Another interpretation of cultivation in the Middle Worlds comes from the novel Troublemaker's Guide to Immortality (师妹的修炼方法它不科学), which I'm also translating. In this system, the stages are Tianxian, Jinxian, Xuanxian, and Xiandi.
Additionally, I've included one stage from I, Xi He, the Strongest Empress (我,羲和,最强女帝)—Zhenxian—to give a fuller perspective on the progression of ascension in the Immortal Plane.
1. Celestial Immortal (天仙, Tiānxiān)
The entry-level of immortality. Celestial Immortals have shed their mortal coil and gained true immortal bodies, no longer subject to the cycle of life and death.
2. True Immortal (真仙, Zhēnxiān)
True Immortals have perfected their connection to the Dao, vastly enhancing their control over energy and matter. They are immune to most physical and spiritual attacks and can reshape their surroundings with thought alone.
True Immortals are nearly invincible, able to regenerate from severe injuries, and can use techniques that influence time and space on a small scale. At this level, they start to develop their own domains
3. Golden Immortal (金仙, Jīnxiān)
Golden Immortals are beings of pure, refined power, who have thoroughly mastered the Dao of Immortality. Their bodies are indestructible, and their spiritual strength is so vast that they can create new laws within their own territories.
4. Mystic Immortal (玄仙, Xuánxiān)
Mystic Immortals delve deeper into the mysteries of the universe, gaining profound insights into the laws of heaven and earth. They can wield higher-order spells and techniques that surpass common immortals and can even bend the natural laws to their will.
Their presence alone can affect the natural order, such as freezing time or altering the flow of space within their domain.
5. Immortal Emperor (仙帝, Xiāndì)
The pinnacle of the Immortal Plane, Immortal Emperors are nearly invincible among immortals. Immortal Emperors are supreme beings who command the highest authority among immortals.
They wield supreme control over multiple laws and have vast authority. Their presence can alter the flow of celestial bodies, and they are often worshipped as gods by lesser beings.
