Chapter 313 - Chapter 313: Ultra Necrozma! My Power… Has Finally Returned!!

It was a humanoid Pokémon towering over five meters tall—like a giant out of Norse mythology. Its entire body was a base of black-green, with wing-like structures flowing behind it like ribbons, and two enormous, razor-sharp claws.

An overwhelming, majestic pressure weighed down upon the world itself—undeniable, absolute, and impossible to challenge.

Zygarde Complete Form!

"Wow~ it changed form again!"

From afar, Green's eyes lit up instantly. This new robot-like form was far cooler than the serpent one from before—by a huge margin.

"So, this is the one Lucas mentioned, the 100% Complete Forme. It really is completely different."

Giovanni's sharp eyes flickered with interest as he observed Zygarde's complete form.

To tell the truth, he was extremely intrigued. After all, Zygarde was a Dragon/Ground-type legendary Pokémon; for someone who specialized in Ground-types, Zygarde's allure was no small temptation.

Unfortunately, Zygarde was not the kind of legendary one could obtain easily.

"Just the design alone… this completely blows the giant snake form out of the water."

Green's beautiful eyes sparkled. This giant, warrior-like form radiated an overwhelming presence.

"ROOAAAAR!!"

Sensing the oppressive aura of Zygarde's complete form, Primal Groudon roared furiously, gathering an intense white light in its mouth.

Solar Beam!

A massive beam of white light shot through the air, fiercely tearing toward Zygarde.

"I am not what I used to be."

Zygarde's calm telepathic voice echoed. Facing the incoming Solar Beam, it merely lifted one enormous claw.

A radiant green glow surged outward, instantly enveloping its entire body.

Thousand Arrows!

Countless green arrows of light flooded the sky and rained down toward Primal Groudon.

Solar Beam and Thousand Arrows clashed violently in midair, but Thousand Arrows' area was far larger.

Large numbers of green arrows bypassed the Solar Beam, while the beam itself was held back by the endless barrage of arrows.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Thousand Arrows continued to rain down relentlessly upon Primal Groudon and the land around it. The entire area was practically carpet-bombed.

Primal Groudon roared in rage as the barrage struck it again and again—clearly furious.

"The increase in strength is enormous."

Reshiram gave its judgment as it watched the scene.

Both in quantity and in power, these Thousand Arrows were on an entirely different level than the ones used by Blue Core Zygarde's at its 50% forme. Stronger by far.

"Of course. This is the true complete form."

Lucas laughed lightly. Zygarde's complete form was the state reached when all its cells converged into one.

That serpent form from before was merely 50% of its cells gathered.

In simple terms, Zygarde Complete Forme was equivalent to combining two 50% Zygardes—but its actual combat power was even greater.

"Let me show you!"

Zygarde Complete roared, releasing another burst of brilliant green.

At the same time, the massive maw on its chest opened, gathering pure, concentrated green energy.

It would show Primal Groudon what pain really was! How dare this brute bully their cores earlier?!

"My real power!"

Zygarde lunged forward at extreme speed. A dazzling, breathtaking green beam of energy shot out from the mouth on its chest.

"ROOOAR!"

Primal Groudon roared, its body burning with intense, fiery red energy as it prepared to counterattack with Precipice Blades.

But it was too slow.

Zygarde Complete Forme had already reached the air above it. Under Zygarde's control, the green beam slashed through the air in the shape of a lightning-fast "Z".

Core Enforcer!

BOOM!

A massive, glowing Z-shaped symbol burned itself deep into the ground, with Primal Groudon trapped right at its center.

With a deafening explosion, Core Enforcer detonated violently. A towering shockwave erupted skyward, while blinding green light filled every inch of vision.

Primal Groudon's howl of agony echoed through the battlefield as its entire massive body was swallowed by the explosion.

"What terrifying power… utterly incomparable to before."

Lucas's eyes shimmered as he admired the beautiful yet deadly ripples of energy. This Core Enforcer was far stronger than the red-core version used earlier.

BOOM—

Heavy footsteps echoed as Primal Groudon stepped out of the explosion. Its savage eyes glowed intensely.

A layer of faint red energy shimmered over its body—it had actually endured Zygarde's full-powered Core Punisher!

Primal Groudon slammed a huge claw into the earth.

RUMBLE—

The ground quaked violently. Deep cracks split open, molten red magma pouring out from the fissures.

Precipice Blades!

Blades of molten rock erupted upward and lunged toward Zygarde.

"Still refusing to accept reality?"

Zygarde gazed down at the raging Primal Groudon. Though it could easily ascend higher to evade the attack, it chose not to.

Its massive body slammed down, both claws raised high before crashing into the ground, releasing a radiant, majestic green glow.

"Land's Wrath!" Lucas instantly recognized the move.

The earth trembled violently as pure green energy surged from below, flooding across the battlefield toward Primal Groudon.

Precipice Blades vs. Land's Wrath!

Magma blades clashed violently with Zygarde's earth-born green energy.

BOOM!

The catastrophic collision sent destructive waves in all directions. The ground cracked apart, and the sky itself seemed split between red and green light.

