Chapter 242: The Star-Busting "Little" Handgun
Two and a half months later.
Even after so much time, the stench that permeated the universe still lingered. It would take many years for it to completely dissipate. As for the location of the Giant Stinky Durian Star, even after a hundred million years, it would still be a dead land where not even a blade of grass would grow.
"The smell is gone, but I can still remember it," Saber Alter said, puzzled. Is this ingredient poisonous?
"You can't smell it anymore, but that memory is probably branded onto your brain now," Kenji shrugged. "Do you want me to find 'Sister Makes-a-Move' to help you erase that memory?"
Memories can bring a Memokeeper different experiences. Would a memory that carries the scent of the Giant Stinky Durian make a Memokeeper faint?
"No thanks. But who is 'Sister Makes-a-Move'?" Saber Alter shook her head. No one liked others messing with their memories.
"'Sister Makes-a-Move' is also called 'Jail Goose'. She's an interesting person."
Kenji didn't explain further. After all, "Sister Makes-a-Move" was also an expert at starting team fights. Black Swan had pretty much lost her original name by now. Omphalos had blocked Polka Kakamond, but Jail Goose had just led the Astral Express and crashed right in.
[I Love Frying Pans]: "@Star Forger Kenji, thank you for the lamb you sent. I don't have anything good here for now, so here's a Weather Control Machine I casually invented for you to play with."
Wolffy had originally intended to use this on Pleasant Goat and the others, but now that he had lamb to eat, he just sent it directly to Kenji. As for this chat group, he had no interest in analyzing it. As long as he had lamb to eat, it was fine. His instincts told him it posed no threat to him.
[Star Forger]: "I've received it. If you want more lamb in the future, I have plenty."
This invention couldn't compare to the Weather Cube; it was a low-spec version.
[Dian Mei Ruan]: "For a wolf to be able to invent such a thing... the Buli people, in comparison, are primitive organisms."
In the universe, controlling a planet's weather was a costly affair, requiring the joint participation of many instruments and equipment to achieve.
[Star Forger]: "Don't compare the Buli people to Wolffy. In the field of invention, even the Genius Club you're a part of, Ruan Mei, isn't qualified to carry his shoes."
He wasn't exaggerating. Wolffy's talent for invention was absolutely on a heaven-defying level. The only thing that could probably interest Wolffy was lamb. Upgrading an aircraft carrier with his bare hands, without any materials... who in the Star Rail universe could do that?
[I Love Frying Pans]: "This great king is just the smartest on Green Green Grassland. I'm not that amazing."
If you look at all the heavens, I'm probably nothing.
I'm just an inventor. I don't have that much power.
[Shadowkhan Queen]: "If you can make such amazing things, then why can't you eat those sheep, Wolffy?"
Jade asked a very heart-piercing, soul-searching question. Kenji had sent one sheep, and Wolffy had been that happy.
[I Love Frying Pans]: "..."
Wolffy was silent. I don't know either. Even if I throw Pleasant Goat and the others into the pot, they still manage to escape. Before coming to Green Green Grassland, he had eaten sheep before.
Kenji's mouth twitched. Jade, you really know how to ask questions.
Why couldn't he eat the sheep? Because this was a comedy cartoon. Wolffy failing to catch the sheep was the source of the cartoon's joy. What kind of decent person boils a sheep without slaughtering it first, just throwing it into the pot with all its wool?
If analyzed from a metaphysical perspective, on that piece of land, Green Green Grassland, it was a fundamental law of the universe that Wolffy could not catch the sheep. Although his various inventions were magical, they could not successfully catch a sheep.
[God's Tongue]: "That's probably what you call protagonist plot armor."
[Galactic Baseballer]: "I get it! Wolffy has the ability to catch the sheep, but there's a mysterious force that is preventing him from doing so."
Hoshi felt that she herself was not that abstract, but there was a force that was driving her to become abstract. Yes, that's it. She was originally supposed to take the cool and aloof route.
[I Love Frying Pans]: "Is that so? This great king has an idea now."
Kenji's expression became strange. Wolffy isn't planning on building that Bye-Bye Machine, is he? If he built that, all of Wolffy's previous inventions would pale in comparison.
[Stank]: "So, what's the scientific principle behind this invention?"
No matter how awesome an invention was, it had to have some scientific basis, right?
[Star Forger]: "The power of 'I Reckon'... what principle do you need?"
Perhaps some of his inventions had some scientific principles, but most of them didn't. They could only be explained by "I reckon..."
[Star Forger]: "If I give you a small wooden boat, can you create an aircraft carrier from nothing?"
Do you understand the value of Wolf King Heavy Industries?
[Stank]: "Alright, I can't."
Tony was convinced. Creating an aircraft carrier from bare hands? You really couldn't judge a cartoon character by common sense.
Wolffy scratched his head. Upgrading an aircraft carrier with my bare hands... isn't that a basic operation? It's not like that in other worlds?
"A handgun...?"
Kenji looked at the giant handgun floating in space, completely baffled. What was Shimabukuro thinking, to have something like a firearm appear in the gourmet universe? Had he really just started letting himself go at the end, letting his imagination run wild?
"I don't know. It's the first time I've ever seen such a massive handgun," Atashino said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"It doesn't look like it's for eating, but it's so big, I don't know if it can be used."
Kenji left the carriage, transformed into a starry sky dragon, and grabbed the black handgun with one hand.
This feel... it was so real.
BANG!
After pulling the trigger, a bullet the size of a meteorite shot out of the barrel.
Holy crap! It can actually shoot bullets!
Kenji's face showed his emotion. This thing was a little interesting.
BOOM!
The high-speed bullet, carrying immense kinetic energy, directly shot and blew up a star, which exploded into fireworks in the universe.
A handgun that could destroy a star... thermal weapons had really made a name for themselves. And this wasn't even the true power of this handgun. Destroying a star was just its basic operation.
Kenji threw the "little" handgun into his dimensional space. This little toy... if he took it out to show off when he was bored, it would definitely be a showstopper.
"Is there any difference?"
After Kenji returned, Atashino immediately asked. She had seen the scene of the star being destroyed.
"No difference. It has the smell of gunpowder and recoil, just like a normal firearm, but its volume is exceptionally large," Kenji said. It was just a normal handgun, made bigger.
Another unsolved mystery of the universe.
"Streaming Light, what is the ultimate ingredient of the Final Land?"
[At the core of that place. After I went back, I just lay at home. I never participated in those things.]
Streaming Light shook her head. In the Final Land, the various Gourmet Cell Demons and Gourmet Gods were not in harmony. They often broke out in battle, and she didn't want to get involved.
[The so-called ultimate ingredient is the origin of all cosmic cuisine. It is the undisputed God of Ingredients.]
Kenji pondered. In his view, the ultimate ingredient was probably something like the Earth's Full Course Menu. GOD was a frog, so perhaps the ultimate ingredient also had a strange form. He just hoped it wasn't too weird.
