Chapter 17 - Ch 17: What am I Doing? - Part 1 [R18]

Kana lay still in the bed, eyes closed, doing her best to pretend she was asleep. She had been trying for what felt like hours.

Unfortunately, her body had other plans.

It wasn't just the unfamiliar bed or the lingering tension from the events of the day—it was the fact that both Lysera and Irielle were practically glued to her sides.

Irielle, to her left, had wrapped her arms around Kana sometime in the middle of the night and refused to let go.

One of her legs had ended up draped across Kana's thighs. Her breathing was even and soft, occasionally tickling Kana's shoulder with warm puffs of air.

On her right, Lysera wasn't much better. Though she had originally kept some distance, she must have shifted in her sleep because her forehead now rested lightly against Kana's temple, and her hand had found Kana's side.

The fabric of her clothes brushed against Kana's bare arm with every small movement.

Kana had never felt more awake in her life.

Her entire body was tense. She tried not to squirm, but every minor shift from either side made her heart jump and her breath hitch.

Despite her best efforts to stay calm, her face felt uncomfortably warm. She kept telling herself that it was fine. That they were all just sleeping. That nothing was happening.

But that didn't change the fact that her thoughts were racing, and the heat crawling up her neck wasn't helping.

"Why is this happening to me? They're just sleeping… they're just sleeping…"

Kana thought in frustration, staring at the ceiling.

Still, no matter how many times she repeated it, the uncomfortable awareness of their bodies so close, pressing against her from both sides, didn't fade.

The worst part? They were all fully clothed, but that almost made things worse—because there was nothing inappropriate going on, Kana couldn't even justify waking them up or pushing them away.

She sighed inwardly and resigned herself to another sleepless night, but the wet patch in her panties would not let her sleep.

Her lower half ached with the need to be touched. Kana tried to ignore her body, but it refused to be ignored.

The ache was getting worse and Kana felt her hand slip inside her panties.

The first touch against her wetness made her breath hitch and her stomach curl. She almost let out a loud moan before she pushed her hand over her mouth to stop herself.

'I should not be doing this. If one of them wakes up and realize what I'm doing, it would be beyond shameful.'

Kana reminded herself. But despite this reminder, her hand refused to stop. One of her fingers curled inside her, causing her breath to hitch.

And just as she was about to enter a second one, Irielle pushed against her back even more.

The soft breasts pressed against her back and Lysera's breath against her neck made Kana shudder and come.

Her wet panties became even wetter with her slick and come, causing any semblance of sleep to run from her mind.

'I-I am doomed! No one can ever know what I did. Otherwise, I will never be able to raise my head ever again.'

Kana felt free and mortified at the same time. But because of what she had experienced and seen up until now, every bone in her body told her to hide what happened.

Sleep was an impossibility that night for her.

Eventually, the faint light of morning slipped through the curtains. Kana's eyes burned, her body stiff from staying still for too long. She hadn't slept at all.

Beside her, Lysera stirred first. Her hand moved slightly, then withdrew from Kana's side. Her eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the dim light, before she turned and caught Kana's gaze.

"You're awake."

Lysera murmured, voice still rough from sleep.

Kana offered a weak smile.

"Yeah."

Lysera shifted to sit up, brushing her hair back as she glanced toward the other side of the bed where Irielle remained blissfully asleep, still clutching Kana's arm.

Lysera turned back to Kana.

"You didn't sleep well."

It wasn't a question.

Kana gave a small laugh.

"I was just… excited. First job and everything."

She lied.

Lysera raised an eyebrow but didn't push.

"Right. Excitement."

They sat in silence for a moment, the sounds of morning slowly trickling in from outside—the chirp of distant birds, the occasional creak of wood as the house settled.

Lysera finally stood and stretched, her voice a little gentler as she said.

"You should get some rest during the day if you can."

"I'll be fine. I'm used to staying up late."

Kana said quickly.

Lysera gave her a knowing look, but again, didn't press further. She looked down at Irielle still curled up around Kana, then sighed.

"I'll make breakfast. Try to stay alive until then."

Kana nodded, watching as Lysera stepped out of the room.

Only when she was gone did Kana finally relax—though not by much. Her body was tired, but her mind was still buzzing, and Irielle's grip hadn't loosened even a little.

She stared at the ceiling again, silently praying that this wouldn't become a regular thing.

She didn't think her sanity could take it.

Thankfully, her condition went unnoticed because of the covers hiding her lower body. She did not know how to explain it to Lysera otherwise.

Kana tried her best not to look behind her where Irielle was sleeping. Her hand was already touching the exposed stomach Irielle was showing her and anymore would be dangerous.

'Let's go and quickly take a bath. The sooner I remove the evidence of what happened, the sooner I would be able to wash away this guilt of what I just did.'

Kana took a quick shower, hoping the cold water would shake off the fogginess in her mind and to wipe away any…evidence of what happened last night. It helped a little. She dried off, dressed, and made her way downstairs, still toweling her hair.

The scent of something warm and savory drifted through the air, and as she stepped into the kitchen, she froze.

Lysera stood by the stove, wearing an apron, her sleeves rolled up, focused intently on the food in front of her. Kana blinked in surprise.

"You're done? Sit down. Breakfast is almost ready."

Lysera said, glancing over.

Kana sat hesitantly at the table.

The sight of Lysera moving efficiently around the kitchen made a strange thought pop into her mind—if she didn't know better, she might've thought Lysera looked like a housewife.

Before she could say anything, Lysera came over, pulled her chair in closer, and set a steaming plate down in front of her.

"Eat."

She said.

Kana looked down at the plate—eggs, toast, and something that smelled like spiced vegetables.

Her stomach growled before she could even lift her fork. Lysera sat across from her, watching quietly as Kana took her first bite.

It was delicious. Simple, but warm and comforting.

"You really didn't have to go this far."

Kana murmured, a little flustered.

"I wanted to. You've got your first day of work soon. Thought you could use a proper meal."

Lysera replied, resting her chin on her hand.

Kana looked away, embarrassed by how happy that made her feel.

"Thanks."

She whispered
