Andrian, wrapped inside a sack, was carried by Mr. A into a carriage. The man who had been following them all along gave an order to the coachman to head to the seaport. The coachman simply nodded in obedience.
At the seaport, Mr. A carried Andrian, still inside the sack, onto a ship. There, a large, muscular man with black hair and black eyes welcomed them.
"Is this the one who kept you waiting thirteen years in the City Council?" he asked.
Mr. A nodded silently. "Long time no see, Kosper."
In the lower deck of the ship, Mr. A threw the sack containing Andrian into a dark prison cell.
"We must return to the K.M. organization headquarters immediately. The VoC organization is attacking!" Kosper said in a serious tone.
Mr. A frowned, slightly surprised. "VoC dares to attack us?"
Kosper clenched his jaw in anger. "They already have four members in Sequence 5 of the Path of Chaos Rulers."
Mr. A replied grimly, "Four members in Sequence 5? How is that possible?"
Kosper tightened his fists. "They must have been helped by a mysterious man who infiltrated our organization… and killed one of K.M.'s high-ranking members."
Mr. A fell silent for a moment, then said, "Kosper, quickly consume your Sequence 8 potion. You must advance to Sequence 7 — Soul Pillager."
"Yes, Sir," Kosper replied firmly. "I will not disappoint you."
Mr. A then sat down on a chair, casually sipping his coffee. But suddenly, the loud screams of his men could be heard from outside.
"Enemy!!"
Mr. A put down his cup, stood up, and opened the door to his resting quarters.
A man in a black mask, dressed entirely in black, was ruthlessly slaughtering Mr. A's men one by one without mercy.
"An intruder!" one of the subordinates shouted before collapsing.
The intruder glared sharply at Mr. A, grinning wickedly. "Finally… the main prey appears," he muttered, unaware of who he was truly facing.
Mr. A returned the glare coldly.
Without hesitation, the intruder attacked. Blood spurted from Mr. A's neck, and the intruder laughed in satisfaction. But in an instant… the intruder's head was severed from his body, falling to the ship's floor.
"Sequence 9, Lowly Robber… eliminated," Mr. A muttered calmly.
"Hah, just Sequence 9 yet already so arrogant," Kosper approached while smiling. "I didn't even have to intervene."
Mr. A sighed, his eyes sharp. "Which organization did this intruder come from?"
Kosper shrugged. "No idea."
"It's not easy to reach Sequence 9. Only strong individuals can handle the power of any Path without going insane or turning into a monster," Mr. A murmured. "Most likely, he came from VoC."
At 3:20 in the afternoon, Kosper knocked on Mr. A's door.
"We've arrived in Simran, Sir," he reported with a grin.
Mr. A stepped out, gazing at the bustling scene filled with merchants.
"It's been a long time since I saw this market," he muttered.
They disembarked from the ship, with Kosper carrying a rectangular wooden box.
"Jack Ford's subordinates are already waiting with a carriage. We'll be escorted straight to K.M.'s headquarters," Kosper explained.
Mr. A snorted lightly. "Thirteen years… and that man is still arrogant, only sending his lackeys."
They arrived at a large, dark warehouse. Kosper smashed the wooden box and then picked up the sack containing Andrian again.
Outside the warehouse, a man waited by the carriage, staring at them with anger. He recognized the bulky Kosper and the skinny man beside him.
"If it weren't for Jack Ford ordering me, as someone at Sequence 7, I wouldn't be bothered transporting you," the man said sarcastically.
Mr. A glared coldly. "Just a subordinate, yet acting like a superior."
Jack Ford's lackey sneered, "Tch… still swarming with pests like you in Simran."
Kosper scolded, "Watch your mouth."
But the man pulled out a small knife from his pocket. "I won't kill you. Just think of this as a warning, so you'll learn manners next time."
He moved swiftly to attack Mr. A. However, dark shadows emerged around Mr. A, easily deflecting the attack.
Jack Ford's subordinate froze, his body trembling. In his heart, he muttered,
"Shadow abilities… only possessed by those at Sequence 5 and above…"
He immediately bowed deeply. "Forgive me, Sir… I… I didn't know you were a high-ranking member…"
Mr. A said nothing. The black shadow transformed into ropes, binding Jack Ford's subordinate to a tree near the carriage.
"Consider this your warning," Mr. A said coldly.
Kosper opened the carriage door and tossed in the sack containing Andrian, then mounted his horse.
"Let's go, Sir… onward to K.M.'s headquarters."
