeling it, workshop the names later,' he thought as he spun in mid-air.
He fired another web line, zipped right up and unleashed his full spider strength and 20% One for All into a second robot's face as the second robot began to fall. The student's eyes widened as two of the 0-Pointers began to fall like dominos, while Izuku fired one last web line and landed on the third robot blocking his path as he drove his feet into the mechanical behemoth's face and caused it to stumble and fall.
"Holy crap…" Denki muttered as he and the others stared at the strength behind Izuku Midoriya, while Bakugo had a more angered look on his face.
"Deku…" he growled as small fireworks went off in his hands.
"...Okay…maybe not everyone is a snot-nose punk…" Tetsutetsu said as he and Kirishima watched in awe at the 'manliness' of Midoriya's act.
"What the hell…someone like that…is in the Heroics department?" one of the General Educations said while Shinso narrowed his gaze at the green-haired boy as he landed on the robot's face and it fell.
"Like I said Todoroki!" he called out as he looked back at the bewildered ice/fire user as he smirked. "I'm always up for a challenge!" He gave a small two-finger salute as he jumped off the robot's body and rushed forward towards the rest of the course. "Later!" he yelled as he ran ahead of the crowd.
"And what a start! Izuku Midoriya just took down three 0-Pointers in one fell swoop and took the lead! I tell ya that kid is a beast!" Present Mic announced over the intercoms as all the Heroes, teachers and attendees watched the live feed. Inko herself was flabbergasted at the strength of her son, while Eri cheered for her brother as she watched him take the lead, meanwhile, Todoroki glared, as the other 1 - 3 pointers began to circle him.
"Target Acquired: Destro-" It never got to finish its statement as Todoroki Froze all the robots in an instant as he barreled through them, Ice shooting out behind him as he shot after Midoriya.
"Hey! Get back here you two! Fuck!" Bakugo yelled as he blasted after them. This was enough to knock the stupor out of the rest of them, as they all charged for the hole Izuku made in the Robot line.
"And so far we have Midoriya in the lead! Followed closely behind by Todoroki and Bakugo just behind! "Present Mic commented as he looked at his co-host. "Man, your students don't show any fear, do they? Huh, Eraser?"
"They shouldn't. After the USJ incident, they have experienced true fear, and know they can't waste time. Midoriya has more experience in that regard…" Eraser said as he narrowed his eyes at the boy swinging across the course.
"Hey by the way, is he allowed to use those?" Present Mic asked as he pointed to the web shooters.
"He built those devices himself, and has documented proof that they are his creations, so it was allowed per the bylaws. If others had made it, it would be different. The rest of the class… their experience with danger has honed their sense, they know what it's like in the real world now. So stuff like this won't stop them," Aizawa said as he felt a little bit of pride in his class.
"Well, let's see how far those will take him, as he comes up to the second obstacle, The Fall!" Present Mic announced as Izuku looked at the large canyon-like structure in his path. He smirked a little as he rushed forward.
"Something like this…" He enhanced his leg muscles and jumped clear over several pillars before landing on another. "It's like child's play for me!" he said as he ran forward and jumped across another set. Todoroki arrived shortly after as he glared at Midoriya, who still had a clear advantage over him.
"So something like this won't slow him down either…" he surmised as he placed his hand on the ground. "Then how about this?" He unleashed his ice across the canyon, nearly freezing the whole area. The pillar Izuku was about to land on was quickly covered in smooth ice, causing his foot to slip as he went over the edge.
"Whoa!" he shouted as he fell into the canyon.
"IZUKU!" Inko yelled at the TV, as she panicked for her son.
"He'll be okay," Eri reassured as Izuku fired a web line at one of the many tightrope cables and used the momentum and velocity of his fall to swing himself up and over the canyon. "This just makes it more fun for him," she said with a smile, while Todoroki glared as Izuku sailed over him. He fired another webline and repeated the process until he made it to the other side.
"Going to have to try better than that, Mister Cold Miser!" he shouted as Todroki glared his left fist clenched and small flames began to dance across his fist. He travelled across the tightrope as he froze the path behind him. Bakugo followed behind as he propelled himself with explosions. "And there's Mister Heat Miser." izuku chuckled as he swung across the canyon.
"...Geez, Todoroki is going at it," Denki commented, while Ochako nodded. Asui jumped over to one of the unfrozen ropes as she climbed over the canyon.
"Less talking, more racing," she said as she crawled along the tightrope.
"Hehehe…" Mei giggled as she looked at the canyon. "Looks like Midoriya is having a good time, I expected nothing less from my fellow gadgeteer," Mei smirked as Ochako looked over to the pink-haired girl at the mention of Deku. "But this is a chance to show off my 'babies'..." she said as she activated her gear. She launched off with her boots and then fired a grapple hook, as she propelled herself up the pillar.
'...Does… does she know Deku? And what was that about babies?' she asked herself, feeling a little unnerved at how casually she talked about him. But she shook it off as she used her gravity to make herself light and followed after them.
"I'm falling behind…my brother is watching me right now," Iida made it to the pitfall as he jumped onto the line. "I cannot afford to look foolish!" he shouted as he zipped across the line with his jets. Looking very foolish indeed.
"Man does that look foolish!"
Meanwhile, Izuku travelled as fast as he could, using One For All to speed his way towards the next stretch of the course as he could the entrance of the stadium just beyond a plain-looking field.
"Okay, final stretch, here we g-!" he stopped as his spider-sense went off as he quickly applied the brakes stopping just before the field. "My Spider-Sense just went off, but why?" he looked to the ground. "Wait…don't tell me they…" he picked up a stone as he chucked it at the ground.
And then instantly watched it explode.
"...oh Landmines…LANDMINES!?"
"Landmines!" Inko shouted.
"Oh, looks like Midoriya has found the Landmines, as he makes it to the final obstacle. THE MINEFIELD FROM RAMBO 3!" Present Mic shouted into the mic. "Good thing Midoriya is more observant than anyone realized."
"Midoriya has a unique sixth sense from his Quirk that warns him of danger. While these landmines aren't lethal, they still hurt and his Quirk warned him of the danger." Aizawa commentated as he narrowed his gaze at the boy. "How he will use this to his advantage will be up to him."
"Boy, they are not playing around, huh?" Izuku said as he looked around before sighing. "Okay Spider-Sense…" he closed his eyes as he breathed in a deep breath. "I'm counting on you," he snapped open his eyes as he rushed forward.
His Spider-Sense instantly warned him of the dangers as he jumped, leapt, and cartwheeled over the landmines. He expertly avoided the landmines, while mentally taking notes on their locations. He had just leapt over the third-way mark when he spotted Bakugo and Todoroki barreling towards him at insane speeds. One created an icy hazard behind him, while the other was firing off massive explosions in a fit of rage.
