Chapter 138 - Chapter 136: I Admit I Gambled.

"The strong never make their own choices... They'll take it all..." Tom pondered after listening to Levid's analysis.

Suddenly, the door to the Room of Requirement opened.

Annie walked in.

She glanced at the two people in the room and was about to say something when her eyes fell on Tom the Cat, who was brewing a potion for herself...

Annie blinked, then rubbed her eyes.

She frowned and shook her head, then stepped back, closing the door again.

A moment later, the door opened again...

Annie looked back at Tom the Cat, who was stirring the cauldron.

Then, she stepped back again...

After repeating this three times, Tom asked, "Are you performing some strange ritual?"

"No... I don't know... I think I'm hallucinating.

I just saw a cat brewing potion..." Annie looked again at Tom the Cat, who was concentrating on stirring the cauldron.

"Well, I guess I'm sick, and now this hallucination persists..."

"It's not a hallucination, Annie..." Levid said helplessly.

In truth, if Annie hadn't spent nearly all her free time over the past three months searching for the specific location of the magical power, she would have noticed Tom's change long ago.

It wouldn't have taken her until today to see Tom brewing the potion.

However, her presence in the Room of Requirement today proved she had found it...otherwise, her expression wouldn't have been so relaxed.

A moment later, Annie finally confirmed that what she had seen wasn't an illusion, but a real scene.

Then, she began to watch Tom work, forgetting even her own purpose.

After pouring the brewed potion into a bottle, Tom stood up, holding the bottle, and ran to Levid.

Levid, who was brewing another potion, touched the bottle with his wand.

The potion in Tom's hand then cooled completely.

Seeing this, Tom happily tilted his head back and gulped it down.

Then, he ran back to his nest, sprawled out, and fell into a deep sleep.

Anne witnessed the entire incident... She looked at Tom, who was calmly reading a book beside her.

"Tom... this... do you think that's right?"

Tom shrugged.

"A lot of outrageous things, once you put them in Wade's shoes, you'll find... they're not so outrageous after all..."

He was completely accustomed to the strange things around Wade...and, having grown up in an orphanage and relatively new to the magical world, his reaction to these strange, even nonsensical things wasn't as strong as Anne, who had grown up in a wizarding family...

"Okay... as long as you're happy..." Anne now understood Grindelwald's intense interest in these two guys...

"So, you suddenly came here. Is there something going on?

Or do you want to practice magic with us?"

Tom asked.

"Ah! Yes!

I almost forgot!"

Anne only then remembered why she had come here to see these two people.

"I do have something important to talk to you two about!"

Wade and Tom exchanged a glance, then looked at Anne quietly, waiting for her next words.

"About that magical power! Grindelwald didn't take all of it!

There's still a lot of it, hidden somewhere Grindelwald hasn't discovered!"

Anne said excitedly.

Levitra and Tom, in perfect unison, expressed their interest and excitement.

"You mean... there's still a lot of magical power that Grindelwald hasn't discovered? But how is that possible?

There's clearly very little left in the Forbidden Forest!"

Levitra asked eagerly.

"I've been investigating this lately!"

Annie said.

"You think there's no hope, but... I just can't give up.

Then it suddenly occurred to me: if this magical power is hidden in the ruins of the Forbidden Forest, then why isn't it also in Hogwarts Castle, the largest building near the Forbidden Forest?

Maybe Professor Morgana left a part of it in the castle?"

"So, you started your investigation in Hogwarts Castle?"

Lewes asked.

"If you had this idea, why didn't you tell us before?"

"I... I was afraid you'd laugh at me," Annie said.

"What if it's not in the castle?

Wouldn't that be a waste of effort?"

"Well... ahem, I didn't mean to laugh at you," Tom said.

"Since you came to us, that proves it's indeed in the castle, and you've found it?"

Lewes asked.

"Yes!"

Annie said excitedly.

"I looked everywhere but couldn't find it.

Just when I was about to give up, I saw Peeves throw a dung bomb at the crowd and then run through the wall... Then it suddenly occurred to me... these ghosts wandering around the castle all day must know a lot of things we don't know!"

"Oh!

That's right! We can ask the ghosts! Why didn't I think of that?

Annie, you're amazing!

You even thought of that!"

Lewes said with admiration.

"That's a great idea, Annie!

You're so smart!"

Tom also began to tacitly persuade Annie to do something magical.

Annie felt a little flattered by the praise.

