Chapter 165: The Extermination Order
"How could I possibly do such a thing?! Slander, this is complete slander!"
"If you don't bring me some delicious fries to make up for this, we're over, Big Guy. We're over."
Raven refused to admit it. He stiffened his neck and demanded that the Master of Mankind, who was in the middle of bloody battle, admit his mistake and prepare gifts as an apology.
With Gai Jiuyou, the Master of this era, and the Great Saint Body of the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, the Empress, and the countless plans left by the Peerless Lord of Mankind, this darkest turmoil didn't cause much harm, even though it was started by the most Supremes beings from the forbidden zones in history.
It merely shattered the Beidou Star Domain. Instead, the various forbidden zones faced total disaster.
With Raven's help as super support, Gai Jiuyou had endless power. He wielded various Emperor Arts with ease, as if they cost nothing.
Combined with the Master of Mankind and Valdo, who had mastered the basic laws, the Supremes of the forbidden zones were no match at all. They were crushed systematically and destroyed one by one.
As Gai Jiuyou stopped the darkest turmoil, a notification reached the Emperor that the fate node change had exceeded thirty per cent.
The Master of Mankind gained endless power, various advanced technological knowledge, and cultivation methods that could harness the power of the Immaterium.
At this moment, the battlefield of eternal nothingness also saw a change.
The aura of that Supreme, who stood upon a great cauldron, suddenly transformed. At this level, improving strength was meaningless. Past, present, and future were a single flow to them. Only when their own fate line produced new changes could there be new possibilities.
The arrival of Raven and His companions promoted the changes in the Covering the Sky Universe. This indirectly altered this Supreme, who had great connection with that realm.
At the same time, this change also meant the appearance of another Supreme.
On the fiercely battling field, a woman's figure slowly walked forward. She was dressed in white as snow and looked extraordinary.
Originally, both sides had been fighting back and forth, unable to decide who was winning. But now, the opponent gained a new blessing and a new ally. The balance of power instantly shifted.
The Chaos Four Gods suffered a great loss. They were beaten and bloodied, with cracks appearing in their domains located in the Warp.
The Contamination Source allied with them was forced to retreat. The great battle in the void came to an end.
The Master of Mankind and Raven sensed it immediately. Their awareness crossed the vast stars, witnessing the retreating Chaos Gods and their allies in disarray.
"The war concludes," the Emperor declared with finality. "It is time for Our departure."
"Are we continuing to other universes?" Raven asked.
"No!" The Master of Mankind shook His head. "We shall return first. Our current technology reserves are enough for the Human Empire to stride toward the countless universes."
The Chaos Four Gods had allied with the Contamination Source of the void. The Emperor worried that the enemy would destroy the time anchor points established by Raven. This would cause the flow of time to shift.
He would not suffer His return to find that the entire universe had changed beyond recognition.
His will was to return quickly. He would not traverse time again during this period. Instead, He would remain within His own realm, accelerating at all costs to elevate the Human Empire to heights never seen before.
After saying goodbye to Gai Jiuyou and the others, and sharing knowledge from other universes with Gai Jiuyou, Ye Fan, and their companions, Raven opened the space-time tunnel. He departed with the Master of Mankind and Valdo.
The four Supremes witnessed their departure and looked forward to their next arrival.
Upon returning to the Warhammer Universe, the Master of Mankind immediately became consumed with nonstop work.
This journey made Him realize that even with Raven's aid, He could not rest easy. The Chaos Four Gods could also seek allies.
He had to quickly push the Human Empire toward the countless universes to enhance its survival capabilities.
Not long after their return, the fleet arrived at the border of the Randan Empire.
"Blood for blood, tooth for tooth," the Emperor commanded with absolute authority. "Execute the extermination order upon all worlds where the Randan exist. We must completely erase them from this universe."
Gellan Star System
This star system was nothing special in the vast galaxy. It was merely one unremarkable point among the brilliant stars, but after this day, it would be given special meaning by humanity. The end of the Randan race would begin from this system.
Tens of thousands of warships engaged in battle in the void. Dense laser fire and shells filled the entire space, and the explosions that occasionally erupted were like newborn stars, lighting up the dark void.
The Randan race had gathered a large number of forces in this fortress star system. They intended to stop the invasion of the Human Empire.
Under the will of the Master of Mankind, expeditionary fleets arrived in this system. They launched a massive war of extermination against the Randan race, with the second-generation warships leading the charge.