"Oh boy, they're pissed…" Izuku groaned as he quickly looked around and came up with a plan. "That could work," he smirked as he started digging into the ground.
Todoroki glared as he propelled himself forward using the beneath his feet to push himself forward. His glare set on the green-haired boy that was far ahead of him. He knew that the Spider-like Hero would be the most challenging obstacle to overcome, but even he was growing more annoyed.
'You are trying my patience, Midoriya…' Todoroki thought as he sped towards the boy.
"Hey!" he looked behind to see Bakugo as he propelled himself at high speeds with his explosions. Almost like an angry, spikey rocket. "I'm not letting either of you beat me! Especially when you made the challenge to the wrong person, you icy-hot bastard!" The pair of them soon made it to the minefield as they sped towards Izuku.
"I've got you now, Deku!"
Only at the last second did Izuku turn around and throw one of the mines, along with several of his spare web cartridges webbed to it. The pair's eyes widened, only realizing too late that they couldn't stop themselves in time as the mine detonated, covering them in thick globs of webs and pinning them to the ground.
"Huh, that gives me an idea for later. But! I've got a race to win! Sorry!" he yelled as he rushed ahead of them.
"Deku! You bastard! When I get out of this you are fucking dead! Fuck!" Bkaugo yelled as he struggled against the webs.
"Language!" Present Mic had to yell over the intercom, as the censors worked hard to bleep out his swears.
Todoroki on the other hand glared as he watched the boy make it to the finish line. Small flames began to flicker from his left hand as he felt anger within him. So far he was beyond what anyone his age should be capable of. Everyone so far would not prove a challenge to him, as he would make it to the number one spot without ever relying on his father's fire. But now this unknown Midoriya was pushing him…
And he didn't like that.
His anger began to spread ice all across the webs as the substance hardened before cracking open, while Bakugo burned the webs off with a series of explosions and then rocketed after them.
Meanwhile, Izuku was web-zipping himself as fast as he could as he could see the entrance right before him. But already he could feel the heat and cold from behind him as he cursed slightly.
"Knew that wasn't going to hold them for long…okay…I've always wanted to try this." He fired two web lines at the entrance to the stadium and then pulled back hard on them. He felt the webbing become tense as he used all his strength to create enough tension in the line…
And catapulted him right down the hallway.
He sped faster than before as he shot straight through the hall, the wind rushing past them as he emerged at the finish line. He tumbled a bit before landing in a more dignified pose.
"And in first Place is Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic shouted as the crowd cheered.
"Izuku!" Inko shouted with relief as she collapsed onto the couch with tears streaming from her eyes…
"Yay! Go Izu-Nii!" Eri cheered as she jumped for joy. All Might from his position in the teacher's box grinned with joy as he watched his pupil cross the finish line.
'Way to go Young Midoriya! I had no doubt you would succeed…' he mentally cheered, having no doubts he would pass the first stage. 'But be careful, others won't take your victory lying down…' he thought as Todoroki and Bakugo crossed the line.
"Damn it!" Bakugo yelled as he came in third while Todoroki came in second. "You fucking bug! Those Web-Shooters of yours won't help you forever!" Bakugo declared as he felt anger, but schooled himself. He would've accused Deku of cheating, but even he knew the rules that allowed students who built their gear to use them in the tournament. So he merely settled on glaring at the boy as he grew more determined to beat him.
Todoroki glared as he watched the boy that effortlessly passed him. It was clear that Midoriya was far more advanced than everyone else in the class, considering his powers and the inventiveness of his 'Web-Shooters'. It made him much more of an obstacle to overcome if he wanted to show up to his old man.
The rest of the examinees made it across the finish line, as did most of the Heroics Class, and a few of the General and Support class members made it as well. The last to cross the line was Momo, as she was unfortunate enough to have the perv Mineta cling to her back and pants with his Quirk.
"Why…" Momo groaned as Mineta laughed at his 'genius idea'. While the rest just thought of him as a pervert.
"Poor Momo," Ochako said as Jiro glared.
"First chance I get, I'm kicking him in the balls," she vowed as she got a nod from all the girls. Midnight walked back onto the stage as she whipped her crop to the monitor.
"The first event is over, and here are the results!" She announced as the monitor showed the 42 students from Classes A and B along with Mei from the Support Department. "These 42 students have passed the first round and will now move on to the second event. Sorry for all those who didn't pass this time around, but don't take it to heart! There's always next time! Now on to the next event which is…" Midnight paused as the monitor spun through the events before it landed on the newest one.
"Capture the Headband!" She announced as the title card read: 'Capture the Headband' with a small little animation. "It's kind of like Capture the Flag, but we made some modifications! This event pits every student against themselves until there are only 16 players left!" she announced as the monitor showed a brief animation.
"Cementos will create a large obstacle course that he will constantly shift every 2 minutes. Each Student will then be given a headband with a certain group colour, Orange, Blue, Yellow and Green and are tasked with keeping it securely on their person, while also fighting off other students! Students will also be tasked with stealing the other opponent's headbands to eliminate them from the games! If you lose your headband, you are out of the game! You can form teams to help based on the colour headband. But, you cannot form teams with people of a different headband colour! The Game will end when there are only 16 students with headbands left!" she announced. Everyone nodded as they understood the rules. They had to keep their headband and steal everyone else's. Simple.
'So why do I have a bad feeling about this?' Izuku thought to himself as he looked around at all the others.
"But of course, this means that the person who placed first in the previous match has to wear this Special Red Headband! This means they can't team up with anyone and will have to fend off everyone else! And as a bonus! This Year, whoever has the Red headband gets to order a special meal prize from Lunch Rush himself!"
Suddenly all eyes were on Izuku as he stared wide-eyed at the many, many, many glaring eyes of his fellow students. Izuku himself was just frozen solid with morbid dread as he only had one thought on his mind…
'...OH SON OF A BI-*%#!' he mentally screamed while Toshinori could only chuckle as he watched the sheer panic on his successor's face.
Meanwhile, up in the teacher's observation box, the teachers talked back and forth about this sudden development.
"I didn't realise we were offering special prizes. What's up with that?" Snipe asked Ectoplasm who shrugged his shoulders.
"Beats me?"
"It was my suggestion, I figured it would motivate the students to aim higher and perform harder. There's already a lot of attention on one particular class due to the Villians breaking in. We need to show the rest of the world that all the other classes have what it takes to become Heroes. And offering a little reward is a nice treat for the kids every once in a while, right?" Nezu said as the others nodded, while Toshinori watched as pretty much more than half of the student body wanted his headband.
Originally it was going to be a team-related event. But Nezu decided that he wanted to test out more of Midoroya's abilities, so they arranged to have the next event be a one-for-all sort of event. The recent incident with Nomu and the sudden development of a new power within Midoriya had raised some concerns amongst those who knew of the Izuku's secret. The spider quirk he was given was still as much of a mystery as One for All. It seemed to give Midoriya amazing Spider Powers, but it was still largely unknown and possibly untapped. The recent revelation of the so-called 'Venom Blast' made it clear that there could potentially be more to the Spider-Themed Hero than what they currently knew.
