Aban, or Raiden as it is right now, was running to the exit. He ran and he heard sounds from the other side of the cave. He turned around and saw the other two people running with him. One was an average sized girl, she had black hair and light-colored skin, to the right people could be attractive. The other was a man, he looked like he signed up for the wrong job, he had glasses, the left glass was shattered making it look like he was squinting, he had brown hair.
Both of them had dark brown eyes and were wearing the same outfit Aban was wearing. The outfit in question, an orange prospecting armor. The girl seemed to still have her pickaxe on her back. The guy didn't have anything on him that Aban could see.
"Raiden, do you think Lugs going to be alright?"
This was the girl, with a voice fitting the body. Before Aban could say anything, the other guy spoke up.
"It's-s, Lug if there is anyone that could survive it's him. R-right Raiden?"
His speaking seemed frantic, though not impossible to understand. The thing is, Aban didn't know how to correctly respond. It was harder to think because he was getting used to both this body, and how to properly run with one arm. It didn't make it impossible, but he had to balance the weight somehow. So, most of the run he kept shifting weight to his left leg.
Despite that, each stride still felt off. A weird thing he was thankful about was how he was crushed. It allowed him to tie the ripped cloth on his prospector gear around the wound to stop the bleeding. Though the tie was a bit awkward due to running and tying it with one hand.
After a bit of running, he was finally able to answer.
"From what I saw, he's a big man, pretty calm and collected. If anyone can survive it's him. Just..."
"J-just what?"
Aban realized something while speaking. Size would be an issue. If he gets crushed, it would be harder for him to maneuver out of the area. His size makes an unlikely situation to get out of, nigh impossible.
"Just trust in him, I'm sure he will find a way out."
He realized that even if he realized it was hopeless. If the other two were out of hope, then whatever this challenge this is, would be harder. He had to fan the flames of hope even if it was obviously false.
Even if it was frantic, the man still calmed down a little hearing it from him. Whoever Raiden seemed to have been held in high regard by him. The girl didn't seem phased, she seemed to be thinking about something.
"If I were to ask, I kind of forgot why the cave seemed to be collapsing."
The girl responded.
"Did you hit your head? Well let's just get back to camp and I'll tell you."
They continued running for what felt like a few minutes. The cave seemed to be mostly stabilized by now. Whatever it was that was collapsing the cave wasn't very strong. Just strong enough to collapse a section of the cave.
Even further, the end of the tunnel was the exit. When they crossed the exit, they were in a big cave. They were near the top of it; there were multiple tunnels sprawling from this cave. Both him, and the other guy caught their breath, while the girl went to the edge of the rocky platform they were on.
"R-Raiden *huff* how badly did you hit your head?"
"I don't remember much."
Aban was scratching his head. Both of them were sitting at the edge of the cave waiting for the girl to give the ok.
"H-how mu-"
The girl interrupted him. Her voice was full of panic, hand covering her mouth.
"Guy's you should come here."
Both Aban and the other guy got up. They went to search for what got her so riled up. What they saw scared both of them.
"Raiden, Den, I think we are the last miners left in these caves."