The scale of the battle was enormous. For both the Human Empire and the Randan, it was a war that gambled the fate of their races. The losing side would not only lose the right to fight for control in the galaxy. They would also very likely be completely erased, leaving no trace in history.
Raven was casually perched on the Emperor's shoulder, looking out at the distant battlefield through the viewport.
The Randan race, which had been so strong in the predetermined fate line that the Master of Mankind would have needed the power of the Void Dragon to defeat them, was now completely helpless against the Human Empire's second-generation warships. They had become sheep for the slaughter.
Second-generation warships could enter and exit the Immaterium anywhere. They could freely teleport and travel within a star system's gravitational range, ignoring the rule that vessels must enter and exit the Warp at Mandeville Points, or risk destruction.
They could appear in any location the enemy couldn't imagine and unleash devastating attacks to destroy all foes.
Several Nova shells, over fifty meters long and approaching the speed of light, were fired. They traced beautiful, deadly arcs in the void and directly hit a Randan warship, their terrifying kinetic energy overloading its shields.
The following macro-cannon shells easily penetrated the Randan vessel's hull. The energy core was destroyed, triggering a catastrophic explosion. Horrific fire swept outward, rushing in all directions, and countless xenos were flung into space, like spores ejected from a dying organism.
After the second-generation warships entered the Human Empire's naval operational sequence, the Randan race's advantage vanished. They were completely outmatched by humanity's forces.
The Randan race fought stubbornly. To reverse their disadvantage, they repeatedly attempted boarding actions and destroyed several Human Empire warships. However, the gap in strength between the two sides was simply too great.
Ultimately, the Randan race suffered a crushing defeat. They fled in panic, surrendering the Gellan Star System to humanity.
"No signs of human life have been detected in the Gellan Star System. It is highly likely that the population has been completely massacred by the Randan colonists," the Information Supervisor reported the situation to the Emperor.
"Big Guy, there are no humans left. Save yourself some trouble, just issue the extermination order directly," Raven suggested, lazily lying on the Emperor's shoulder.
The worlds in the Gellan Star System contained no humans, only Randan. There was no longer any need for ground operations. It would be simpler to directly issue the extermination order.
The Emperor nodded grimly. "You speak truly. Execute it thus."
"Transmit the order to all warships: release virus bombs upon those life-bearing worlds to completely purge those xenos."
The extermination order was quickly relayed to the supervisors of various departments. They hastily arranged for their subordinates to begin preparations. They surveyed the bombardment zones and calculated the precise yield required to blanket each world entirely.
The Mechanicus, along with their servitors and laborers, replaced the warheads of the shells with airburst variants carrying the Life Eater virus.
The Life Eater virus was an instrument of absolute terror. It was capable of destroying all biological forms within mere hours and was typically reserved for the complete extermination of xenos.
Once everything was prepared, the warships executing the extermination order entered orbit around the designated planets.
The Randan on the surface observed the Emperor's warships and activated their ground defenses. Dense artillery fire and laser beams shot skyward, striking the vessels' void shields and creating ripples like water waves.
These xenos showed their toughness and courage in this manner. To protect their homeland, they would resist to their final breath.
Unfortunately, courage and toughness could not change their fate.
As the order to commence fire was given, the Master of Mankind's warships in low orbit began orbital bombardment.
Shell after shell carrying the Life Eater virus was launched. Soon, the first wave was intercepted by the defense system and exploded within the atmosphere.
The deadly virus spread into the air. It traveled with atmospheric currents through forests, plains, deserts, and mountains, and even the ocean depths were not spared.
Those Randan who had hidden in great cities, hoping to protect themselves with the settlements' defenses, stumbled to the ground and vomited black blood after breathing mere traces of virus-laden air.
The viral weapon easily penetrated their protective armor and clothing. The molecular structure of this biological agent included deadly corrosive factors. It was capable of dissolving exposed flesh and getting through the weakest points in protective suits.
The molecular structure of living organisms was corroded by the virus. It rapidly stripped away connections between cells, and victims dissolved into rotting pools of flesh within seconds.
Even those Randan who had fled into fortresses did not escape. They reached what they believed were safe areas and sealed the gates, only to discover that the deadly contagion had already arrived.
The extermination was complete. Swift. Final.
And Raven watched it all with the casual interest of someone observing a particularly effective pest control operation.