'This is for the best Young Midoriya. We've tried to draw the power out through training, but we've hit a wall that will not budge. If training won't unlock this potential, then perhaps trial by fire is the only option. Not to mention this will be a valuable lesson about aiming for the Number One spot. At some point, you will find yourself surrounded by both friends and foes, and is one of the prices you must pay for standing on the top. You now have everyone's attention both good and bad. But overcoming this is but another challenge for being a Hero…' he mentally declared as Izuku slumped to the ground.
"...I should've known… God likes to pick on me…" he muttered before he felt a pat on his shoulder.
"H-Hey, cheer up!" He turned to see Uraraka as she smiled at him, trying to cheer him up. "It won't be all bad. Everyone saw how you did at the start, so not everyone will be going after your headband," she tried to reassure me as Izuku shook his head.
"Yeah but…" he looked over as Bakugo was grinning like a mad man, while Todoroki glared with frost spreading across his right side. "You can tell those two will come after me first," he groaned as Uraraka chuckled nervously.
"R-Right…" she said, Izuku then sighed as he got up.
"It's fine, I had a feeling it might end up like this. But hey, despite what happens, good luck," he held his hand out to Ochako, who nodded and shook it.
"You too, Deku. Better be careful, I might come after you as well… plus, I want some Mochi! And I hear Lunch Rush makes the best Mochi!" she exclaimed with stars in her eyes as Izuku leaned back slightly and nodded.
"Uh…I see… I did not expect that. Well, in any case, I welcome the challenge."
"And I as well," they turned to see Iida as he gave an intense glare at Izuku. However, his gaze was not one full of anger like Bakugo or Todoroki. But more with determination and respect. "I have the utmost respect for you Midoriya, and I consider you a friend. But now is not the time for friendship. Like everyone else, I have to prove myself, even if it means I must face you. Todoroki and Bakugo are not the only ones eyeing for the top. So I hope you can give me the same challenge you give to them," he said as Izuku started before nodding with determination.
"I will, and Ida, as a friend I wish you good luck…but as a rival," he then grinned slightly. "I'm going to win," he said as Iida nodded and then left.
"All right everyone!" Midnight shouted as the teachers started handing out the headbands. "The event will start in ten minutes! So if you gotta go! Go now!" she announced as everyone nodded.
Izuku looked around as he started thinking about how he would handle this.
Invisibility would be his ace in the hole, the rules were you can't hide the Headband anywhere below the neckline. But, if you can't see the headband because of a Quirk, that was another story. However, his invisibility had a time limit of roughly 15 minutes and most of Class A had already seen his Quirk. Bakugo knew how to find him, and then there were the Sensory Types like Jiro and Mezo that could detect him. He would have to do his best to avoid them. However, there were two that he had to avoid at all costs.
First was Todoroki, who was dangerous with his ice abilities. He could freeze an entire area in the blink of an eye. He also seemed determined to prove something by beating him. He didn't understand why, maybe it was because he was the Son of the Number 2 Hero Endeavour and had something to do with his dad. Not that Midoriya knew what that was like, he hadn't seen his dad in years.
Next was Bakugo. While he seemed reckless, he was the best combat tactician he ever knew. The only reason he seemed that way when they fought was because of an old grudge that had lingered between them for years. But this time he had a feeling Bakugo was going to be more focused and not make the same mistake. If there was one thing he could count on with Bakugo, it's that he never made the same mistake twice.
Then there were the Class B members. He had no idea what their Quirks were or their personalities. Other than that one kid that seemed to look down on them a lot, Neito Monoma. But still had no idea what his Quirk did so best he stayed out of their way.
Finally, there were those of the General Studies and Support Classes. He knew Mei Hatsume, as she had been helping him with refining the next versions of his Suit and Web Shooters. He knew she had a Quirk that allowed her to see up to 5 km away. However…
He looked over to see her looking around at all the potential buyers for her tech.
'I don't think I have to worry about her. She seems more focused on finding customers than advancing. Although she might try and use her inventions…okay scratch that, she will and I need to be ready for her shenanigans….' he decided before looking around.
Everyone was already backing away from him as they prepared to either rush him or evaluate what he would do first. He did take down several of the 0-Pointers during the first event. They had to play it smart.
Cementoss used his Quirk to quickly construct a large obstacle-like course, with mazes, pitfalls and other means of creating difficult obstacles for the aspiring heroes. The Students looked around, as the field had changed and Izuku found himself on a large pillar in the middle.
'Oh great, a literal pillar. As if I wasn't the centre of attention already.'
"Contestants ready!?" Midnight shouted as everyone's quirks began to spark or ignite as Izuku himself looked around at the gathered students. "And….START!"
It was at that point that Izuku flashed everyone a sideways peace sign and then disappeared.
"Oh, and Midoriya is gone! I was looking right at him….how did he do that?" Present Mic shouted as Eraser Head nodded.
"Midoriya is a wildcard. In addition to having the physical abilities of a spider, he can somehow cloak himself completely. Clothes and all."
"…Is he an aspiring hero or some kind of lab experiment?"
Back with the students, most of them (Class B specifically) were just as stunned as the crowd as they watched Midoriya suddenly disappear.
"What the hell!? He can disappear!?" Tetsutetsu shouted as he and the others looked around.
"Focus on him later! Right now we need to focus on our points!" a girl with orange spikey hair shouted as her hands expanded and she swatted away others from the General Education Department.
Izuku meanwhile, carefully jumped back as he landed on a wall and observed the scene cloaked.
'Okay, I just need to stay cloaked until the timer goes off, then I win by - whoa!'
His spider sense went off as he rolled out of the way of a laser beam aimed at him. The blue sparkling laser smashed against the wall and he landed more elegantly on the ground. His cloak dissipated as he snapped his head towards the source of the blast. Where he saw Ayoyama and Momo Yaoyorozu, with the latter wearing some kind of goggles.
"Sorry, Monsieur Midoriya~ But you will not be able to hide from us~," Ayoyama posed as Izuku raised a brow at him, before going invisible again and ran across the walls.
"There he is, moving along the wall," Momo called out, as Izuku cursed slightly.
'Dang it, I should've realized Yaoyorozu would create something to track me! Must be some sort of thermal goggles. Makes sense when I think about it. I can hide my body, but not my heat signature. Need to work that problem out later - whoa!' Suddenly his spider-sense went off as he dodged out of the way of the torrent of ice. He snapped his head to see Todoroki with more ice trailing down his right side.
"I'll be taking that headband, Midoriya…" he declared before he heard explosions and saw Bakugo speeding towards him with a mad grin on his face.
