A Child of Luck is an individual favored by fate, the Heavenly Dao, or the will of the world/plane itself. Cultivation realms are governed not only by strength and talent but also by Qi Luck (气运 qìyùn), and Children of Luck are essentially walking embodiments of it.

1. The Will of the World / Plane Consciousness (位面意志 Wèimiàn Yìzhì)
In many worlds, the entire realm has a consciousness, known as the Will of Heaven, the Plane Will, or simply the Dao. This consciousness seeks balance, order, or progress. When calamity looms — such as an invasion, decline of the Dao, or stagnation — it may "select" an individual to carry its will and reshape the future.
Such a person becomes the Child of the Plane, a vessel of fate. They may be born with miraculous talent or blessed with golden opportunities at every turn. They are not chosen because they are kind, but because they align with the world's needs.
2. Reincarnation or Rebirth of a Great Soul
Sometimes, a Child of Destiny is not born blessed but becomes so through reincarnation — the rebirth of a powerful soul, ancient immortal, or divine fragment. Their immense karmic weight pulls fortune toward them, making their new life extraordinary. They may carry past knowledge, techniques, or deep understanding of the Dao.
3. Heavenly Dao's Attempt at Restoration
If the world is corrupted, and righteousness has lost its footing, the Heavenly Dao may give birth to a "heavenly tribulation in human form." A Heaven's Chosen may be born to purge the world of chaos, rebuild a fallen sect, or restore balance. In this case, the person is not only lucky, but destined to transform the era.
4. Karmic Compensation
In rare cases, a person might suffer greatly in a past life or ancestral line. Their current life becomes a form of karmic repayment — the Dao "owes" them, and thus bestows upon them great luck. These characters might not know why they're lucky, but their fortune is rooted in deep past causes.