In truth, she had racked her brains to find that location, and the sense of accomplishment was already overwhelming.

And then, with the compliments of the two boys Grindelwald admired, she practically felt like she was floating off into space...

"Then I talked to many ghosts.

I didn't dare ask directly where the magical power was, so I asked if there were any hidden rooms or secret passages in the castle..." Anne said, pulling a large piece of parchment from her pocket and unfolding it.

Levid and Tom gathered around and saw that the parchment contained a plan of Hogwarts Castle.

Furthermore, the words "secret passages" were marked on the walls of many corridors.

Even the location of the Room of Requirement was marked.

This showed that Anne had truly learned a lot over the past few months.

Even if she hadn't found the location of that magical power, she had discovered many useful secret passages and rooms in the castle.

Levid gazed at the map with delight.

His knowledge of the locations of most of Hogwarts' secret passages came largely from his memories before the time travel.

He'd long wanted a map like this, but unfortunately, the Marauder's Map hadn't appeared yet...

And now... Annie had placed a map showing all sorts of secret passages right in front of him!

It was like a fortuitous discovery yielding a bright future...

Thinking of this, Levvid's eyes strayed from the map to the girls' bathroom on the third floor.

However, there was no hidden passage marked there.

Levvid didn't find it strange.

Although it was the entrance to Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets, it required passing through a long pipe.

Male ghosts generally avoided places like the girls' bathroom.

And those female ghosts who occasionally passed by mostly dismissed it as just a filthy sewer pipe and didn't bother to examine it closely, so it was understandable that they didn't know what secrets lay beneath.

Thinking about it... how did fifth-year Tom discover this?

Could it be that... this guy actually had a habit of visiting the girls' bathroom?

Levvid couldn't help but glance at Tom at this thought.

Tom was baffled by Levvid's strange gaze.

"Right here!"

Anne pointed to a hollow space beneath the castle.

"The Bloody Baron said this was once a large secret chamber.

A powerful power was once stored there, and a battle took place there... I think that's exactly where Professor Morgana first gathered that power, as described in the manuscript!"

"Then how do you know it's still hidden there?

What if the power is gone?

Taken away by those who fought?

That wouldn't be surprising!"

Levid asked.

Anne said, "I don't know, but now that we know such a place exists, would you be willing not to go and see it?"

All of this was actually from the manuscript Anne had retrieved from Grindelwald, so she couldn't tell Levid the truth directly.

Of course, Levid had modified this part of the manuscript, leading Grindelwald to believe that after Morgana's death, the power had been resealed by the then-headmaster and professors...

Of course, Anne didn't know this; she still believed it was still there.

"Okay... let's find a time to go inside and take a look."

Li Weide smiled and said, "Annie, when do you plan to take action?"

"I'll go and explore it again!

You guys should get ready first! I'll come find you after I figure it out completely."

After Annie said this, she packed up the map and left the Room of Requirement.

Looking at the closed door of the Room of Requirement, Tom couldn't help but ask, "What does she mean?

Why did she tell us this place?

Isn't his behavior completely out of your plan?"

"Plans aren't always set in stone, Tom..." Levid smiled, "It's better to say that the current development of events is in our favor."

"Beneficial?"

Tom asked, "Didn't your plan envision that after Anne discovered the location, she would tell Grindelwald the location and lure him in?

Why is she telling us now?"

Tom suddenly widened his eyes and said, "Could it be that... she still wants to covet the magical power inside?

She plans to join forces with us and then swallow up the magical power inside without telling Grindelwald?"

Levid shook his head and said, "If she discovered the location and kept it for herself without telling Grindelwald, Grindelwald could easily discover what she had done through her growing strength.

So, she doesn't have the courage, so... the biggest possibility is that the decision to tell us the location was made by Grindelwald."

"Why did Grindelwald tell us this?"

Tom asked puzzled.

"I don't know... But one thing I can confirm is that he hopes that we can be there when the action is launched."

Levid smiled, "And having a suitable reason to be there at that time happens to be very important to me.

So, I would say that the development of the situation is in our favor."

"Are you really not afraid that Grindelwald will kill you?"

Tom has begun to panic.

"Where do you get your confidence from?"

"I admit that there is an element of gambling in my mind, Tom... But, fortune and wealth are sought in danger..." Levid smiled.

Seeing him like this, Tom sighed.

How could this guy Levid take such a risk?

He must have made all the necessary preparations...

But, what is worrying is, among those perfect preparations he has made... does he include himself?