"You're not getting ahead of me this time, Deku!"
"…Crap…" he cursed as he found himself in a literal case of a rock and a hard place. Only replace rock and a hard place with Ice and Explosive maniac with an inferiority complex. This was not going to be easy.
"I hate my luck…" Izuku grumbled as he flipped and dodged past Todoroki and Bakugo, as both of them tried to take Midoriya's Headband. Izuku used his enhanced agility to jump over shards of ice, his web shooters to pull him out of the fiery explosions and his Spider-Sense to warn of other dangers.
"Have you guys ever thought about therapy!?" Izuku quipped as Todoroki sent out a large spire of ice. Izuku avoided the ice and then used it to climb up. Bakugo shot himself up with his explosions and went in for a kick that Izuku blocked before throwing Bakugo away. "I think it will do you some good - oh, who am I kidding? They're not going to listen…and who am I to talk? I got way too many hang-ups."
Suddenly looked down and saw Mineta, crawling his way up with his purple balls with a mad gleam in his eyes.
"Haha! I have you now, Midoriya!" he shouted as he sped towards him, only for Izuku to shoot a glob of webs in his face. "Damn it! I can't see!" he fell off the ice and crashed into several other students.
"I honestly have no idea what that was supposed to accomplish?"
"It was meant to distract you," he suddenly turned to see Ochako floating up beside him. He just managed to lean himself back as she grabbed his headband.
"Whoa! Almost had me there!" he shouted as he swung away from her. Ochako pouted before her cheeks swelled and she was forced to land.
"Stupid, Nausea!" she cursed and landed.
Midoriya swung across the obstacle course, as it shifted and changed to a new setting and he soon found himself face to face with the Orange-Haired girl and the Green-Haired girl glared at him.
"Kendo, that's."
"I know, Shiozaki. Try and hold him down," the orange-haired girl, Kendo, instructed as Shiozaki clasped her hands together. Izuku raised a brow before his Spider-Sense went off and the ground under his feet began to crack.
"Oh boy!" Izuku jumped back as a mass of vines shot out. He quickly landed on an adjacent wall, before more vines shot out at him. "Whoa! You can control vines!? That's so cool!"
"I'm sorry for this. But I must get your headband. Otherwise, I will be failing the blessed gift I was bestowed upon!" she exclaimed as a heavenly light shone down upon her.
"….I'm guessing she's a bit dramatic, huh?"
"You have no idea," he suddenly heard as Kendo launched at him, her hands enlarged as she swiped at the boy. "Sorry about this, but we'll be taking that Headband," she said as Izuku nodded as he dodged her swings and jumped to a wall.
"Oh don't be. I'm only sorry I have to do this!" He dodged another of her attacks before shooting two globs of the web at them. But Kendo managed to use her large hands to block the first one, while Ibara blocked the second with her vines. "Not bad, not bad," Izuku commented before the obstacle course began to change again thanks to Cementoss. "But maybe next time!" he called out as they became separated.
Only for Izuku to find himself face-to-face with Tetsutetsu and Kirishima. The two of them were hard and metallic as they traded blows with each other.
"You know! For a guy with a similar Quirk to me! You're pretty cool!" Tetsutesu said as his metal fist collided with Kirishima's hardened fist.
"Same here! Even though it feels like someone just copy pasted hardening Quirks! It's nice to know there's someone just as manly at UA!" Kirishima grinned as they continued to trade blows.
"…They do know they have to get the headbands, right?"
"Don't mind if I do, Midoriya!" Izuku dodged out of the way, as a bolt of lightning shot at him, while a long tongue came out at him.
The two attacks forced him back, as he was about to fall into a large hole that looked like it had been melted through with acid. But he easily jumped over that, as he saw Asui, Mina and Kaminari.
"Damn it! That's not fair Midoriya! That pitfall should've worked!" Mina complained.
"Oh it almost worked, but you're going to have to try harder than that!" Izuku said before his Spider-Sense went off as he jumped over Ida, who sped towards him. His fingers missing his headband by an inch as Izuku shot a line of web and pulled him to a stop. Before throwing him clear across the maze, as it began to shift again.
"Curses! I should've realized your reflexes were almost as fast as I am!" Ida cursed as he disappeared behind a wall.
"Geez, Ida wasn't kidding when he said he'd come at me, huh?" Izuku smirked back before jumping up and leaning against a pillar. "I need a breather. All these attacks are putting my Spider-Sense into overdrive. Guess that's what it's like being at the top?"
"Deku!"
"God Damn it, can I get five seconds?" He turned to see Bakugo shooting towards him with powerful explosions.
"Did you think you'd get away that easily!"
"Yes! I did! Can you come back in like five minutes!?" A row of ice shot out as Todoroki clung to the side as he shot towards him. An intense glare in his Heterochromia eyes, as he shot towards him.
"And there's Todoroki…super…" Izuku jumped out of the way, as Bakugo propelled himself with his explosions. He took a swing at Izuku, who just managed to duck under the attack while shooting some web at his face. But Bakugo had a palm up to guard his face, as he burned the web away with explosions.
"I won't fall for that, Deku!"
"Yeah, I know!" Izuku then webbed both his hands and swung him around as he slammed Bakugo into another wall. A large wall of ice shot in between them, as Izuku and Bakugo were separated. While Todoroki sent rows of ice towards Izuku. The boy flipped over the wave of ice, as he launched several shots of webbing at Todoroki, who skated around him with his ice.
"Is that all you can do?" Todoroki said as he waved his hand and a wave of ice sped across the ground straight for Izuku. But Izuku jumped and weaved past all the ice shards, as he avoided his attacks.
"Is that all you can do?" Izuku quipped back, as Todoroki glared and steam started to radiate off his left side. "Hey, since everyone has been going after my headband, you don't mind if I…" he disappeared as Todoroki scanned the area for Izuku. Suddenly he felt a web line shoot past him and Izuku came barreling at him. "Take yours!?"
Todoroki's eyes widened as Izuku's fingers inched towards his headband, he had no time to react with his ice as he came at him from his left. In almost an instinctual movement, fire erupted from his left as Izuku instantly had to divert himself from the blaze as he landed not so elegantly.
"Whoa! That was close, I was almost flash-fried broccoli!" he patted down his hair and smouldered a little.
Todoroki stared at his left arm in disarray as the flames lingered on his left side, and he quickly extinguished the flames. His fist gripped tight as he set a glare at Izuki who raised a brow at the look he was giving him.
"Okay…that's a look people shoot their enemies… you okay?" Todoroki remained silent as he glared at the boy. "Okay, you're angry. I get that. But hey, I'm curious. Why are you only using half your strength?"