"It didn't overpower Primal Groudon?"

Watching the equal exchange of power, Reshiram was genuinely surprised.

By logic, Zygarde should be stronger.

Yet Land's Wrath wasn't suppressing Precipice Blades.

"Zygarde's greatest strength is its incredible endurance. Its offense isn't as extreme as people imagine."

Lucas, however, wasn't surprised. In fact, he was impressed that Zygarde was able to hold Primal Groudon back using only Land's Wrath.

In game terms, Zygarde's offensive stats weren't even above 100…

Reality wasn't exactly the same, but the idea still applied—Zygarde simply wasn't an all-out attacker.

Its specialty was endurance—with an HP stat equivalent of 216.

Honestly…

Even if Zygarde just stood there and let someone whack it for half a day, it might not even react. It could probably even politely ask:

"Are you tired? Take a break. You can continue the massage later."

Especially this reality's Zygarde—its offense was already far better than expected. Truly a legendary Pokémon with no real weaknesses.

"Lucas."

Suddenly, a telepathic voice echoed in Lucas's mind.

"Hm? What is it, Necrozma?"

Lucas looked toward Dawn Wing Necrozma and Shiny Genesect, still battling Primal Kyogre and Ice Rider Calyrex.

They were at a slight disadvantage, but nothing too serious.

Why contact him now?

"I just absorbed a large amount of light."

Necrozma's deep telepathic voice rumbled again.

Lucas raised an eyebrow—he already had a guess.

"This guy never stopped absorbing light. It can go even further now."

Lunala's annoyed voice chimed in as well. Because it was fused with Necrozma right now, it too could feel the immense light energy swelling within them.

"How much more light do you need?" Lucas asked, excitement rising.

"If I can absorb all the light here, it will be enough."

"Then begin!"

Lucas didn't hesitate. Ultra Necrozma was within reach!

"Wait—Necrozma, if you change your form again, will you still be able to release Lunala afterward?"

Lucas suddenly remembered this important point.

In the game storyline, defeating Ultra Necrozma would release the absorbed Solgaleo or Lunala.

But who knew if that applied here?

Lunala had been with him for quite some time now, he had grown attached. He didn't want Lunala to be lost forever to Necrozma.

Ultra form could always be reached given enough time, but Lunala was irreplaceable.

"Human… so you do have a conscience."

Lunala sounded genuinely surprised, then pleased.

This human still had a heart—he remembered to care about it. Not bad at all.

"I can." Necrozma answered clearly.

"Then begin!"

Dawn Wings Necrozma unleashed a pulse of Moongeist Beam, forcing back Ice Rider Calyrex, then flew high into the sky.

Its wings spread wide as it absorbed the surrounding light at full power.

Darkness—endless darkness.

In an instant, the world was engulfed. Every legendary Pokémon ceased movement.

The abrupt, unnatural darkness was too strange to ignore.

Two seconds later, with Primal Groudon's roar, Desolate Land activated again, sunlight blasting the battlefield back into brightness.

"What was that just now?"

Archer and the restrained Lysandre were stunned.

"Necrozma… it's absorbing the light, and…"

Marnie's clear eyes widened as she stared at the sky.

Necrozma, floating in the heavy rain created by Primordial Sea, was glowing with brilliant gold.

Yes—golden light.

"Ultra Necrozma… I didn't expect it to arrive this quickly."

Lucas looked up, lips curling into a smile.

Necrozma required an enormous amount of light to reach Ultra form. Even with Lunala fused, it normally took a long time.

He often let Necrozma sunbathe to speed things up, but it would still take ages.

Who would've thought Primal Groudon's Desolate Land would actually help?

The golden radiance grew brighter, while Necrozma's expanding silhouette could be seen within.

The overwhelming pressure intensified—so much that even Primal Kyogre and Ice Rider Calyrex trembled uneasily, their red eyes flickering.

"roooOOOOAAAAR—"

A deep, resonant cry tore through the sky. The blinding gold faded, revealing a newly-born, colossal dragon-shaped Pokémon.

Unlike Dawn Wing form, this figure, nearly eight meters tall, was wrapped in a veil of soft golden light that made it hard to see clearly.

Its body was leaner, with two pairs of floating wings, a long tail, and powerful legs.

Ultra Necrozma!

Compared to Necrozma's usual sinister, harsh appearance, Ultra Necrozma was completely different—its warm golden glow felt comforting, like gentle sunlight.

Yet the crushing divine pressure it radiated was impossible to ignore.

"Beautiful… This trip was worth it after all."

Lucas's smile widened uncontrollably.

Even if he gained nothing else from Kalos, Ultra Necrozma's emergence alone made this entire journey worthwhile.

"Necrozma, how do you feel?"

"Wonderful. My power… has returned!"

Ultra Necrozma's telepathy was gentle now—no longer the heavy, somber tone from before.

"Then show me," Lucas said, smiling even more. "Show me what you call power."

Ultra Necrozma looked toward Primal Kyogre and Ice Rider Calyrex on either side of it. The golden light around it intensified beautifully.

Its warm telepathic voice echoed:

"As you wish."
