Lynn stood by the window, staring out as the city buzzed beneath her. From this high up, everything looked small — manageable.
Unlike Jayden.
> "He won't stop," she said, arms folded. "He didn't come to haunt me. He came to ruin everything."
Lwandile leaned against the desk, watching her. Calm. Calculated.
> "Then we don't wait for him to move," he said. "We move first."
She turned to him. "You mean...?"
> "We find out what he has, who he's working with, and how far he's willing to go. Then we flip it on him."
Lynn bit her lip. The old her would've gone straight to war. No hesitation. No mercy. But this time, they had more to lose.
> "What if he exposes everything?" she asked. "What if he really knows—"
> "Then we make it irrelevant before he even opens his mouth," Lwandile said. "You said we'd build an empire. That means protecting it."
She paced, gears turning.
> "I know someone who still owes me a favor," she muttered. "He works in records and leaks. If Jayden filed anything, we'll find it."
Lwandile smirked. "There she is."
Lynn looked up, eyes sharp. "If Jayden wants war... then let's make it expensive."
He walked over, taking her hand.
> "We do this together," he said. "No more ghosts. No more running."
> "Only power," she whispered.
And just like that, the plan was born. Not out of fear—but out of fire.
They wouldn't just stop Jayden.
They'd bury him.