"It doesn't concern you…"
"Yeah but…that seems kind of stupid don't you think? If you used your other half you'd probably be mopping the floor with half of us. Why are you holding back?" Todoroki glared as more ice spread across the ground. "Okay, not going to talk. That's fine…" Izuku fired a web line as Todoroki shot a spread of ice towards him. "I need to focus on winning anyway."
"Not if I can help it, Deku!" Bakugo exploded through the ice, as he barreled towards Izuku.
"There he is! Get him!" One of the Students yelled, as more of them found their way towards the centre and they all charged at Izuku who sighed and rolled his shoulders.
"Okay…here we go…" Izuku braced himself as he prepared to fight off the other students. 'One for All: Full Cowling 20%' Izuku activated as green electricity danced around his form.
Izuku flipped out of Bakugo's way while shooting a line of web at his back and spinning him around, before throwing him into other students. Todoroki's ice shot out at him, as he backflipped and fired several globs of webs before being blocked by a wall of ice. He ejected the spent cartridges and was about to load a new one in when vines shot out from under him. He jumped up onto a wall grabbed the new cartridge from mid-air and then shot a glob of web at Ibara as it pinned her to the wall.
He ducked from Sero's tape coming at him, before he grabbed the tape and pulled the boy towards him and then kicked him far back. He then stopped a pair of enlarged hands from grabbing him before throwing Kendo away. He rolled out of the way from Rikido's sugar-enhanced punch, while webbing his hands to the ground. His Spider-Sense went off, as he dodged small flying projectiles being launched at him by a girl with silver hair. Only to become enlarged, as another girl made them revert to their original size, as Izuku jumped and dodged around them.
"Whoa!" he yelped as he made it out of the way, only he didn't have time to dodge a blast of lightning, as Denki managed to hit him with a lightning attack. But once again, the lightning reacted differently as it was absorbed into him and turned green.
"Hit him again!" he could hear Momo yell, as she spied him from afar with her binoculars. "He may be able to absorb lightning attacks! But he must have a limit like Kaminari!"
The students nodded as they piled on attacks at Midoriya, who was having to duck and dodge from all different angles. Unaware of the growing charge that was building in his chest. He was forced to avoid their attacks, but so many from every direction were getting hard, as he was blasted by lightning, avoided near misses from projectile horns, dodging fists from a beast-like man, and Rikido's fists.
On top of that, he was forced to avoid Bakugo's explosions, as they barely missed him by a hair. While jumping around large shards of ice sprouting out of the ground. He was surrounded, and being hit with everything they had.
'I need to focus! Get to high ground! Catch my breath! Just until the last person loses their headband!' Izuku rationalized with himself, as he felt energy charging in his chest.
Izuku could feel his heartbeat increasing as the charge in his chest started to glow brighter and brighter. He tried to jump back, only to be hit by a laser beam, as Aoyama managed to get Izuku in the back.
"Quick, get him!" One of the students yelled as they all charged at him. Izuku's heart beat faster and faster, as the charge began to grow brighter and his heart was soon illuminated in his chest. A loud electrical charge whined in his ears until finally all that energy he felt building in his chest…
Was unleashed
He threw his arms out as a massive blast of green electrical energy shot out from his body. The energy blasted out in a large radius, as it struck every student near him. The energy spread out like a massive electrified spider web, as any student close to him got caught and suddenly found themselves unable to move as they fell to the ground paralysed.
"W-What the hell!?"
"I-I can't move!"
"What did he-What did he do!?"
Todoroki and Bakugo kept themselves at a distance, as they stared at the boy. Bakugo's eyes narrowed into a glare, as he gripped his fist.
'Deku…is this something else you've been hiding from me?'he questioned while Todoroki stared at him.
'What was that?'
Ochako floated down as she stared at the boy and the multiple students who were paralyzed by Izuku's sudden burst of energy.
"Deku?"
Izuku fell to his knees as he breathed out heavy breaths. The ground around him was scorched by the discharge as the entire stadium and the students were silent and staring at him. Electricity still sparked around him, as he looked around at the students paralysed by his attack.
"W-What the hell!?" he looked over to Denki, as green lightning sparked around him and the others. "I-I can't move! T-This has n-never happ-happened to me!?" Denki shouted as Izuku stared.
"What…what the heck was that?" he looked down at his hands, as his nerves glowed beneath his skin, before fading. He looked around as everyone stared at him with both awe and fear. "Is… is my lightning… different?"
"AND THAT'S GAME TIME!"
A loud buzzer went off as everyone snapped themselves out of their stupor and looked to Midnight as she gestured to the board.
"16 players are now left in the game and that concludes this round folks!" Midnight suddenly proclaimed on the mic, as an image showed Mei Hatsume holding the last headband using some sort of device to grab it, as she flashed a peace sign at the camera.
'Thank you Hatsume!' Izuku praised in his head as Bakugo dropped to his knees and slammed his fist on the ground.
"Damn it! I was so close!" he snapped up to Deku as he pointed at him. "This isn't over yet, Deku! You may have won this round, but I will beat you!"
"…how is your throat not hoarse?" Izuku questioned as Todoroki merely glared, before looking to his left hand and gripping it into a fist.
He shoved both of them into his pockets and walked away. Izuku looked back at the teen as he narrowed his gaze. He knew something was bothering him, but it wasn't his place to ask. Also, he was hell-bent on taking him down for some reason, so talking was definitely off the table for now.
"Deku! Are you okay!?" Ochako rushed over to Izuku who nodded but cautioned her to stay back, as he slowly stood up.
"Yeah, I'm okay… that was… that was new," he looked down at his hands. "Guess it's something else I need to figure out?" he said as Ochako nodded.
"You definitely have a weird Quirk, Deku," she looked at the paralysed students. "Are they going to be okay?" she asked as Izuku nodded.
"Yeah, I think so… I don't think it's permanent, and I'm sure Recovery Girl will know what to do?" he reasoned as the Medical bots went onto the field and picked up the students paralysed by Izuku's attack, as they were rushed off to Recovery Girl.
"While our bots take care of the students, I will now announce the current survivalists of this match. First Place: Izuku Midoriya!" a picture of Izuku appeared on the monitor, and Izuku sighed. "Followed by Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo in Second and Third Place!"
Bakugo ground his teeth as he radiated anger, so much so that Izuku was tempted to hide away with his invisibility. "And the following 16 quarter-finalists are…" pictures appeared on a screen of the following quarter-finalists…

"Looks like a lot of Class A made it into the Quarterfinals and some of Class B. That guy from General Studies, and hey, even Mei made it in!" Izuku noticed as Ochako raised a brow at him.
"How do you know her, Deku?"
"Oh, she's from the Support Department. She's been helping me to refine my Web Shooters and Costume. She's… a little odd, but she's smart and resourceful," he said as Ochako narrowed her gaze at him and the pink-haired girl who was looking out at all the potential investors.
