Jihoon soon found out that being under Mr. Jang, the lessons would be vastly different.
The first few weeks, the child was taught about the human body. The organs, tissues and system were mastered by Jihoon which seemed to please the older man greatly.
Things took a different turn.
Mr. Jang twirled a small knife in front of him. "Do you know what this is?"
Jihoon nodded.
"Do you know what it does?"
The boy straightened in his chair. "It hurts people. It kills—"
"No," Mr. Jang said, a wicked gleam in his eyes. "It's a weapon that gives power."
He placed it in Jihoon's hand. "It makes you stronger and untouchable."
The child stared at it. It was slightly heavy, the blade glinting softly. "Untouchable...? No one will be able to hurt... me again?"
"Yes," the older replied. "It will keep you safe."
He place a hand on the boy's shoulders. "I can teach you how to protect yourself from bad people. Do you want that?"
