Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 "Dragon Blood-Assimilation Divine Art"

"For a year!" The voice came in unison.

Ru Feng, Bai Hua, Madam Ai, and even the servant who guided them earlier, asked in a similar tone. However, Long Wei ignored them and left.

The jade slip contained the map of the city, as well as info about the interior of the courtyard, so she directly headed that way, leaving others behind.

As he was dragged by Long Wei, Xuan looked back at Ru Feng and Bai Hua, "Let's go."

Both of them shook their heads, seeing Long Wei's tantrum and began following them.

Once they were gone, Madam Ai's expression became serious. 'They can't be ordinary people,' she thought, while her true intention wasn't clear.

Finally, they reached the place. "This is bigger than what I had thought," Xuan spoke.

He looked at the big gates and the walls which stretched for 1000 meters.

Long Wei happily rushed inside with Xuan. "Husband! This isn't much better, but better than that inn Ru Feng was taking us earlier."

"This isn't much? What type of life were you living before?" Xuan was truly stunned by her words.

To Long Wei, the 1000-meter-long mansion which could comfortably accommodate 40 to 50 people was nothing in her eyes.

Xuan asked, "How come you have so much money, which even surprised the woman working there?"

Ru Feng had the same question in her mind, "That's what I wanted to know too. Hope you haven't emptied the vault of some sect or cultivation family."

She was afraid that Long Wei's actions might have invited some unexpected problems.

Long Wei answered with a prideful tone, "You think I'm some thief, robbing families and sects? No! I'm not that type of person; I'm a member of the Royal Dragon Clan."

Though Xuan couldn't think of how big the Royal Dragon Clan was, but just being a dragon with a royal title was enough for him to know how grand they could be.

This only made him think what Long Wei's status in the Royal Dragon Clan would be.

Ru Feng snorted but couldn't refute Long Wei, because she was from a normal cultivation family.

As for Bai Hua, she wasn't interested in status or anything; her only goal was power. Her background was even simpler; she was adopted by an elder from her sect whom she treats as her mother.

Xuan was already aware of the details about their life during their journey to Cloud Severing City, except that Long Wei was from the royal lineage.

Then Ru Feng and Bai Hua decided to inquire about the city, its power structure, and the people who were after Xuan, including his current family, the Yu family, leaving Xuan and Long Wei alone.

Meanwhile, Xuan asked Long Wei to teach him some of her techniques.

Long Wei felt so content that she jumped on him, but Xuan stopped her before she could seduce him.

"Stop! This isn't the right time."

But how could Long Wei back off without anything? She asked Xuan that in return for one of her techniques, he'd let her kiss him.

How could he not agree to that, but still showed stern expressions, still agreeing in the end.

"Remember your promise." She joyfully smiled, then spoke, "The first thing I'm going to teach you is the most common technique among the Dragonborn."

She told him that this technique is just like a cultivation technique, but this is more like a bloodline cultivation technique which any being with a little ounce of dragon blood can use to empower their strength to their limit.

However, this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

She told him, "Even a young dragon like me can only reach up to level 4 at this moment, even when I have the purest bloodline."

"The technique is called, Dragon Blood-Assimilation Divine Art. It has 9 levels, and the more you can reach the higher level in this technique, the more you can unlock dragon bloodline power."

Xuan closed his eyes and recited the verse of the Dragon Blood-Assimilation Divine Art.

He thought this might be of no use or he couldn't understand much because he was from Earth, but upon reciting it, something flashed in his memories like a flood.

Suddenly his blood began to boil and his body became like hot iron.

On the other hand, Long Wei had decided to share her blood with him so he could learn it later even if he failed at this moment, but when she saw something which felt impossible, she gasped, taking in hot air.

An aura rapidly surged in Xuan's body, then swept like a tornado, forcing Long Wei on her knees while the aura didn't subside and went beyond the walls of the courtyard, startling people who could only wonder what actually happened?

In his memories, Xuan felt himself transformed into a dragon, a being with golden scales and a body which could hold the entire world in its single tiny scale.

Solely his aura diminished, just like it had risen, and he opened his eyes. With shock he asked Long Wei, who was trying to get on her feet, "What happened?"

Long Wei in return had a red face; she was gasping for air.

She tried to speak, "Suddenly your aura turned into that of a Dragon Elder, or even a more powerful one, which began suppressing me, forcing me to acknowledge you as a higher existence than mine."

However, seeing her expressions, Xuan could only think of one word: pervert dragon woman.

Then she asked, "Husband! As you have promised, I want my kiss."

She leaned on him; however, Xuan would not want to break the momentum, so he could only promise her that she can take that all together.

She pouted but still agreed, But before that she asked, "What happened? I thought this isn't going to work?"

Xuan recalled what he felt, then told her what he saw in his memories. Long Wei had dazed expressions on her face, "What if you were a dragon in your previous life?"

Xuan nodded, but he cannot answer it correctly, especially since it was his past life which he cannot recall. "Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. This is puzzling me even more now."

Long Wei recovered from her dazed thoughts, and suggested, "Should I teach you a more fathomable technique which only those with pure blood can perform? Maybe we can see if you can learn it or not?"

Xuan agreed.

If there is a technique which only pure-blood dragons can learn, then this may clear some of his doubts if his past was actually related to the dragons.