"Now, we'll be taking a Short One hour break so we can prepare for the next match! All finalists that made the cut, head to the break room! The rest head to your designated areas!" Midnight was announced as all the students headed to their areas.
Meanwhile, up in the box, the teachers were in discussion about what had just happened with Izuku Midoriya.
"What was that? I've seen Electrical Quirks before, but that one felt… different?" Ectoplasm noted as the others nodded.
"Darn tooting, I reckon that was a first for the kid too. But I thought he was supposed to have a Spider-like Quirk. How does electricity factor into it?" Snipe said as Vlad crossed his arms.
"I read in the report that he used a similar electrical attack against the Villain called Nomu. The principal thinks it might be related to the Van der Waals Force. But that looked more powerful than a static blast. Dang, if only I got him in my class," Vlad grumbled as the other teachers sighed. Toshinori and Nezu shared a glance as they whispered to each other.
"This was an unexpected result. It would seem Midoriya has more power than we realised. And from the looks of young Kaminari, not even electric users are immune to its effects. We will have to tread more carefully now, lest we accidentally get the other students harmed?" Nezu whispered as Toshinori nodded.
"I agree, I'm going to go talk with Young Midoriya, see what he has figured?" he suggested as the Principal nodded and Toshinori snuck out of the teacher's box before bulking up and zooming down the hall.
'Young Midoriya… You are becoming more and more interesting and complicated as time goes on,' he thought as he rushed down towards the students.
"Ah, man! I can't believe I didn't make it!" Kirishima groaned as he and Tetsutesu hung their heads.
"We got so focused on beating each other up that we forgot to grab the headbands…" Tetsutetsu groaned as both of them had gotten caught up in their fight.
"It's important to pay attention to the rules," Fumikage said as he and Darkshadow successfully stole their headbands and several others.
"Good job making it to the finals, Tsu and Ochako!" Toru exclaimed as she hugged the two.
"We were surprised you made it as well, Toru. Guess you used your invisibility to your advantage?"
"Yep! It was tricky sneaking around everyone, I had to make sure they didn't notice a floating headband!"
"It was a little odd," Ojiro commented as he remembered seeing a headband float on by.
"If it were any other event, I doubt I could've made it. I only wish I could make my clothes disappear too, like Izuku! Still unfair!" she huffed.
"Just be glad you weren't close to him when he let off that energy blast. Man, what else can that guy do?" Sero said as he walked with the others. "And how the heck was Denki paralysed? I thought he was immune to electric attacks?"
"It was odd… Midoriya's lightning is different from standard electrical attacks. He will be a tough opponent to beat…" Ida said as he adjusted his glasses in thought.
"Hey, where is Midoriya?" Mina asked as she and the others looked around.
"I think I saw Todoroki pull him aside. Wonder what that's all about?" Kaminari said as Bakugo looked to the hall the two went down.
Meanwhile, Todoroki and Izuku stared at each other, Izuku looked confused while Todoroki merely stared at him.
"…So uh….was there something you wanted to ask me? Cause I uh, I'd like to get something to eat before the next match," Izuku quipped as Todoroki glared.
"…You pushed me…"
"…I pushed you? I mean, I shot some web at you, maybe thrown stuff at you, but I don't think I pushed you. Not like I could've gotten close with that fire of yours," Todoroki's glare sharpened as Izuku shut his mouth.
"That's not what I meant…you overwhelmed me into using my left side. You made me break my pledge."
"Your Pledge?"
"That I would never use my left side," his eyes narrowed into a glare. "I don't know why, but the moment you got close to me I felt an instinct to use my left side. During the USJ incident, I learned that the creature Nomu was supposed to be designed to match All Might at his own 100%. I believe All Might would have defeated him, yet you did before he even arrived. And given how strong Nomu was, it means you have strength similar to All Might. And I've noticed All Might has taken a keen interest in you, and it makes me wonder…" he looked up to Izuku and was mentally bracing himself for whatever conclusion he came to.
"Are you All Might's Secret Love child?"
…okay, admittedly, he wasn't expecting that
"…Am I his what?"
"Is your father actually All Might himself?" Izuku blinked, rubbed the bridge of his nose, and then stared back at the dual-haired boy.
"Okay…how the heck did you come to that conclusion? If you haven't noticed, All Might and I don't look anything alike. I have green hair and eyes, he has blonde hair and blue eyes."
"You could've inherited more from your mother than your father."
"Okay granted that, but my mum has never met All Might, other than when she got a call from the school about the USJ incident." Okay, he knew that was a little bit of a lie. But still, he didn't need everyone finding out they met months earlier. "And I know who my dad is. And yes, he hasn't been in my life since I was 4, and yes he kind of abandoned my mother and me for 13 years or so. Claims it was overseas work, and sure I would've loved the idea of All Might being my father, even being the subject of several fanfics I wrote in the past. I can assure you he's not my father, despite the fact I haven't seen my dad in so many years. Hell, I don't even know if he's still alive other than the checks we get in the mail! I mean seriously, who leaves their wife and child for years on end!? He's probably sitting on some remote island with a coconut drink and some supermodel on his lap! What kind of man does that to his family!? Huh!? Dead beasts, that's who!" He breathed out heavily as Todoroki stared at him.
"…that's rough buddy."
"Sorry… got a little carried away there… Don't know where that came from?" Izuku breathed in calmly. "But what does All Might have to do with this?"
"You know that my father is Endeavour, the Number 2 Hero, right?" Izuku nodded. "My bastard father has been trying to make a name for himself for years. He made it to the Number 2 spot, but he's been stuck in the shadow of the living Legend that is All Might. He's tried for years to get out from under his shadow, but All Might always stands at the Number One spot. So he figured if he can't make it to the top, someone else will. So he came up with a plan…"
"Okay…so what does this have to do with me?"
"Have you heard of Quirk Marriages?" Izuku shook his head at this. "Back during the Second to Third Generation of Quirks, individuals with powerful Quirks would choose partners of equal or greater calibre and force them into a marriage agreement. To pass down a stronger version of their Quirk onto their children."
"That seems… unethical," Izuku shuddered at the idea of being forced into marrying someone.
"Ethics were lacking back in those early years. My father approached my mother's family and they agreed to the marriage. All so he could get his hands on my mother's Quirk…" his eyes narrowed into a glare as he stared at his left arm. "He wants to make me into a Hero that will 'Exceed All Might' using his name and inheriting his Quirk, I was created solely to surpass him…" Izuku swallowed nervously as Todoroki glared. "I hated it… I was nothing more than a tool for his ambition… It drove my family apart. My mother… All I remember of her is that she always cried. She couldn't stand being in that marriage… said 'She couldn't stand seeing the left side of my face'… right before she threw scalding water at it…" Izuku's eyes widened in shock. Behind a corner, Bakugo listened on as he stood there listening to Todorki.
