Chapter 4 - 004 Paramecia: Time Time Fruit

William Weltz gently comforted his slightly naive, somewhat proud, and clearly inexperienced Queen.

He didn't continue talking about Garp, it wasn't worth arguing over.

Instead, his mind was already focused on a bigger question:

How to make the Goa Kingdom stronger and more influential.

With the country's growing prosperity, paying the Celestial Tribute was no burden.

But that didn't mean William was free of pressure.

After all, every transmigrator knows the ultimate goal: To overthrow Imu and the Five Elders.

Now that he had taken a shortcut by becoming King of the Goa Kingdom, William needed to carefully think through his next steps.

Toppling the Celestial Dragons wouldn't be as simple as charging in head-on.

It would require strategy—pressure from the front, from the sides, from above, below… step by step.

His current plan was to pay the Celestial Tribute for a few years

Then find the perfect moment to take everything back at once.

With his Devil Fruit powers, he even had a bold idea:

Become a Celestial Dragon himself from within…

Then, when the time was right, banish Imu far into the future and seize the throne.

Take down the Celestial Dragons.

Become one.

Then rise beyond them.

By the time Imu ever returned, centuries later, William would already stand at the peak

Too powerful to touch.

After all, he had already usurped a throne once.

Why stop now?

If his powers reached the right level, the next step would be simple:

Usurp the world… and become the King of the World.

If William Weltz could banish even Imu, then what were the Gorosei, the Four Emperors, or Sun God Nika to him?

None of them would stand a chance.

Anyone who stood in his way, banished.

Then the entire world would be his to command.

That's right.

William Weltz had obtained the Paramecia-type Toki Toki no Mi (Time-Time Fruit) during his survival and battles in Edge Town.

It was the same Devil Fruit once used by that foolish woman, Toki.

He never expected that the Devil Fruits of the three users who died in Wano Country would all reappear in East Blue.

Kurozumi Semimaru's Barrier-Barrier Fruit had been eaten by Bartolomeo in Loguetown.

And Toki's Time-Time Fruit appeared right in Edge Town of the Goa Kingdom, where William, the transmigrator, happened to be.

At first, William thought this ability was useless.

Just like Toki, he could only travel forward in time, not back.

So what was the point?

He even felt it was worse than Foxy's Slow-Slow Fruit.

But he had been too quick to judge.

It wasn't that the Time-Time Fruit was weak

It was that Toki, the naive woman who leapt forward eight hundred years just to die early, had never developed it properly.

Her poor use of the fruit made William underestimate it.

In truth, it was incredibly powerful.

It was Toki, a simple-minded woman from Wano, stuck in ideals and weakness.

William wouldn't make the same mistake.

Even if the Time-Time Fruit couldn't send someone back to the past, it was still incredibly powerful.

William Weltz preferred to call its group time travel ability "time banishment."

His control and development of the fruit's powers were now thousands of times more refined than Toki's.

Toki once traveled 800 years into the future but still managed to be off by several decades.

With accuracy that poor, it was no wonder her abilities were seen as useless.

Not only was she blind, falling in love with someone like Kozuki Oden but she also lacked the intelligence to truly harness the power of the Time-Time Fruit.

She wasted it and died alongside him as Kozuki Toki. In the end, it was what she deserved.

But William was different.

He had developed a new ability from the Time-Time Fruit, something like Obito's Kamui.

He could leave behind a spatiotemporal phantom while banishing his real body into another timeline.

No one could touch his physical body.

Best of all, he could return whenever he chose.

The only drawback was that it used up stamina and didn't allow teleportation or spatial movement.

Compared to Obito's Kamui dimension, it was a little less practical.

But as a tool for avoiding damage, it was still a god-tier ability.

Its biggest weakness was surprise attacks from powerful enemies.

Even so, William had a countermeasure

When facing someone truly dangerous, he could simply dismiss the phantom and send himself into the future to avoid the fight altogether.

He didn't believe any enemy could ambush him for a lifetime.

And if someone really tried, then he would just outlast them.

After all, while using time travel, William Weltz's lifespan didn't decrease.

The biggest weakness of the Time-Time Fruit was that when used on himself, it couldn't move him through space, only time.

But as William developed his Time Domain, things changed.

By banishing enemies into the future while he remained in the present, he created a kind of relative teleportation.

They couldn't move, but he could.

This was how he dealt with those soldiers, banishing them one by one, then cutting them down the moment they reappeared.

To them, it looked like William had instantly appeared at their side.

That was the illusion of spatial movement created through time manipulation.

Trafalgar Law's ROOM could swap positions instantly using spatial abilities.

William's Time Domain used a different method, sending each enemy to a slightly different future time so that, from their perspective, William had "teleported."

In truth, he was just moving normally but their delay in reappearing made it look like a flash step.

Still, the current Time-Time Fruit had clear limits.

That's why William had to keep getting stronger, relying heavily on all three types of Haki to survive in this world full of monsters.

He suspected that this fruit might be an incomplete version of true time manipulation, one that only allowed access to the future, not the past.

Or maybe it wasn't the fruit's fault—maybe it was because Toki was too weak.

Even now, William himself hadn't found a way to tap into the past

After all, traveling to the past could trigger a butterfly effect and create massive karmic consequences.

A Devil Fruit like the Time-Time Fruit simply wasn't built to handle such a huge burden on the world.

Traveling to the future, on the other hand, caused much less disruption.

Even so, the Time-Time Fruit, despite being incomplete, was still incredibly powerful.

One of its most broken abilities was long-term banishment.

If William Weltz banished an enemy for years or even decades, by the time they returned, they'd be facing a fully developed, peak-version of William.

This alone made the Time-Time Fruit a high-level power.

Even in its early stages, William's version of the ability could forcibly banish targets—unless they had advanced Haki.

It was like the Barrier-Barrier Fruit: its potential is already high from the start.

Most people can't break the barrier, even with Haki.

Only top-level users with the most refined Haki can counter it.

The same goes for time banishment, most current powerhouses can't resist it.

In fact, it was even more advanced than Law's Op-Op Fruit.

Enemies that Law couldn't move with ROOM might still be banished by William Weltz.

The Op-Op Fruit has many abilities, versatile, but not focused.

In contrast, the Time-Time Fruit is pure and advanced.

Time is king, space is revered, that's no exaggeration.

As Blackbeard once said, when two powerful people clash, it all comes down to who strikes first.

Either he kills the Pirate Empress instantly, or she kills him. There's no middle ground.

That's how absurd high-level Devil Fruit powers are.

Even someone like Iron Fist Garp could be banished by William Weltz for years or decades if he lets his guard down and doesn't use Haki to defend.

Look at the Four Emperors:

Big Mom was affected by the awakened Magnet-Magnet Fruit, her body forced into magnetism.

Kaido's body turned into rubber thanks to the powers of Sun God Nika.

If William Weltz can further develop his Time-Time Fruit to banish even Emperor-level powerhouses to a future time...

Then things will really get interesting.

Anyone who provokes him, banished!

Even if it's the Marines or the Celestial Dragons, William Weltz won't spare them.

Not even the God's Knights or the Five Elders will be safe.
