Hold up.
Did I seriously just get reborn in a world where monsters are real?
It sounded outrageous. But with the whole reincarnation, I figured I might as well expect anything from here on out.
Before I could have any time for self-reflection, the doctor jabbed a syringe into my shoulder—probably to calm me down.
And yeah, it did calm me down... for like two seconds.
Then the dizziness hit. The whole world started spinning, colors smeared like a bad painting, and I swear, it felt like someone slipped me some premium-grade mushrooms.
Shit. I just wanted to relax, not go on a spirit quest. Whoever this doctor was, he needed his license shredded.
But it was too late. The drug hit fast, and I felt my consciousness slipping as everything faded to black.
[Booting System...]
Suddenly, a semi-transparent red screen popped up in front of me. It stood out like crazy, because everything else around me was just pure darkness.
Sure, it was getting kind of generic—but I had to admit, the screen looked cool. Like something ripped right out of a video game.
And hey, I wasn't about to complain.
Anything was better than being a full-time vegetable for the rest of my life.
Right now, I didn't even care what kind of system I got. It could be something badass like Dragon System, something sketchy like Porn System, or something straight-up horrifying like Mutation System where I had to eat people to level up.
As long as I could move, breathe, and wipe my own ass, I was sold.
[Analyzing Host: Aptitude, Personality, Skills, Preferences, Mental State...]
Oh great. So now the system's judging me like it was swiping left on a dating app.
I could practically hear it sighing. "Trash stats. Questionable morals. Horny 99% of the time. Mentally unstable. Proceeding anyway."
Bracing for disappointment; or possibly world-ending power. I waited for it to finish loading my fate.

[Host has unlocked the Mind Manipulation System]
I got stuck with the villain starter pack?!
Let's be real. Every protagonist who got a mind control power ended up morally bankrupt by chapter ten.
It was not hard to see why.
The thought of bending drop-dead gorgeous women to my will? Yeah, that was every guy's guilty fantasy at some point—okay, maybe more like every seconds.
It was the classic "what-if" daydream turned real. Only now, I was the main character. And I was very concerned about how excited that made me.
With a deep sigh, my eyes drifted toward the nonexistent sky.
This isn't who I am… The system was corrupting me. I'm pure, and still a virgin, not because I was scared of rejection or anything, but because I respect women. It was a matter of choice. Definitely not chance. D...Definitely.
"Status," I commanded.

Wait. That's it?
Where were my stats? My attributes? The detailed breakdown with numbers and fancy bars?
I was expecting at least a full RPG sheet, just so I could min-max my way to greatness later. The usual illusionist build : assign a few points to charisma, dump the rest into intelligence, or something like that.
But nope. This system felt like it was made by someone who gave up halfway through development.
Lazy as hell.
Just as I was about to open my mouth and give the system a proper scolding for its awful design, I was suddenly yanked out of the darkness.
Next thing I knew, I was back in the hospital bed. No one around. Looked like I been out longer than expected.
I tried to move my hand first, but something didn't feel right.
'Fuck me,' I sneered internally.
Not only was the system lazy with details, it also forgot the bare minimum: healing me.
Almost every system novel has that one basic perk after activation; healing, regeneration, resurrection from ashes, something.
And me? I got a system that can't even cure polio.
Okay… calm down. At least the skill was still there, and it looked like I could finally talk now.
I just had to play it smart: use my head, plan carefully, and pray that someday I would unlock a skill that could actually get me out of this damn bed.
One step at a time... or, well…zero steps for now, but that was idea.
If there was a silver lining in all this, it was how perfectly the system aligned with my interests.
I didn't study it formally, but I spent most of my time reading about psychology, body language, nonverbal communication, detective novels—anything that helped me understand how people think and act.
Why ?
Because it was always my dream to become a detective someday. Not the real ones. They're boring.
I'm talking about the badass ones in TV dramas, solving crimes with nothing but their brains and a cool stare.

Wow.
Honestly, I was kind of hoping I was wrong. That maybe this system was grooming me to be one of those deep, complex villains with tragic pasts and epic goals.
I'm talking about world domination "for the greater good,". Building a resistance army to overthrow my father, then staging a dramatic death at the hands of my best friend once peace was finally achieved… only for it to be a lie, because I was actually alive, lounging on a cart with my green-haired girlfriend.
But no. This was worse.
It was dragging me straight into the role of a generic perverted villain.
The kind whose only selling point was fulfilling some over-the-top, NSFW fantasy you would find buried deep in the internet's questionable corners.
Great. I wasn't just the bad guy…
I was the down-so-bad-I-could-star-in-my-own-hentai guy.
This wasn't a descent into darkness. It was a nosedive into degeneracy.