He couldn't possibly imagine what it must've been like for him. To live like that and to one day have someone you saw as a mother snap and hurt you. All because one man was obsessed with becoming the Number 1 hero. If this had been a manga he'd be the protagonist with a Backstory like that.
"That's why I made a vow to myself. That I would rise through the Ranks, using only my right side. By denying that part of myself, I'll be denying part of him. My revenge will be to become Greater than he will ever be, by using nothing from him…" he declared as Izuku stared at the boy worryingly. "Sorry to bother you with this. I didn't tell you this to make you feel pity for me. Whatever relationship you have with All Might, you can keep to yourself. I just want to let you know I'll beat you without using my left side…" he declared as he walked away, Izuku stared before gripping his fist.
"…You know…I've had help since my Quirk activated." Todoroki paused as he looked back.
"The first day I got my Quirk, I was told I had to be careful, otherwise I could hurt someone. I guess it's like that with most Quirks. I got mine far later than most, and I'm playing serious catch-up with everyone. But I've had people helping me and pushing me to reach my potential. To become the Hero I need to be. I'm going to repay their kindness and become a Great Hero, like All Might," he said as he looked Todoroki in the eyes. "I can't begin to know what you've been through, and in ways, I'm glad I haven't. But right now, let me say that I am going to beat you." Todoroki merely stared before walking away from him.
"That's fine… still won't change the outcome…" he said as Izuku shook his head.
"That guy…I'd say he needs to chill, but that's pretty lame as puns go…" he said before he noticed Bakugo walk away. "Surprised he didn't say anything…" he shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well I have one rival that has daddy issues and another that has a superiority complex… if we ever become friends, I'll eat my mask."
"Young Midoriya!" he turned to see All Might in his skinny form, as he ran up to him. "Finally found ya, was looking all over the cafeteria for ya."
"Oh, hey All - I mean, Mister Toshinori!" Izuku quickly covered up as he looked around to make sure no one was within earshot. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm here to talk about what just happened in the last event. That massive energy blast you just unleashed," he said as Izuku blinked before his eyes widened.
"…Oh! Shoot! That's right! Sorry, with everything Todoroki was talking about I completely forgot!"
"Don't worry about it kid. Anyway, what was that back there? Was it like what happened with Nomu?" he asked as Izuku nodded.
"Sort of… this one felt more like… I don't know how to describe it, but it was like I was being overwhelmed by everything. My body was taking in so much stress that I could feel this… tingling in my chest. I thought it was just my nerves, or adrenaline pumping through my heart. But the next thing I knew this sensation had to get out and then… bam! I'm unleashing this massive 'Mega Venom Blast' and everyone around me was paralyzed and couldn't get up. By the way, are they okay?"
"Yeah, I just got off the phone with Recovery Girl. She said the effects wore off, and they should make a full recovery."
"By the way, how did my electricity manage to paralyse Kaminari? I thought he would be immune to that sort of attack?"
"Well…this is just a theory… but Recovery Girl believes maybe your electricity doesn't come from normal electrical currents as Kaminari does. She thinks you're using 'Bio-Electricity'. You've somehow managed to harness the bio-electrical energy that all living things possess. And clearly, it has a different effect on others. Which might explain how you were able to take down that Nomu creature during the Incident," All Might explained as Izuku nodded.
"Okay, so I really gotta work on controlling these powers… I just don't get it. Why can't I get a hold of them?"
"Young Midoriya…" All Might put his hands on his shoulder. "It's not a race. Your powers are Amazing and Spectacular. But they are also unpredictable and dangerous. You'll get a handle on them eventually. Don't try and force it, you can only run when you've learned to walk." Izuku stared at his mentor and idol before he nodded.
"Yeah… okay… thanks All Might…" the skinny man smiled at him, as he patted the boy's shoulder. "By the way, Todoroki had this crazy idea that I was secretly your 'Love Child', how crazy is that?"
"Ha! That is hilarious!"
"Yeah! Me, the son of All Might! If only!" Both of them laughed, as they shook their heads. "But for that to have happened, you would've had to have met my mum way before I was even born! Hahahahahaha!"
"I know! I didn't even meet her until recently! Ahahahahahahaha!"
"Yeah! But I mean it's not like you're dating my mum or anything like that, right!? hahahahahahaha!" Izuku laughed while All Might suddenly stopped and went silent. Both of them stared at each other, as an awkward silence drifted between them.
"…"
"…All Might are you dating my mum?"
"Uh, oh look at the time! You have to go and get something to eat! And I'm needed at the Teachers Lounge!" He said while bulking up and running. "Well-got-to-go-talk-later-bye!" he dashed off at super speeds.
"You get back here this instant young man! Are you dating my mother!? All Might!" Izuku yelled to the retreating Hero before he slapped a hand over his face and breathed in a heavy breath. "One thing at a time…" he turned his body and walked towards the cafeteria.
What a week for our Young Spider-Themed hero. Declarations of War, Family Drama, New Development in his powers and now his mentor and mother might be dating? This was a lot for the young Hero to face. But Izuku was known for one thing, and it was his stubbornness to never back down. For he wanted to be the Greatest Hero the World would ever know. And he was not going to let anything keep him down.
"When the heck did they start dating?"
…okay maybe one or two things. But that was nothing compared to what he would face ahead. During the next event.
Omake: Revenge of the Cheerleaders
Izuku walked down the hall, as he wanted to try and at least get something to eat. Between Todoroki pulling him aside, and finding out his mother and mentor might be secretly dating behind his back, his already overly analytical mind was running a mile a minute.
"Okay but are they dating? When did they start dating and why wouldn't they tell me? I'm good at keeping secrets! I've kept his secret! Do they think I can't handle it!? I can handle it! Look at me handling it!" Izuku stopped ranting as he sighed and breathed in and out. "Okay, maybe I'm overthinking this. They might not even be dating, maybe he has feelings for my mum? But does she have feelings for him? I mean, I can't see why not. He's All Might, who wouldn't? But she's still married to Dad, but we haven't heard from him in like years, and I havem't seen or heard him call her. And whenever I bring it up she gets all sad…" he kicked a small pebble down the hall. "Did she file for divorce or is it an open relationship - no! Don't want to think that! Ugh!" he resisted the urge to hurl as he put a hand over his mouth before settling himself. "Okay, file it away for later. Just get some food, and focus on winning. That's all that matters," he decided as he walked past the girl's locker room, and several figures came out.
"Hey it's Deku, there you are! Where've you been!?" he suddenly heard Ochako's voice as he breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, hey Uraraka, sorry I got pulled aside by Todoroki and - SWEET NEBRASKA SMASH!" his eyes bugged out as he was face to face with the girls of Class 1 A all dressed in U.A. Cheerleader Uniforms. Most of them looked embarrassed about being dressed up in their uniforms, others like Jiro had eyes that screamed bloody murder, and Toru… she was surprisingly into it.
"I-I-I W-W-What are you wearing!?"
"Apparently, the girls of the Heroics Class are supposed to participate with the Cheerleaders after lunch. We didn't have time to find the Uniforms, so Momo made some for us," Ochako said as she blushed and played with her pom-poms. "Does it… look bad?"
"Uh-eh-ah, yes - no wait I mean no! I-I mean you look good! I mean great! I mean-" Izuku had to punch himself in the face to calm down. "You look…cute…" he blushed deep red as Ochako did the same.
"O-Oh, thank you…" she mumbled while shuffling on her feet.
"How about me!? Do I look cute Midoriya!?" Toru shouted as she bounced up and down.
"O-oh! Uh, yeah y-you look cute too," Izuku said with a blush. "Y-You all do," he said as the girls blushed at that.
"Aw~! Aren't you sweet Midoriya!" Mina said as Jiro blushed and twirled with her headphone jacks. Even Tsuyu had a small blush on her neutral face.
"S-Still, I didn't know this was a thing? U.A. really does allow anything, huh?"
"Yeah, we were surprised when Mineta told us about it," Momo said as Izuku stopped blushing and he turned his head back to the girls.
"…Wait… Mineta told you about this?" the girls nodded. "The small grape-haired, well-established pervert that wants to make a Harem. That Mineta?" he asked at that, as they nodded again.
"Yeah, he and Kaminari said that Aizawa-Sensei wanted us to participate with the cheerleaders and that the Class B girls would be participating as well," Jiro said as Izuku's eyes narrowed into a glare and looked back to the cafeteria.
"But that doesn't make sense, why would…Oh, I see… those little…" he turned back to the girls. "I hate to tell you this, but I think Mineta played you guys. There is no cheerleading event. He made it up to get you to dress up for his perverted fantasy," he told them as their eyes widened.
"W-What!? But they said that it was an order from Aizawa-Sensei!" Momo stammered as Izuku raised a brow.
"Do you honestly think Aizawa-super-serious-lays-in-a sleeping-bag-all-day-Sensei, would want you to dress up in Cheerleader outfits? The same guy who said that hanging out and socialising was a waste of students' time?" The girls slowly came to the same realization as Jiro curled her fists around her pompom.
"Those little bastards! I'm going to kill them!" she shouted and threw her pompom to the ground.
"…I can't believe I let them trick me…" Momo hung her head in shame, while Tsuyu and Ochako patted her on the shoulder.
"It's not your fault, we believed him because Kaminari was with him. We didn't know he was like Mineta," Ochako tried to comfort.
"Although given the face he made back during yours and Midoriya's match, we should've caught on," Tsuyu recalled as the girls nodded.
"Oh yeah, he totally did," Mina remembered as they shivered at the realization there were two perverts in their class.
"But hey, good thing Midoriya was passing by, who knows how this would've turned out?" Toru said as she turned to Midoriya and smiled before hugging him.
"Thanks Midoriya!" Izuku blushed red and nodded his head.
"U-Uh yeah! N-No problem!" he stuttered nervously while Ochako's cheeks puffed up.
"But what about Mineta and Kaminari? We can't just let them get away with this," Momo asked before Jiro got an idea and she smirked.
"Oh, I have an idea… Hey, Midoriya," Izuku turned to her. "Can you go get Mineta and Kaminari and bring them here? We want to…have a chat… with them about their little prank," she grinned darkly as Izuku raised a brow before nodding.
"O-Okay…"
"They may try and escape, don't be afraid to web them up," she told him as he nodded and left down the hall after the two nimrods. "While he collects the two perverts, let's go get changed. And Momo, do you think you can make two more uniforms?" she asked Momo, as the girls stared at her before grinning as well.
15 Minutes Later
Everyone was starting to gather in the main area, as the students walked out. Class 1 A and B, General and Support strolled out to a thunderous crowd, the cameras were rolling as they filmed every single moment of the students walking out. Prepared to show the world the future generation of the next Heroes…
So imagine their surprise when Mineta and Kaminari walked out wearing matching U.A. Female Cheerleader uniforms and looking absolutely mortified.
"…Uh…Aizawa…why are two of your students wearing Cheerleader uniforms?"
"…I honestly don't know…but somehow I get the feeling Mineta was involved…"
Mineta and Kaminari were hanging their heads so low, that they would've buried them in the dirt as the cameras had panned towards them.
"…I can't believe this is happening… I should've never listened to you…" Kaminari groaned.
"Hey! It's not my fault! How was I supposed to know Midoriya would tell them!?"
"It's what you perverts get!" Jiro shouted as she and the girls were back in their Gym Uniforms, with Midoriya and Ida standing next to them. "You're just lucky we ran into Midoriya, otherwise I'd give you two such a beating!"
"I almost feel sorry for them…" Izuku grimaced as he watched the boys wear the girl's Cheerleader uniforms.
He still recalled having to web them up and drag them back to the girls, who were not happy to see the two. He and Ida then had to stand in front of the male bathrooms and make them dress up in the Cheerleader uniforms. Mineta tried to make a break for it, with emphasis on trying. But he didn't get far, and Kamainari had no choice but to surrender. And now here they stood, dressed up in their machinations and parading around for all the world to see.
"Don't be Midoriya, they attempted to deceit and humiliate our fellow classwomen! I'm not one for creative punishments, but this is theirs for trying such trickery on their classmates! And as Class President, I will allow it!" Ida declared with his signature arm wave.
"I'm sorry! I really am sorry! I promise I won't trick you guys again! Just please let me change! My parents are watching!" Kaminari pleaded as he tried to cover himself. While Mineta himself was cursing, as he hated how his brilliant plan failed. When suddenly, a thought came to him.
"…Wait a minute… if Midoriya saw them first… then that means he must've seen…" Mineta realised before he snapped to Izuku with pure anger and jealousy in his eyes.
"MIDORIYA YOU BASTARD! YOU GOT TO SEE THE HOLY SIGHT, DIDN'T YOU!? YOU SAW THE SEXIEST GIRLS IN OUR CLASS IN CHEERLEADER UNIFORMS! YOU DAMN HAREM PROTAGONIST! I BET IN GRATITUDE THEY FLASHED YOU THEIR PANTIES AND SHOWED YOU A PEEK AT THEIR HEAVENLY FRUIT! YOU BASTAAAAR-GAH!"
Mineta was instantly plastered to the wall, as Izuku blasted him with an entire web cartridge pinning him to the wall. He glared angrily at the boy who was covered in so much webs, that he would be mistaken for a wad of cotton candy. Luckily his nostril was uncovered.
"Annnd~ there goes any sympathy I had for the little bastard," Izuku growled as he ejected the clips, he unknowingly earned himself extra brownie points from the girls that day. While Mineta went down heavily in the girl's eyes.
As if it couldn't get any lower?
